Evaluating the reliability of microsatellite genotyping from low-quality DNA templates with a polynomial distribution model显示文摘Molecular studies using trace DNA, such as from museum specimens, ancient or forensic samples and samples obtained noninvasively, often have a common problem of low quality of DNA templates. Amplification errors, such as allelic dropout and false allele, may arise during polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using such samples. A mathematical model which treats homozygotes and heterozygotes discriminately has been developed to measure sample quality and compute the confidence level of using multipletube approaches. We use plucked hair samples collected from 26 individual Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys (Rhinopithecus roxel- lana) to test the model. In this case, a confidence level of 99% can be achieved by three positive PCRs. If the sample quality is very poor and requires many PCR replicates, an alternative multiplestep genotyping method is recommended. This model enables researchers to optimize experimental protocols through pilot studies and obtain reliable genetic information using noninvasive sampling method. | HE Gangi HUANG Kang GUO SongTao JI WeiHong QI XiaoGuang REN Yi JIN XueLin LI BaoGuo | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,24: | 8
Emerging role of natural products in cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer immunotherapy has become a new generation of anti-tumor treatment, but its indications still focus on several types of tumors that are sensitive to the immune system. Therefore, effective strategies that can expand its indications and enhance its efficiency become the key element for the further development of cancer immunotherapy.Natural products are reported to have this effect on cancer immunotherapy, including cancer vaccines,immune-check points inhibitors, and adoptive immune-cells therapy. And the mechanism of that is mainly attributed to the remodeling of the tumorimmunosuppressive microenvironment, which is the key factor that assists tumor to avoid the recognition and attack from immune system and cancer immunotherapy. Therefore, this review summarizes and concludes the natural products that reportedly improve cancer immunotherapy and investigates the mechanism. And we found that saponins, polysaccharides, and flavonoids are mainly three categories of natural products, which reflected significant effects combined with cancer immunotherapy through reversing the tumor-immunosuppressive microenvironment.Besides, this review also collected the studies about nano-technology used to improve the disadvantages of natural products. All of these studies showed the great potential of natural products in cancer immunotherapy. | Songtao Dong Xiangnan Guo Fei Han Zhonggui He Yongjun Wang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3: | 5
Dominance rank of adult females and mating competition in Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys(Rhinopithecus roxellana)in the Qinling Mountains,China显示文摘Dominance hierarchy reflects resource competition in male primates as well as females. In this study,we collected data on the social rank and mating competition of female Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys from September 2009 to June 2010 in the Qinling Mountains,Shaanxi,China.Displacement was used to determine social hierarchy of the studied wild females.A total of 1223 displacement bouts between adult females and 316 mating behaviors within one-male units(OMUs) were recorded.Competitive displacement among females was very low(0.22 displacements per observation hour). The dominant ranks of females in target OMUs were determined by displacement, from one OMU to another:JB unit:YL > DBC > YCM >XBC > BD;JZT unit:XHW > JG > DT;PK unit:QQ > TM > HF;LP unit:SK > TH > WM.Higher-ranking females performed significantly more sexual behavior than lower-ranking females in this rare monkey.High-ranking females were more likely to win mating contests within those OMUs.Based on these studies,we assessed the social relationships among adult females and clarified possible explanations for the strategies of female mating competition in the OMUs.Furthermore, the notion that reproductive success may also be related to female dominance hierarchies in this polygynous species should be considered in future research. | HE HaiXia ZHAO HaiTao QI XiaoGuang WANG XiaoWei GUO SongTao JI WeiHong WANG ChengLiang WEI Wei LI BaoGuo | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,17: | 5

Using unmanned aerial vehicles with thermal-image acquisition cameras for animal surveys:a case study on the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey in the Qinling Mountains显示文摘Following significant developments in technology, alternative devices have been applied in fieldwork for animal and plant surveys.Thermal-image acquisition cameras installed on unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have been used in animal surveys in the wilderness. This article demonstrates an example of how UAVs can be used in high mountainous regions, presenting a case study on the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey with a detection rate of 65.19%for positive individual identification. It also presents a model that can prospectively predict population size for a given animal species, which is based on combined initial work using UAVs and traditional surveys on the ground.A great potential advantage of UAVs is significantly shortening survey procedures, particularly for areas with high mountains and plateaus, such as the Himalayas, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,Hengduan Mountains, the Yunnan-Gui Plateau and Qinling Mountains in China, where carrying out a traditional survey is extremely difficult,so that species and population surveys, particularly for critically endangered animals, are largely absent. This lack of data has impacted the management of endangered animals as well as the formulation and amendment of conservation strategies. | Gang HE Haitao YANG Ruliang PAN Yewen SUN Pengbin ZHENG Jinghua WANG Xuelin JIN Jingjie ZHANG Baoguo LI Songtao GUO | 2020 | Integrative Zoology2020,15,1: | 2
Geological and geochemical characteristics of the Baogudi Carlintype gold district(Southwest Guizhou, China) and their geological implications显示文摘The newly discovered Baogudi gold district is located in the southwestern Guizhou Province,China, where there are numerous Carlin-type gold deposits. To better understand the geological and geochemical characteristics of the Baogudi gold district,we carried out petrographic observations, elemental analyses, and fluid inclusion and isotopic composition studies. We also compared the results with those of typical Carlin-type gold deposits in southwestern Guizhou.Three mineralization stages, namely, the sedimentation diagenesis,hydrothermal(main-ore and late-ore substages),and supergene stages, were identified based on field and petrographic observations. The main-ore and late-ore stages correspond to Au and Sb mineralization, respectively, which are similar to typical Carlin-type mineralization. The mass transfer associated with alteration and mineralization shows that a significant amount of Au,As,Sb,Hg,Tl,Mo,and S were added to mineralized rocks during the main-ore stage.Remarkably, arsenic,Sb,and S were added to the mineralized rocks during the late-ore stage.Element migration indicates that the sulfidation process was responsible for ore formation.Four types of fluid inclusions were identified in ore-related quartz and fluorite. The main-ore stage fluids are characterized by an H2O–NaCl–CO2–CH4±N2system,with medium to low temperatures(180–260℃)and low salinity(0–9.08%NaCl equivalent). The late-ore stage fluids featured H2O–NaCl±CO2±CH4,with low temperature(120–200℃)and low salinity(0–7.48%Na Cl equivalent). The temperature, salinity, and CO2and CH4concentrations of ore-forming fluids decreased from the main-ore stage to the late-ore stage. The calculated δ^13C,d D,and δ^18O values of the ore-forming fluids range from-14.3 to-7.0%,-76 to-55.7%,and 4.5–15.0%,respectively.Late-ore-stage stibnite had δ^34S values ranging from-0.6 to 1.9%.These stable isotopic compositions indicate that the ore-forming fluids originated mainly from deep magmatic hydrothermal fluids, with minor contributions from strata.Collectively, the Baogudi metallogenic district has geological and geochemical characteristics that are typical of Carlin-type gold deposits in southwest Guizhou. It is likely that the Baogudi gold district, together with other Carlin-type gold deposits in southwestern Guizhou, was formed in response to a single widespread metallogenic event. | Songtao Li Yong Xia Jianzhong Liu Zhuojun Xie Qinping Tan Yimeng Zhao Minghua Meng Lijin Tan Rong Nie Zepeng Wang Guanghong Zhou Haiyan Guo | 2019 | Acta Geochimica2019,38,4: | 1
Boosting lithium batteries under harsh operating conditions by a resilient ionogel with liquid-like ionic conductivity显示文摘New chemistries are being developed to increase the capacity and power of rechargeable batteries. However, the risk of safety issues increases when high-energy batteries using highly active materials encounter harsh operating conditions. Here we report on the synthesis of a unique ionogel electrolyte for abuse-tolerant lithium batteries. A hierarchically architected silica/polymer scaffold is designed and fabricated through a facile soft chemistry route, which is competent to confine ionic liquids with superior uptake ability (92.4 wt%). The monolithic ionogel exhibits high conductivity and thermal/mechanical stability, featuring high-temperature elastic modulus and dendrite-free lithium cycling. The Li/LiFePO_(4) pouch cells achieve outstanding cyclability at different temperatures up to 150 ℃, and can sustain cutting, crumpling, and even coupled thermal–mechanical abuses. Moreover, the solid-state lithium batteries with LiNi_(0.60)Co_(0.20)Mn_(0.20)O_(2), LiNi_(0.80)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_(2), and Li_(1.2)Mn_(0.54)Ni_(0.13)Co_(0.13)O_(2) cathodes demonstrate excellent cycle performances at 60 ℃. These results indicate that the resilient and high-conductivity ionogel electrolyte is promising to realize high-performance lithium batteries with high energy density and safety. | Le Yu Qing Liu Libin Wang Songtao Guo Qiaomei Hu Yaqian Li Xiwei Lan Zhifang Liu Xianluo Hu | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,11: | 1

Lithium-ion insertion kinetics of Na-doped Li2TiSiO5 as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Li2TiSiO5 receives much interest recently in lithium-ion battery anodes because of its attractive Liinsertion/extraction potential at 0.28 V(vs. Li+/Li), which bridges the potential gap between graphite and Li4 Ti5 O12. However, Li2TiSiO5 suffers from the low intrinsic electronic conductivity and sluggish Liion transfer kinetics. In this work, we report lithium-ion insertion kinetics of Li2TiSiO5 by Na doping, achieving high-rate capability. Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction results reveals that Na doping can enlarge the space of Li slabs, thus reducing the Li-ion transfer barrier and enhancing the Li-ion diffusion kinetics. According to first-principles calculations, Na doping can tune the band structure of Li2TiSiO5 from indirect to direct band, leading to improved electronic conductivity and electrochemical performance. In particular, the Na-doped Li2TiSiO5(Li1.95 Na(0.05)TiSiO5) electrode exhibits outstanding rate capability with a high capacity of 101 m A h g^(-1) at 5 A g^(-1) and superior cyclability with a reversible capacity of 137 m A h g^(-1) under 0.5 A g^(-1) over 150 cycles. | Yueni Mei Yuyu Li Fuyun Li Yaqian Li Yingjun Jiang Xiwei Lan Songtao Guo Xianluo Hu | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,54,22: | 1

Pasteurella multocida capsular:lipopolysaccharide types D:L6 and A:L3 remain to be the main epidemic genotypes of pigs in China显示文摘Pasteurella multocida is a leading cause of respiratory disorders in pigs. This study was designed to understand the genotypical and antimicrobial resistant characteristics of P.multocida from pigs in China. To achieve this,we briefly investigated 158 P.multocida isolates from pigs with respiratory disorders in China between 2019 and 2020.Genotyping through multiplex PCR assays assigned these 158 isolates into capsular genotypes A(60.13%,95/158),D(35.44%,56/158),F(4.43%,7/158),and/or lipopolysaccharide(LPS)genotypes L3(28.48%,45/158)and L6(66.46%,105/158).In addition, eight isolates(5.06%,8/158)were found to be nontypable using the LPS genotyping method. When combining the capsular genotypes and the LPS genotypes,D:L6(34.81%,55/158)and A:L6(31.65%,50/158)were the predominant genotypes, followed by A:L3(24.05%,38/158).PCR detection of virulence factor-encoding genes showed that over 80%of the isolates were positive for exbB,tonB,exbD,ompH,ptfA,fimA,sodA,sodC,fur,ompA,oma87,plpB,hsf-2,nanH and hgbB,suggesting the presence of these genes were broad characteristics of P.multocida.We also found approximately 63.92%(101/158),51.27%(81/158),8.86%(14/158),7.59%(12/158),3.16%(5/158),0.63%(1/158),and 0.63%(1/158)of the isolates grew well in media with the presence of colistin(4μg/mL),tetracycline(16μg/mL),tigecycline(1μg/mL),ampicillin(32μg/mL),chloramphenicol(32μg/mL),cefepime(16μg/mL),and ciprofloxacin(1μg/mL),respectively.This study contributes to the understanding of genotypes and antimicrobial resistance profile of P.multocida currently circulation in pigs of China. | Songtao Liu Lin Lin Hao Yang Wenqing Wu Long Guo Yue Zhang Fei Wang Xueying Wang Wenbo Song Lin Hua Wan Liang Xibiao Tang Huanchun Chen Zhong Peng Bin Wu | 2021 | Animal Diseases2021,1,4: | 1
Identification of sweet spots in shale-type and siltstone-type“shale oil systems”:A case study of the Chang 7 Member in Ordos Basin显示文摘Mid-high maturity shale oil is the most realistic field for the scale breakthrough of terrestrial shale oil production in China.Generally, three deficiencies hinder shale oil development in China:heavy oil density, small sweet spot areas, and poor distribution continuity. Thus, identifying the“sweet spots”in shale oil reservoirs is critical for the efficient exploration and development of terrestrial shale oil. This study targets the siltstone type(Class-Ⅱshale oil)and pure shale type(Class-Ⅲshale oil)of the Chang 7 Member in the Ordos Basin, and identifies three stratigraphic units, namely the hydrocarbon accumulation unit, hydrocarbon generation unit, and hydrocarbon retention unit, which together constitute the in-source“shale oil system”.The hydrocarbon accumulation unit is mainly siltstone, where the hydrocarbons are migrated from shales. It has favorable porethroat network connectivity with a pore connectivity ratio of 32–57%,being the siltstone-type sweet spots. The hydrocarbon generation unit is mainly composed of high-TOC mudstone/shale and is the main contributor to in-source hydrocarbon generation and expulsion. This unit has high three-dimensional connectivity(28–30%),as shown by the pore-throat network model, associated with vertical paths for hydrocarbon expulsion. The hydrocarbon retention unit is mainly composed of low-TOC mudstone/shale retaining self-generated and migrated hydrocarbons. The pore connectivity rate is 17–42%,and the pore-throat network connectivity direction is uneven.Light and low-carbon-number hydrocarbons are preferentially trapped or even sealed in small pores of the retention unit, forming the typical mudstone/shale-type sweet spots. In the process called shale oil intrasource migration, the oil migrates in source rocks causing component fractionation, which allows more shale oil to enrich in the hydrocarbon accumulation and retention units to form sweet spots, compared with the hydrocarbon generation unit. The migration paths include the one from mudstone/shale to siltstone interlayers and that from the high-TOC mudstone/shale intervals to the low-TOC intervals. The in-source accumulation of shale oil shows the differentiated enrichment model featuring“high-TOC mudstone/shale generating hydrocarbons,low-TOC mudstone/shale retaining hydrocarbons, siltstone accumulating hydrocarbons and multiple intra-source migration paths”.In the Ordos Basin, the organic-lean(TOC 1–3%)mudstone/shale intervals appear to be the sweet spots of shale oil, where there are abundant medium-short-chain hydrocarbons retained with high flowability. After fracturing stimulation, their production conditions may be even superior to those of siltstones. This proposed idea changes the previous strategy to look for sweet spots in high-TOC intervals derived from the shale gas industry. | Songqi PAN Qiulei GUO Caineng ZOU Zhenhua JING Ming YUAN Ying HE He ZHENG Ying MU Zhi YANG Shixiang LI Xinping ZHOU Songtao WU Hanlin LIU Feng YANG Yuanjia HAN | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,7: | 1

Characteristics,Types, and Prospects of Geological Sweet Sections in Giant Continental Shale Oil Provinces in China显示文摘“Sweet sections”in giant shale oil provinces are preferential fields that primarily support China to increase the reserves and production of continental shale oil.Based on the study of the geological conditions of shale oil in the continental basins in China,it was found that the shale stratum in major oil generation windows generally has higher degrees of oil and gas accumulation, and mostly contains oil.Hydrocarbon generation and reservoir capacities are the two key parameters for evaluating and optimizing favorable shale oil provinces. The evaluation index(volume of shale stratum multiplied by total organic carbon(TOC)multiplied by total porosity)for the giant continental shale oil provinces is also proposed. It is optimized that the Upper Triassic Chang 7 Member in the southcentral Ordos Basin,Lower Cretaceous Qing 1 Member in the Gulong-Changling Sag in the Songliao Basin,Middle-Lower Permian in the Junggar Basin,Da’anzhai Member of the Ziliujing Formation of Lower Jurassic in the central and northern Sichuan Basin, and Paleogene oil-rich sag in the Bohai Bay Basin are the five giant continental shale oil provinces. The word“geological sweet sections”in continental shale oil provinces of China refers to favorable shale intervals which are relatively rich in oil, with superior physical properties, and more easily modified and developed commercially under applicable economic and technological conditions. After evaluation, there are mainly two types of“geological sweet sections”of giant continental shale oil developed onshore in China. One type of“geological sweet sections”is generally mudstone with optimal physical properties or a thin tight reservoir,to which the shale oil migrates a short distance. They are medium-to-high-mature zones with a thin sandy shale stratum in the Chang 7 Member in the Ordos Basin, mixed shale stratum in the mediummature Lucaogou Formation in the Jimsar Sag,and multi-layered mixed Paleogene shale stratum in the Bohai Bay Basin. The other type of“geological sweet sections”is generally shale oil residing in various shale reservoir spaces. This type was developed in the Qing 1 Member in the Gulong Sag and Da’anzhai Member in the north-central Sichuan Basin.Free shale oil mainly occurs in shale, sandycarbonate lamina,micro-lamella structure, and micro-fractures.Layers with lamina, lamination, and micro-fractures are generally shale oil“geological sweet sections.”Starting from field tests and the construction of the“geological sweet sections”in giant continental shale oil provinces, the shale oil industry has been rapidly developing and will become an important supplement to domestic oil production in China. | Zhi Yang Caineng Zou Songtao Wu Songqi Pan Xiaoni Wang Haitao Liu Wenqi Jiang Jiarui Li Qiyan Li Xiaobing Niu Guohui Li Zhenxing Tang Xuguang Guo Dong Huang Qizhao Wei | 2022 | Journal of Earth Science2022,33,5: | 1

Highly efficient H-bonding charge-transfer complex for microsupercapacitors under extreme conditions of low temperatures显示文摘Owing to sluggish ionic mobility at low temperatures, supercapacitors, as well as other energy-storage devices, always suffer from severe capacity decay and even failure under extreme low-temperature circumstances. Solar-thermal-enabled self-heating promises an attractive approach to overcome this issue. Here, we report a unique H-bonding charge-transfer complex with a high photothermal conversion efficiency of 79.5% at 405 nm based on chloranilic acid and albendazole. Integrated with a microsupercapacitor, the chloranilic acid-albendazole complex(CAC) film prompts an apparent temperature increase of 22.7 °C under 1 sun illumination at-32.6 °C, effectively elevating the working temperature of devices. As a result, the rate capability of the microsupercapacitor has been significantly improved with a 17-fold increase in capacitance at a current density of 60 μA cm^(-2), leading to outstanding low-temperature performances. Importantly, the integrated device is capable of working at a low temperature of-30 °C in the open air, which demonstrates the potential of CAC in practical applications for low-temperature ultracapacitive energy-storage devices. | Libin Wang Ting Shu Songtao Guo Shi Chen Yingjun Jiang Xianluo Hu | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,12: | 0
