1New generation of multi-scale NWP system (GRAPES):general scientific design显示文摘A new generation of numerical prediction system GRAPES (a short form of Global/Regional Assimilation and PrEdiction System) was set up in China Meteorological Administration (CMA). This paper focuses on the scientific design and preliminary results of the numerical prediction model in GRAPES, including basic idea and strategy of the general scientific design, multi-scale dynamic core, physical package configuration, architecture and parallelization of the codes. A series of numerical experiments using the real data with horizontal resolutions from 10 to 280 km and idealized experiments with very high resolution up to 100 m are conducted, giving encouraging results supporting the multi-scale application of GRAPES. The results of operational implementation of GRAPES model in some NWP centers are also presented with stress at evaluations of the capability to predict the main features of precipitation in China. 2Porous Graphene Microflowers for High-Performance Microwave Absorption显示文摘Graphene has shown great potential in microwave absorption(MA) owing to its high surface area, low density,tunable electrical conductivity and good chemical stability.To fully realize graphenes& MA ability, the microstructure of graphene should be carefully addressed. Here we prepared graphene microflowers(Gmfs) with highly porous structure for high-performance MA filler material. The efficient absorption bandwidth(reflection loss B-10 dB) reaches 5.59 GHz and the minimum reflection loss is up to -42.9 dB, showing significant increment compared with stacked graphene. Such performance is higher than most graphene-based materials in the literature. Besides, the low filling content(10 wt%) and low density(40–50 mg cm^(-3))are beneficial for the practical applications. Without compounding with magnetic materials or conductive polymers,Gmfs show outstanding MA performance with the aid of rational microstructure design. 3Unscented Kalman filter for SINS alignment显示文摘In order to improve the filter accuracy for the nonlinear error model of strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) alignment, Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) is presented for simulation with stationary base and moving base of SINS alignment. Simulation results show the superior performance of this approach when compared with classical suboptimal techniques such as extended Kalman filter in eases of large initial misalignment. 4Verification of GRAPES unified global and regional numerical weather prediction model dynamic core显示文摘During the past few years, most of the new developed numerical weather prediction models adopt the strategy of multi-scale technique. Therefore, China Meteorological Administration has devoted to developing a new generation of global and regional multi-scale model since 2003. In order to validate the performance of the GRAPES (Global and Regional Assimilation and PrEdiction System) model both for its scientific design and program coding, a suite of idealized tests has been proposed and conducted, which includes the density flow test, three-dimensional mountain wave and the cross-polar flow test. The density flow experiment indicates that the dynamic core has the ability to simulate the fine scale nonlinear flow structures and its transient features. While the three-dimensional mountain wave test shows that the model can reproduce the horizontal and vertical propagation of internal gravity waves quite well. Cross-polar flow test demonstrates the rationality of both for the semi-Lagrangian departure point calculation and the discretization of the model near the poles. 5Environmentally Friendly and Multifunctional Shaddock Peel-Based Carbon Aerogel for Thermal-Insulation and Microwave Absorption显示文摘Eco-friendly electromagnetic wave absorbing materials with excellent thermal infrared stealth property,heat-insulating ability and compression resistance are highly attractive in practical applications.Meeting the aforesaid requirements simultaneously is a formidable challenge.Herein,ultra-light carbon aerogels were fabricated via fresh shaddock peel by facile freeze-drying method and calcination process,forming porous network architecture.With the heating platform temperature of 70℃,the upper surface temperatures of the as-prepared carbon aerogel present a slow upward trend.The color of the sample surface in thermal infrared images is similar to that of the surroundings.With the maximum compressive stress of 2.435 kPa,the carbon aerogels can provide favorable endurance.The shaddock peel-based carbon aerogels possess the minimum reflection loss value(RLmin)of−29.50 dB in X band.Meanwhile,the effective absorption bandwidth covers 5.80 GHz at a relatively thin thickness of only 1.7 mm.With the detection theta of 0°,the maximum radar cross-sectional(RCS)reduction values of 16.28 dB m^(2) can be achieved.Theoretical simulations of RCS have aroused extensive interest owing to their ingenious design and time-saving feature.This work paves the way for preparing multi-functional microwave absorbers derived from biomass raw materials under the guidance of RCS simulations.Weihua Gu Jiaqi Sheng Qianqian Huang Gehuan Wang Jiabin Chen Guangbin Ji 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,7:11
6Longitudinal non-vascular transport pathways originating from acupuncture points in extremities visualised in human body显示文摘A subcutaneous transport pathway in humans has been previously visualised by injection of a paramagnetic tracer into the specific region of skin.In the current study,we further investigated the behaviours of imaging tracers in the transport pathways using imaging techniques.Three types of imaging tracers,including Gd-DTPA,iodised oil,and fluorescein sodium,were hypodermically injected into different acupuncture points of healthy volunteers to visualise the transport pathways by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),X-ray,CT,and a digital fluorescein camera.Several longitudinal transport pathways in the arms and feet,which represent venous vessels and subcutaneous transport pathways(STPs) without well-defined boundaries,were visualised by MRI.Among the visualised veins,the partial walls of a few veins were enhanced by Gd-DTPA.The fluorescent images further indicated that STPs likely represent boundless pathways.The findings in this study suggested that specific anatomical structures within the subcutaneous tissues or the partial walls of certain veins werenot vascular conduits but rather represented unique transport pathways in humans that warrant extensive future studies.Hongyi Li Jiabin Tong Weiguo Cao Min Chen Hua Li Hong Dai Liang Xu Xiaoliang Chen 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,35:10

10The point defect and electronic structure of K doped LaCo_(0.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3)perovskite with enhanced microwave absorbing ability显示文摘ABO_(3)perovskites,owning unique properties,have great research prospect in electromagnetic wave absorption field.Normally,doping can significantly regulate the dielectric loss,whereas the magnetic loss can be ignored.In this work,the crystal structure and electromagnetic properties can be regulated systematically by the K,Fe co-doping for LaCoO_(3)perovskites(LKCFO)under the condition of fixed F content.In addition,the obtained samples show the obvious interfacial polarization effect on accounting to the small size effect,which is conducive to the effective microwave absorption.By analyzing the evolution of the positron annihilation lifetime and the first-principles calculation of the oxygen density of states for the series of LKCFO perovskites,it is found that the charge transport characteristics will be controlled by the point defect generated by allelic doping.The point defect content decreases and then increases as the doping level rises.The prepared perovskite exhibits the lowest defect density and the largest dielectric loss capability,which indicates that the lower point defects promote electron migration and thus enhance the dielectric loss;thus,the electromagnetic wave absorption bandwidth up to 6.2 GHz is reached.In contrast,both insufficient and excessive K doping are detrimental to the enhancement of microwave absorption.Especially,the practical application value was investigated using Computer Simulation Technology(CST)simulations.The LKCFO-2 exhibits the smallest RCS value(below-10 dBm^(2))at almost-90°-90°with a thickness of 2 mm,providing an effective method for study excellent microwave absorption and scattering property.Fan Wang Weihua Gu Jiabin Chen Yue Wu Ming Zhou Shaolong Tang Xingzhong Cao Peng Zhang Guangbin Ji 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:7
11A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 12Arabidopsis ANAC092 regulates auxin-mediated root development by binding to the ARF8 and PIN4 promoters显示文摘Auxin is an important plant hormone that is essential for growth and development due to its effects on organogenesis, morphogenesis, tropisms, and apical dominance. The functional diversity of auxin highlights the importance of its biosynthesis, transport, and associated responses. In this study, we show that a NAC transcription factor, ANAC092(also named At NAC2 and ORESARA1),known to positively regulate leaf senescence and contribute to abiotic stress responses, also affects primary root development. Plants overexpressing ANAC092 had altered root meristem lengths and shorter primary roots compared with the wild-type control. Additionally, expression of the pro ANAC092::GUS was strongly induced by indole-3-acetic acid. Quantitative real-time RT-PCR(q RT-PCR) analysis revealed that the YUCCA2, PIN, and ARF expression levels were downregulated in ANAC092-overexpressing plants. Moreover, yeast one-hybrid and chromatin immunoprecipitation assays confirmed that ANAC092 binds to the promoters of AUXIN RESPONSE FACTOR 8(ARF8) and PIN-FORMED 4(PIN4). Furthermore, a dual-luciferase assay indicated that ANAC092 decreases ARF8 and PIN4 promoter activities. We also applied a CRISPR/Cas9 system to mutate ANAC092. The roots of three of the analyzed mutants were longer than normal. 13Improved electromagnetic dissipation of Fe doping LaCoO_(3)toward broadband microwave absorption显示文摘Perovskite LaCoO_(3)is of great potential in electromagnetic wave absorption considering its outstanding dielectric loss as well as the existing magnetic response with the magnetic doping.However,the dissipation mechanism of the magnetic doping on the microwave absorption is lack of sufficient investigated.In this paper,LaCo_(1-x)Fe_(x)O_(3)(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2,0.25,0.3,LCFOs)perovskites with different Fe doping amounts were prepared successfully by the sol-gel method and subsequent heat treatment in the air atmosphere.The structure characterization carried out by the frst-principles calculations shows the effect of Fe doping on the dielectric and magnetic properties of LCFOs and the strong hybridization of Co/Fe-3d with O-2p in the LCFOs system was successfully demonstrated.Particularly,when x=0.1 and the thickness is only 1.95 mm,the LaCo_(0.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3)exhibits the best microwave absorption performance with the minimum reflection loss(RL)value of about-41 dB.The typical samples achieve a broad effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 5.16 GHz(7.92-13.08 GHz),which covers the total X band(8-12 GHz).Considering that,the especial Fe doping perovskite is promising to be a candidate as efficient microwave absorbers.Fan Wang Weihua Gu Jiabin Chen Qianqian Huang Mingyang Han Gehuan Wang Guangbin Ji 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,10:6
14Carbamazepine degradation by heterogeneous activation of peroxymonosulfate with lanthanum cobaltite perovskite:Performance,mechanism and toxicity显示文摘The widely used carbamazepine(CBZ)is one of the most persistent pharmaceuticals and suffers insufficient removal efficiency by conventional wastewater treatment.A synthesized Co-based perovskite(LaCoO3)was used to activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)in order to degrade CBZ.Results showed that LaCoO3 exhibited an excellent performance in PMS activation and CBZ degradation at neutral pH,with low cobalt leaching.The results of FT-IR and XPS verified the high structurally and chemically stability of LaCoO3 in PMS activation.Electron spin resonance(ESR)analysis suggested the generation of radical species,such as sulfate radicals(SO4·-)and hydroxyl radicals(·OH).Radical quenching experiments further revealed the responsibility of SO4·-as the dominant oxidant for CBZ oxidation.Ten products were detected via the oxidation of CBZ,with the olefinic double bond attacked by SO4·-as the initial step.Hydroxylation,hydrolysis,cyclization and dehydration were involved along the transformation of CBZ.The toxicity of CBZ solution was significantly reduced after treating by PMS/LaCoO3.Huichao Guo Xuefei Zhou Yalei Zhang Qiufang Yao Yajie Qian Huaqiang Chu Jiabin Chen 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,5:4
15Critical review of perovskites-based advanced oxidation processes for wastewater treatment: Operational parameters, reaction mechanisms,and prospects显示文摘In the field of advanced oxidation processes(AOPs) of wastewater, many materials can be used as heterogeneous catalysts. The role of these catalysts is to activate oxidants and generate reactive oxygen species(ROS) to decompose refractory pollutants. Perovskite oxide, an emerging catalyst in the field of AOPs, has been extensively studied in wastewater treatment. Nevertheless, the application of perovskite in AOP systems still faces some problems, such as leaching of metal ions, a small surface area, a low number of active sites, etc. Herein, this critical review comparatively examines the activation mechanisms of peroxymonosulfate, hydrogen peroxide, and peroxydisulfate. Furthermore, the formation pathways of oxidizing species based on recent advances in experimental and theoretical studies were evaluated. In addition, the impacts of water parameters and constituents such as initial p H, oxidant concentration, catalyst dosage,natural organic matter, halide, phosphate, and carbonate were discussed. 16Robotic-assisted versus open total pancreatectomy: a propensity score-matched study显示文摘Background:Total pancreatectomy(TP)is a complex surgical procedure with significant postoperative morbidity.Despite the narrowed range of indications for TP,the introduction of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and the increasing complexity of surgical resections performed in high-volume centers has increased the number of annually performed TPs,especially regarding malignant disease.The introduction of robotic-assisted pancreatic surgery has provided a novel and minimally invasive approach for TP,yet the feasibility of this technique is still unknown.This study assessed the safety and efficacy of robotic-assisted total pancreatectomy(RTP)compared to conventional open total pancreatectomy(OTP).Methods:All patients who underwent TP between March 2015 and July 2019 in a high-volume institution for pancreatic surgery were included in this retrospective study.Clinical data and perioperative outcomes were derived from the prospectively maintained institutional database.A 1:1 propensity score matching(PSM)method was utilized to compare the RTP and OTP cohorts to minimize bias.Results:A standardized surgical protocol was utilized for RTP following a learning curve of RPD and RDP.The median operative time for patients who underwent RTP was significantly decreased compared to those who underwent OTP[300(IQR,250-360)vs.360 min(IQR,300-525),P=0.031].Additionally,en bloc resection and spleen-preserving rates were also higher in the RTP cohort.Major 30-day morbidity(Clavien-Dindo>IIIa)and 90-day mortality were similar between the two cohorts.After a median follow-up time of 15(IQR,8-24)months,both the RTP and OTP cohorts had a comparable quality of life regarding exocrine and endocrine insufficiency.Conclusions:RTP appears to be safe and feasible when utilized in high-volume centers for the indicated management of benign and highly selected malignant pancreatic disease.However,further prospective randomized studies are needed to assess the feasibility of this approach.Yuanchi Weng Mengmin Chen Georgios Gemenetzis Yusheng Shi Xiayang Ying Xiaxing Deng Chenghong Peng Jiabin Jin Baiyong Shen 2020Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2020,9,6:3

18Magnetomotive Force Harmonic Reduction Techniques for Fractional-Slot Non-Overlapping Winding Configurations in Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Machines显示文摘Compared to conventional distributed winding configurations,the fractional-slot non-overlapping(concentrated)windings exhibit advantages such as short end-winding length,high copper packing factor(particularly with segmented stator structure),low cogging torque,good field weakening capability owing to relatively large d-axis inductance,and better fault tolerant capability due to low mutual inductance.However,one of the key problems of employing concentrated windings in Permanent-magnet Synchronous Machines(PMSMs)is the high eddy-current losses in rotor magnets and/or rotor iron due to the presence of a large number of lower and higher order space harmonics in the stator Magneto-Motive Force(MMF).These MMF harmonics also result in other undesirable effects,such as acoustic noise and vibrations,and localized core saturation which tend to reduce reluctance torque.This paper reviews the current state-of-the-art of the MMF harmonic reduction techniques for concentrated winding configurations in PMSMs,including winding split and shift,delta-star connected windings,multiple 3-phase windings,multilayer windings,uneven turn numbers,and stator flux barriers.Their concepts,advantages and disadvantages are presented and assessed.Xiao Chen Jiabin Wang 2017Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2017,3,2:3
19Study on Clutter Model and Characteristics of Airborne Radar with Parabolic Conformal Phased Array显示文摘The studies on clutter modeling and suppression of airborne radar with a parabolic conformal array are uncommon due to the complexity of this type of antenna array configuration.The correct understanding of clutter characteristics for airborne radar with a parabolic conformal antenna array is the prerequisite and foundation of optimal suppression of this type of clutter.This paper establishes the model of clutter echo of airborne parabolic conformal phased array radar and analyzes the structure characteristics and the distribution features of this type of clutter.The simulation results show that this type of clutter has the following characteristics:1) The main lobe on the azimuth is seriously broadened,2) the power spectrum presents strong heterogeneity,and 3) the freedom degrees are high.Based on the existing related clutter suppression methods,we verified the correctness of the constructed clutter model.This work has an important guidance to further study on clutter suppression methods in airborne parabolic conformal array radar.Hao Jiang Nini Rao Xingbo Chen Jiabin Zhou Chaoyang Qiu Wen Zhai Zhimei Hao 2016Journal of Electronic Science and Technology2016,14,1:2
20Progress and perspective of Li_(1+x)Al_(x)Ti_(2-x)(PO_(4))_(3) ceramic electrolyte in lithium batteries显示文摘The replacement of liquid organic electrolytes with solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)is a feasible way to solve the safety issues and improve the energy density of lithium batteries.Developing SSEs materials that can well match with high-voltage cathodes and lithium metal anode is quite significant to develop high-energy-density lithium batteries.Li_(1+x)Al_(x)Ti_(2-x)(PO_(4))_(3)(LATP)SSE with NASICON structure exhibits high ionic conductivity,low cost and superior air stability,which enable it as one of the most hopeful candidates for all-solidstate batteries(ASSBs).However,the high interfacial impedance between LATP and electrodes,and the severe interfacial side reactions with the lithium metal greatly limit its applications in ASSBs.This review introduces the crystal structure and ion transport mechanisms of LATP and summarizes the key factors affecting the ionic conductivity.The side reaction mechanisms of LATP with Li metal and the promising strategies for optimizing interfacial compatibility are reviewed.We also summarize the applications of LATP including as surface coatings of cathode particles,ion transport network additives and inorganic fillers of composite polymer electrolytes.At last,this review proposes the challenges and the future development directions of LATP in SSBs.Ke Yang Likun Chen Jiabin Ma Yan-Bing He Feiyu Kang 2021InfoMat2021,3,11:2
