1Cancer incidence and mortality in Shandong province,2012显示文摘Objective: Population-based cancer registration data in 2012 from all available cancer registries in Shandong province were collected by Shandong Center for Disease Control and Prevention(SDCDC). SDCDC estimated the numbers of new cancer cases and cancer deaths in Shandong province with compiled cancer incidence and mortality rates.Methods: In 2015, there were 21 cancer registries submitted data of cancer incidence and deaths occurred in 2012. All the data were checked and evaluated based on the National Central Cancer Registry(NCCR) criteria of data quality. Qualified data from 15 registries were used for cancer statistics analysis as provincial estimation. The pooled data were stratified by area(urban/rural), gender, age group(0, 1-4, 5-9, 10-14, …, 85+ years) and cancer type. New cancer cases and deaths were estimated using age-specific rates and corresponding provincial population in 2012. The Chinese census data in 2000 and Segi's population were applied for age-standardized rates. All the rates were expressed per 100,000 person-year.Results: Qualified 15 cancer registries(4 urban and 11 rural registries) covered 17,189,988 populations(7,486,039 in urban and 9,703,949 in rural areas). The percentage of cases morphologically verified(MV%) and death certificate-only cases(DCO%) were 66.12% and 2.93%, respectively, and the mortality to incidence rate ratio(M/I) was 0.60. A total of 253,060 new cancer cases and 157,750 cancer deaths were estimated in Shandong province in 2012. The incidence rate was 263.86/100,000(303.29/100,000 in males, 223.23/100,000 in females), the age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC) and by world standard population(ASIRW) were 192.42/100,000 and 189.50/100,000 with the cumulative incidence rate(0-74 years old) of 22.07%. The cancer incidence, ASIRC and ASIRW in urban areas were 267.64/100,000, 195.27/100,000 and 192.02/100,000 compared to 262.32/100,000, 191.26/100,000 and 188.48/100,000 in rural areas, respectively. The cancer mortality was 164.47/100,000(207.42/100,000 in males, 120.23/100,000 in females), the age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASMRC) and by world standard population(ASMRW) were 117.54/100,000 and 116.90/100,000, and the cumulative mortality rate(0-74 years old) was 13.53%. The cancer mortality, ASMRC and ASMRW were 141.59/100,000, 101.17/100,000 and 100.33/100,000 in urban areas, and 173.79/100,000, 124.20/100,000 and 123.64/100,000 in rural areas, respectively. Cancers of the lung, stomach, liver, esophagus, colorectum, female breast, brain, leukemia, bladder and pancreas were the most common cancers, accounting for about 82.12% of all cancer new cases. Lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, esophageal cancer, colorectal cancer, female breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, brain tumor, leukemia and lymphoma were the leading causes of cancer death, accounting for about 89.01% of all cancer deaths. The cancer spectrum showed difference between urban and rural, males and females both in incidence and mortality rates.Conclusions: Cancer surveillance information in Shandong province is making great progress with the increasing number of cancer registries, population coverage and the improving data quality. Cancer registration plays a fundamental role in cancer control by providing basic information on population-based cancer incidence, mortality, survival and time trend. 2Effects of traverse speed on weld formation,microstructure and mechanical properties of ZK60 Mg alloy joint by bobbin tool friction stir welding显示文摘ZK60B(Mg-6%Zn-0.6%Zr)alloy joints fabricated by bobbin tool friction stir welding(BTFSW)with various traverse speeds were investigated.The sound joint fabricated by the BTFSW was possible under the appropriate welding parameters.The severe plastic deformation during BTFSW resulted in dispersion and segregation of the Zr-rich particles within the stirred zone(SZ)followed by evolution of a bimodal grain structure with distributed bands of 0.8-1.7μm ultrafine grains and 4.1-7.1μm equiaxed grains.Micro-hardness of SZ is substantially reduced in contrast to that of parent metal(PM)in spite of the finer grain size owing to dissolution of Mg-Zn based precipitates having hardening effects on alpha-Mg matrix.With the decrease in traverse speed,randomization degree of the plasticized metal flow increases,which is evidenced by the randomized arc line pattern at the low traverse speed.Among all defect-free joints,the 200 mm/min joint exhibits the weakest isotropy of texture within SZ and the best tensile properties,which has reduced ultimate tensile strength and yield strength by 5.4% and by 22.2%,respectively,as compared to the PM.The randomized texture hinders the joint fracturing within SZ at low elongation.Therefore,a relatively high elongation of 10.8% was achieved,which corresponded to 72% of the PM value.Gaohui LI Li ZHOU Haifeng ZHANG Sanfeng LUO Ning GUO 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,12:3

5Unraveling the degradation mechanism of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2) at the high cut-off voltage for lithium ion batteries显示文摘LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)layered oxides have been regarded as promising alternative cathodes for the next generation of high-energy lithium ion batteries(LIBs)due to high discharge capacities and energy densities at high operation voltage.However,the capacity fading under high operation voltage still restricts the practical application.Herein,the capacity degradation mechanism of NCM811 at atomic-scale is studied in detail under various cut-off voltages using aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM).It is observed that the crystal structure of NCM811 evolution from a layered structure to a rock-salt phase is directly accompanied by serious intergranular cracks under 4.9 V,which is distinguished from the generally accepted structure evolution of layered,disordered layered,defect rock salt and rock salt phases,also observed under 4.3 and 4.7 V.The electron energy loss spectroscopy analysis also confirms the reduction of Ni and Co from the surface to the bulk,not the previously reported only Li/Ni interlayer mixing.The degradation mechanism of NCM811 at a high cut-off voltage of4.9 V is attributed to the formation of intergranular cracks induced by defects,the direct formation of the rock salt phase,and the accompanied reduction of Ni^(2+)and Co^(2+)phases from the surface to the bulk.Liming Wang Qingmei Su Bin Han Weihao Shi Gaohui Du Yunting Wang Huayv Li Lin Gu Wenqi Zhao Shukai Ding Miao Zhang Yongzhen Yang Bingshe Xu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:1

9Rational design of a hollow porous structure for enhancing diffusion kinetics of K ions in edge-nitrogen doped carbon nanorods显示文摘The high electrical conductivity makes it possible for one-dimensional(1D)carbon materials to be used as the promising anodes for potassium ion batteries(PIBs),however,the sluggish diffusion kinetics caused by large-sized potassium ions(K^(+))limits their practical applications in energy storage systems.In this work,hollow carbon nanorods were rationally designed as a case to verify the superiority of 1D hollow structure to improve the diffusion kinetics of K^(+).Simultaneously,edge-N(pyridinic-N and pyrrolic-N)atoms were also introduced into 1D hollow carbon structure,which can provide ample active sites and defects in graphitic lattices to adsorb K^(+),providing extra capacitive storage capacity.As expected,the optimized edge-N doped hollow carbon nanorods(ENHCRs)exhibits a high reversible capacity of 544 mAh·g^(−1)at 0.1 A·g^(−1)after 200 cycles.Even at 5 A·g^(−1),it displays a long-term cycling stability with 255 mAh·g^(−1)over 10,000 cycles.The electrochemical measurements confirm that the hollow structure is favorable to improve the transfer kinetics of K^(+)during cycling.And the theoretical calculations demonstrate that edge-N doping can enhance the local electronegativity of graphitic lattices to adsorb much more K^(+),where edge-N doping synergizes with 1D hollow structure to achieve enhanced K^(+)-storage performances.Ping Niu Yang Yang Zhiqiang Li Gaohui Ding Lingzhi Wei Ge Yao Helin Niu Yulin Min Fangcai Zheng Qianwang Chen 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:1

12Experimental investigation on cenosphere-aluminum syntactic foam-filled tubes under axial impact loading显示文摘A new syntactic foam material was prepared by screening three different average particle sizes of cenospheres(150,200,and 300μm)from industrial waste fly ash.Axial impact testing on syntactic foam filler and foam-filled tubes was conducted using a drop hammer test machine.The effects of parameters,such as the size of cenospheres and the impact velocity,on the mechanism of deformation,mechanical characteristics,and capacity for energy absorption of the specimen were investigated.On this basis,the differences in compressive properties exhibited by the syntactic foam-filled tubes under the two loading conditions were investigated.The results indicate that with the decrease in the average diameter of cenospheres,the initial peak crushing load and mean crushing load of foam-filled tubes increase,while the compression efficiency decreases.The specific energy absorption(SEA)of the syntactic foam-filled tube can reach 25 J/g.With the increase of impact velocity,the SEA of the specimen increases slightly.It was demonstrated that the syntactic foam-filled tube exhibits a higher effective energy absorption ratio under impact loading compared to quasi-static loading.Li WANG Boyi ZHANG Jian ZHANG Yuexin JIANG Wei WANG Gaohui WU 2023Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2023,24,11:0
13Sex But Not Altitude, Modulates Phenotypic Covariations Between Growth and Physiological Traits in Adult Asiatic Toads显示文摘The pace-of-life syndrome(POLS) hypothesis predicts that most variation in life history, physiology,and behavior among individuals, popula tions, and species falls along a continuum from slow to fast pace of life. While there is evidence for climatic gradientmediated POLS patterns among species, this approach has rarely been explicitly used to study POLS patterns among-and within-populations. In addition, the roles of sex in POLS evolution among-or within-populations are largely unknown. In this study, we investigated the effects of altitudinal gradient and sex on the covariations between growth rate and several physiological traits closely associated with POLS(blood glucose, baselineand stress-induced glucocorticoids(GCs), hemolysis and hemagglutination) in the Asiatic toad Bufo gargarizans.Contrary to our expectation, altitudinal gradient had no influence on the covariations between growth rate and physiological traits, neither at the among-nor withinpopulation level, indicating that these trait integrations have similar fitness payoffs across hierarchical levels.In contrast, we found evidence for sex-specific POLS composition: there was a negative covariance structure between growth rate and baseline GCs-but only in females, and a positive covariance structure between growth rate and baseline GCs-but only in females, and a positive covariance structure between growth rate and hemagglutination-but only in males. 14Causal Effect of Genetically Determined Blood Copper Concentrations on Multiple Diseases: A Mendelian Randomization and Phenome-Wide Association Study显示文摘Exposures to copper have become a health concern.We aim to explore the broad clinical effects of blood copper concentrations.A total of 376,346 Caucasian subjects were enrolled.We performed a Mendelian randomization and phenome-wide association study(MR-PheWAS)to evaluate the causal association between copper and a wide range of outcomes in UK Biobank,and we constructed a protein-protein interaction network.We found association between blood copper concentrations and five diseases in the overall population and nine diseases in male.MR analysis implicated a causal role of blood copper in five diseases(overall population),including prostate cancer(OR=0.87,95%CI 0.77-0.98),malignant and unknown neoplasms of the brain and nervous system(OR=0.58,95%CI 0.38-0.89),and hypertension(OR=0.94,95%CI 0.90-0.98),essential hypertension(OR=0.94,95%CI 0.90-0.98)and cancer of brain and nervous system(OR=0.63,95%CI 0.41-0.98).For male,except for dysphagia being newly associated with blood copper(OR=1.39,95%CI 1.18-1.63),other MR results were consistent with the overall population.In addition,the PPI network showed possible relationship between blood copper and four outcomes,namely brain cancer,prostate cancer,hypertension,and dysphagia.Blood copper may have causal association with prostate cancer,malignant and unknown neoplasms of the brain and nervous system,hypertension,and dysphagia.Considering that copper is modifiable,exploring whether regulation of copper levels can be used to optimize health outcomes might have public health importance.Xiuming Feng Wenjun Yang Lulu Huang Hong Cheng Xiaoting Ge Gaohui Zan Yanli Tan Lili Xiao Chaoqun Liu Xing Chen Zengnan Mo Longman Li Xiaobo Yang 2022Phenomics2022,2,4:0

16Mg/Fe site-specific dual-doping to boost the performance of cobalt-free nickle-rich layered oxide cathode for high-energy lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Layer-type LiNi0.9Mn0.1O2is promising to be the primary cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to its excellent electrochemical performance.Unfortunately,the cathode with high nickel content suffers from severely detrimental structural transformation that causes rapid capacity attenuation.Herein,site-specific dual-doping with Fe and Mg ions is proposed to enhance the structural stability of LiNi0.9Mn0.1O2.The Fe3+dopants are inserted into transition metal sites(3b)and can favorably provide additional redox potential to compensate for charge and enhance the reversibility of anionic redox.The Mg ions are doped into the Li sites(3a)and serve as O_(2)^(-)-Mg^(2+)-O_(2)^(-)pillar to reinforce the electrostatic cohesion between the two adjacent transition-metal layers,which further suppress the cracking and the generation of harmful phase transitions,ultimately improving the cyclability.The theoretical calculations,including Bader charge and crystal orbital Hamilton populations(COHP)analyses,confirm that the doped Fe and Mg can form stable bonds with oxygen and the electrostatic repulsion of O_(2)^(-)-O_(2)^(-)can be effectively suppressed,which effectively mitigates oxygen anion loss at the high delithiation state.This dual-site doping strategy offers new avenues for understanding and regulating the crystalline oxygen redox and demonstrates significant potential for designing high-performance cobalt-free nickel-rich cathodes.Yunting Wang Gaohui Du Di Han Wenhao Shi Jiahao Deng Huayu Li Wenqi Zhao Shukai Ding Qingmei Su Bingshe Xu 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,91,4:0
17Diphylleia Grayi-Inspired Intelligent Temperature-Responsive Transparent Nanofiber Membranes显示文摘Nanofiber membranes(NFMs) have become attractive candidates for next-generation flexible transparent materials due to their exceptional flexibility and breathability. However, improving the transmittance of NFMs is a great challenge due to the enormous reflection and incredibly poor transmission generated by the nanofiber-air interface. In this research, we report a general strategy for the preparation of flexible temperature-responsive transparent(TRT) membranes,which achieves a rapid transformation of NFMs from opaque to highly transparent under a narrow temperature window. In this process, the phase change material eicosane is coated on the surface of the polyurethane nanofibers by electrospray technology. When the temperature rises to 37 ℃, eicosane rapidly completes the phase transition and establishes the light transmission path between the nanofibers, preventing light loss from reflection at the nanofiber-air interface. The resulting TRT membrane exhibits high transmittance(> 90%), and fast response(5 s). 18High responsivity and fast response 8×8β-Ga_(2)O_(3)solar-blind ultraviolet imaging photodetector array显示文摘In this work,an 8×8 Ga_(2)O_(3)solar-blind ultraviolet photodetector array is introduced for image sensing application.The 2-in wafer-scaled Ga_(2)O_(3)thin film was grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition technique;and the photodetector array was fabricated through ultraviolet photolithography,lift-off,and electron-beam evaporation.In addition to the high solar-blind/visible rejection ratio of 104,every photodetector cell in the array has high performance and fast response speed,such as responsivity of 49.4 A W^(-1),specific detectivity of 6.8×10^(14)Jones,external quantum efficiency of 1.9×10^(4)%,linear dynamic range of 117.8 d B,and response time of 41 ms,respectively,indicating the high photo-response performance of the photodetector.Moreover,the photodetector array displayed uniform responsivity with a standard deviation of~6%,and presented a sensing image of low chromatic aberration,owing to the high resolution of the photodetector array.In a word,this work may contribute to developing Ga_(2)O_(3)-based optoelectronic device applications.SHEN GaoHui LIU Zeng TANG Kai SHA ShuLin LI Lei TAN Chee-Keong GUO YuFeng TANG WeiHua 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,11:0
