| 1 | Approaches to establish Q-markers for the quality standards of traditional Chinese medicines显示文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has played a pivotal role in maintaining the health of Chinese people and is now gaining increasing acceptance around the global scope. However, TCM is confronting more and more concerns with respect to its quality. The intrinsic 'multicomponent and multitarget' feature of TCM necessitates the establishment of a unique quality and bioactivity evaluation system, which is different from that of the Western medicine. However, TCM is investigated essentially as'herbal medicine' or 'natural product', and the pharmacopoeia quality monographs are actually chemicalmarkers-based, which can ensure the consistency only in the assigned chemical markers, but, to some extent, have deviated from the basic TCM theory. A concept of 'quality marker'(Q-marker), following the 'property-effect-component' theory, is proposed. The establishment of Q-marker integrates multidisciplinary technologies like natural products chemistry, analytical chemistry, bionics, chemometrics,pharmacology, systems biology, and pharmacodynamics, etc. Q-marker-based fingerprint and multicomponent determination conduce to the construction of more scientific quality control system of TCM.This review delineates the background, definition, and properties of Q-marker, and the associated technologies applied for its establishment. | 3 | Offline two-dimensional liquid chromatography coupled with ion mobility-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry enabling fourdimensional separation and characterization of the multicomponents from white ginseng and red ginseng显示文摘Inherent complexity of plant metabolites necessitates the use of multi-dimensional information to accomplish comprehensive profiling and confirmative identification.A dimension-enhanced strategy,by offline two-dimensional liquid chromatography/ion mobility-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(2 D-LC/IM-QTOF-MS)enabling four-dimensional separations(2 D-LC,IM,and MS),is proposed.In combination with in-house database-driven automated peak annotation,this strategy was utilized to characterize ginsenosides simultaneously from white ginseng(WG)and red ginseng(RG).An offline 2 DLC system configuring an Xbridge Amide column and an HSS T3 column showed orthogonality 0.76 in the resolution of ginsenosides.Ginsenoside analysis was performed by data-independent high-definition MSE(HDMSE)in the negative ESI mode on a Vion?IMS-QTOF hybrid high-resolution mass spectrometer,which could better resolve ginsenosides than MSEand directly give the CCS information.An in-house ginsenoside database recording 504 known ginsenosides and 58 reference compounds,was established to assist the identification of ginsenosides.Streamlined workflows,by applying UNIFI?to automatedly annotate the HDMSEdata,were proposed.We could separate and characterize 323 ginsenosides(including 286 from WG and 306 from RG),and 125 thereof may have not been isolated from the Panax genus.The established 2 D-LC/IM-QTOF-HDMSEapproach could also act as a magnifier to probe differentiated components between WG and RG.Compared with conventional approaches,this dimensionenhanced strategy could better resolve coeluting herbal components and more efficiently,more reliably identify the multicomponents,which,we believe,offers more possibilities for the systematic exposure and confirmative identification of plant metabolites. | Tiantian Zuo Chunxia Zhang Weiwei Li Hongda Wang Ying Hu Wenzhi Yang Li Jia Xiaoyan Wang Xiumei Gao Dean Guo | 2020 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,6: | 9 |
| 4 | Status and development of high-power laser facilities at the NLHPLP显示文摘In this paper, we review the status of the multifunctional experimental platform at the National Laboratory of High Power Laser and Physics(NLHPLP). The platform, including the SG-II laser facility, SG-II 9th beam, SG-II upgrade(SG-II UP) facility, and SG-II 5 PW facility, is operational and available for interested scientists studying inertial confinement fusion(ICF) and a broad range of high-energy-density physics. These facilities can provide important experimental capabilities by combining different pulse widths of nanosecond, picosecond, and femtosecond scales. In addition, the SG-II UP facility, consisting of a single petawatt system and an eight-beam nanosecond system, is introduced including several laser technologies that have been developed to ensure the performance of the facility. | 7 | Deep reinforcement with spectrum series learning control for a mode-locked fiber laser显示文摘A spectrum series learning-based model is presented for mode-locked fiber laser state searching and switching.The mode-locked operation search policy is obtained by our proposed algorithm that combines deep reinforcement learning and long short-term memory networks.Numerical simulations show that the dynamic features of the laser cavity can be obtained from spectrum series.Compared with the traditional evolutionary search algorithm that only uses the current state,this model greatly improves the efficiency of the mode-locked search.The switch of the mode-locked state is realized by a predictive neural network that controls the pump power.In the experiments,the proposed algorithm uses an average of only 690 ms to obtain a stable mode-locked state,which is one order of magnitude less than that of the traditional method.The maximum number of search steps in the algorithm is 47 in the 16°C–30°C temperature environment.The pump power prediction error is less than 2 mW,which ensures precise laser locking on multiple operating states.This proposed technique paves the way for a variety of optical systems that require fast and robust control. | ZHAN LI SHUAISHUAI YANG QI XIAO TIANYU ZHANG YONG LI LU HAN DEAN LIU XIAOPING OUYANG JIANQIANG ZHU | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,6: | 2 |
| 8 | Shape demagnetization effect on layered magnetoelectric composites显示文摘Magnetoelectric (ME) voltage coefficient of plate layered magnetostrictive-piezoelectric composites was always considered independent of the in-plane size due to the oversimplification in ME theoretical models. Here we report that the ME voltage coefficient depends on the in-plane size owing to shape demagnetization effect on magnetostriction. Both theoretical analysis and experimental results indicate that ME voltage coefficient of layered ME composites changes with the variation in in-plane sizes (length and width). ME coefficient increases with a rise in in-plane sizes, and different aspect ratio also results in different ME coefficients.
