2Into Africa via docked India: a fossil climbing perch from the Oligocene of Tibet helps solve the anabantid biogeographical puzzle显示文摘The northward drift of the Indian Plate and its collision with Eurasia have profoundly impacted the evolutionary history of the terrestrial organisms, especially the ones along the Indian Ocean rim. Climbing perches(Anabantidae) are primary freshwater fishes showing a disjunct south Asian-African distribution,but with an elusive paleobiogeographic history due to the lack of fossil evidence. Here, based on an updated time-calibrated anabantiform phylogeny integrating a number of relevant fossils, the divergence between Asian and African climbing perches is estimated to have occurred in the middle Eocene(ca.40 Ma, Ma: million years ago), a time when India had already joined with Eurasia. The key fossil lineage is ?Eoanabas, the oldest anabantid known so far, from the upper Oligocene of the Tibetan Plateau.Ancestral range reconstructions suggest a Southeast Asian origin in the early Eocene(ca. 48 Ma) and subsequent dispersals to Tibet and then India for this group. Thereby we propose their westbound dispersal to Africa via the biotic bridge between India and Africa. If so, climbing perch precursors had probably followed the paleobiogeographical route of snakehead fishes, which have a slightly older divergence between African and Asian taxa. As such, our study echoes some recent molecular analyses in rejecting the previously held ‘‘Gondwana continental drift vicariance' or late Mesozoic dispersal scenarios for the climbing perches, but provides a unique biogeographical model to highlight the role of the preuplift Tibet and the docked India in shaping the disjunct distribution of some air-breathing freshwater fishes around the Indian Ocean.Feixiang Wu Dekui He Gengyu Fang Tao Deng 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,7:6

5Manipulating a micro-cantilever between its optomechanical bistable states in a lever-based Fabry-Pérot cavity显示文摘In this paper, we demonstrate experimentally switching a cantilever between its optomechanical bistable states in a low finesse optical cavity. Our experiment shows that the deformation of cantilever can be manipulated by tuning the cavity resonance. When the laser power increases across the threshold value of 110 ?W, optomechanical bistability is induced by strong static photothermal backaction at room temperature. Numerical calculation revealed that the bistable effect originates from the multi-well potential created via the optomechanical interaction. 12Spillover and quantile linkage between oil price shocks and stock returns: new evidence from G7 countries显示文摘The link between crude oil price and stock returns of the Group of Seven(G7)countries(Canada,France,Germany,Italy,Japan,the United Kingdom,and the United States)was analyzed in this study using monthly data from January 1999 to March 2020.We adopt a similar approach to Kilian(Am Econ Rev 99(3):1053–1069,2009)and construct a structural vector autoregression framework to decompose crude oil price shocks into oil supply shock,oil aggregate demand shock,and oil-specific demand shock.We then explore the distinct effects of different kinds of oil price shocks from various sources.Based on the decomposed oil price shocks,we apply the connectedness approach and QQ regression to find time-varying co-movements and tail dependence between oil price shocks and G7 stock returns.There is no general correlation between the decomposed oil prices and stock returns in these countries.The effects of oil price shocks on stock returns across different stock market conditions appear to be heterogeneous.Oil supply shock appears to be a net transmitter of spillover effects for all G7 countries within the sample period.Yonghong Jiang Gengyu Tian Bin Mo 2020Financial Innovation2020,6,1:1

16Operational Gesture Segmentation and Recognition显示文摘Gesture analysis by computer is an important part of the human computer interface (HCI) and agesture analysis method was developed using a skin-color-based method to extract the area representing thehand in a single image with a distribution feature measurement designed to describe the hand shape in theimages. A hidden Markov model (HMM) based method was used to analyze the temporal variation andsegmentation of continuous operational gestures. Furthermore, a transition HMM was used to represent theperiod between gestures, so the method could segment continuous gestures and eliminate non-standardgestures. 17Integrating WSN and Laser SLAM for Mobile Robot Indoor Localization显示文摘Localization plays a vital role in the mobile robot navigation system and is a fundamental capability for the following path planning task.In an indoor environment where the global positioning system signal fails or becomes weak,the wireless sensor network(WSN)or simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM)scheme gradually becomes a research hot spot.WSN method uses received signal strength indicator(RSSI)values to determine the position of the target signal node,however,the orientation of the target node is not clear.Besides,the distance error is large when the indoor signal receives interference.The laser SLAM-based method usually uses a 2D laser Lidar to build an occupancy grid map,then locates the robot according to the known grid map.Unfortunately,this scheme only works effectively in those areas with salient geometrical features.The traditional particle filter always fails for areas with similar structures,such as a long corridor.To solve their shortcomings,this paper proposes a novel coarse-to-fine paradigm that uses WSN to assist mobile robot localization in a geometrically similar environment.Firstly,the fingerprints database is built in the offline stage to get reference distance information.The distance data is determined by the statistical mean value of multiple RSSI values.Secondly,a hybrid map with grid cells and RSSI values is constructed when the mobile robot moves from a starting point to the ending place.Thirdly,the RSSI values are thought of as a basic reference to get a coarse localization.Finally,an improved particle filteringmethod is presented to achieve fine localization.Experimental results demonstrate that our approach is effective and robust for global localization.The localization success rate reaches 97.0%and the average moving distance is only 0.74 meters,while the traditional method always fails.In addition,the method also works well when the mobile robot is kidnapped to another position in the environment.Gengyu Ge Zhong Qin Xin Chen 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,3:0
18Visual-feature-assisted mobile robot localization in a long corridor environment显示文摘Localization plays a vital role in the mobile robot navigation system and is a fundamental capability for autonomous movement.In an indoor environment,the current mainstream localization scheme uses two-dimensional(2D)laser light detection and ranging(LiDAR)to build an occupancy grid map with simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM)technology;it then locates the robot based on the known grid map.However,such solutions work effectively only in those areas with salient geometrical features.For areas with repeated,symmetrical,or similar structures,such as a long corridor,the conventional particle filtering method will fail.To solve this crucial problem,this paper presents a novel coarse-to-fine paradigm that uses visual features to assist mobile robot localization in a long corridor.First,the mobile robot is remote-controlled to move from the starting position to the end along a middle line.In the moving process,a grid map is built using the laser-based SLAM method.At the same time,a visual map consisting of special images which are keyframes is created according to a keyframe selection strategy.The keyframes are associated with the robot’s poses through timestamps.Second,a moving strategy is proposed,based on the extracted range features of the laser scans,to decide on an initial rough position.This is vital for the mobile robot because it gives instructions on where the robot needs to move to adjust its pose.Third,the mobile robot captures images in a proper perspective according to the moving strategy and matches them with the image map to achieve a coarse localization.Finally,an improved particle filtering method is presented to achieve fine localization.Experimental results show that our method is effective and robust for global localization.The localization success rate reaches 98.8%while the average moving distance is only 0.31 m.In addition,the method works well when the mobile robot is kidnapped to another position in the corridor.Gengyu GE Yi ZHANG Wei WANG Lihe HU Yang WANG Qin JIANG 2023Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,6:0
19Creep behavior and effect factors of a TiAl-Nb alloy at high temperatu显示文摘The effect of solution treatment on the microstructure and creep properties of forged TiAl-Nb alloys was investigated.The results showed that the microstructure of forged alloy mainly consisted ofγ/α2 lamellar colonies and fine equiaxed recrystallizedγ/α2 grains.During the solution treatment the microstructure of the alloy transformed into a fully lamellar structure due to the lamellar colonies growth by consuming equiaxed grains.Compared with the forged alloy the creep life of the solution treated alloy at 800℃/220 MPa increased from 116 h to 339 h.The better creep resistance may be attributed to the transform of fine equiaxedγ/α2 grain to the lamellar colonies with serrated grain boundaries due to the solution treatment.The deformation mechanism of the solution treated alloy during creep is considered to be dislocation slipping within the lamellarγ/α2 phases,and the dislocation movement may be hindered by theγ/α2 interface and the formation of dislocation tangles.The interaction of the dislocations with the tangles may increase the resistance of the dislocation motion and hence improve the creep resistance of the alloy.It was found that during the creep of the forged alloys the cracks mainly initiated at the equiaxed grain,and in the solution treated alloy the cracks initiated at the grain boundaries.As creep continued the cracks propagated and connected to each other,leading to the damage and rupture of the forged and solution treated alloys.Shunke Zhang Sugui Tian Gengyu Li Ning Tian Fangwei Jin Huichen Yu Xiaoxia Lv Guangyan Wang Deyuan Li 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,3:0
20Enhancing the Activity of N/C Catalyst for Oxygen Reduction Reaction by Fluorination显示文摘The synthesis of non-metal carbon catalysts with high catalytic activity for ORR(oxygen reduction reaction)in acidic media is a great challenge in the field of PEMFC(proton exchange membrane fuel cells).In this research,N-and F-codoped carbon catalyst with high performance was synthesized from ZIF-8 and NH4F,which are easily prepared structure and common chemical,respectively.The as-prepared catalyst has a high surface area of 789 m2/g and micro-porosity of~2 nm,facilitating more active sites to the ORR and O2 mass transfer in the diffusion of the catalyst matrix,respectively.The prepared N/C(NH4F)catalyst exhibited an onset potential of 0.94 V(vs.RHE)and a half-wave potential of 0.65 V in 0.1 M HClO4 solution.It also showed excellent durability in the cycling test of 10,000 times and a degradation shift of half-wave potential 70 mV was observed.Its diffusion-limiting current reached 5.85 mA/cm2 next to the theoretic value of 6 mA/cm2,suggesting that it has plenty of active sites for ORR,which could be attributed to fluorine introduction into the N/C catalyst.It proved that the introduction of fluorine into the structure of the N/C catalyst fine-tunes the Lewis basic sites of the carbon atoms adjacent to pyridinic and graphitic nitrogen species,facilitating the adsorption of oxygen molecules in the initial step of the ORR.The correlation between the N/C catalyst activity and the fluorination provides new insight into the ORR catalyst design.Yun Wu Xinyu Lu Jiawei Li Hengchang Lin Maosen Pan Gengyu Cao Yuta Nabae 2023材料科学与工程(中英文A版)2023,13,3:0
