Effect of early enteral nutrition on postoperative nutritional status and immune function in elderly patients with esophageal cancer or cardiac cancer显示文摘Objective: To explore the effect of early enteral nutrition (EN) on postoperative nutritional status, intestinal permeability, and immune function in elderly patients with esophageal cancer or cardiac cancer. Methods: A total of 96 patients with esophageal cancer or cardiac cancer who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from June 2007 to December 2010 were enrolled in this study. They were divided into EN group (n=50) and parenteral nutrition (PN) group (n=46) based on the nutrition support modes. The body weight, time to first flatus/defecation, average hospital stay, complications and mortality after the surgery as well as the liver function indicators were recorded and analyzed. Peripheral blood samples were collected on the days 1, 4 and 7 after surgery. The plasma diamine oxidase (DAO) activity and D-lactate level were determined to assess the intestinal permeability. The plasma endotoxin levels were determined using dynamic turbidimetric assay to assess the protective effect of EN on intestinal mucosal barrier. The postoperative blood levels of inflammatory cytokines and immunoglobulins were determined using enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: After the surgery, the time to first flatus/defecation, average hospital stay, and complications were significantly less in the EN group than those in the PN group (P<0.05), whereas the EN group had significantly higher albumin levels than the PN group (P<0.05). On the 7th postoperative day, the DAO activity, D-lactate level and endotoxin contents were significantly lower in the EN group than those in the PN group (all P<0.05). In addition, the EN group had significantly higher IgA, IgG, IgM, and CD4 levels than the PN group (P<0.05) but significantly lower IL-2, IL-6, and TNF-α levels (P<0.05). Conclusions: In elderly patients with esophageal cancer or cardiac cancer, early EN after surgery can effectively improve the nutritional status, protect intestinal mucosal barrier (by reducing plasma endoxins), and enhance the immuneGuiping Yu Guoqiang Chen Bin Huang Wenlong Shao Guangqiao Zeng 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,3:67
Experimental study of an aircraft fuel tank inerting system显示文摘In this work, a simulated aircraft fuel tank inerting system has been successfully established based on a model tank. Experiments were conducted to investigate the influences of different operating parameters on the inerting effectiveness of the system, including flow rate of the inert gas(nitrogen-enriched air), inert gas concentration, fuel load of the tank and different inerting approaches. The experimental results show that under the same operating conditions, the time span of a complete inerting process decreased as the flow rate of inert gas was increased; the time span using the inert gas with 5% oxygen concentration was much longer than that using pure nitrogen;when the fuel tank was inerted using the ullage washing approach, the time span increased as the fuel load was decreased; the ullage washing approach showed the best inerting performance when the time span of a complete inerting process was the evaluation criterion, but when the decrease of dissolved oxygen concentration in the fuel was also considered to characterize the inerting effectiveness, the approach of ullage washing and fuel scrubbing at the same time was the most effective.Cai Yan Bu Xueqin Lin Guiping Sun Bing Zeng Yu Li Zixuan 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,2:15
Experimental investigation and correlation development of jet impingement heat transfer with two rows of aligned jet holes on an internal surface of a wing leading edge显示文摘Extensive experimental studies on the heat transfer characteristics of two rows of aligned jet holes impinging on a concave surface in a wing leading edge were conducted, where50000 Rej 90000, 1.74 H/d 27.5, 66° a 90°, and 13.2 r/d 42.03. The finding was that the heat transfer performance at the jet-impingement stagnation point with two rows of aligned jet holes was the same as that with a single row of jet holes or the middle row of three-row configurations when the circumferential angle of the two jet holes was larger than 30°. The attenuation coefficient distribution of the jet impingement heat transfer in the chordwise direction was so complicated that two zones were divided for a better analysis. It indicated that: the attenuation coefficient curve in the jet impingement zone exhibited an approximate upside-down bell shape with double peaks and a single valley; the attenuation coefficient curve in the non-jet impingement zone was like a half-bell shape, which was similar to that with three rows of aligned jet holes; the factors, including Rej, H/d and r/d, affected the attenuation coefficient value at the valley significantly. When r/d was increased from 30.75 to 42.03, the attenuation rates of attenuation coefficient increased only by 1.8%. Consequently, experimental data-based correlation equations of the Nusselt number for the heat transfer at the jet-impingement stagnation point and the distributionof the attenuation coefficient in the chordwise direction were acquired, which play an important role in designing the wing leading edge anti-icing system with two rows of aligned jet holes.Jia YU Long PENG Xueqin BU Xiaobin SHEN Guiping LIN Lizhan BAI 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,10:5
Particle swarm optimization and its application to seismic inversion of igneous rocks显示文摘In order to improve the fine structure inversion ability of igneous rocks for the exploration of underlying strata, based on particle swarm optimization(PSO), we have developed a method for seismic wave impedance inversion. Through numerical simulation, we tested the effects of different algorithm parameters and different model parameterization methods on PSO wave impedance inversion, and analyzed the characteristics of PSO method. Under the conclusions drawn from numerical simulation, we propose the scheme of combining a cross-moving strategy based on a divided block model and high-frequency filtering technology for PSO inversion. By analyzing the inversion results of a wedge model of a pitchout coal seam and a coal coking model with igneous rock intrusion, we discuss the vertical and horizontal resolution, stability and reliability of PSO inversion. Based on the actual seismic and logging data from an igneous area, by taking a seismic profile through wells as an example, we discuss the characteristics of three inversion methods, including model-based wave impedance inversion, multi-attribute seismic inversion based on probabilistic neural network(PNN) and wave impedance inversion based on PSO.And we draw the conclusion that the inversion based on PSO method has a better result for this igneous area.Yang Haijun Xu Yongzhong Peng Gengxin Yu Guiping Chen Meng Duan Wensheng Zhu Yongfeng Cui Yongfu Wang Xingjun 2017International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2017,27,2:3
Formulation optimization and in vitro antibacterial ability investigation of azithromycin loaded FDKP microspheres dry powder inhalation显示文摘Azithromycin loaded fumaryl diketopiperazine(FDKP)dry powder inhalation was designed and prepared for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia. The solubility of FDKP and stability of azithromycin solution was investigated.Formulation of azithromycin loaded FDKP microparticle was investigated and optimized by the single factor experiment.High-pressure homogenization and spray drying conditions were also optimized to prepare the particles by spray drying azithromycin dissolved FDKP microparticle suspension at pH 4.5.The in vitro antibacterial efficiency and in vitro dispersion performance was also investigated to confirm the antibacterial efficiency, dispersion and deposition behavers.FDKP/azithromycin mass ratio(3:2)was the optimized formulation of azithromycin loaded FDKP microparticle with the maximal drug loading efficiency.High-pressure homogenization and spray drying conditions were also optimized. The in vitro antibacterial results indicated that only with the antibiotic concentration higher than mutant prevention concentration could totally inhibit the reproduction of bacteria. In vitro dispersion performance of azithromycin loaded FDKP microparticles(AZM@FDKP-MPs)also shows remarkable improvement of dispersion and deposition behavers of AZM.AZM@FDKP-MPs dry powder inhalation as a targeting delivery route has better potential for lung infection treatment.Qiyue Wang Liang Ge Lu Wang Ying Xu Si Miao Guiping Yu Yan Shen 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,3:2
Structural Characteristics and their Significance for Hydrocarbon Accumulation in the Northern Slope of the Central Sichuan Paleo-uplift显示文摘Based on 2D and 3D seismic data, the latest drilling data and field outcrop data of the northern slope of the Central Sichuan paleo-uplift,the structural analysis method is used to analyze unconformity development characteristics and fault characteristics during the key structural transformation period, discussing the influence of the structural characteristics on the hydrocarbon accumulation of deep carbonate rocks. The results show that:(1)The two key unconformities of the Tongwan and Caledonian periods were primarily developed in deep carbonate rocks.Firstly,Tongwan’s unconformities are characterized by regional disconformities between the second and third members of the Dengying Formation, the top formation of the Sinian and the lower Cambrian, strips of which zigzag through the north and south sides of the study area.Secondly, the Caledonian unconformity is characterized by a regional unconformable contact between the lower Permian and the ower Paleozoic strata. From NE to SW,the age of the strata, which were subject to erosion, changes from new to old,the denudation distribution showing as a nose-shaped structure which inclines towards the ENE.(2)Boundary fault and transtensional strike-slip faults developed in the Sinian to Paleozoic strata. In profile, there are three types of structural styles:steep and erect, flower structures,’Y’and reversed’Y’type faults. In plane view, the Sinian developed extensional boundary faults extending in an almost NS direction,strike-slip faults developing and extending linearly in approximately EW,WNW and NE strikes in the Cambrian, with characteristically more in the south and less in the north.(3)The faults in the northern slope show obvious zonal deformations in transverse view as well as significant stages and stratified activity in a longitudinal direction.Among them, the activity of faults in the Sinian was the strongest, followed by the activity in the Cambrian period, the activity intensity of faults in the Permian period being the weakest. This fault activity can be divided into four periods:Sinian,Cambrian-Permian,the early Indosinian period and the late Indosinian-Himalayan period, the transtensional strikeslip faults being the products of oblique extensions of pre-existing weak zones in the Xingkai and Emei taphrogenesis, with a particular inheritance in the main faults.(4)Combined with hydrocarbon accumulation factors,it is considered that the epigenetic karstification of the Tongwan and Caledonian unconformities in the northern slope controlled the formation and distribution of carbonate karst reservoirs over a large area, also acting as a good pathway for oil and gas migration. The extensional faults developed at the margin of the NS trending rift, controlling the sag-platform sedimentary pattern in the Dengying Formation of the Sinian.Strike-slip faults in NE,WNW and ENE directions may control the microgeomorphological pattern inside the platform and intensify the differential distribution of grain beach facies. The multi-stage hereditary activity of strike-slip faults not only improved the porosity and permeability of the reservoirs, but also acted as the main channel of oil and gas migration, providing favorable conditions for the development of the current multi-layer gasbearing scenario in the northern slope of the Central Sichuan Basin.TIAN Xingwang LIU Guangdi LUO Bing YANG Yu WEN Long ZHANG Benjian CHEN Xiao SU Guiping SONG Zezhang PENG Hanlin ZHOU Gang YAN Wei YANG Dailin WANG Yunlong SUN Yiting DOU Shuang 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,4:2
Cenozoic magmatic activity and oblique uplifting of the Ailao Mountain: Evidence from a short-period dense seismic array显示文摘Geological studies show that the southern part of Ailaoshan-Red River shear zone(ALSRRSZ)has experienced complex metallogenic processes and multi-stage non-uniform uplifting, called oblique uplifting since the Cenozoic. To detect the deep structure and geodynamic background beneath Daping,Chang’an and other gold and polymetallic deposits in this area,we carried out a high-density short-period seismic array survey in southern Yunnan province. The array used is approximately240 km long with an interval of 500 m between two adjacent stations.Based on the data collected by the array,we used H-κstacking and common conversion point(CCP)methods of receiver functions to reveal the fine crustal structure beneath this array, which was located from Lvchun(western end)to the east and ended in Maguan. The three main conclusions are as follows.(1)The average crustal thickness is approximately 37 km and the Vp/Vsratio is 1.75.However,the thickness and Vp/Vsratio of the Ailao Mountain are rather greater or higher than those of the western Lanping-Simao Basin and eastern South-China block. These results may indicate that the crust is rich in ferromagnesian minerals or has a thermal fluid anomaly after orogenic movement.(2)There are two obvious inclined interfaces beneath the Ailao Mountain in the mid-upper crust, which suggests that strong deformation occurred there during the orogenic period. Some evidences, such as the weak converted-wave Pms phase from the Moho, low P-wave velocities of the upper mantle, high surface heat flow values, and generally developed hot springs, indicate that a strong crust-mantle interaction exists in the southern segments of the Ailaoshan-Red River shear zone. These interactions include a diapir of mantle-sourced magma(stronger in the east than that in the west),lateral collision from the Indian Plate, and the differential uplift caused by the strike-slip movement of the Red River Fault. All of above deep processes led to the Cenozoic oblique uplifting of Ailao Mountain.(3)By combining the location of the deposits on the surface, characteristics of the average crustal Vp/Vsratio,hypocenters of the small earthquakes along the research profile,Moho shape, and horizontal variations of the Pms phase amplitudes,we speculate that the Ailaoshan Fault was the upgoing conduit for metallogenic magma and played a significant role in the Cenozoic development of the multiform metal deposits around the Ailao Mountain area.Lu ZHANG Zhiming BAI Tao XU Zhenbo WU Minfu HUANG Guiping YU Junlei CHEN Mengjie ZHENG 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,9:1

Comparison of the Arctic upper-air temperatures from radiosonde and radio occultation observations显示文摘The air temperature is one of the most important parameters used for monitoring the Arctic climate change. The constellation observing system for meteorology, ionosphere, and climate and Formosa Satellite Mission 3(COSMIC/FORMOSAT-3) radio occultation(RO) 'wet' temperature product(i.e., 'wet Prf') is used to analyze the Arctic air temperature profiles at 925–200 hPa in 2007–2012. The 'wet' temperatures are further compared with radiosonde(RS) observations. The results from the spatially and temporally synchronized RS and COSMIC observations show that their temperatures agree well with each other, especially at 400 hPa. Comparisons of seasonal temperatures and anomalies from the COSMIC and homogenized RS observations suggest that the limited number of COSMIC observations during the spatial matchup may be insufficient to describe the smallscale spatial structure of temperature variations. Furthermore, comparisons of the seasonal temperature anomalies from the RS and 5°×5° gridded COSMIC observations at 400 hPa during the sea ice minimum(SIM) of2007 and 2012 are also made. The results reveal that similar Arctic temperature variation patterns can be obtained from both RS and COSMIC observations over the land area, while extra information can be further provided from the densely distributed COSMIC observations. Therefore, despite COSMIC observations being unsuitable to describe the Arctic temperatures in the lowest level, they provide a complementary data source to study the Arctic upper-air temperature variations and related climate change.CHANG Liang GUO Lixin FENG Guiping WU Xuerui GAO Guoping ZHANG Yang ZHANG Yu 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,1:1
Ray tracing of turning wave in elliptically anisotropic media with an irregular surface显示文摘Seismic ray tracing in anisotropic media with irregular surface is crucial for the exploration of the fine crustal structure. Elliptically anisotropic medium is the type of anisotropic media with only four independent elastic parameters. Usually, this medium can be described by only the vertical phase velocity and the horizontal phase velocity for seismic wave propagation. Model parameterization in this study is described by flexible triangular grids, which is beneficial for the description of irregular surface with high degree of approximation. Both the vertical and horizontal phase velocities are defined in the triangular grids, respectively, which are used for the description of phase velocity distribution everywhere in the model by linear interpolation. We develop a shooting ray tracing method of turning wave in the elliptically anisotropic media with irregular surface. Runge-Kutta method is applied to solve the partial differential equation of seismic ray in elliptically anisotropic media. Linearly modified method is used for adjusting emergent phase angles in the shooting scheme. Numerical tests demonstrate that ray paths coincide well with analytical trajectories in transversely homogeneous elliptically anisotropic media. Seismic ray tracing results in transversely inhomogeneous elliptically anisotropic media demonstrate that our method is effective for further first-arrival tomography in elliptically anisotropic media with an irregular surface.Minghui Zhang Tao Xu Zhiming Bai Youshan Liu Jue Hou Guiping Yu 2017Earthquake Science2017,30,5:1

Assessment of prediction model of the CPUE of neon flying squid with different sources of remote sensing data显示文摘Accurately building the relationship between the oceanographic environment and the distribution of neon flying squid(Ommastrephes bartramii)is very important to understand the potential habitat pattern of O.bartramii.However,when building the prediction model of O.bartramii with traditional oceanographic variables(e.g.,chlorophyll a concentration(Chl a)and sea surface temperature(SST))from space-borne observations, part of the important spectrum characteristics of the oceanic surface could be masked by using the satellite data products directly. In this study, the neglected remote sensing information(i.e.,spectral remote sensing reflectance(Rrs)and brightness temperature(BT))is firstly incorporated to build the prediction model of catch per unit effort(CPUE)of O.bartramii from July to December during 2014–2018 in the Northwest Pacific Ocean. Results show that both the conventional oceanographic variables and the neglected remote sensing data are suitable for building the prediction model, whereas the overall root mean square error(RMSE)of the predicted CPUE of O.bartramii with the former is typically less accurate than that with the latter.Hence, the Rrs and BT could be a more suitable data source than the Chl a and SST to predict the distribution of O.bartramii, highlighting that the potential value of the neglected variables in understanding the habitat suitability of O.bartramii.Liang Chang Yanli Yang Xinjun Chen Wei Yu Yangdong Li Guiping Feng Yang Zhang 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,6:0
Analysis and control optimization of positive pressure fluctuation in electromechanical oxygen regulator显示文摘The Electromechanical Oxygen Regulator(EMOR)is a new type of aviator oxygen equipment.Positive pressure refers to the pressure difference between the breath pressure and the ambient pressure during pressurized oxygen supply. The phenomenon of positive pressure fluctuation was believed to reduce the system performance. The current open-loop control method cannot solve this problem. In this paper, the mathematical model was established and main factors were analyzed.By combining experimental research and simulation calculation,it was determined that pressure fluctuation was caused by inlet pressure and diaphragm deformation together. With the increase of pulmonary ventilation volume, the influence of inlet pressure on fluctuation decreases gradually, while the proportion of diaphragm deformation increases rapidly.A closed-loop control strategy of Proportional Resonant with Feedforward Compensation(PRFC)was proposed to solve the problem and control parameters were obtained through co-simulation.The effectiveness of the control strategy was verified by experiments. The results show that the control strategy can enhance the anti-disturbance ability of the system and significantly reduce the pressure fluctuation range, which is beneficial to improving the overall system performance.Rui PAN Guiping LIN Zhigao SHI Yu ZENG Xue YANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5:0
High-resolution genetic mapping and identification of candidate genes for the wheat stem rust resistance gene Sr8155B1显示文摘Stem rust, caused by Puccinia graminis f.sp.tritici(Pgt),threatens global wheat production.Development of cultivars with increased resistance to stem rust by identification, mapping, and deployment of resistance genes is the best strategy for controlling the disease. In this study,we performed fine mapping and characterization of the all-stage stem rust resistance(Sr)gene Sr8155B1 from the durum wheat line 8155-B1.In seedling tests of biparental populations,Sr8155B1 was effective against six Chinese Pgt races tested. In a segregating population of 5060 gametes,Sr8155B1 was mapped to a 0.06-cM region flanked by markers Pku2772 and Pku43365,corresponding to 1.5-and 2.7-Mb regions in the Svevo and Chinese Spring reference genomes. Both regions include several typical nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat(NLR)and protein kinase genes that represent candidate genes.Among them, three NLR genes and three receptor-like protein kinases were highly polymorphic between the parental lines and their transcripts were upregulated in the homozygous resistant line TdR2 relative to its susceptible sister line TdS4.Four markers(Pku2772,Pku43365,Pku2950,and Pku3721)developed in this study, together with seedling resistance responses, correctly predicted Sr8155B1 absence or presence in 78 tetraploid wheat genotypes tested. The presence of Sr8155B1 in tetraploid wheat accessions CItr 14916,PI 197492,and PI 197493 was confirmed by mapping in three F_(2)populations.The genetic map and linked markers developed in this study may accelerate the deployment of Sr8155B1-mediated resistance in wheat breeding programs.Jian Wang Hongyu Li Tao Shen Shikai Lyu Shams ur Rehman Hongna Li Guiping Wang Binyang Xu Qing Wang Wanyi Hu Kairong Li Shengsheng Bai Jian Ma Haitao Yu Matthew N.Rouse Shisheng Chen 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,6:0
A metallogenic model for the supergiant gold system in Jiaodong province:Constraints from crustal velocity structure显示文摘We investigate the role of crustal architectures playing in controlling the genesis and nature of supergiant Jiaodong orogenic gold system via seismic imaging. We deployed an NWW-SEE-trending broadband seismic linear array traversing the province to construct a shear wave velocity(V_S)transect based on ambient noise tomography. Our crustal V_S transect reveals a prominent low velocity zone(LVZ)at 12–20 km depths across the whole province and high V_S anomalies at 8–12 km depths underneath the western part that hosts most of the ore tonnage. We interpret the former as a hydrothermal alteration zone related to mineralization and the latter as a crustal component containing large amounts of mafic rocks(e.g.,amphibolites).In addition,a listric fault system and a strike-slip fault system are imaged in the western and eastern parts of the province, respectively.Combining features of crustal velocities with regional geological observations that ores are tempo-spatially associated with mafic dikes,we propose a model of gold metallogenic processes. In this model, ponding and degassing of the mafic magmas led to the formation of a hydrothermal alteration LVZ in the middle crust prior to mineralization.Later, auriferous fluid was released from this intra-crustal hydrothermal alteration zone as it was heated by upwelling asthenosphere. The ore fluid ascending along the listric fault system possibly leached extra gold from the upper-crustal amphibolites. Then, the gold-rich fluid migrated up along different fault systems, leading to the disseminated-veinlet mineralization with great gold endowment in the western listric fault system and the quartz-vein type mineralization with relatively small ore tonnage in the eastern strike-slip fault system.Jue HOU Tao XU Yinshuang AI Guiping YU Yingjie YANG Bo XU Qingfei WANG 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,12:0
Exhaled breath diagnostics of lung and gastric cancers in China using nanosensors显示文摘Dear Editor,Breath analysis is a promising diagnostic approach for various conditions[1,2].It is based on the identification of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)emitted in the breath, which creates a unique volatolomic signature[3].Owing to their characteristics,VOCs can be measured non-intrusively from the breath or other body sources[3,4].Several studies have shown the diagnostic potential for a variety of conditions based on VOC analysis[5-9].Malignant diseases, where early detection is crucial, are the main focus of VOC analysis, with lung cancer(LC)and gastric cancer(GC)being the most studied.LC and GC together were responsible for approximately 2.5 million deaths globally in 2018[10].The aim of VOC analysis of the breath using sensors is to identify a“VOC-print”comprising the total abundances and ratios of the compounds in the breath, giving an overall unique chemical pattern[11].Alaa Gharra Yoav Y.Broza Guiping Yu Weidong Mao Dong Shen Lichun Deng Chun Wu Qiong Wang Xia Sun Jianming Huang Zhuoqi Xuan Bing Huang Song Wu Yana Milyutin Viki Kloper-Weidenfeld Hossam Haick 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,6:0
