| 2 | TIO: A VLC-Enabled Hybrid Data Center Network Architecture显示文摘To satisfy the ever-increasing bandwidth demand of modern data centers, researchers have proposed hybrid Data Center Networks(DCNs), which employ high-bandwidth Optical Circuit Switches(OCSs) to compensate for Electrical Packet Switches(EPS). Existing designs, such as Helios and c-Through, mainly focus on reconfiguring optical devices to meet the estimated traffic requirements. However, these designs face two major challenges in their OCS-based networks, namely, the complex control mechanism and cabling problems. To solve these challenges, we propose TIO, a hybrid DCN that employs Visible Light Communication(VLC) instead of wired OCS design to connect racks. TIO integrates the wireless VLC-based Jellyfish and wired EPS-based Fat Tree seamlessly and combines the opposite and complementary characteristics, including wireless VLC direct connection and wired electrical packet switching, random graph, and Clos topology properties. To further exploit the merits of TIO, we design a hybrid routing scheme and congestion-aware flow scheduling method. | 3 | Kinematics Analysis of Motion Simulation Subsystem for Unmanned Vehicle显示文摘Unmanned vehicle has attracted wide attention and interests throughout the world since it first deputed in the 1960s. However, the experimental methods for unmanned vehicle's intelligent behavior, such as semi-physical simulation and motion subsystem, have not been widely explored. First, the requirements of the motion subsystem in unmanned vehicle semi-physical facility are analyzed, and a six DOF parallel manipulator is selected to reproduce the pose of the vehicle. The link lengths of the motion subsystem are worked out under the given rotational angles of the vehicle. According to the geometric properties of tetrahedron, three joint positions of the top platform are determined, and the rest are obtained from the first three position vectors. Six constraint equations are set up based on the vertices on the top platform and the link lengths. In order to solve the six angle variables, a numerical algorithm built on the Newton-Raphson iterative method is presented, which is based on Taylor series expansion of six constraint equations. The pose of the top platform is ultimately calculated. The eigenvalues of the top platform are solved to obtain the natural frequencies of the motion subsystem. The coordinates of six joint centers on the top platform and six constraint equations can be realized by simple algebraic manipulation, which allows significant abbreviation in the formulation and provides a systematic way of obtaining the kinematic solution of the parallel manipulator. A numerical example is given and its efficacy is demonstrated by the inverse kinematics. | 5 | Wind erosion from crusted playa surfaces by no saltation and with saltation:A comparison through laboratory wind tunnel experiments显示文摘Playas are common in many arid regions and recognized as a major source of hypersaline particles.A better understanding of wind erosion on crusted playas has significant implications for land management and pollution control practices.We hypothesized that wind erosion rates of crusted playas were complicated and controlled by the interactions between playa crust and wind-induced saltation conditions.However,comparisons regarding the effects of different playa crusts on wind erosion under no saltation(NS)and with saltation(WS)conditions were lacking.In this study,laboratory wind tunnel experiments were carried out to simulate both NS and WS conditions,to investigate the erosion rates of different crust types(Salt,Takyr,and Puffic crust)at different wind speeds.Results showed that:1)Salt crust had greater crust strengths than did Takyr crust and Puffic crust;2)wind erosion rates under the WS condition were up to 60 times greater than those under the NS condition,suggesting that sand bombardment was the dominant mechanism responsible for removal of fine material from crusted playa surfaces;3)both sand bombardment rate and wind erosion rate of the playa crusts increased with increasing wind speed under the WS conditions;4)Puffic crust exhibited a greater rate of wind erosion compared to both the Takyr and Salt crusts under the Ns condition,yet tended to have a lower rate of wind erosion compared to both the Takyr and Salt crusts under the WS condition.This difference can be attributed to the fact that soft Puffic crusts are pliable and can dissipate the force of impacting grains under the Ws conditions.Our results indicated that wind erosion processes on crusted playas are complicated and are affected by wind-induced saltation and crust type,specifically crust strength and elasticityofthesurface. | Guoming Zhang Li Li Wenjian Tang Lianyou Liu Peijun Shi Xujiao Han jiadong Dai | 2023 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2023,11,3: | 0 |
