Cytotoxicity and penetration enhancement activity of essential oils from warming the interior medicinals with hot or warm property in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate on the cytotoxicity and penetration enhancement effect of essential oils(EOs) from warming the interior medicinals(WIM)from Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS: EOs were extracted from WIM of Bichengqie(Litseae Fructus), Dingxiang(Flos Syzygii Aromatici), Huajiao(Pericorpium Zanthoxyli Bungeani), and Xiaohuixiang(Fructus Foeniculi) with warm nature, and Ganjiang(Rhizoma Zingiberis),Gaoliangjiang(Rhizoma Alpinioe Officinari), Rougui(Cortex Cinnamomi Cassioe), and Wuzhuyu(Fructus Evodiae Rutoecorpae) with hot nature; respectively.Their chemical compositions were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The cytotoxicity of the extracted eight EOs on HaCaT cells was measured and compared. Moreover, analyses of cell cycle and cell apoptosis were performed to investigate the cytotoxic mechanism. The transdermal penetration enhancement effects of the extracted eight EOs on ibuprofen were further compared by the modified Franz diffusion cell method.RESULTS: The most abundant constituents in the extracted eight EOs were determined to be monoterpenes, especially oxygen containing monoterpenes. The HaCaT cell cytotoxicity of EOs from WIM with hot nature were significantly(P = 0.020) higher than that with warm nature. Both ginger oil and zanthoxylum oil significantly induced G0/G1 phase arrestment in HaCaT cell cycle. For ginger oil from WIM with hot nature and zanthoxylum oil from WIM with warm nature, the main mechanisms of the cytotoxicity were found to be the induction of cellular necrosis and the cellular apoptosis, respectively. Furthermore, most of the tested EOs showed remarkable penetration enhancement activity on ibuprofen. However, no statistical significance(P =0.18) was found between penetration enhancement activity of EOs from WIM with warm nature and EOs from WIM with hot nature.CONCLUSION: With the enhanced penetration activity, the extracted EOs from the WIM demonstrated their significant effect of the cytotoxicity on the skin cells. | Yao Junhong Jiang Qiudong Cai Hao Zhu Xuemin Ma Min Duan Jinao Dong Jie Chen Jun | 2018 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,2: | 4

A comprehensive review of planning, modeling, optimization, and control of distributed energy systems显示文摘Distributed energy system,a decentralized low-carbon energy system arranged at the customer side,is characterized by multi-energy complementarity,multi-energy flow synergy,multi-process coupling, and multi-temporal scales(n-M characteristics). This review provides a systematic and comprehensive summary and presents the current research on distributed energy systems in three dimensions:system planning and evaluation, modeling and optimization, and operation and control.Under the regional environmental, resource, and policy constraints, planning distributed energy systems should fully integrate technical, economic, environmental, and social factors and consider device characteristics, system architecture, and source-load uncertainties.Further, this review presents four modeling perspectives for optimizing and analyzing distributed energy systems, including energy hub, thermodynamics, heat current, and data-driven.The system’s optimal operation and scheduling strategies, disturbance analysis, and related control methods are also discussed from the power system and thermal system, respectively. In all, more research is required for distributed energy systems based on an integrated energy perspective in optimal system structure, hybrid modeling approaches,data-driven system state estimation,cross-system disturbance spread, and multi-subject interaction control. | Junhong Hao Yongping Yang Chao Xu Xiaoze Du | 2022 | Carbon Neutrality2022,1,1: | 1
Flow field optimization and design for a Spallation Neutron Source target cooling system显示文摘Cooling water is an important part in a Spallation Neutron Source target cooling system, but the unstable vortexes at the exits of the slits between every two tungsten target slices have a negative impact on the stable running of the target system. We apply the field synergy principle for fluid flow to obtain the optimal flow field, which has a uniform velocity distribution without eddy, and then, optimize the geometrical structure of the cooling water flow channel based on the optimal flow field. The results show that when the cooling water flows in the optimized channel, the eddy sizes decrease, the time fluctuations of velocity and pressure almost vanish, and the volume flow rates of the cooling water in each parallel slit are uniform. Therefore, it effectively improves the running stability of the target system with the premise of satisfying the target heat load. | HAO JunHong CHEN Qun XU YunChao LU YouLian JI Quan | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,6: | 1
A Correction Factor-Based General Thermal Resistance Formula for Heat Exchanger Design and Performance Analysis显示文摘Methods for the analysis of heat exchangers with various flow arrangements modeling, design, and performance are essential for heat transfer system modeling and its integration with other energy system models. This paper proposes the use of the linear-transfer law for the heat exchanger design and performance analysis as a function of the thermal resistance related to the ratio of a linear temperature difference to the total heat transfer rate.Additionally,we derived a correction factor that represents the influence of the flow arrangement on the heat transfer performance by the effective thermal conductance,as a function of correction factor, heat transfer coefficient, and surface area.Based on the effective thermal conductance,we propose the hot-end NTU and cold-end NTU for deriving a standardized and general thermal resistance formula for different types of heat exchangers by the combination of the correction factor with linear-transfer law. Moreover, for parallel-flow,cross-flow,and 1-2 Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association(TEMA)E shell-and-tube heat exchangers,we derived and obtained alternative correction factor expressions without introducing any temperatures. Two cases about heat exchanger design and performance analysis show that the calculation processes using the correction factor-based general thermal resistance are straightforward without any iteration and the calculation results are accurate. Finally, the experimental validation shows that the general thermal resistance formula is appropriate for analyzing the heat transfer performance. That is,the correction factor-based general thermal resistance formula provides a standardized model for heat exchanger analysis and heat transfer/integrated energy system modeling using the heat current method. | HAO Junhong CHEN Qun LI Xia ZHAO Tian | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,3: | 1
Macrocrystal Garnet and Its Inclusions in Kimberlite Pipes from the Mengyin Area, Shandong Province, China显示文摘Based on previous studies of kimberlite xenoliths and diamond inclusions in this region, macrocrystal garnet was analyzed with the electric microprobe technique (EPMA). The garnet is collected from the Shengli No.1 kimberlite pipe in the Mengyin area of Shandong Province, China. The results indicate that the garnet contains two kinds of multiphase inclusions: one is K-, B-, and Cl- bearing oxygen-free phase, K- and Cl-bearing oxygen-free phase, and volatile-bearing garnet inclusions (in1 and in3); and the other is chlorite, phlogopite, apatite and calcite (in2). It is suggested that the formation of garnet and its inclusions is associated with strongly reduced mantle fluid. Such a fluid was transformed from ultra-deep high-reduction oxygen-free fluid into low-reduction alkaline fluid, and finally into oxidized fluid with low oxygen fugacity. This result confirms that the Mengyin area underwent metamorphism of slightly active deep fluid, and provides evidence for searching diamond by means of indicative minerals. | WANG Lijuan ZHAO Lei DING Yifei HAO Jinghua LI Youzhi MA Junhong LI Yuanyuan ZHANG Xiaoli | 2010 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2010,84,1: | 0
Rumen-protected lysine supplementation improved amino acid balance, nitrogen utilization and altered hindgut microbiota of dairy cows显示文摘This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary crude protein(CP)and rumen-protected lysine(RPL)supplementation on lactation performance, amino acid(AA)balance, nitrogen(N)utilization and hindgut microbiota in dairy cows.Treatments were in a 2×2 factorial arrangement, and the main effects were CP concentration(16%vs.18%)and RPL supplementation(with or without RPL at40 g/cow per day).Forty cows were randomly allocated to 4 groups:low-CP diet(LP),low-CP diet plus RPL(LPL),high-CP diet(HP),high-CP diet plus RPL(HPL).The experiment was conducted for 8 weeks. Results showed that RPL increased the dry matter intake(P<0.01),milk protein yield(P=0.04)and energy corrected milk(P=0.04),and tended to increase milk fat yield(P=0.06)and fat corrected milk(P=0.05).Cows in the HP group tended to have higher milk urea N(P=0.07).Plasma concentrations of Arg,Ile,Lys,Met,Pro,total essential AA and total nonessential AA were increased by RPL(P<0.05).The total essential AA,total nonessential AA and most AA(except Ile,Phe,Gly and Pro)were increased in the HP group(P<0.05).N excretion was increased in the HP group through an increase in urea N excretion(P<0.01)and an upward trend in plasma urea N(P=0.07).In addition,RPL tended to increase milk protein N secretion(P=0.08),milk N(P=0.07)and microbial protein synthesis(P=0.06),and decreased plasma urea N(P<0.001).In the hindgut, the bacterial community were different between the LP and LPL groups(P<0.01).The probiotic abundances of Christensenellaceae_R-7_group and Acinetobacter were increased by RPL(P=0.03 and 0.03,respectively).The pathogenic abundances of Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1(P<0.001)and Turicibacter(P<0.01)were decreased by RPL.In conclusion, supplementing RPL with low dietary CP could balance AA supply and increase milk protein yield, resulting in an improvement in N utilization efficiency, and altered the composition of the hindgut microbiota to favor the lactation performance of dairy cows. | Xiaoshi Wei Hao Wu Zixiang Wang Jinpeng Zhu Weijie Wang Junhong Wang Chong Wang | 2023 | Animal Nutrition2023,,4: | 0
Numerical wear study of metal-on-ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene-based cervical total disc arthroplasty by coupling finite element analysis and multi-body dynamics显示文摘In this study, the effects of in vivo(head flexion-extension,lateral bending, and axial rotation)and in vitro(ISO 18192-1)working conditions on the wear of ultrahigh mo-lecular weight polyethylene(UHWMPE)-based cervical disc prosthesis were studied via numerical simulation.A finite-element-based wear prediction framework was built by using a sliding distance and contact area dependent Archard wear law. Moreover,a pre-developed cervical spine multi-body dynamics model was incorporated to obtain the in vivo conditions.Contact mechanic analysis stated that in vitro conditions normally led to a higher contact stress and a longer sliding distance, with oval or crossing-path-typed sliding track. In contrast,in vivo conditions led to a curvilinear-typed sliding track. In general, the predicted in vivo wear rate was one order of magnitude smaller than that of in vitro.According to the yearly occurrence of head movement, the estimated total in vivo wear rate was 0.595 mg/annual.While,the wear rate given by the ISO standard test condition was 3.32 mg/annual.There is a significant impact of loading and kinematic condition on the wear of UHMWPE prosthesis. The work conducted in the present study provided a feasible way for quantitatively assessing the wear of joint prosthesis. | Hua Xin Lei Zhang Hao Diao Junhong Jia Zhongmin Jin | 2021 | Biosurface and Biotribology2021,7,4: | 0
