Expert consensus on regenerative endodontic procedures显示文摘Regenerative endodontic procedures(REPs)is a biologic-based treatment modality for immature permanent teeth diagnosed with pulp necrosis. The ultimate objective of REPs is to regenerate the pulp-dentin complex, extend the tooth longevity and restore the normal function.Scientific evidence has demonstrated the efficacy of REPs in promotion of root development through case reports, case series, cohort studies, and randomized controlled studies. However, variations in clinical protocols for REPs exist due to the empirical nature of the original protocols and rapid advancements in the research field of regenerative endodontics. The heterogeneity in protocols may cause confusion among dental practitioners, thus guidelines and considerations of REPs should be explicated. This expert consensus mainly discusses the biological foundation, the available clinical protocols and current status of REPs in treating immature teeth with pulp necrosis,as well as the main complications of this treatment, aiming at refining the clinical management of REPs in accordance with the progress of basic researches and clinical studies, suggesting REPs may become a more consistently evidence-based option in dental treatment. | Xi Wei Maobin Yang Lin Yue Dingming Huang Xuedong Zhou Xiaoyan Wang Qi Zhang Lihong Qiu Zhengwei Huang Hanguo Wang Liuyan Meng Hong Li Wenxia Chen Xiaoying Zou Junqi Ling | 2022 | International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,4: | 5

Picea species from humid continental and temperate marine climates perform better in monsoonal areas of middle latitudes of China显示文摘Picea spp.are a prominent component of the boreal, montane, and sub-alpine forests in the Northern Hemisphere, and have substantial economic importance due to their high quality fibre. However, performance and wood properties of the genus have not been systematically evaluated in China. This study aimed to examine genetic variations in growth traits, phenology, and wood properties of 17 Picea species,(three from North America, two from Europe, and 12 from China),in response to specific climate factors using a randomized complete block design in a monsoonal, middle latitude area of China. Results show that all growth traits and wood properties significantly varied among species(P <0.00).Of the 17 species examined,P.abies and P.pungens were the tallest with heights of 2.5 and 1.9 m at 9 years old,respectively,90% and 50% greater than the average heights.Branch length, number, and angles of both P.abies and P.pungens were greater than those of the other species.Heights of P.glauca and P.omorika were20-33% greater than the average.Fast-growing species had high quantities of first lateral branches and large top whorl branch lengths. The taller species exhibited greater tracheid lengths and average tracheid lengths to radial central diameter ratios(TL/R_D2),but smaller cell wall thicknesses to tracheid radial lumen diameter ratios(WT/R_D1),which is favorable for pulp production.Correlation analysis revealed that height and ring width had significant positive correlations with latitude but strongly negative correlations with longitude.Height was positively correlated with average annual rainfalls, but negative correlations with average yearly sunshine.Due to the increased average annual sunshine at the China test site relative to the seed source, species such as P.abies,P.pungens,P.glauca,and P.omorika from wet, humid areas performed better than native species.Considering similar temperatures, precipitation may be the main factor affecting growth, which is beneficial for predicting the extent of spruce expansion. These results should encourage further testing and provide reference information for future exotic species studies in this part of China. | Fangqun Ouyang Jianwei Ma Junchen Wang Lisheng Kong Hanguo Zhang Mulualem Tigabu Junhui Wang | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,4: | 1

Experts consensus on the procedure of dental operative microscope in endodontics and operative dentistry显示文摘The dental operative microscope has been widely employed in the field of dentistry, particularly in endodontics and operative dentistry, resulting in significant advancements in the effectiveness of root canal therapy, endodontic surgery, and dental restoration. However, the improper use of this microscope continues to be common in clinical settings, primarily due to operators’insufficient understanding and proficiency in both the features and established operating procedures of this equipment. In October 2019,Professor Jingping Liang,Vice Chairman of the Society of Cariology and Endodontology,Chinese Stomatological Association, organized a consensus meeting with Chinese experts in endodontics and operative dentistry. The objective of this meeting was to establish a standard operation procedure for the dental operative microscope.Subsequently,a consensus was reached and officially issued.Over the span of about four years, the content of this consensus has been further developed and improved through practical experience. | Bin Liu Xuedong Zhou Lin Yue Benxiang Hou Qing Yu Bing Fan Xi Wei Lihong Qiu Zhengwei Huang Wenwei Xia Zhe Sun Hanguo Wang Liuyan Meng Bin Peng Chen Zhang Shuli Deng Zhaojie Lu Deqin Yang Tiezhou Hou Qianzhou Jiang Xiaoli Xie Xuejun Liu Jiyao Li Zuhua Wang Haipeng Lyu Ming Xue Jiuyu Ge Yi Du Jin Zhao Jingping Liang | 2023 | International Journal of Oral Science2023,15,3: | 0
Expert consensus on odontogenic maxillary sinusitis multi-disciplinary treatment显示文摘Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) is a subtype of maxillary sinusitis (MS). It is actually inflammation of the maxillary sinus that secondary to adjacent infectious maxillary dental lesion. Due to the lack of unique clinical features, OMS is difficult to distinguish from other types of rhinosinusitis. Besides, the characteristic infectious pathogeny of OMS makes it is resistant to conventional therapies of rhinosinusitis. Its current diagnosis and treatment are thus facing great difficulties. The multi-disciplinary cooperation between otolaryngologists and dentists is absolutely urgent to settle these questions and to acquire standardized diagnostic and treatment regimen for OMS. However, this disease has actually received little attention and has been underrepresented by relatively low publication volume and quality. Based on systematically reviewed literature and practical experiences of expert members, our consensus focuses on characteristics, symptoms, classification and diagnosis of OMS, and further put forward multidisciplinary treatment decisions for OMS, as well as the common treatment complications and relative managements. This consensus aims to increase attention to OMS, and optimize the clinical diagnosis and decision-making of OMS, which finally provides evidence-based options for OMS clinical management. | Jiang Lin Chengshuo Wang Xiangdong Wang Faming Chen Wei Zhang Hongchen Sun Fuhua Yan Yaping Pan Dongdong Zhu Qintai Yang Shaohua Ge Yao Sun Kuiji Wang Yuan Zhang Mu Xian Ming Zheng Anchun Mo Xin Xu Hanguo Wang Xuedong Zhou Luo Zhang | 2024 | International Journal of Oral Science2024,16,1: | 0
Preliminary analysis of two NAC transcription factor expression patterns in Larix olgensis显示文摘The NAC transcription factor family is plant-specific with various biological functions. However, there are few studies on the NAC gene involving coniferous species.Bioinformatics research and expression analysis of NAC genes in Larix olgensis can be used to analyse the function of the NAC gene in the future.Screening of excellent genetic materials and molecular breeding have been utilized to cultivate high-quality,stress-resistant larches.According to the transcriptome data for L.olgensis, the genes Uni-gene81490 and Unigene70699 with complete ORFs(open reading frames)were obtained by conserved domain analy-sis and named LoNAC1 and LoNAC2,respectively.The cDNAs of LoNAC1 and LoNAC2 were 1971 bp and 1095 bp in length, encoding 656 and 364 amino acids, respectively. The molecular weights of the proteins encoded by the two genes were predicted to be 72.61 kDa and 41.13 kDa,and subcellular localization analysis indicated that the proteins were concentrated in the nucleus. The results of real-time quantitative PCR analysis showed that at different growth stages and in different tissues of L.olgensis, the relative expression levels of the two NAC genes were highest in the stem, and the expression differences were more obvious in non-lignified tissues. After drought, salt and alkali stress and hormone treatment, expression was induced to different degrees. The expression levels of LoNAC1 and LoNAC2 in semi-lignified L.olgensis were higher than in the other two periods(non-lignified and lignified),and expression levels significantly increased under drought and salt stress.Relative expression levels changed under hormone treatment. It is speculated that these two genes may not only be related to drought and salt stress and secondary growth but may also be induced by hormones such as abscisic acid.Overall,LoNAC1 and LoNAC2 are genetic materials that can be used for molecular breeding of larch. | Qing Cao Peiqi An Sufang Zhang Junhui Wang Hanguo Zhang Lei Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2: | 0
Mining Myb transcription factors related to wood development in Larix olgensis显示文摘Larix olgensis A.Henry is a fast-growing tree used for aff orestation in northeastern China and has great ecological and economic value. For studying developmental genes in the xylem of this species,we investigated the Myb transcription factor family, one of the largest families of transcription factors in plants, which plays an important role in the regulation of lignifi cation in plant secondary walls.By sequencing a L.olgensis cDNA library using the Illumina HiSeq2500 high-throughput sequencing platform,we obtained 58,683 unigene sequences,of which 16,554 unigenes were longer than 1000 bp,accounting for 28.2%of the total database. The alignment of these genes with the GO,COG,KEGG,Swiss-Prot and NR databases resulted in annotated 29,350 unigenes. We obtained a total of 1460 differentially expressed genes,of which 453 were upregulated and 1007 were downregulated at the two developmental stages analyzed. The gene annotations showed a wide range of biological functions and metabolic pathways. The 10 Myb transcription factors that were obtained from the diff erentially expressed genes were analyzed by real-time quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR).The results showed that four Myb transcription factors may be associated with xylem development in L.olgensis.Due to the large genome size of conifers, genomics research on these species has lagged behind that for other plant groups. Our data provide the basis for further studies on xylem development in L.olgensis. | Jiali Zhao Huanhuan Xiong Junhui Wang Hanguo Zhang Lei Zhang | 2020 | Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,6: | 0
