1Effect of Y_2O_3 on Cracking Susceptibility of Laser-Clad Ti-Based Composites Coatings显示文摘Ti-based composite coatings reinforced by in situ synthesized TiB and TiC were deposited on Ti6Al4 V substrates by laser cladding. The effects of Y2O3 on the microstructure and cracking susceptibility of the coatings were investigated in details. It is shown that a small amount of Y2O3 addition can significantly refine the microstructure of the coatings by hastening spheroidization of the primary phase structure. The maximum refinement in microstructure was obtained with the optimum(2 wt%) addition of Y2O3. Moreover, it can increase the volume fraction of TiC and reduce the residual stress of the coatings due to the decrease in lattice distortion of the a(Ti) matrix. All of these factors lead to the reduction in cracking susceptibility of the coatings containing Y2O3 on the premise that the hardness of the coatings is improved. The fracture toughness of the coatings without and with Y2O3(2 wt%) is 8.32 and 17.36 MPa?m1/2, respectively. 2Global patterns and changes of carbon emissions from land use during 1992e2015显示文摘Carbon emissions from land use(ELUC)are an important part of anthropogenic CO_(2) emissions,but its size and location remain uncertain,and our knowledge of the relationship between ELUC and GDP remains partial.We showed that the carbon emissions directly caused by land use change(direct ELUC)during 1992-2015 was 26.54 Pg C(1.15 Pg C yr^(-1)),with a decreased trend and a net reduction rate of0.15 Pg C yr^(-1).The areas that exhibited reductions were concentrated in South America,Central Africa,and Southeast Asia,and those with increments were scattered in Northwestern North America,Eastern South America,Central Africa,East Asia,and parts of Southeast Asia.For the indirect carbon emissions from the utilization of built-up land(indirect ELUC),it manifested an upward trend with a total emission of 27.51 Pg C(1.2 Pg C yr^(-1)).The total value resulted by global ELUC was $136.3×10^(9) US,and the value of annual was equivalent to 3.7 times the GDP of the Central African Republic in 2015($5.93×10^(9) US yr^(-1)).Among the 79 countries and regions considered in this study,54 represented the upward GDP with increased emissions,and only 25 experienced GDP growth with emission reductions.These findings highlight the pivotal role of land use change in the carbon cycle and the significance of coordinated development between GDP and carbon emissions.Shiqi Tian Shijie Wang Xiaoyong Bai Guangjie Luo Qin Li Yujie Yang Zeyin Hu Chaojun Li Yuanhong Deng 2021Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2021,,3:2

5Formation of the Huajiang Grand Canyon (southwestern China) driven by the evolution of a Late Pleistocene tiankeng显示文摘Collapse is a common geomorphic process in karst areas,especially on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau,which has a tectonic background of integral uplift.The frequent occurrence of collapse processes in karst underground caves and canyons indicates that collapses play an important role in the formation of canyons.Through an analysis of the morphology of a semicircular cliff in the Huajiang Grand Canyon and an investigation of sediments at the bottom of the cliff,a large-scale collapse event was found to have occurred.U-series dating of secondary calcium carbonate cement in the collapse breccias indicates that collapse processes occurred approximately 200 ka.According to the geomorphological evolution of the Huajiang Grand Canyon,the following geomorphic evolutionary process is proposed:underground river-cave hall-collapse of a tiankeng-tiankeng degradation-canyon formation.These findings also show that the dating of collapsed breccia cement can be effectively used to determine the development times of karst canyons and the formation ages of tiankengs.Yunlong Fan Andrea Columbu Kangning Xiong Guangjie Luo Song Li Xuefeng Wang Yangyang Wu 2022Acta Geochimica2022,41,1:1

7Storage, form, and influencing factors of karst inorganic carbon in a carbonate area in China显示文摘Carbonate rock chemical weathering carbon sinks reduce the rate of increase of the atmospheric CO_(2) concentration and global warming. However, uncertainty still exists in the estimation results of carbonate rock chemical weathering carbon sink fluxes(CCSF), and the contributions of climate change and ecological restoration to the CCSF are not clear. To this end, we compiled published site data on ion concentrations in different watersheds in China and used a classical thermodynamic dissolution model to reassess the potential and spatial and temporal patterns of the CCSF in China from 1991 to 2020. We quantified the contributions of temperature(MAT), precipitation(MAP), evapotranspiration(ET), soil water(SM), and the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) to the CCSF. The results revealed that(1) China's CCSF was 22.76 t CO_(2)km^(-2)yr^(-1), which was higher than the global average(15.77 t CO_(2)km^(-2)yr^(-1)). The total carbonate rock chemical weathering carbon sink(CCS) was 4772.67×10^(4)t CO_(2), contributing 14.91% of the global CCS through a carbonate rock area of 252.98×10^(4)km^(-2).(2) China's CCSF decreased gradually from southeast to northwest, with values of 33.14, 12.93, and7.27 t CO_(2)km^(-2)yr^(-1)in the southern karst, Qinghai-Tibetan karst, and northern karst regions, respectively.(3) The overall CCSF in China exhibited an increasing trend from 1991 to 2020, with a rate of increase of 0.16 t CO_(2)km^(-2)yr^(-1).(4) The contributions of the MAP, MAT, ET, SM, and NDVI to the CCSF were 63.3%, 3.02%, 27.5%, 3.1%, and 3.05%, respectively. Among them, the increase in precipitation was the main contributor to the increase in the CCSF in China over the last 30 years, while the enhancement of ET offset part of the positive contribution of the increase in precipitation to the CCSF. In conclusion, the results of this study provide a systematic quantification of the magnitude, the patterns, and the influencing factors of CCS over a long time series in China. 8Orientation-Dependent Characteristics for Residual Grains during Hot Deformation of Nickel-Based Alloy 925显示文摘In the present work, the orientation characteristics of residual grains during hot deformation of an age-hardening Ni-Fe-Cr alloy(Alloy 925) at different conditions were systematically analyzed through high-resolution electron back-scatter diffraction. Based on the measurement of the kernel average misorientation, the density of geometrical necessary dislocations(GNDs) was further calculated. The orientation-dependent deformation mechanism of the residual grains was also discussed using Schmid factor difference ratio(SFDR) analysis. The results show that the deformed microstructure features typical 'necklace' structures. Many distorted twin boundaries can be observed within the residual grains at 950 ℃. When the deformation temperature increases to 1150 ℃, the volume fraction of dynamic recrystallization(DRX) increases, leading to the extensive formation of primary Σ3 twin boundaries. Additionally, the GNDs are widely distributed in the residual grains, while they are rare for the recrystallized grains. The maximum GND density value can be obtained at the interface of 'soft–hard' grains. The GND density also increases at higher strain rates, and the number of DRX grains significantly affects the distribution of the GND density.
