| 1 | ~1H nuclear magnetic resonance-based metabolomic study on efficacy of Qingrehuatan decoction against abundant phlegm-heat syndrome in young adults with essential hypertension显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the influence of Qingrehuatan decoction(QRHT) on serum metabolic profile in young essential hypertension(YEH) patients with abundant phlegm-heat syndrome and provide a basis for treatment with the decoction.METHODS: Twelve male YEH patients were randomly selected and serum samples were collected for examination before and after 4 weeks of thetreatment with QRHT. Twelve healthy males were randomly selected and their serum samples were collected as a control. All serum samples were detected using metabolomic technology with1 H nuclear magnetic resonance. Differences in metabolites were studied by principal component analysis and partial least squares-discriminate analysis,which produced scores and loadings plots.RESULTS: After 4 weeks of treatment, serum substances could be distinguished between the YEH patients with abundant phlegm-heat syndrome and the control patients. The specific serum endogenous metabolites tended to improve after the treatment. QRHT can appropriately increase the levels of glucose, lactic acid, citric acid, high-density lipoprotein, phosphatidylcholine, glycerophosphate choline, hydroxybutyrate, alanine, and glutamate.QRHT could also decrease the levels of low-density lipoprotein/very low-density lipoprotein, lipids,N-acetyl glycoprotein, and O-acetyl glycoprotein.CONCLUSION: QRHT can effectively ameliorate metabolic disorders in YEH Patients with abundant phlegm- heat syndrome.1H NMR-based metabolomic technology can provide an objective basis for the treatment of YEH patients with abundant phlegm-heat syndrome using QRHT. | Feng Xuanchao Yang Zheng Chu Yuguang Du Bai Su Mei Li Yi Wang Yinghong Jiang Chunying Hu Yuanhui | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,1: | 6 |

| 5 | SIRT7 orchestrates melanoma progression by simultaneously promoting cell survival and immune evasion via UPR activation显示文摘Melanoma is the most lethal type of skin cancer,originating from the malignant transformation of melanocyte.While the development of targeted therapy and immunotherapy has gained revolutionary advances in potentiating the therapeutic effect,the prognosis of patients with melanoma is still suboptimal.During tumor progression,melanoma frequently encounters stress from both endogenous and exogenous sources in tumor microenvironment.SIRT7 is a nuclear-localized deacetylase of which the activity is highly dependent on intracellular nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+),with versatile biological functions in maintaining cell homeostasis.Nevertheless,whether SIRT7 regulates tumor cell biology and tumor immunology in melanoma under stressful tumor microenvironment remains elusive.Herein,we reported that SIRT7 orchestrates melanoma progression by simultaneously promoting tumor cell survival and immune evasion via the activation of unfolded protein response.We first identified that SIRT7 expression was the most significantly increased one in sirtuins family upon stress.Then,we proved that the deficiency of SIRT7 potentiated tumor cell death under stress in vitro and suppressed melanoma growth in vivo.Mechanistically,SIRT7 selectively activated the IRE1α-XBP1 axis to potentiate the pro-survival ERK signal pathway and the secretion of tumorpromoting cytokines.SIRT7 directly de-acetylated SMAD4 to antagonize the TGF-β-SMAD4 signal,which relieved the transcriptional repression on IRE1αand induced the activation of the IRE1α-XBP1 axis.Moreover,SIRT7 up-regulation eradicated anti-tumor immunity by promoting PD-L1 expression via the IRE1α-XBP1 axis.Additionally,the synergized therapeutic effect of SIRT7 suppression and anti-PD-1 immune checkpoint blockade was also investigated.Taken together,SIRT7 can be employed as a promising target to restrain tumor growth and increase the effect of melanoma immunotherapy. | Xiuli Yi Huina Wang Yuqi Yang Hao Wang Hengxiang Zhang Sen Guo Jianru Chen Juan Du Yangzi Tian Jingjing Ma Baolu Zhang Lili Wu Qiong Shi Tianwen Gao Weinan Guo Chunying | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4: | 1 |

| 8 | Theoretic heat sink simulation and experimental investigation of the pyrolysis of substituted cyclohexanes显示文摘Reaxgen program for the pyrolysis mechanism of cycloalkanes was adopted to simulate the heat sink of substituted cyclohexanes. Thermal cracking of cyclohexanes was performed to examine the cracking performance, wherein the substituent effects were detailedly discussed under supercritical condition. It was found that Reaxgen program played a good part in the screening and optimization of cyclohexanes. A good agreement with the experimental data for the mono-substituted and bi-substituted cyclohexanes was demonstrated, however, some deviation for the tri-substituted cyclohexanes were observed. The experiment results indicated that the gaseous product yield increased sharply for monosubstituted cyclohexanes with short substituents containing no more than two carbons. Nevertheless, continuous increase in the alkyl chain depressed the gaseous product yield smoothly. The cyclic substituent dramatically inhibited the pyrolysis of cyclohexanes. All the substituents but cyclohexyl had no obvious effect on the yield of hydrogen and olefins(≤C4). For bi-substituted cyclohexanes, the more close the distance between the two substituents, the higher the gaseous product yield was obtained. However, opposite result on the selectivity to hydrogen and olefins(≤C4) was generally obtained except 1,3-dimethylcyclohexane. | 17 | Alleviation of Drought Stress in Wheat Using Exogenous Ulva prolifera Extract Produced by Enzymatic Hydrolysis显示文摘Drought is one of the major abiotic stresses that affect plant growth and reduce agricultural productivity.Use of algal extract as a biostimulant is gaining increased attention from researchers.This study aimed to investigate the potential of Ulva prolifera extract(UE)as a biostimulant when enzymatically extracted under conditions of water deficit.UE treatments(0.02%,0.06%,and 0.1%)significantly improved the shoot length,root length,and dry weight of roots after 120 h of drought stress relative to that in treatment with the negative control.An increase in catalase(CAT)and peroxidase(POD)activity was also observed that resulted in improved antioxidant capacity.Application of 0.1%UE reduced the malondialdehyde(MDA)content by 30.06%compared with that in the negative control.In addition,the soluble sugar and protein content in wheat treated with 0.1%UE was increased by 23.10%and 93.51%,respectively,resulting in adjustment of the osmotic pressure.Results suggest that UE could significantly enhance the drought tolerance of wheat.This study provides a basis for increasing the value of UE as a biostimulant. | Feiyu Li Siqi Zuo Yongzhou Chi Chunying Du Zhaopeng Shen Xihong Han Xiaohui Wang Peng Wang | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,11: | 0 |
