2江西省农村居民肠道寄生虫感染调查及蛔虫生物流行病学研究显示文摘目的 探讨江西农村居民肠道寄生虫感染现状及蛔虫病生物流行病学特点。 方法 采用粪检、化疗驱虫后收集虫体等方法对江西进贤县鹿塘试区 6 2 5名居民进行了研究。 结果 该试区居民感染 9种肠道寄生虫 ,总感染率为 72 .80 % ,其中蛔虫、钩虫、鞭虫卵的阳性率分别为 5 1.5 2 %、11.80 %和 34 .6 0 %。以噻嘧啶对全体居民治疗后 ,在 5 9.40 %的居民中检获蛔虫 ,感染者平均虫荷为 2 .97条 (范围 1~ 32条 ) ,10 .0 0 %的排虫者可见未成熟蛔虫 ,推算人群每月蛔虫再感染率为 5 .13%。对粪检虫卵假阴性人群的分析显示 ,仅有单性蛔虫寄生者 (单雄或单雌 )占 82 .93% ,有 1条未成熟雌虫和 1~4条雄虫寄生者占 17.0 3%。粪检虫卵假阴性率随着寄生蛔虫数的增加而减少 ,当感染 6条以上蛔虫时 ,无假阴性出现。 结论 该社区人群肠道寄生虫感染率高 ,蛔虫再感染严重 ,有必要进行反复治疗以巩固防治效果 ;由于单性感染或未成熟蛔虫的缘故 ,居民实际蛔虫感染率要高于 Kato-曾小军 陈红根 姜唯声 Jong-Y il Chai Tai-Soon Yong 胡自耕 衣方誉 谢峰 尹东 谢曙英 2001中国寄生虫病防治杂志2001,14,4:20

4Metabolic engineering and flux analysis of Corynebacterium glutamicum for L-serine production显示文摘L-Serine plays a critical role as a building block for cell growth, and thus it is difficult to achieve the direct fermentation of L-serine from glucose. In this study, Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC 13032 was engineered de novo by blocking and attenuating the conversion of L-serine to pyruvate and glycine, releasing the feedback inhibition by L-serine to 3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PGDH), in combination with the co-expression of 3-phosphoglycerate kinase (PGK) and feedback-resistant PGDH (PGDHr). The resulting strain, SER-8, exhibited a lower specific growth rate and significant differences in L-serine levels from Phase I to Phase V as determined for fed-batch fermentation. The intracellular L-serine pool reached (14.22±1.41) μmol gCDM 1, which was higher than glycine pool, contrary to fermentation with the wild-type strain. Furthermore, metabolic flux analysis demonstrated that the over-expression of PGK directed the flux of the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) towards the glycolysis pathway (EMP), and the expression of PGDHr improved the L-serine biosynthesis pathway. In addition, the flux from L-serine to glycine dropped by 24%, indicating that the deletion of the activator GlyR resulted in down-regulation of serine hydroxymethyltransferase (SHMT) expression. 5Simulation research on a minimum root-mean-square error rotation-fitting algorithm for gravity matching navigation显示文摘Gravity/inertial combination navigation is a leading issue in realizing passive navigation onboard a submarine. A new rotation-fitting gravity matching algorithm, based on the Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) algorithm, is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is based on the principle of least mean-square-error criterion, and searches for a certain matched trajectory that runs parallel to a trace indicated by an inertial navigation system on a gravity base map. A rotation is then made clockwise or counterclockwise through a certain angle around the matched trajectory to look for an optimal matched trajectory within a certain angle span range, and through weighted fitting with another eight suboptimal matched trajectories, the endpoint of the fitted trajectory is considered the optimal matched position. In analysis of the algorithm reliability and matching error, the results from simulation indicate that the optimal position can be obtained effectively in real time, and the positioning accuracy improves by 35% and up to 1.05 nautical miles using the proposed algorithm compared with using the widely employed TERCOM and SITAN methods. 6Chemical investigation of the roots of Polygala sibirica L.显示文摘AIM:To investigate the chemical constituents of the roots of Polygala sibirica L.(Polygalaceae) METHOD:The isolation was performed by solvent extraction and various chromatographic techniques,including silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,ODS,semi-preparative HPLC,and preparative TLC.The chemical structures were elucidated based on extensive spectroscopic analysis,including HR-ESI-MS and 1D- and 2D-NMR spectroscopic data.RESULTS:A total of sixteen compounds,including five xanthones(5,7–10),five saccharide esters(1,3,4,12,13),two flavonoids(14,16),two triterpenoids(11,15),one phenylpropanoid(6),and one benzophenone glycoside(2) were isolated.Their structures were determined as sibiricose A7(1),sibiriphenone A(2),polygalatenoside A(3),polygalatenoside C(4),lancerin(5),3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamic acid(6),6-hydroxy-1,2,3,7-tetramethoxyxanthone(7),1,3,7-trihydroxy-2-methoxyxanthone(8),onjixanthone II(9),1,2,3,6,7-pentamethoxyxanthone(10),presenegenin(11),3'-O-3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamoyl-6-O-4-methoxy benzoyl sucrose(12),tenuifoliside C(13),5,3'-dihydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavonol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(14),tenuifolin(15),and rhamnetin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(16).CONCLUSION:Compounds 1 and 2 are two new compounds from P.sibirica.ZHOU Yu-Hong ZHANG Shui-Ying GUO Qiang CHAI Xing-Yun JIANG Yong TU Peng-Fei 2014Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2014,12,3:9
7Mycobacterium tuberculosis Mce2E suppresses the macrophage innate immune response and promotes epithelial cell proliferation显示文摘The intracellular pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb)can survive in the host and cause disease by interfering with a variety of cellular functions.The mammalian cell entry 2(mce2)operon of Mtb has been shown to contribute to tuberculosis pathogenicity.However,little is known about the regulatory roles of Mtb Mce2 family proteins towards host cellular functions.Here we show that the Mce2 family protein Mce2E suppressed the macrophage innate immune response and promoted epithelial cell proliferation.Mce2E inhibited activation of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)and Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathways in a non-canonical D motif(a MAPK-docking motif)-dependent manner,leading to reduced expression of TNF and IL-6 in macrophages.Furthermore,Mce2E promoted proliferation of human lung epithelium-derived lung adenoma A549 cells by inhibiting K48-linked polyubiquitination of eEF1A1 in aβstrand region-dependent manner.In summary,Mce2E is a novel multifunctional Mtb virulence factor that regulates host cellular functions in a niche-dependent manner.Our data suggest a potential novel target for TB therapy.Lihua Qiang Jing Wang Yong Zhang Pupu Ge Qiyao Chai Bingxi Li Yi Shi Lingqiang Zhang George Fu Gao Cui Hua Liu 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,4:7
8Combined community ecology and floristics,a synthetic study on the upper montane evergreen broad-leaved forests in Yunnan,southwestern China显示文摘The upper montane evergreen broad-leaved forest in Yunnan occurs mainly in the zone of persistent cloud and has a discontinuous,island-like,distribution.It is diverse,rich in endemic species,and likely to be sensitive to climate change.Six 1-ha sampling plots were established across the main distribution area of the upper montane evergreen broad-leaved forest in Yunnan.All trees with d.b.h.>1 cm in each plot were identified.Patterns of seed plant distributions were quantified at the specific,generic and family levels.The forests are dominated by the families Fagaceae,Lauraceae,Theaceae and Magnoliaceae,but are very diverse with only a few species shared between sites.Floristic similarities at the family and generic level were high,but they were low at the specific level,with species complementarity between plots.Diversity varied greatly among sites,with greater species richness and more rare species in western Yunnan than central Yunnan.The flora is dominated by tropical biogeographical elements,mainly the pantropic and the tropical Asian distributions at the family and genus levels.In contrast,at the species level,the flora is dominated by the southwest or the southeast China distributions,including Yunnan endemics.This suggests that the flora of the upper montane forest in Yunnan could have a tropical floristic origin,and has adapted to cooler temperatures with the uplift of the Himalayas.Due to great sensitivity to climate,high endemism and species complementarity,as well as the discontinuous,island-like,distribution patterns of the upper montane forest in Yunnan,the regional conservation of the forest is especially needed.Hua Zhu Yong Chai Shisun Zhou Lichun Yan Jipu Shi Guoping Yang 2016Plant Diversity2016,38,6:6

10A fingerprint feature extraction algorithm based on curvature of Bezier curve显示文摘Fingerprint feature extraction is a key step of fingerprint identification. A novel feature extraction algorithm is proposed in this paper, which describes fingerprint feature with the bending information of fingerprint ridges. Ridges in the specific region of fingerprint images are traced firstly in the algorithm, and then these ridges are fit with Bezier curve. Finally, the point that has the maximal curvature on Bezier curve is defined as a feature point. 13Characterization of the Hot Deformation Behavior of Cu–Cr–Zr Alloy by Processing Maps显示文摘Hot deformation behavior of the Cu–Cr–Zr alloy was investigated using hot compressive tests in the temperature range of 650–850 °C and strain rate range of 0.001–10 s-1. The constitutive equation of the alloy based on the hyperbolic-sine equation was established to characterize the flow stress as a function of strain rate and deformation temperature. The critical conditions for the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization were determined based on the alloy strain hardening rate curves. Based on the dynamic material model, the processing maps at the strains of 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5were obtained. When the true strain was 0.5, greater power dissipation efficiency was observed at 800–850 °C and under0.001–0.1 s-1, with the peak efficiency of 47%. The evolution of DRX microstructure strongly depends on the deformation temperature and the strain rate. 15Molecular evolution of hepatitis A virus in a human diploid cell line显示文摘AIM: To investigate the hotspots, direction, and the time course of evolution of hepatitis A virus in the process of consecutive cell culture passage in human KMB17 diploid cells. METHODS: Wild type hepatitis A virus H2w was serially propagated in KMB17 cells until passage 30, and the full-length genomes of H2w and its six chosen progenies were determined by directly sequencing RT-PCR products amplified from viral genomic RNA. Alignment comparison of sequences from H2w with its six progenies and phylogenetic analysis of the whole VP1 region from H2w, progenies of H2w, and other cell culture adapted hepatitis A virus were then carried out to obtain data on the molecular evolution of hepatitis A virus in the process of consecutive passage in KMB17 cells. RESULTS: Most of the mutations occurred by passage 5 and several hotspots related to adaptation of the virus during cell growth were observed. After that stage, few additional mutations occurred through the remaining duration of passage in KMB17 cells except for mutation in the virulence determinants, which occurred in the vicinity of passage 15. The phylogenetic analysis of the whole VP1 region suggested that the progenies of H2w evolved closely to other cell culture adapted hepatitis A virus, i.e. MBB, L-A-1, other than its progenitor H2w. CONCLUSION: Hepatitis A virus served as a useful model for studying molecular evolution of viruses in a given environment. 16The Malaysian cataract surgery registry:incidence and risk factors of postoperative infectious endophthalmitis over a 7-year period显示文摘AIM:To report the incidence,risk factors and visual outcomes for postoperative endophthalmitis(POE)based on 7-year data from the Malaysian Ministry of Health Cataract Surgery Registry(MOH CSR).METHODS:Data was collected from the web-based MOH CSR.All consecutive cataract surgery patients from 1st June 2008 to 31st December 2014 were identified.Exclusion criteria were traumatic cataract or previous ocular surgery.Demographic data,ocular co-morbidities,intraoperative details and postoperative visual acuity(VA)at final ophthalmological follow-up were noted.All eyes were taken for analysis.Subjects with POE were compared against subjects with no POE for risk factor assessment using multiple logistic regressions.RESULTS:A total of 163 503 subjects were screened.The incidence of POE was 0.08%(131/163 503).Demographic POE risk factors included male gender(OR:2.121,95%CI:1.464-3.015)and renal disease(OR:2.867,95%CI:1.503-5.467).POE risk increased with secondary causes of cataract(OR:3.562,95%CI:1.740-7.288),uveitis(OR:11.663,95%CI:4.292-31.693)and diabetic retinopathy(OR:1.720,95%CI:1.078-2.744).Intraoperative factors reducing POE were shorter surgical time(OR:2.114,95%CI:1.473-3.032),topical or intracameral anaesthesia(OR:1.823,95%CI:1.278-2.602),posterior chamber intraocular lens(PCIOL;OR:4.992,95%CI:2.689-9.266)and foldable IOL(OR:2.276,95%CI:1.498-3.457).POE risk increased with posterior capsule rupture(OR:3.773,95%CI:1.915-7.432)and vitreous loss(OR:3.907,95%CI:1.720-8.873).Postoperative VA of 6/12 or better was achieved in 15.27%(20/131)subjects with POE.CONCLUSION:This study concurs with other studies regarding POE risk factors.Further strengthening of MOH CSR data collection process will enable deeper analysis and optimization of POE treatment.Yong Zheng Wai Fiona Lee Min Chew Mohamad Aziz Salowi Chai Liang Ang Yong Yuin Chong Tassha Hilda Adnan Pik-Pin Goh 2018International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2018,11,10:3
17Mechanisms responsible for the inhibitory effects of epothilone B on scar formation after spinal cord injury显示文摘Scar formation after spinal cord injury is regarded as an obstacle to axonal regeneration and functional recovery.Epothilone B provides moderate microtubule stabilization and is mainly used for anti-tumor therapy.It also reduces scar tissue formation and promotes axonal regeneration after spinal cord injury.The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect and mechanism of the microtubule-stabilizing reagent epothilone B in decreasing fibrotic scarring through its action on pericytes after spinal cord injury.A rat model of spinal cord injury was established via dorsal complete transection at the T10 vertebra.The rats received an intraperitoneal injection of epothilone B(0.75 mg/kg) at 1 and 15 days post-injury in the epothilone B group or normal saline in the vehicle group.Neuron-glial antigen 2,platelet-derived growth factor receptor β,and fibronectin protein expression were dramatically lower in the epothilone B group than in the vehicle group,but β-tubulin protein expression was greater.Glial fibrillary acidic protein at the injury site was not affected by epothilone B treatment.The Basso,Beattie,and Bresnahan locomotor scores were significantly higher in the epothilone B group than in the vehicle group.The results of this study demonstrated that epothilone B reduced the number of pericytes,inhibited extracellular matrix formation,and suppressed scar formation after spinal cord injury.Wei Zhao Yong Chai Yun Hou Da-wei Wang Jian-qiang Xing Cheng Yang Qing-min Fang 2017Neural Regeneration Research2017,12,3:3
183D printing of hydroxyapatite/tricalcium phosphate scaffold with hierarchical porous structure for bone regeneration显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)-printed scaffolds have attracted considerable attention in recent years as they provide a suitable environment for bone cell tissue regeneration and can be customized in shape.Among many other challenges,the material composition and geometric structure have major impacts on the performance of scaffolds.Hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate(HA/TCP),as the major constituents of natural bone and teeth,possess attractive biological properties and are widely used in bone scaffold fabrication.Many fabrication methods have been investigated in attempts to achieve HA/TCP scaffolds with microporous structure enabling cell growth and nutrient transport.However,current 3D printing methods can only achieve the fabrication of HA/TCP scaffolds with certain range of microporous structure.To overcome this challenge,we developed a slurry-based microscale mask image projection stereolithography,allowing us to form a HA/TCP-based photocurable suspension with complex geometry including biomimetic features and hierarchical porosity.Here,the curing performance and physical properties of the HA/TCP suspension were investigated,and a circular movement process for the fabrication of highly viscous HA/TCP suspension was developed.Based on these investigations,the scaffold composition was optimized.We determined that a 30 wt%HA/TCP scaffold with biomimetic hierarchical structure exhibited superior mechanical properties and porosity.Cell proliferation was investigated in vitro,and the surgery was conducted in a nude mouse in vivo model of long bone with cranial neural crest cells and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.The results showed our 3D-printed HA/TCP scaffold with biomimetic hierarchical structure is biocompatible and has sufficient mechanical strength for surgery.Xiangjia Li Yuan Yuan Luyang Liu Yuen‑Shan Leung Yiyu Chen Yuxing Guo Yang Chai Yong Chen 2020Bio-Design and Manufacturing2020,3,1:3
19The solar wind plasma upstream of Mars observed by Tianwen-1:Comparison with Mars Express and MAVEN显示文摘On the great journey to Mars,China’s first planetary exploration mission,the Tianwen-1 came within 26 million kilometers of Mars from 31 October 2020 to 25 January 2021 and was getting closer to its destination,the red planet,in search of answers to the cataclysmic climate change that occurred in Martian history.Both the escape of the Martian atmosphere and the loss of surface water were firmly influenced by solar activities.Tianwen-1 provided a unique chance to depict the solar wind streams between Earth and Mars during the minimum of Solar Cycle 25.During the three-month cruise phase of Tianwen-1,the solar wind flows were successively observed at Earth,Tianwen-1,and Mars.After the field of view correction and noise reduction,the solar wind velocity and density measured by Tianwen-1 show good agreement with those at Earth and Mars.The results indicate that the performance of the ion analyzer onboard the Tianwen-1 orbiter is reliable and stable.It is worth looking forward to the joint observations of ion escape with other Mars probes in the following Martian years.Kai FAN Limei YAN Yong WEI Aibing ZHANG Linggao KONG Markus FRÄNZ Fei HE Lihui CHAI Chongjing YUAN Yuqi WANG Jun ZHONG Zhaojin RONG Zhonghua YAO Yongxin PAN Jun CUI Jiansen HE Wenya LI Binbin TANG Chi WANG 2022Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,4:2
