3Experimental continuous sludge microwave system to enhance dehydration ability and hydrogen production from anaerobic digestion of sludge显示文摘Dehydrating large amounts of sludge produced by sewage treatment plants is difficult.Microwave pretreatment can effectively and significantly improve the dewaterability and hydrogen production of sludge subjected to anaerobic digestion. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of different microwave conditions on hydrogen production from anaerobic digestion and dewaterability of sludge. Based on an analysis of the electric field distribution, a spiral reactor was designed and a continuous microwave system was built to conduct intermittent and continuous experiments under different conditions. Settling Volume, Capillary Suction Time, particle size, and moisture content of the sludge were measured. The results show that sludge pretreatment in continuous experiments has equally remarkable dehydration performance as in intermittent experiments; the minimum moisture content was 77.29% in the intermittent experiment under a microwave power of 300 W and an exposure time of 60 sec, and that in the continuous experiment was 77.56% under a microwave power of 400 W and an exposure time of 60 sec.The peak measured by Differential Scanning Calorimeter appeared earliest under a microwave power of 600 W and an exposure time of 180 sec. The heat flux at the peak was 4.343 W/g, which is relatively small. This indicates that microwave pretreatment induced desirable effects. The maximum yield of hydrogen production was 7.967% under the conditions of microwave power of 500 W, exposure time of 120 sec, and water bath at 55°C. 5Extension of continuous scanning laser Doppler vibrometry measurement for complex structures with curved surfaces显示文摘The continuous Scanning Laser Doppler Vibrometry(SLDV)developed on the base of the galvanometer scanner system has made it possible to quickly obtain the full field vibration responses within a rectangular area of the structure.In this paper,an arbitrary continuous scanning path generating method for Continuous Scanning Laser Doppler Vibometry(CSLDV)is further put forward in order to allow the CSLDV suitable for testing structures featured by complex shapes not just for regular areas.In the first step,the relationship between position of laser spot and the driving voltages of galvanometer scanner system has been described by a mathematical modeling.Then,a novel arbitrary scanning path generating strategy based on CSLDV is presented by deforming a normalization rectangular scanning path to an arbitrary continuous scanning path.The mapping relation between the normalization rectangular scanning path and arbitrary continuous scanning path is established using the reference points.In the second step,a compressor blade with curved surface was taken as an example for modal test using the proposed method.At the same time,a validated experiment was performed in SLDV.The results show the mode shapes derived from the extended CSLDV are in agreement with those from SLDV and the Modal Assurance Criterion(MAC)between the two are all greater than 0.96.They also demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method for CSLDV test and show strong potential on further practical engineering applications.Cuihong LIU Chaoping ZANG Biao ZHOU 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,12:3
6Ecotoxicological effects of polycyclic musks and cadmium on seed germination and seedling growth of wheat(Triticum aestivum)显示文摘Single and joint toxic effects of polycyclic musks including 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-4,6,6,7,8,8-hexamethylcyclopenta[g]-2benzopyran (HHCB) and 7-acetyl-1,1,3,4,4,6-hexamethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronapthalene (AHTN) and cadmium (Cd) on seed germination and seedling growth of wheat (Triticum aestivum) were investigated.The results showed that the toxicity sequence of HHCB toxic to wheat seed germination and seedling growth was similar to that of AHTN,that is,germination rate > shoot elongation > root elongation,while the toxicity of Cd was in the sequence of root elongation > shoot elongation > germination rate,according to the LC50 and EC50 values.It is suggested that polycyclic musks and Cd had different toxicological mechanisms.Root and shoot elongation of wheat might be good bioindicators for the contamination of polycyclic musks and Cd in soil.The mixture of polycyclic musks and Cd had synergistic effects on T.aestivum according to the equi-toxic mixture approach when root elongation was selected as the toxicological endpoint.Thus,the joint toxicity of HHCB and Cd was significantly higher than the single toxicity of HHCB or Cd,which was also confirmed by the EC50 mix value of the mixture (EC50 mix=0.530 TU mix).The EC50 mix value of the mixture of AHTN and Cd was 0.614 TU mix,which indicated that the mixture toxicity was strengthened when AHTN coexisted with Cd.Cuihong Chen Qixing Zhou Yanyu Bao Yaning Li Ping Wang 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,12:2

8A two-stage amplified PZT sensor for monitoring lung and heart sounds in discharged pneumonia patients显示文摘Assessment of lung and heart states is of critical importance for patients with pneumonia.In this study,we present a small-sized and ultrasensitive accelerometer for continuous monitoring of lung and heart sounds to evaluate the lung and heart states of patients.Based on two-stage amplification,which consists of an asymmetric gapped cantilever and a charge amplifier,our accelerometer exhibited an extremely high ratio of sensitivity to noise compared with conventional structures.Our sensor achieves a high sensitivity of 9.2V/g at frequencies less than 1000 Hz,making it suitable to use to monitor weak physiological signals,including heart and lung sounds.For the first time,lung injury,heart injury,and both lung and heart injuries in discharged pneumonia patients were revealed by our sensor device.Our sound sensor also successfully tracked the recovery course of the discharged pneumonia patients.Over time,the lung and heart states of the patients gradually improved after discharge.Our observations were in good agreement with clinical reports.Compared with conventional medical instruments,our sensor device provides rapid and highly sensitive detection of lung and heart sounds,which greatly helps in the evaluation of lung and heart states of pneumonia patients.This sensor provides a cost-effective alternative approach to the diagnosis and prognosis of pneumonia and has the potential for clinical and home-use health monitoring.Hongbin Chen Shuai Yu Haiyang Liu Jie Liu Yongguang Mlao Dandan Wu Xiaoyu Pan Cuihong Zhou Yifeng Lei Sheng Liu 2021Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,4:0
9Differential expression analysis of matrix metallo-proteinase 20(MMP20) in human esophageal cancer显示文摘The aim of this study was to investigate the different expressions of MMP20 in the process of esophageal cancer. RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry and Western blot were employed to detect the mRNA expression and protein expression of MMP20. Compared with the corresponding normal esophagus tissues, results showed the common trend of the dramatical overexpression of MMP20 in the esophageal cancer tissues. The analysis of MMP20 expression in different clinical early stages of esophageal cancer by RT-PCR indicated that MMP20 was much more overexpressed in the esophageal cancer with invasion than in the early stages. This suggested that MMP20 might play an important role in the progression of esophageal cancer. 10Dithienylethene metallodendrimers with high photochromic efficiency显示文摘It has been challenging to achieve multi-photochromic systems without affecting the individual photoswitching properties of the constituent units. Herein, we present the design and synthesis of a new family of platinum-acetylide dendrimers containing up to twenty-one photochromic dithienylethene(DTE)units that exhibit both high photochromic efficiency and individual switching properties. Upon irradiation with ultraviolet(UV) and visible(vis) light, the resultant metallodendrimers display high conversion yield and good fatigue resistance.
