| 1 | Peroxymonosulfate assisted mechanochemical method for the degradation of phenanthrene in contaminated soils显示文摘In recent years,mechanochemical method has received attention in the field of degrading pollutants,especially for persistent organic pollutants.In this study,peroxymonosulfate(PMS)as a co-grinding reagent,coupled with contaminated soil were placed in a ball mill for mechanochemical reaction.Through investigating the influences of ball-milling parameters on the degradation efficiency,the reaction conditions were optimized.Under the optimal condition(mass ratio of soil to oxidant is 10:1,mass ratio of ball to material is 30:1,rotation speed of ball mill is 400 rpm),more than 98%phenanthrene(PHE)in contaminated soil could be degraded within 4 h.Meanwhile,the effects of soil organic matter content and soil type on the degradation efficiency were investigated.The results showed that the organic matter content was negatively correlated with the degradation efficiency.XPS analysis provided evidence for the breakage of the CeC bond and confirmed that Fe in soil was an important factor in activating PMS.XRD further verified the destruction of PHE structure.GC-MS analysis was performed to identify the intermediates and possible pathways were proposed. | Guoxuan Fan Xitao Liu Chunye Lin Peizhong Li | 2018 | Emerging Contaminants2018,4,1: | 4 |
| 2 | Paleogene marine deposition records of rifting and breakup of the South China Sea:An overview显示文摘A compilation of available marine deposition data from offshore S-SE China reveals evidence of rifting and breakup of the South China Sea(SCS) during the Paleogene. Marine deposition started earlier in the Paleocene in the East China Sea(ECS)-Taiwan region before expanding southwestward into the SCS region in the middle Eocene. Our data indicate the existence of an elongated Paleogene China Sea in these areas stretching along the northeasterly structural belts, probably as part of the marginal western paleo-Pacific. The southwestward shift of marine influence in the middle Eocene was responding to a period of intensive rifting and subsidence in the SCS region, while the sea in the ECS-Taiwan region started to shrink and shoal after the late Eocene, likely associated with local breakup and initial spreading in the Taiwan-Taixinan Basin area. | 3 | Effect of rich R-TiO2 on the rate and cycle properties of Li4Ti5O12 as anode for lithium ion batteries显示文摘Li4Ti5012 (LTO) with rich R-TiO2 (17.06, 23.69, and 34.42 wt%), namely, R-TiO2@Li4Ti5O12 composites, were synthesized using the hydrothermal method and tetrabutyl titanate (TBT) as the precursor. Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction (XRD) results show that the proportion of Li occupying 16d sites is extraordinary low and the lattice constants of LTO and R-TiO2 change with the ritanium dioxide content. EIS measurements showed that with in creasing R-TiO2 content, both its charge transfer impedance (Rct) and lithium ion diffusion coefficient (DLi) decreased. The changes of Rct and DLi caused by the increase of titanium dioxide content have synergic-antagonistic effects on the rate and cycle properties of Li4Ti5012. The rate performance is positively related to DLi, while the cycle property is negatively correlated with Rct, indicati ng that the rate performs nee is mainly related to DLi, while Rct more significantly affects the cycle performance. | 4 | Palynomorphs in the first paleosol layer in the Yangtze Delta and their paleoenvi-ronmental implication显示文摘The relatively abundant palynomorphs were recovered from the samples of the first paleosol layer of core CY in Shanghai for the first time. A total of 55 genera and families of spore, pollen and phytoplankton were identified. According to the characteristics of the palynological assemblages, the depositional conditions in the development period of the paleosols were discussed and the microfossil evidence to study the origin of the paleosols in the Yangtze Delta area was provided as well. The research results show that paleosols should be freshwater deposits. The palynological assemblage sequence in the first paleosol layer reveals fluctuations of freshwater palynomorphs, mainly Concentricystis, and terricolous herbs pollen, reflecting the alternations of deposition and exposure in the development period of the paleosols. Concentricystis developed prosperously in the period of flood, while terricolous herbs grew on the emerged land in the period of exposure. | 17 | Propagation of guided waves in a bonded plate:Antiplane shear modes显示文摘The displacement and stress as well as the dispersion equation for the guided waves of antiplane shear (SH) modes in a bonded plate are presented explicitly. The spring model is used to account for the interface rigidity between the layers of the bonded plate. It is found that the dispersion equation is composed of the terms pertinent with the welded and the cracked or slip boundary conditions with the compliance sT of the spring model as the sum-coefficients. Numerical results for an adhesive plate of aluminum and steel whose wave velocities are very close to each other of equal thickness indicate that the modes of odd order are more sensitive than the even ones to the variations of the bond quality, and so are the higher modes than the lower ones for this special layered plate. The phenomena of the cut-off frequency-shift and the phase velocity decrease resulting from the degradation of the bond quality are found to the modes of odd order, which may be used to evaluate the bond states of the adhesive plate. | 18 | A Frequency Tunable Liquid Cavity Bandpass Filter显示文摘A liquid-loaded frequency tunable cavity bandpass filter (BPF) is presented. A dielectric fluidic material, dimethyl silicone oil (DSO) withexcellent thermophysical characteristics (working temperature from −50 ℃ to 180 ℃) and extremely low loss tangent is employed as a dielectric loading.The frequency reconfigurability of the proposed design is realized by altering the liquid level inside the cavity resonator. The filter achieves a widefrequency tuning range as well as a high Q factor. Moreover, this design shows significantly improved environmental suitability in extreme temperaturecases, outperforming the existing microfluidic-based RF devices using water or liquid metals. A four-pole tunable cavity bandpass filter is designed andverified. A cross-coupling structure comprising a metal loop structure is used to introduce transmission zeros in the proposed filter, which enhances theskirt selectivity and out-of-band rejections. We demonstrate that the center frequency of the proposed BPF can be tuned from 4.92 GHz to 6.16 GHz,and the filter achieves a high Q factor between 521 and 1527. | 20 | On the validity of microscopic calculations of double-quantum-dot spin qubits based on Fock-Darwin states显示文摘We consider two typical approximations that are used in the microscopic calculations of double-quantum dot spin qubits, namely,the Heitler-London(HL) and the Hund-Mulliken(HM) approximations, which use linear combinations of Fock-Darwin states to approximate the two-electron states under the double-well confinement potential. We compared these results to a case in which the solution to a one-dimensional Schr ¨odinger equation was exactly known and found that typical microscopic calculations based on Fock-Darwin states substantially underestimate the value of the exchange interaction, which is the key parameter that controls the quantum dot spin qubits. This underestimation originates from the lack of tunneling of Fock-Darwin states, which is accurate only in the case with a single potential well.
