1Prediction of casing wear in extended-reach drilling显示文摘Intermediate casings in the build sections are subject to severe wear in extended-reach drilling. This paper presents a new method for predicting the depth of a wear groove on the intermediate casing. According to energy principle and dynamic accumulation of casing wear by tool joints, a model is established to calculate the wear area on the inner wall of the casing. The relationship functions between the wear groove depth and area are obtained based on the geometry relationship between the drillstring and the wear section and the assumption that the casing wear groove is crescent-shaped. The change of casing wear groove depth versus drilling footage under different-sized drillstrings is also discussed. A mechanical model is proposed for predicting casing wear location, which is based on the well trajectory and drillstring movement. The casing wear groove depth of a planned well is predicted with inversion of the casing wear factor from the drilled well and necessarily revised to improve the prediction accuracy for differences between the drilled well and the planned well. The method for predicting casing wear in extended-reach drilling is verified through actual case study. 2A Review on Rill Erosion Process and Its Influencing Factors显示文摘Rills are frequently observed on slope farmlands and rill erosion significantly contributes to sediment yields. This paper focuses on reviewing the various factors affecting rill erosion processes and the threshold conditions of rill initiation. Six factors, including rainfall, runoff, soil, topography, vegetation and tillage system, are discussed. Rill initiation and network are explored. Runoff erosivity and soil erodibility are recognized as two direct factors affecting rill erosion and other types of factors may have indirect influences on rill erosion through increasing or decreasing the effects of the direct factors. Certain conditions are necessary for rill initiation and the critical conditions are different with different factors. 3Seed dormancy and germination characteristics of two Rheum species in the Himalaya-Hengduan Mountains显示文摘Seed dormancy and germination characteristics are important factors determining plant reproductive success, and may be expected to have a major influence on plant distribution. In this study, we aimed to explore the characteristics of seed dormancy and germination in two endemic Rheum species(Rheum nobile and Rheum alexandrae) in the Himalaya-Hengduan Mountains. To determine the type of dormancy,fresh seeds of the two species(one population each) were incubated in light at 25/15 and 15/5℃, and then dry after-ripening(DAR) seeds were incubated on water agar substrate with or without GA_3. To determine the effect of temperature and light on germination, DAR seeds of the two species(two populations each) were incubated both in the light and in the dark at several temperatures, including constant and alternating temperatures. Base temperature(T_b) and thermal times for 50% germination(θ_(50)) were calculated. DAR released physiological dormancy(PD), increasing final germination at 15/5℃ and widening the range of germination temperatures from higher to lower, indicative of type 2 non-deep PD for the two Rheum species. Light had no significant effect on germination of seeds from the two species(two populations each). Seeds of the two species germinated significantly better(>80%) at medium temperatures(10-25℃) than at extreme low(5℃) or high(35℃) temperatures. Alternating temperatures(25/15 and 15/5℃) did not significantly increase the final germination of the two species either in the light and in the dark, but it promoted seed germination more quickly than corresponding constant temperatures in the light in both Rh. alexandrae populations, especially at 15/5℃. Germination in response to temperature was well described by the thermal-time model at suboptimal temperatures. The estimated Tbvalues were 1 and 0.9℃, respectively, in two Rh. nobile populations; 4 and 4.1℃,respectively, in two Rh. alexandrae populations; θ_(50)(thermal time) were 100 and 125℃d, respectively in two Rh. nobile populations; 76.92 and 83.33℃d, respectively in two Rh. alexandrae populations. The dormancy type, and germination responses to temperature and light condition does not explain why the two Rheum species are distributed in contrasting habitats. 4Function of male and hermaphroditic flowers and size-dependent gender diphasy of Lloydia oxycarpa (Liliaceae) from Hengduan Mountains显示文摘Although hermaphroditism is common in flowering plants, unisexual flowers occur in many plant taxa,forming various sexual systems. However, the sexual system of some plants is difficult to determine morphologically, given that their sex expression may be influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. Specifically, androdioecy(the coexistence of both male and hermaphroditic individuals in the same population) has often been confused with the gender diphasy, a gender strategy in which plants change their sex expression between seasons. We studied the reproductive function of male and hermaphroditic flowers of Lloydia oxycarpa(Liliaceae), in order to investigate its sexual system and determine whether it is a gender-diphasic species. We found that although male flowers occur in a considerable number of plants, relative to hermaphrodites, they did not exhibit any significant reproductive advantage in terms of flower size, pollen quantity, attractiveness to visitors or siring success. In addition, this plant has spontaneous self-pollination and showed no inbreeding depression. These results render the maintenance of male individuals almost impossible. Furthermore, a considerable number of individuals changed their sex in successive years. The sex expression was found to be related to bulb size and dry weight, with larger individuals producing hermaphroditic flowers and smaller individuals producing male flowers. 5Approaches to High-grade Sintered Magnesia from Natural Magnesite显示文摘It is hard to manufacture high purity,dense sintered-magnesia from natural magnesite in the prevailing process of calcining and sintering,for two reasons:a)impurity,and b)low sintering activity of coarse-grained magnesite.In this paper,95%MgO magnesite was used as the starting material and finally magnesia of high density(3.47 g/cm^3)and high purity(98%MgO)was obtained after the flotation purification and a three-step sintering process.An industrial scale of the beneficiation system of natural magnesite was introduced for magnesite purification.In lab experimental,the three-step sintering process was implemented by calcining,hydrating,re-calcining and sintering,which has proven the possibility of densified magnesia from natural magnesite.GUO Zongqi BI Deli MA Ying SUN Zhenlin 2020China's Refractories2020,29,3:3
6DMH1(4-[6-(4-isopropoxyphenyl)pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-3-yl]quinoline) inhibits chemotherapeutic drug-induced autophagy显示文摘Our previous work found that DMH1(4-[6-(4-isopropoxyphenyl)pyrazolo [1,5-a]pyrimidin-3-yl]quinoline) was a novel autophagy inhibitor. Here, we aimed to investigate the effects of DMH1 on chemotherapeutic drug-induced autophagy as well as the efficacy of chemotherapeutic drugs in different cancer cells. We found that DMH1 inhibited tamoxifen- and cispcis-diaminedichloroplatinum(II)(CDDP)-induced autophagy responses in MCF-7 and HeLa cells, and potentiated the anti-tumor activity of tamoxifen and CDDP for both cells. DMH1 inhibited 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)-induced autophagy responses in MCF-7 and HeLa cells, but did not affect the anti-tumor activity of 5-FU for these two cell lines. DMH1 itself did not induce cell death in MCF-7 and HeLa cells, but inhibited the proliferation of these cells. 7A numerical method for determining the stuck point in extended reach drilling显示文摘A stuck drill string results in a major non-productive cost in extended reach drilling engineering.The first step is to determine the depth at which the sticking has occurred.Methods of measurement have been proved useful for determining the stuck points,but these operations take considerable time.As a result of the limitation with the current operational practices,calculation methods are still preferred to estimate the stuck point depth.Current analytical methods do not consider friction and are only valid for vertical rather than extended reach wells.The numerical method is established to take full account of down hole friction,tool joint,upset end of drill pipe,combination drill strings and tubular materials so that it is valid to determine the stuck point in extended reach wells.The pull test,torsion test and combined test of rotation and pulling can be used to determine the stuck point.The results show that down hole friction,tool joint,upset end of drill pipe,tubular sizes and materials have significant effects on the pull length and/or the twist angle of the stuck drill string.Sun Lianzhong Gao Deli 2011Petroleum Science2011,8,3:2

11Research on multiple elimination methods in inverse data space based on randomized singular value decomposition显示文摘Based on surfaced-related multiple elimination( SRME),this research has derived the methods on multiples elimination in the inverse data space.Inverse data processing means moving seismic data from forward data space( FDS) to inverse data space( IDS).The surface-related multiples and primaries can then be separated in the IDS,since surface-related multiples will form a focus region in the IDS.Muting the multiples energy can achieve the purpose of multiples elimination and avoid the damage to primaries energy during the process of adaptive subtraction.Randomized singular value decomposition( RSVD) is used to enhance calculation speed and improve the accuracy in the conversion of FDS to IDS.The synthetic shot record of the salt dome model shows that the relationship between primaries and multiples is simple and clear,and RSVD can easily eliminate multiples and save primaries energy.Compared with conventional multiples elimination methods and ordinary methods of multiples elimination in the inverse data space,this technique has an advantage of high calculation speed and reliable outcomes.WANG Tiexing WANG Deli HU Bin SUN Jing SU Xiaobo 2017Global Geology2017,20,1:1

13Relative contributions of biotic and abiotic factors to the spatial variation of litter stock in a mature subtropical forest显示文摘Aims Dead plant material(i.e.litter)is the major source of soil organic matter and thus plays a fundamental role in regulating soil carbon cycling in global forest ecosystems.The storage of litter is jointly determined by its production from plants and decomposition in a given environment.However,only few studies have explored the relative importance of en-vironmental(i.e.abiotic)and plant(i.e.biotic)factors in driving the spa-tial variation of litter mass.The objective of this study is to quantify the relative contributions of biotic and abiotic factors in affecting the spatial variation of aboveground litter stock in a mature subtropical forest.Methods The aboveground litter mass was sampled in 187 grids of a 20-hm forest dynamics plot in a subtropical broad-leave forest in eastern China.The contributions of environmental variables,topographical and species variables on litter stocks were quantified by the boosted regression tree analysis.Important Findings The mean aboveground litter stock was 367.5 g m^(−2) in the Tiantong dynamics forest plot across all the 187 grids.The litter stock ranged from 109.2 to 831.3 g m^(−2) and showed a large spatial variation with the coefficient of variance as 40.8%.The boosted regression tree analysis showed that slope elevation and soil moisture were the most influential variables on the spatial variation of litter stock.The relatively influence of abiotic factors(environmental and topographical factors)was 71.4%,which is larger than biotic factors(28.6%).Overall,these findings sug-gest that abiotic factors play a more important role than plants in driving the spatial variation of aboveground litter stock in the subtropical forest.Given that the global carbon-cycle models have been aiming to refine from the hundred kilometers to sub-kilometer scale,this study highlights the urgency of a better understanding of the spatial variation of litter stock on the fine scale.Jing Wang Qingsong Yang Yang Qiao Deli Zhai Lifen Jiang Guopeng Liang Xiaoying Sun Ning Wei Xihua Wang Jianyang Xia 2019Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,4:1

17Dynamic modelling and engineering simulation of fluid mechanics in water injectors显示文摘To study the fluid dynamic response mechanism under the working condition of water injection well borehole,based on the microelement analysis of fluid mechanics and the classical theory of hydrodynamics,a fluid microelement pressure-flow rate relationship model is built to derive and solve the dynamic distribution of fluid pressure and flow rate in the space of well borehole.Combined with the production data of a typical deviated well in China,numerical simulations and analyses are carried out to analyze the dynamic distribution of wellbore pressure at different injection pressures and injection volumes,the delayed and attenuated characteristics of fluid transmission in tube,and the dynamic distribution of wellbore pressure amplitude under the fluctuation of wellhead pressure.The pressure loss along the wellbore has nothing to do with the absolute pressure,and the design of the coding and decoding scheme for wave code communication doesn’t need to consider the absolute pressure during injecting.When the injection pressure is constant,the higher the injection flow rate at the wellhead,the larger the pressure loss along the wellbore.The fluid wave signal delay amplitude mainly depends on the length of the wellbore.The smaller the tubing diameter,the larger the fluid wave signal attenuation amplitude.The higher the target wave code amplitude(differential pressure identification root mean square)generated at the same well depth,the greater the wellhead pressure wave amplitude required to overcome the wellbore pressure loss.JIA Deli WEN Haoyang SUN Fuchao WANG Quanbin YANG Qinghai FU Tao 2023Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,5:0
18River width and depth as key factors of diurnal activity energy expenditure allocation for wintering Spot-billed Ducks in the Xin'an River Basin显示文摘Rivers are important habitats for wintering waterbirds.However,they are easily influenced by natural and human activities.An important approach for waterbirds to adapt to habitats is adjusting the activity time and energy expenditure allocation of diurnal behavior.The compensatory foraging hypothesis predicts that increased energy expenditure leads to longer foraging time,which in turn increases food intake and helps maintain a constant energy balance.However,it is unclear whether human-disturbed habitats result in increased energy expenditure related to safety or foraging.In this study,the scan sample method was used to observe the diurnal behavior of the wintering Spot-billed Duck(Anas poecilorhyncha) in two rivers in the Xin’an River Basin from October 2021 to March 2022.The allocation of time and energy expenditure for activity in both normal and disturbed environments was calculated.The results showed that foraging accounted for the highest percentage of time and energy expenditure.Additionally,foraging decreased in the disturbed environment than that in the normal environment.Resting behavior showed the opposite trend,while other behaviors were similar in both environments.The total diurnal energy expenditure of ducks in the disturbed environment was greater than that in the normal environment,with decreased foraging and resting time percentage and increased behaviors related to immediate safety(swimming and alert) and comfort.These results oppose the compensatory foraging hypothesis in favor of increased security.The optimal diurnal energy expenditure model included river width and water depth,which had a positive relationship;an increase in either of these two factors resulted in an increase in energy expenditure.This study provides a better understanding of energy allocation strategies underlying the superficial time allocation of wintering waterbirds according to environmental conditions.Exploring these changes can help understand the maximum fitness of wintering waterbirds in response to nature and human influences.Chao Yu Xuying Lu Deli Sun Mengnan Chu Xueyun Li Qun Li 2024Avian Research2024,15,1:0
19Anthelmintics nitazoxanide protects against experimental hyperlipidemia and hepatic steatosis in hamsters and mice显示文摘Lipid metabolism disorders contribute to hyperlipidemia and hepatic steatosis.It is ideal to develop drugs simultaneous improving both hyperlipidemia and hepatic steatosis.Nitazoxanide is an FDA-approved oral antiprotozoal drug with excellent pharmacokinetic and safety profile.We found that nitazoxanide and its metabolite tizoxanide induced mild mitochondrial uncoupling and subsequently activated AMPK in Hep G2 cells.Gavage administration of nitazoxanide inhibited high-fat diet(HFD)-induced increases of liver weight,blood and liver lipids,and ameliorated HFD-induced renal lipid accumulation in hamsters.Nitazoxanide significantly improved HFD-induced histopathologic changes of hamster livers.In the hamsters with pre-existing hyperlipidemia and hepatic steatosis,nitazoxanide also showed therapeutic effect.Gavage administration of nitazoxanide improved HFD-induced hepatic steatosis in C57BL/6J mice and western diet(WD)-induced hepatic steatosis in Apoe-/-mice.The present study suggests that repurposing nitazoxanide as a drug for hyperlipidemia and hepatic steatosis treatment is promising.Fengfeng Li Man Jiang Minghui Ma Xuyang Chen Yidan Zhang Yixin Zhang Yuanyuan Yu Yunfeng Cui Jiahui Chen Hui Zhao Zhijie Sun Deli Dong 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3:0
20Formation mechanisms of Ti_(3)(Si,Al)C_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3) composites from Ti_(3)AlC_(2) and SiO via low-temperature sintering显示文摘Ti_(3)SiC_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3) composites have attracted attention due to their excellent mechanical and electromagnetic properties,but the high temperatures(≥1400℃)required for the densification of aluminum oxide(Al_(2)O_(3))leads to the decomposition of Ti_(3)SiC_(2).To address this issue,Ti_(3)(Si_(x)Al_(1−x))C2/Al_(2)O_(3)(x represents the Si content)composites were synthesized for the first time via hot-pressing(HP)sintering and current-assisted sintering(CAS)of mixed Ti_(3)AlC_(2) and silicon monoxide(SiO)powders at 1300 and 1200℃,respectively.Both approaches produced composites with x values greater than 0.9,indicating that the compositions of the prepared composites were similar to those of Ti_(3)SiC_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3) composites.The synthetic mechanism involved substitution and continuous interdiffusion of Al and Si atoms.The composite prepared by CAS at 1200℃ was compacted,whereas the composite prepared by HP had a low density.The low-temperature densification mechanism is attributed to the combined effects of amorphous SiO,liquid Al,and the high heating rates for CAS.The flexural strength and hardness of the composite prepared by CAS were also comparable to those of compacted Ti_(3)SiC_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3) composites.Zhenyu ZHANG Jun JI Yingying CHEN Deli MA Sique CHEN Hailing YANG Guopu SHI Zhi WANG Mengyong SUN Fei CHEN Shifeng HUANG Qinggang LI 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,1:0
