| 2 | Surveillance, epidemiology, and pathogen spectrum of hand, foot, and mouth disease in mainland of China from 2008 to 2017显示文摘Hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)was reported in May 2,2008 to be the 38th legally notifiable disease in China's National Notifiable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System.In order to solve the infection,an extensive three-level HFMD surveillance laboratory network was established.In this study,the framework of that network is assessed and the incidence of HFMD in China from 2008 to 2017 is reported using a descriptive epidemiologic method.During these 10 years,a series of techniques have been widely applied in all the network laboratories.Using information and material obtained from the network,a virus bank and database containing 18,238 viruses were established.Nationally,18,184,834 HFMD cases,including 152,436 severe cases and 3633 fatal cases,were reported in mainland of China.The average annual incidence in the population was 133.99/100,000 people,with a maximum incidence of 205.06/100,000 people in 2014.The incidence and mortality rates of HFMD were the highest in children aged 1–2 years.The numbers of reported cases fluctuated,with a high incidence observed every 2 years.An overall increase in the number of reported cases was also observed throughout the study period.Despite this,the incidence of severe cases and the mortality rate have been decreasing.High-risk regions are located in southern,eastern,and central China.Two peaks of HFMD infection cases were observed annually except for Northeast China.Different proportions of enterovirus serotypes were observed during the studied years.The predominant enterovirus varies from year to year,but the disease severity is always closely related to the specific serotype.EV-A71 is the dominant serotype associated with severe and fatal cases,with constituent ratios of 70.03%and 92.23%,respectively.The studied highly sensitive and efficient surveillance network provides information that is critical for prevention and control of the disease.It is extremely necessary and important to continuously conduct extensive virological surveillance for HFMD. | Tianjiao Ji Taoli Han Xiaojuan Tan Shuangli Zhu Dongmei Yan Qian Yang Yang Song Aili Cui Yan Zhang Naiying Mao Songtao Xu Zhen Zhu Dandan Niu Yong Zhang Wenbo Xu | 2019 | Biosafety and Health2019，1，1： | 26 |
| 3 | Shunting branch of portal vein and stent position predict survival after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the effect of the shunting branch of the portal vein(PV)(left or right)and the initial stent position(optimal or suboptimal)of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS).METHODS:We retrospectively reviewed 307 consecu5tive cirrhotic patients who underwent TIPS placement for variceal bleeding from March 2001 to July 2010 at our center.The left PV was used in 221 patients and the right PV in the remaining 86 patients.And,224 and83 patients have optimal stent position and sub-optimal stent positions,respectively.The patients were followed until October 2011 or their death.Hepatic encephalopathy,shunt dysfunction,and survival were evaluated as outcomes.The difference between the groups was compared by Kaplan-Meier analysis.A Cox regression model was employed to evaluate the predictors.RESULTS:Among the patients who underwent TIPS to the left PV,the risk of hepatic encephalopathy(P=0.002)and mortality were lower(P<0.001)compared to those to the right PV.Patients who underwent TIPS with optimal initial stent position had a higher primary patency(P<0.001)and better survival(P=0.006)than those with suboptimal initial stent position.The shunting branch of the portal vein and the initial stent position were independent predictors of hepatic encephalopathy and shunt dysfunction after TIPS,respectively.And,both were independent predictors of survival.CONCLUSION:TIPS placed to the left portal vein with optimal stent position may reduce the risk of hepatic encephalopathy and improve the primary patency rates,thereby prolonging survival. | Ming Bai Chuang-Ye He Xing-Shun Qi Zhan-Xin Yin Jian-Hong Wang Wen-Gang Guo Jing Niu Jie-Lai Xia Zhuo-Li Zhang Andrew C Larson Kai-Chun Wu Dai-Ming Fan Guo-Hong Han | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，3： | 26 |
| 4 | Antimony(V) removal from water by hydrated ferric oxides supported by calcite sand and polymeric anion exchanger显示文摘We fabricated and characterized two hybrid adsorbents originated from hydrated ferric oxides(HFOs) using a polymeric anion exchanger D201 and calcite as host. The resultant adsorbents(denoted as HFO-201 and IOCCS) were employed for Sb(V) removal from water. Increasing solution pH from 3 to 9 apparently weakened Sb(V) removal by both composites, while increasing temperature from 293 to 313 K only improved Sb(V) uptake by IOCCS. HFO-201 exhibited much higher capacity for Sb(V) than for IOCCS in the absence of other anions in solution. Increasing ionic strength from 0.01 to 0.1 mol/L NaNO3would result in a significant drop of the capacity of HFO-201 in the studied pH ranges; however, negligible effect was observed for IOCCS under similar conditions. Similarly, the competing chloride and sulfate pose more negative effect on Sb(V) adsorption by HFO-201 than by IOCCS, and the presence of silicate greatly decreased their adsorption simultaneously, while calcium ions were found to promote the adsorption of both adsorbents. XPS analysis further demonstrated that preferable Sb(V) adsorption by both hybrids was attributed to the inner sphere complexation of Sb(V) and HFO, and Ca(II) induced adsorption enhancement possibly resulted from the formation of HFO-Ca-Sb complexes. | 6 | Risk factors for proton pump inhibitor refractoriness in Chinese patients with non-erosive reflux disease显示文摘AIM:To analyze risk factors for refractoriness to proton pump inhibitors(PPIs) in patients with non-erosive reflux disease(NERD).METHODS:A total of 256 NERD patients treated with the PPI esomeprazole were enrolled.They were classified into symptom-free and residual symptoms groups according to Quality of Life in Reflux and Dyspepsia(QolRad) scale.All subjects completed questionnaires on psychological status(self-rating anxiety scale;selfrating depression scale) and quality of life scale(Short Form 36).Multivariate analysis was used to determine the predictive factors for PPI responses.RESULTS:According to QolRad,97 patients were confirmed to have residual reflux symptoms,and the remaining 159 patients were considered symptom free.There were no significant differences between the two groups in lifestyle factors(smoking and alcohol consumption),age,Helicobacter pylori infection,and hiatal hernia.There were significant differences between the two groups in relation to sex,psychological distress including anxiety and depression,body mass index(BMI),and irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)(P < 0.05).Logistic regression analysis found that BMI < 23,comorbid IBS,anxiety,and depression were major risk factors for PPI resistance.Symptomatic patients had a lower quality of life compared with symptom-free patients.CONCLUSION:Some NERD patients are refractory to PPIs and have lower quality of life.Residual symptoms are associated with psychological distress,intestinal disorders,and low BMI. | Xiao-Ping Niu Bao-Ping Yu Yun-Dong Wang Zhen Han Shao-Fen Liu Chi-Yi He Guo-Zheng Zhang Wan-Chun Wu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013，19，20： | 18 |

| 10 | Understanding primary and secondary sources of ambient oxygenated volatile organic compounds in Shenzhen utilizing photochemical age-based parameterization method显示文摘Oxygenated volatile organic compounds(OVOCs) are key intermediates in the atmospheric photooxidation process. To further study the primary and secondary sources of OVOCs,their ambient levels were monitored using a proton-transfer reaction mass spectrometer(PTR-MS) at an urban site in the Pearl River Delta of China. Continuous monitoring campaigns were conducted in the spring, summer, fall, and winter of 2016. Among the six types of OVOC species, the mean concentrations of methanol were the highest in each season(up to 13–20 ppbv), followed by those of acetone, acetaldehyde and acetic acid(approximately 2–4 ppbv), while those of formic acid and methyl ethyl ketone(MEK) were the lowest(approximately 1–2 ppbv). As observed from a diurnal variation chart, the OVOCs observed in Shenzhen may have been affected by numerous factors such as their primary and secondary sources and photochemical consumption. The photochemical age-based parameterization method was used to apportion the sources of ambient OVOCs. Methanol had significant anthropogenic primary sources but negligible anthropogenic secondary sources during all of the seasons. Acetone, MEK and acetic acid were mostly attributed to anthropogenic primary sources during each season with smaller contributions from anthropogenic secondary sources. | 11 | Genetic Mechanism of Dolomitization in Fengcheng Formation in the Wu-Xia area of Junggar Basin,China显示文摘The dolomitic rocks of the Fengcheng Formation are considered to be formed under special geologic conditions,and are significant hydrocarbon reservoir rocks in the Wu-Xia area in the Junggar Basin.Analyses of petrologic characteristics and stable isotope composition indicate that the dolomitizing host rock is volcanic and the dolomitizing fluids probably consists of brine from shore-shallow lakes with great evaporation and salinity in the Fengcheng Formation,which have formed under arid climatic conditions,as well as residual Mg-rich seawater from the underlying Jiamuhe Formation and Carboniferous.Dust tuff in the area has significant plagioclase content.Anorthite and labradorite hydrolysis by CO2 can be coupled with calcite precipitation.Late Mg-rich brine percolated and replaced calcite formed in the early time,which lead to precipitate dolostones with different occurrences,such as graniphyric,random bedded or lumpy.The diagenetic dolostones with different occurrences resulting from particular formation conditions occurred in different tectonic settings.The dolomitizing fluid has been driven by the thermal convection flow generated by volcanic eruptions.At the same time,the overthrusts of the Wu-Xia growth fault have speeded up the flow of deep Mg-rich water upwards,and induced the water to quickly penetrate and horizontally migrate in the strata.Fracture is the major and the most important reservoir space in dolomitic reservoir of the Fengcheng Formation.Fracture and fault plays a decisive role in controlling the formation of dolostone and the distribution of favorable reservoirs.The deliverability of oil and gas is determined by the development and match relations of dissolved pores and fractures to a certain degree. | ZHU Shifa ZHU Xiaomin NIU Huapeng HAN Xuefang ZHANG Yueqian YOU Xincai | 2012 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012，86，2： | 12 |
| 12 | Landscape of DILI-related adverse drug reaction in China Mainland显示文摘Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is a type of bizarre adverse drug reaction(ADR)damaging liver(L-ADR)which may lead to substantial hospitalizations and mortality.Due to the general low incidence,detection of L-ADR remains an unsolved public health challenge.Therefore,we used the data of 6.673 million of ADR reports from January 1st,2012 to December 31st,2016 in China National ADR Monitoring System to establish a new database of L-ADR reports for future investigation.Results showed that totally 114,357 ADR reports were retrieved by keywords searching of liver-related injuries from the original heterogeneous system.By cleaning and standardizing the data fields by the dictionary of synonyms and English translation,we resulted 94,593 ADR records reported to liver injury and then created a new database ready for computer mining.The reporting status of L-ADR showed a persistent 1.62-fold change over the past five years.The national population-adjusted reporting numbers of L-ADR manifested an upward trend with age increasing and more evident in men.The annual reporting rate of L-ADR in age group over 80 years old strikingly exceeded the annual DILI incidence rate in general population,despite known underreporting situation in spontaneous ADR reporting system.The percentage of herbal and traditional medicines(H/TM)L-ADR reports in the whole number was 4.5%,while 80.60%of the H/TM reports were new findings.There was great geographical disparity of reported agents,i.e.more cardiovascular and antineoplastic agents were reported in higher socio-demographic index(SDI)regions and more antimicrobials,especially antitubercular agents,were reported in lower SDI regions.In conclusion,this study presented a large-scale,unbiased,unified,and computer-minable L-ADR database for further investigation.Age-,sex-and SDI-related risks of L-ADR incidence warrant to emphasize the precise pharmacovigilance policies within China or other regions in the world. | Jiabo Wang Haibo Song Feilin Ge Peng Xiong Jing Jing Tingting He Yuming Guo Zhuo Shi Chao Zhou Zixin Han Yanzhong Han Ming Niu Zhaofang Bai Guangbin Luo Chuanyong Shen Xiaohe Xiao | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022，12，12： | 12 |

| 15 | Identification and Typing of Respiratory Adenoviruses in Guangzhou, Southern China Using a Rapid and Simple Method显示文摘Human adenoviruses (HAdVs), especially HAdV-B3, -E4 and -B7, are associated with Acute Respiratory Disease in Chinese children, and occasionally in adults. In order to establish and document the profiles of the respiratory adenovirus pathogen among children in Guangzhou, Southern China, a rapid, simple and practical method for identification and typing of respiratory adenoviruses was developed and evaluated. One pair of universal PCR primers was designed according to the conserved region of the hexon gene, which can detect not only HAdV-B3, -E4 and -B7, but also HAdV-B14, -F40 and -F41, with a specific 300bp PCR product. Three pairs of type-specific PCR primers were also designed according to the hypervariable regions of the hexon gene to type HAdV-B3, -E4 and -B7 by three independent PCR reactions, making it easy to optimize the PCR conditions. By using this method, one hundred throat swab specimens collected during Oct 2010 to Dec 2011 and suspected of being positive for adenoviral infection were identified and typed for adenoviruses. Of these samples, fifty-five were adenovirus-positive. The most common HAdV type was HAdV-B3, identified in 92.7% of samples, which is not only consistent with the data reported in 2004-2006, but also consistent with the recent report in Hangzhou, eastern China, indicating that HAdV-B3 has been circulating in Guangzhou, and maybe in eastern China, for many years. | 16 | Genetic engineering of T cells with chimeric antigen receptors for hematological malignancy immunotherapy显示文摘The host immune system plays an instrumental role in the surveillance and elimination of tumors by recognizing and destroying cancer cells. In recent decades, studies have mainly focused on adoptive immunotherapy using engineered T cells for the treatment of malignant diseases. Through gene engraftment of the patient's own T cells with chimeric antigen receptor(CAR),they can recognize tumor specific antigens effectively and eradicate selectively targeted cells in an MHC-independent fashion.To date, CAR-T cell therapy has shown great clinical utility in patients with B-cell leukemias. Owing to different CAR designs and tumor complex microenvironments, genetically redirected T cells may generate diverse biological properties and thereby impact their long-term clinical performance and outcome. Meanwhile some unexpected toxicities that result from CAR-T cell application have been examined and limited the curative effects. Diverse important parameters are closely related with adoptively transferred cell behaviors, including CAR-T cells homing, CAR constitutive signaling, T cell differentiation and exhaustion. Thus, understanding CARs molecular design to improve infused cell efficacy and safety is crucial to clinicians and patients who are considering this novel cancer therapeutics. | 17 | Local administration of icariin contributes to peripheral nerve regeneration and functional recovery显示文摘Our previous study showed that systemic administration of the traditional Chinese medicine Epimedium extract promotes peripheral nerve regeneration. Here, we sought to explore the therapeutic effects of local administration of icariin, a major component of Epimedium extract, on peripheral nerve regeneration. A poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) biological conduit sleeve was used to bridge a 5 mm right sciatic nerve defect in rats, and physiological saline, nerve growth factor, icariin suspension, or nerve growth factor-releasing microsphere suspension was injected into the defect. Twelve weeks later, sciatic nerve conduction velocity and the number of myelinated fibers were notably greater in the rats treated with icariin suspension or nerve growth factor-releasing microspheres than those that had received nerve growth factor or physiological saline. The effects of icariin suspension were similar to those of nerve growth factor-releasing microspheres. Barkworth & D.R.Dewey are important intermediates in wheat breeding because of their resistance to major wheat diseases.In this study,we examined the chromosome compositions of five Xiaoyan-series wheat-Th.ponticum partial amphiploids(Xiaoyan 68.Xiaoyan 693,Xiaoyan 784,Xiaoyan 7430,and Xiaoyan 7631) using GISH,multicolor-GISH.and multicolor-FISH.We found several chromosome changes in these lines.For example,wheat chromosomes 1B and 2B were added in Xiaoyan 68 and Xiaoyan 7430,respectively,while wheat chromosome6 B was eliminated from Xiaoyan 693 and Xiaoyan 7631.Chromosome rearrangements were also detected in these amphiploids.including an interspecific translocation involving chromosome 4D and some inlergenomic translocations,such as A-B and A-D translocations,among wheat genomes.Analysis of the Th.ponticum chromosomes in the amphiploids showed that some lines shared the same alien chromosomes.We also evaluated these partial amphiploids for resistance to nine races of stem rust,including TTKSK(commonly known as Ug99).Three lines,Xiaoyan 68,Xiaoyan 784,and Xiaoyan 7430,exhibited excellent resistance to ail nine races,and could therefore be valuable sources of stem rust resistance in wheat breeding. | Qi Zheng Zhenling Lv Zhixia Niu Bin Li Hongwei Li Steven S.Xu Fangpu Han Zhensheng Li | 2014 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2014，41，11： | 9 |

| 20 | Aerodynamic performance enhancement of a flying wing using nanosecond pulsed DBD plasma actuator显示文摘Experimental investigation of aerodynamic control on a 35 swept flying wing by means of nanosecond dielectric barrier discharge(NS-DBD) plasma was carried out at subsonic flow speed of 20–40 m/s, corresponding to Reynolds number of 3.1 · 105–6.2 · 105. In control condition, the plasma actuator was installed symmetrically on the leading edge of the wing. Lift coefficient, drag coefficient, lift-to-drag ratio and pitching moment coefficient were tested with and without control for a range of angles of attack. The tested results indicate that an increase of 14.5% in maximum lift coefficient, a decrease of 34.2% in drag coefficient, an increase of 22.4% in maximum lift-to-drag ratio and an increase of 2 at stall angle of attack could be achieved compared with the baseline case. The effects of pulsed frequency, amplitude and chord Reynolds number were also investigated.And the results revealed that control efficiency demonstrated strong dependence on pulsed frequency.
