1A LysM Receptor Heteromer Mediates Perception of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Symbiotic Signal in Rice显示文摘Symbiotic microorganisms improve nutrient uptake by plants.To initiate mutualistic symbiosis with arbus-cular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,plants perceive Myc factors,including lipochitooligosaccharides(LCOs)and short-chain chitooligosaccharides(CO4/CO5),secreted by AM fungi.However,the molecular mechanism of Myc factor perception remains elusive.In this study,we identified a heteromer of LysM receptor-like kinases consisting of OsMYR1/OsLYK2 and OsCERK1 that mediates the perception of AM fungi in rice.CO4 directly binds to OsMYR1,promoting the dimerization and phosphorylation of this receptor complex.Compared with control plants,Osmyr1 and Oscerk1 mutant rice plants are less sensitive to Myc factors and show decreased AM colonization.We engineered transgenic rice by expressing chimeric receptors that respectively replaced the ectodomains of OsMYR1 and OsCERK1 with those from the homologous Nod factor receptors MtNFP and MtL YK3 of Medicago truncatula.Transgenic plants displayed increased cal-cium oscillations in response to Nod factors compared with control rice.Our study provides significant mechanistic insights into AM symbiotic signal perception in rice.Expression of chimeric Nod/Myc recep-tors achieves a potentially important step toward generating cereals that host nitrogen-fixing bacteria.Jiangman He Chi Zhang Huiling Dai Huan Liu Xiaowei Zhang Jun Yang Xi Chen Yayun Zhu Dapeng Wang Xiaofeng Qi Weichao Li Zhihui Wang Guoyong An Nan YU Zuhua He Yong-Fei Wang Youli Xiao Peng Zhang Ertao Wang 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,12:9
2Reducing obesity and inflammation in mice with organically-derivatized polyoxovanadate clusters显示文摘Obesity,characterized by the dysregulation of energy balance in adipose tissue and other metabolic organs,is frequently accompanied by chronic low-grade inflammation.As long-acting insulin sensitizers,the organically-derivatized polyoxovanadates(POVs),can extend the dosing interval of antidiabetic drugs from hourly to almost daily.In this work,the protective activity of POVs is investigated by an eight-week in vivo experiment,in which a small amount of POVs was administrated orally to a mouse model of dietinduced obesity every day.The present study shows that administration of POVs significantly decreases the body weight of mice,reduces adipose tissue accumulation,and simultaneously reduces adipose tissue inflammation.In addition,the anti-obesogenic population of i NKT cells is protected potentially by POVs,which subsequently alleviates visceral adipose tissue inflammation in high-fat-diet(HFD)-fed mice against diet-induced obesity.By contrast,the change in body weight after POV treatment is the result of a substantial reduction in fat mass,with no obvious effects on lean body mass.These findings demonstrate that supplementary of POVs would be an effective way to combat obesity and metabolic disorders while lowering metabolic inflammation.Kun Chen Guoyong Dai Shengqiu Liu Yongge Wei 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:2

4Strong internal electric field enhanced polysulfide trapping and ameliorates redox kinetics for lithium-sulfur battery显示文摘The shuttle effect of polysulfides is a major challenge for the commercialization of lithium-sulfur battery.The systematic modification of separators has the potential to solve these problems by enhancing the adsorption and catalytic conversion of polysulfides.Herein,strong internal electric field bismuth oxycarbonate(Bi_(2)O_(2)CO_(3))nanoflowers decorated conductive carbon(DC+BOC)is proposed to be systematically modified on separator.This intermediate layer not only possesses a strong affinity for polysulfides,but also promotes the conversion of polysulfides and induces the formation of a stable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)layer,thereby improving the rate performance and cycling stability of the battery.As expected,the modified membrane achieved a high specific capacity of 713 mA h g^(-1) at 5 C.At 1 C,high reversibility of 719 mA h g^(-1) was achieved after 550 cycles with only 0.044%decay per cycle.More importantly,under the sulfur loading of 5.1 mg cm^(-2),the area specific capacity remained at4.1 mA h cm^(-2) after 200 cycles,and the attenuation rate per cycle was only 0,056%.This work provides a new strategy to overcome the shuttle effect of polysulfide,and shows great potential in the application of high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries.Bin Yang Jinyi Wang Yuheng Qi Daying Guo Xueyu Wang Guoyong Fang Xi’an Chen Shun Wang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:0

6An Energy Efficient MAC Protocol for Linear WSNs显示文摘Wireless sensor networks(WSNs) have been employed as an ideal solution in many applications for data gathering in harsh environment. Energy consumption is a key issue in wireless sensor networks since nodes are often battery operated. Medium access control(MAC) protocol plays an important role in energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks because nodes' access to the shared medium is coordinated by the MAC layer. An energy efficient MAC protocol is designed for data gathering in linear wireless sensor networks. In order to enhance the performance, when a source node transmits data to the sink, proper relay nodes are selected for forwarding data according to the energy consumption factor and residual energy balance factor.
