1Abnormal Effective Connectivity in the Brain is Involved in Auditory Verbal Hallucinations in Schizophrenia显示文摘Information flow among auditory and language processing-related regions implicated in the pathophysiology of auditory verbal hallucinations(AVHs) in schizophrenia(SZ) remains unclear. In this study, we used stochastic dynamic causal modeling(s DCM) to quantify connections among the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(inner speech monitoring), auditory cortex(auditory processing), hippocampus(memory retrieval), thalamus(information filtering), and Broca's area(language production) in 17 first-episode drug-na?¨ve SZ patients with AVHs, 15 without AVHs, and 19 healthy controls using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging.Finally, we performed receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analysis and correlation analysis between image measures and symptoms. s DCM revealed an increasedsensitivity of auditory cortex to its thalamic afferents and a decrease in hippocampal sensitivity to auditory inputs in SZ patients with AVHs. The area under the ROC curve showed the diagnostic value of these two connections to distinguish SZ patients with AVHs from those without AVHs. Furthermore, we found a positive correlation between the strength of the connectivity from Broca's area to the auditory cortex and the severity of AVHs. These findings demonstrate, for the first time, augmented AVHspecific excitatory afferents from the thalamus to the auditory cortex in SZ patients, resulting in auditory perception without external auditory stimuli. Our results provide insights into the neural mechanisms underlying AVHs in SZ. 2Scalp-cluster acupuncture with electrical stimulation can improve motor and living ability in convalescent patients with post-stroke hemiplegia显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To determine whether patients with post-stroke hemiplegia could benefit from long-term treatment with scalp cluster(SC) acupuncture combined with electrical stimulation(ES)and to evaluate the feasibility of this treatment to improve motor and living abilities.METHODS: Twenty patients were enrolled and divided into two groups: SC acupuncture and SC acupuncture with ES(SC and SC + ES, respectively). All participants also received rehabilitation training.All participants were blindly evaluated using the Fugl-Meyer assessment scale for motor ability, the modified Barthel Index for living ability, and a scale for the degree of neurological deficits. Outcome was assessed at three points before randomized grouping, at the beginning or treatment, and after4 weeks of treatment.RESULTS: Following 4 weeks treatment, all the patients exhibited significant improvements in aspects of motor ability, living ability, and the severity of neurological deficits. 3Operando reconstruction-induced CO_(2)reduction activity and selectivity for cobalt-based photocatalysis显示文摘The oxygen atom coordination inducing the structure reconstruction of the catalytic site is identified and recognized ambiguously,which is related to accurately declare the mechanism in a dynamic catalytic process.Herein,we demonstrated that the reconstructed catalytic sites would lead to a remarkable performance for photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction.At the initial 4-cycles testing,the in-situ formation of CoOx active sites on the Co(CoP)surface performed an increasing transient activity and selectivity toward CO evolution.The formation of reconstructive Co-O bond and the appearance of intermediate specie CO were simultaneously observed by the pre-operando Raman,revealing the dynamic relationship between catalytic site structure and the photocatalytic properties.Moreover,density functional theory calculations showed that the electronic structure of the reconstructive surface sites could modulate the ability of CO_(2)adsorption and CO desorption.The reduced barrier energy for the rate-determining step finally improved the activity and selectivity of CO_(2)reduction.Kun Zhao Weiying Pang Shuaiyu Jiang Canyu Hu Porun Liu Dandan Cui Xuefei An Baojuan Tian Chao Gao Pan Zhang Meng Tian Dong Fu Huijun Zhao 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:1
