| 1 | Liuwei Dihuang pill suppresses metastasis by regulating the wnt pathway and disrupting β-catenin/T cell factor interactions in a murine model of triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate if the Liuwei Dihuang pill(LWDHP)can inhibit metastasis to the liver and lungs in mice bearing triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),and the molecular mechanism underpinning this action.METHODS:Ninety-nine TNBC bearing-mice were distributed randomly to five groups:control(Con),paclitaxel(PTX),low-dose LWDHP(LLP,2.3 g·kg^-1·d^-1),middle-dose LWDHP(MLP,4.6 g·kg^-1·d^-1)and high-dose LWDHP(HLP,9.2 g·kg^-1·d^-1).The LWDHP were administered(p.o.)to the agonal stage.The morphology of BC cells was observed by hematoxylin&eosin staining.Expression of axin-2,β-catenin,T cell factor(TCF),cyclin-D1 and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)was detected by western blotting or immunofluorescence.β-catenin/TCF-1 interaction was measured using a co-immunoprecipitation assay.RESULTS:After LWDHP treatment,metastasis of BC cells to the lungs and liver was inhibited,expression of axin-2 was increased,expression of TCF-1,β-catenin,cyclin-D1 and VEGF was decreased,andβ-catenin/TCF-1 interaction was disrupted.CONCLUSION:The LWDHP could inhibit metastasis of BC cells to the liver and lungs.The molecular mechanism underlying this action may be regulation of protein expression andβ-catenin/TCF-1 interactions in the Wnt pathway. | Zheng Lixiang Zheng Qing Yu Zhipeng Wang Jian Ren Xiaoying Gong Yan Yang Xue Hunag Ping Weng Meizhi Liu Hongning Liu Haizhou | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,6: | 9 |
| 2 | Catalytic methanation of syngas over Ni-based catalysts with different supports显示文摘Co-precipitation method was selected for the preparation of Ni/Al_2O_3, Ni/ZrO_2 and Ni/CeO_2 catalysts, and their performances in methanation were investigated in this study. The structure and surface properties of these catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, H_2-TPD, TEM and H_2-TPR. The results showed that the catalytic activity at low temperature followed the order: Ni/Al_2O_3>Ni/ZrO_2>Ni/CeO_2. Ni/Al_2O_3 catalyst presented the best catalytic performance with the highest CH_4 selectivity of 94.5%. | 4 | Application of Modified Progressive Hedging for Stochastic Unit Commitment in Electricity-Gas Coupled Systems显示文摘The increasing number of gas-fired units has significantly intensified the coupling between electric and gas power networks.Traditionally,nonlinearity and nonconvexity in gas flow equations,together with renewable-induced stochasticity,resulted in a computationally expensive model for unit commitment in electricity-gas coupled integrated energy systems(IES).To accelerate stochastic day-ahead scheduling,we applied and modified Progressive Hedging(PH),a heuristic approach that can be computed in parallel to yield scenario-independent unit commitment.Through early termination and enumeration techniques,the modified PH algorithm saves considerable com,putational time for certain generation cost settings or when the scale of the IES is large.Moreover,an adapted second-order cone relaxation(SOCR)is utilized to tackle the nonconvex gas flow equation.Case studies were performed on the IEEE 24.bus system/Belgium 20-node gas system and the IEEE 118-bus system/Belgium 20-node gas system.The computational efficiency when employing PH is 188 times that of commercial software,and the algorithm even outperforms Benders Decomposition.At the same time,the gap between the PH algorithm and the benchmark is less than 0.01% in both IES systems,which proves that the solutions produced by PH reach acceptable optimality in this stochastic UC problem. | Haizhou Liu Xinwei Shen Qinglai Guo Hongbin Sun Mohammad Shahidehpour Wenzhi Zhao Xinyi Zhao | 2021 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,4: | 3 |

| 7 | Sample preparation for isotopic determination of boron in clay sediments显示文摘The procedures of sample preparation for isotopic determination of boron in clay sediments is very cumbersome, by far, there haven't been relevant reports on that. In order to establish an effective method for sample preparation, a series of experiments were carried out. In this paper, boron in clay sediments was extracted with HCl solution and purified by two-step ion exchange method. Extracted HCl solution should be adjusted to alkalescency before passing through the Amberlite IRA 743 resin column due to the fact that Amberlite IRA 743 resin absorbs boron only from alkalescent solution. However, a mass of hydroxides of Al and Fe will be precipitated when the extracted HCl solution becomes alkalescent. Hydroxides of Al and Fe have a strong adsorption capacity for boron, which can cause boron isotope fractionation. To treat precipitated hydroxides of Al and Fe, four procedures, namely direct ion exchange (DRIE), decationizing ion exchange (DCIE), once sedimentation ion exchange (OSIE) and repeated sedimentation ion exchange (RSIE) were used and assessed. The influences of the four procedures on separation and extraction and isotopic composition of boron in experimental solutions and clay sediments were also discussed. According to the results, the DRIE, DCIE and OSIE are improper. The result of sample determination indicates that when extracting boron via RSIE, with the increase of precipitation times, there's an obvious decrease in boron content in the precipitated hydroxides while a sharp increase in recovery of boron and it is favorable for weakening the influence of boron isotope fractionation. But the process of RSIE is time consuming and it may introduce boron. | 9 | Microarray gene expression analysis of chemosensitivity for docetaxel,cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil(TPF)combined chemotherapeutic regimen in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To screen out a set of candidate genes which could help to determine whether patients with hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma(HSCC) could benefit from docetaxel, cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil(TPF)induction chemotherapy.Methods: Gene-expression profiles in 12 TPF-sensitive patients were compared to 9 resistant controls by microarray analysis. Subsequently, expression levels of potential biomarkers in chemosensitive cell line Fa Du after TPF treatment were observed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR).Results: Through microarray analysis, 1,579 differentially expressed genes were identified, of which 815 were up-regulated in TPF chemotherapy-responsive tissues whereas 764 were down-regulated. Gene ontology(GO)analysis suggested these genes participating in physiological processes including transcription and its regulation,cellular signal transduction and metabolic process. Additionally, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) database revealed that MAPK and Jat/STAT signaling pathways occupied important roles in TPF chemotherapeutic sensitivity. Moreover, in vitro cell culture experiments revealed the expression alternations of IL-6, MAPK14, JUN, CDK5 and CAMK2 A exposed to TPF treatment by q RT-PCR, whilst providing an insight into the mechanism underlying TPF chemotherapeutic response in HSCC.Conclusions: These results provided a battery of genes related to TPF chemotherapeutic sensitivity and might act as molecular targets in HSCC treatment. | 17 | Synthesis of two new thiazolidines and their hepatoprotective effects显示文摘Two new 2-substituted thiazolidine-4(R)-carboxylic acids (TCAs), 2-glusosaminal-TCA (GlcNH2Cys) and 2-N-acetyl-glucosaminal-TCA (GlcNAcCys), were synthesized. Their protective effects against liver toxicity induced by acetaminophen (APAP) were investigated in a mice model. The results demonstrate that administration of TCAs (i.p., 800 mg/kg) 30 min after APAP challenge efficiently decrease ALT, AST, and LDH levels in liver. GlcNAcCys shows the best protective effects, decreasing ALT, AST and LDH levels to 63%, 18.4% and 37% of the APAP group respectively. Comparison with the control showed that APAP greatly decreases total sulfhydryl (T-SH) levels (43%), non-protein bound sulfhydryl (NP-SH) levels (50%) and total antioxidative capabilities (57%) in the liver 24 hr after challenge. TCAs treatments 30 min after APAP challenge significantly elevate sulfhydryl levels and total antioxidative capabilities. APAP administration also markedly (P<0.05) increases liver lipid peroxidation to 1.65 and 1.17 times that of the control 4 hr and 24 hr after APAP administration respectively. TCAs treatments can inhibit lipid peroxidation as measured by decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) contents in liver. The histopathological results also further confirm the hepatoprotective effects of TCAs.
