1Enhanced secondary pollution offset reduction of primary emissions during COVID-19 lockdown in China显示文摘To control the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus(COVID-19),China imposed nationwide restrictions on the movement of its population(lockdown)after the Chinese New Year of 2020,leading to large reductions in economic activities and associated emissions.Despite such large decreases in primary pollution,there were nonetheless several periods of heavy haze pollution in eastern China,raising questions about the well-established relationship between human activities and air quality.Here,using comprehensive measurements and modeling,we show that the haze during the COVID lockdown was driven by enhancements of secondary pollution.In particular,large decreases in NOx emissions from transportation increased ozone and nighttime NO_(3)radical formation,and these increases in atmospheric oxidizing capacity in turn facilitated the formation of secondary particulate matter.Our results,afforded by the tragic natural experiment of the COVID-19 pandemic,indicate that haze mitigation depends upon a coordinated and balanced strategy for controlling multiple pollutants.Xin Huang Aijun Ding Jian Gao Bo Zheng Derong Zhou Ximeng Qi Rong Tang Jiaping Wang Chuanhua Ren Wei Nie Xuguang Chi Zheng Xu Liangduo Chen Yuanyuan Li Fei Che Nini Pang Haikun Wang Dan Tong Wei Qin Wei Cheng Weijing Liu Qingyan Fu Baoxian Liu Fahe Chai Steven JDavis Qiang Zhang Kebin He 2021National Science Review2021,8,2:47
2Residential Energy Scheduling for Variable Weather Solar Energy Based on Adaptive Dynamic Programming显示文摘The residential energy scheduling of solar energy is an important research area of smart grid. On the demand side, factors such as household loads, storage batteries, the outside public utility grid and renewable energy resources, are combined together as a nonlinear, time-varying, indefinite and complex system, which is difficult to manage or optimize. Many nations have already applied the residential real-time pricing to balance the burden on their grid. In order to enhance electricity efficiency of the residential micro grid, this paper presents an action dependent heuristic dynamic programming(ADHDP) method to solve the residential energy scheduling problem. The highlights of this paper are listed below. First,the weather-type classification is adopted to establish three types of programming models based on the features of the solar energy. In addition, the priorities of different energy resources are set to reduce the loss of electrical energy transmissions.Second, three ADHDP-based neural networks, which can update themselves during applications, are designed to manage the flows of electricity. Third, simulation results show that the proposed scheduling method has effectively reduced the total electricity cost and improved load balancing process. 3Optimal Constrained Self-learning Battery Sequential Management in Microgrid Via Adaptive Dynamic Programming显示文摘This paper concerns a novel optimal self-learning battery sequential control scheme for smart home energy systems.The main idea is to use the adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) technique to obtain the optimal battery sequential control iteratively. First, the battery energy management system model is established, where the power efficiency of the battery is considered. Next, considering the power constraints of the battery, a new non-quadratic form performance index function is established, which guarantees that the value of the iterative control law cannot exceed the maximum charging/discharging power of the battery to extend the service life of the battery.Then, the convergence properties of the iterative ADP algorithm are analyzed, which guarantees that the iterative value function and the iterative control law both reach the optimums. 4A novel policy iteration based deterministic Q-learning for discrete-time nonlinear systems显示文摘In this paper, a novel iterative Q-learning algorithm, called 'policy iteration based deterministic Qlearning algorithm', is developed to solve the optimal control problems for discrete-time deterministic nonlinear systems. The idea is to use an iterative adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) technique to construct the iterative control law which optimizes the iterative Q function. When the optimal Q function is obtained, the optimal control law can be achieved by directly minimizing the optimal Q function, where the mathematical model of the system is not necessary. Convergence property is analyzed to show that the iterative Q function is monotonically non-increasing and converges to the solution of the optimality equation. It is also proven that any of the iterative control laws is a stable control law. Neural networks are employed to implement the policy iteration based deterministic Q-learning algorithm, by approximating the iterative Q function and the iterative control law, respectively. 5Development and characterization of synthetic amphiploids of Oryza sativa and Oryza latifolia显示文摘Oryza sativa and Oryza latifolia belong to the AA and CCDD genomes of Oryza, respectively. In this study, amphiploids were obtained from the tube seedlings of O. sativa 9 O. latifolia F1 hybrids by treatment with colchicine, an agent for chromosome doubling. Subsequently, amphiploids were investigated using the methods of morphology, genomic in situ hybridization, and molecular markers. Amphiploids were characterized by a shorter plant height, larger diameter of stem, longer and wider leaves, darker leaf color, decreased spikelets per panicle and panicle length, and larger spikelets and anthers than the original F1 hybrid. Based on the mitotic metaphase chromosome number of the investigated root tips, the somatic chromosome number of the amphiploid is 2n = 72.Additionally, the amphiploid is an allohexaploid, and its genomic constitution is AACCDD by genomic in situ hybridization analysis. 6Finite horizon optimal control of discrete-time nonlinear systems with unfixed initial state using adaptive dynamic programming显示文摘In this paper,we aim to solve the finite horizon optimal control problem for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems with unfixed initial state using adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) approach.A new-optimal control algorithm based on the iterative ADP approach is proposed which makes the performance index function converge iteratively to the greatest lower bound of all performance indices within an error according to within finite time.The optimal number of control steps can also be obtained by the proposed-optimal control algorithm for the situation where the initial state of the system is unfixed.Neural networks are used to approximate the performance index function and compute the optimal control policy,respectively,for facilitating the implementation of the-optimal control algorithm.Finally,a simulation example is given to show the results of the proposed method.Wei, Qinglai Liu, Derong 2011控制理论与应用(英文版)2011,9,3:2

12Extracting Result Schema Based on Query Instances in the Deep Web显示文摘Deep Web sources contain a large of high-quality and query-related structured date. One of the challenges in the Deep Web is extracting result schemas of Deep Web sources. To ad-dress this challenge,this paper describes a novel approach that extracts both result data and the result schema of a Web database. The approach first models the query interface of a Deep Web source and fills in it with a specifically query instance. Then the result pages of the Deep Web sources are formatted in the tree structure to retrieve subtrees that contain elements of the query instance. Next,result schema of the Deep Web source is extracted by matching the subtree' nodes with the query instance,in which,a two-phase schema extraction method is adopted for obtaining more accurate result schema. 17Genetic analysis of the seed dehydration process in maize based on a logistic model显示文摘Seed moisture at harvest is a critical trait affecting maize quality and mechanized production,and is directly determined by the dehydration process after physiological maturity.However,the dynamic nature of seed dehydration leads to inaccurate evaluation of the dehydration process by conventional determination methods.Seed dry weight and fresh weight were recorded at 14 time points after pollination in a recombinant inbred line(RIL)population derived from two inbred lines with contrasting seed dehydration dynamics.The dehydration curves of RILs were determined by fitting trajectories of dry weight accumulation and dry weight/fresh weight ratio change based on a logistic model,allowing the estimation of eight characteristic parameters that can be used to describe dehydration features.Quantitative trait locus(QTL)mapping,taking these parameters as traits,was performed using multiple methods.Single-trait QTL mapping revealed 76 QTL associated with dehydration characteristic parameters,of which the phenotypic variation explained(PVE)was 1.03%to 15.24%.Multipleenvironment QTL analysis revealed 21 related QTL with PVE ranging from 4.23%to 11.83%.Multiple-trait QTL analysis revealed 58 QTL,including 51 pleiotropic QTL.Combining these mapping results revealed 12 co-located QTL and the dehydration process of RILs was divided into three patterns with clear differences in dehydration features.These results not only deepen general understanding of the genetic characteristics of seed dehydration but also suggest that this approach can efficiently identify associated genetic loci in maize.Shuangyi Yin Jun Liu Tiantian Yang Pengcheng Li Yang Xu Huimin Fang Shuhui Xu Jie Wei Lin Xue Derong Hao Zefeng Yang Chenwu Xu 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,2:0
