Effects of ambient air pollution on allergic rhinitis among preschool children in Changsha, China显示文摘Prevalence of allergic rhinitis has rapidly increased among Chinese children, but the reasons are unclear.Recent findings have suggested that exposure to outdoor air pollutants may increase the risk of allergic rhinitis, but the results were inconsistent. This study further investigated the effect of outdoor air pollutants on allergic rhinitis among preschool children.A standardized questionnaire on health, home and environmental factors was conducted for 4988 children aged 1–8 in the city of Changsha, and the concentrations of PM10(particle diameter 10 m),sulfur dioxide(SO2)and nitrogen dioxide(NO2)during 2006–2011 were acquired from the official web of Changsha Environmental Protection Agency. Results showed that the prevalence of children’s doctor diagnosed rhinitis was 8.4%(95%confidence interval[CI]7.0%–10.0%).It was found that the prevalence of rhinitis was not associated with site-specific background concentrations of air pollutants, but significantly positively correlated with age-related accumulative personal exposure of PM10,SO2and NO2.We conclude that age-related accumulative personal exposure to ambient air pollution may play an important role in the development of rhinitis. | LU Chan DENG QiHong OU CuiYun LIU WeiWei SUNDELL Jan | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,34: | 7
Genome evolution trend of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) as revealed by the analysis of microsatellite loci in a gynogentic family显示文摘Genome evolution arises from two main ways of duplication and reduction. Fish specific genome duplication (FSGD) may have occurred before the radiation of the teleosts. Common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) has been considered to be a tetraploid species, because of its chromosome numbers (2n=100) and its high DNA content. Using 69 microsatellite primer pairs, the variations were studied to better understand the genome evolution (genome duplication and diploidization) of common carp from a gynogenetic family. About 48% of primer pairs were estimated to amplify duplicates based on the number of PCR amplification per individual. Segregation patterns in the family suggested a partially duplicated genome structure and disomic inheritance. This indicates that the common carp is tetraploid and polyploidy occurred by allotetraploidy. Two primer pairs (HLJ021 and HLJ332) were estimated to amplify reduction based on the number of PCR amplification per individual. One allele in HLJ002 locus and HLJ332 locus was clearly lost in the gynogenetic family and the same as in six wild populations. Segregation patterns in the family suggested a partially diplodization genome structure. A hypothesis transition (dynamic) and equilibrium (static) were proposed to explain the common carp genome evolution between genome duplication and diploidization. | Yah Zhang Liqun Liang Peng Jiang Dayu Li Cuiyun Lu Xiaowen Sun | 2008 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2008,35,2: | 7
A consensus linkage map of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) to compare the distribution and variation of QTLs associated with growth traits显示文摘The ability to detect and identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) in a single population is often limited. Analyzing multiple populations in QTL analysis improves the power of detecting QTLs and provides a better understanding of their functional allelic variation and distribution. In this study, a consensus map of the common carp was constructed, based on four populations, to compare the distribution and variation of QTLs. The consensus map spans 2371.6 cM across the 42 linkage groups and comprises 257 microsatellites and 421 SNPs, with a mean marker interval of 3.7 cM/marker. Sixty-seven QTLs affecting four growth traits from the four populations were mapped to the consensus map. Only one QTL was common to three populations, and nine QTLs were detected in two populations. However, no QTL was common to all four populations. The results of the QTL comparison suggest that the QTLs are responsible for the phenotypic variability observed for these traits in a broad array of common carp germplasms. The study also reveals the different genetic performances between major and minor genes in different populations. | ZHENG XianHu KUANG YouYi LV WeiHua CAO DingChen ZHANG XiaoFeng LI Chao LU CuiYun SUN XiaoWen | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,4: | 4

Transcriptome and weighted gene co-expression network analysis of jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)fruit reveal putative genes involved in proanthocyanin biosynthesis and regulation显示文摘Proanthocyanidin(PA)is an important bioactive compound with multiple physiological benefits in jujube(Ziziphus jujube Mill.).However,the molecular mechanisms underlying PA biosynthesis in jujube fruit have not been investigated. Here, the profiling of PA,(+)-catechin and(–)-epicatechin and transcriptome sequencing of three jujube cultivars from Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China at five developmental stages were analyzed. The levels of total PAs and catechin exhibited a decreased trend over jujube ripening, and epicatechin content of two jujube cultivars increased first and then declined.Transcriptome analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were mainly enriched in ribosome,glycolysis/gluconeogenesis,fructose and mannose metabolism.17 DEGs encoding PAL,CHS,CHI,CHS,F3'H,LAR,ANR,C4Hs,4CLs,FLSs,DFRs and UFGTs involved in PA biosynthesis were relatively abundant. The highly transcribed LAR gene may greatly contribute to epicatechin accumulation.A weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA)was performed, and a network module including 1620 genes highly correlated with content of Pas and catechin was established. We identified 58 genes including 9 structural genes and 49 regulatory genes related to PA biosynthesis and regulation in the WGCNA module.Sixteen genes encoding 9 families of transcriptional factors(i.e.,MYB,bHLH,ERF,bZIP,NAC,SBP,MIKC,HB,WRKY)were considered as hub genes. The results of qRT-PCR analysis validating 10 genes were well consistent with the transcriptome data. These findings provide valuable knowledge to facilitate its genetic studies and molecular breeding. | Wenqiang Wang Yunfeng Pu Hao Wen Dengyang Lu Min Yan Minzhe Liu Minyu Wu Hongjin Bai Lirong Shen Cuiyun Wu | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,5: | 1

Correction Factors of the Measurement Errors of the LAMOST-LRS Stellar Parameters显示文摘We aim to investigate the propriety of stellar parameter errors of the official data release of the LAMOST lowresolution spectroscopy(LRS)survey. We diagnose the errors of radial velocity(RV),atmospheric parameters([Fe/H],Teff,logg)andα-enhancement([α/M])for the latest data release version of DR7,including 6,079,235effective spectra of 4,546,803 stars.Based on the duplicate observational sample and comparing the deviation of multiple measurements to their given errors,we find that,in general, the error of[α/M]is largely underestimated, and the error of RV is slightly overestimated. We define a correction factor k to quantify these misestimations and correct the errors to be expressed as proper internal uncertainties.Using this self-calibration technique,we find that the k-factors significantly vary with the stellar spectral types and the spectral signal-to-noise ratio(S/N).Particularly,we reveal a strange but evident trend between k-factors and error themselves for all five stellar parameters.Larger errors tend to have smaller k-factor values,i.e.,they were more overestimated. After the correction,we recreate and quantify the tight correlations between S/N and errors, for all five parameters, while these correlations have dependence on spectral types. It also suggests that the parameter errors from each spectrum should be corrected individually. Finally,we provide the error correction factors of each derived parameter of each spectrum for the entire LAMOST-LRS DR7 and plan to update them for the later data releases. | Shuhui Zhang Guozhen Hu Rongrong Liu Cuiyun Pan Lu Li Zhengyi Shao | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,1: | 0
