2A win-win technique of stabilizing sand dune and purifying paper mill black-liquor显示文摘The principle and technique were reported here to produce lignin-based sand stabilizing material (LSSM) using extracted lignin from black liquor of straw paper mills. Field tests using LSSM to stabilize and green sand dunes were started in 2002. The field experiment was carried out in August 2005 when the newly formed plant community was 3 years old. The results from the comprehensive field experiment demonstrated that unlike polyvinyl acetate or foamed asphalt commonly used for dune stabilization, LSSM was plant- friendly material and could be used in combination with seeding and planting of desert species. With the help of LSSM, the desert species (i.e., Agriophyllum squarrosum (L.) Moq. and Artemisia desertorum Spreng. etc.) could be used to form community in 2-3 yeas and to stabilize sand dune effectively. The newly formed community was sustainable under an extremely dry climate condition. 4-ree vibration analysis of cracked thin plates by quasi-convex coupled isogeometric-meshfree method显示文摘The free vibration analysis of cracked thin plates via a quasi-convex coupled isogeometric-meshfree method is presented. This formulation employs the consistently coupled isogeometric-meshfree strategy where a mixed basis vector of the convex B-splines is used to impose the consistency conditions throughout the whole problem domain. Meanwhile, the rigid body modes related to the mixed basis vector and reproducing conditions are also discussed. The mixed basis vector simultaneously offers the consistent isogeometric-meshfree coupling in the coupled region and the quasi-convex property for the meshfree shape functions in the meshfree region, which is particularly attractive for the vibration analysis. The quasi-convex meshfree shape functions mimic the isogeometric basis function as well as offer the meshfree nodal arrangement flexibility. Subsequently, this approach is exploited to study the free vibration analysis of cracked plates, in which the plate geometry is exactly represented by the isogeometric basis functions, while the cracks are discretized by meshfree nodes and highly smoothing approximation is invoked in the rest of the problem domain. 5Radiative forcing and temperature response of dust aerosols over East Asia in the latest decade显示文摘A regional climate model,RegCM3,coupled with an online dust module,is used to simulate the radiative forcing(RF) and temperature response of dust aerosols over East Asia in the latest decade(2000-2009).The simulation results show that the geographical and seasonal differences of dust aerosols distribution over East Asia are obvious.There exist two extremes of dust aerosols with column burden(CB) greater than 1,000 mg/m 2 ;one is in the Taklimakan Desert of the Xinjiang Uigur Autonomous Region,China,and the other is in the Badain Jaran Desert of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region,China.The maximum value of CB appears in spring,the secondary maximum in winter,and the minimum in autumn.The RF of dust aerosols has distribution characteristics similar to CB.The regional averaged RF over East Asia at the top of atmosphere(TOARF) is 1.72 W/m2 in spring and 1.17 W/m2 in autumn,and that at the surface(SURRF) is 4.34 W/m2 in spring and 2.33 W/m2 in autumn.The temperature at the surface is decreased by dust aerosols;the regional averaged temperature decrease over East Asia is 0.154 °C in spring and 0.085 °C in autumn.There are different impacts of dust aerosols on air temperature at different heights.The air temperature is decreased by dust aerosols in the lower troposphere,but the extent of the decrease diminishes with increasing height.The air temperature is in fact increased by dust aerosols at the height of 300-400 hPa in spring,which is greatly different from that in autumn.XingTao Su HanJie Wang ZhiBiao Zhang 2012Research in Cold and Arid Regions2012,4,4:3
6Simulation on the spatio-temporal distribution and emission flux of dust aerosol over East Asia in 2000-2009显示文摘A regional climate model (RegCM3), coupled with an online dust module, is used to simulate the spatio-temporal distribution and emission flux of dust aerosol (smaller than 20 μm in diameter) over East Asia in the period from 2000 to 2009. The model performance is firstly evaluated against available observations. Simulation results show that the model can capture the characteristics of spatio-temporal distribution of dust aerosol very well over East Asia. There always exist two extremes of dust aerosol optical depth (AOD) and column burden (CB), one is in the Taklimakan Desert of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, and the other is in the Badain Jaran Desert of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, China. The maximum value of CB appears in spring, secondary maximum in winter and minimum in autumn. To the east of 110°E, dust is transported eastward from a maximum center at a height of 700 hPa over the East Asian continent. Dust emission sources are mainly located in the Taklimakan Desert, Badain Jaran Desert, North Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and Southwest Mongolia. There is also an obvious seasonal variation of dust emission flux (EF). 7Age and metal source of orogenic gold deposits in Southeast Guizhou Province, China: Constraints from Re-Os and He-Ar isotopic evidence显示文摘The orogenic gold deposits in Southeast Guizhou are an important component of the Xuefeng polymetallic ore belt and have significant exploration potential, but geochronology research on these gold deposits is scarce. Therefore, the ore genetic models are poorly constrained and remain unclear. In the present study, two important deposits(Pingqiu and Jinjing) are investigated, including combined Re-Os dating and the He-Ar isotope study of auriferous arsenopyrites. It is found that the arsenopyrites from the Pingqiu gold deposit yielded an isochron age of 400 ± 24 Ma,with an initial ^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratio of 1.24 ± 0.57(MSWD = 0.96). An identical isochron age of 400 ± 11 Ma with an initial ^(187)Os/^(188)Os ratio of 1.55 ± 0.14(MSWD = 0.34) was obtained from the Jinjing deposit. These ages correspond to the regional Caledonian orogeny and are interpreted to represent the age of the main stage ore. Both initial ^(187)Os ratios suggest that the Os was derived from crustal rocks. Combined with previous rare earth element(REE), trace elements, Nd-Sr-S-Pb isotope studies on scheelite, inclusion fluids with other residues of gangue quartz, and sulfides from other gold deposits in the region, it is suggested that the ore metals from Pingqiu and Jinjing were sourced from the Xiajiang Group. The He and Ar isotopes of arsenopyrites are characterized by ~3 He/~4 He ratios ranging from 5.3 × 10^(-4) Ra to 2.5 × 10^(-2) Ra(Ra = 1.4 × 10^(-6), the ~3 He/~4 He ratio of air), 40 Ar=/~4 He ratios from 0.64 × 10^(-2) to 15.39×10^(-2), and ^(40)Ar/^(36)Ar ratios from 633.2 to 6582.0. Those noble gas isotopic compositions of fluid inclusions also support a crustal source origin,evidenced by the Os isotope. 8Late Mesozoic rifting and its deep dynamic mechanisms in the central Sulu orogenic belt: Records from Lingshan Island显示文摘The Lingshan Island scientific drill confirms that two episodes(Laiyang period and Qingshan period) of rifting developed in the central Sulu orogenic belt(SOB) in Late Mesozoic. With a set of methods including fieldwork, drilling, core logging, zircon U-Pb dating and whole rock geochemistry applied, the age, the depositional sequence and the deep dynamic mechanisms of rift evolution were unraveled. The stratigraphic sequence of the Laiyang-Qingshan Groups on Lingshan Island was composed of two different rifting sequences:(1) Laiyang Group(147–125 Ma), which consists of deep-water gravity flow deposits with interlayers of intermediate volcanic rocks;and(2) Lower Qingshan Group(125–119 Ma), which unconformably overlies the former sequence and contains subaerial volcanic deposits and terrestrial deposits. The tectonic environment changed during the evolution of these two episodes of rifting: the rift was in a NNW-SSE extensional environment in the Laiyang period and showed the typical passive rifting character that “lithospheric extension and rifting preceded volcanism”. The passive rifting period was ended by a short WNW-ESE compression at about 125 Ma. After that, the tectonic environment transferred to a strong NW-SE extensional environment and the rifting evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period. The igneous rocks are shoshonitic to high-K calc-alkaline trachyandesites to trachytes with a few intercalated lamprophyres and a rhyolite.The geochemical characteristics of the igneous rocks indicate that they are mantle-derived melts with a metasomatized mantle source and/or crustal contamination. In addition, an increased thinning of the lithosphere happened during the rifting episodes.The low-angle subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in the Jurassic weakened the thickened SOB lithospheric mantle. The rollback of the subducting plate started in late Jurassic to early Cretaceous, and the SOB lithospheric mantle was delaminated synchronously because of the gravity collapse. Thus, this caused passive rifting in the Laiyang period. Thereafter, the rollback and trench retreat of the high-angle subducting Paleo-Pacific plate would have achieved its climax, resulting in the strong regional extension. Passive rifting was ended by the crustal uplift caused by asthenospheric upwelling beneath the rift. The lower crust was heated by the upwelling asthenosphere and partially melted to form felsic melts, which were emplaced upwards and erupted explosively. The rift evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period and showed some characteristics of active rifting. Above all, a passive rifting in the Laiyang period and a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period developed successively in the Lingshan Island area(the central SOB). This records the transfer of the study area from the Paleo-Tethys tectonic domain to the circum-Pacific tectonic domain. The delamination of SOB lithospheric mantle and the upwelling of asthenospheric material were the deep dynamic mechanisms driving the development and evolution of two rift episodes. 9Immune fluorescence test strips based on quantum dots for rapid and quantitative detection of carcino-embryonic antigen显示文摘At present,many researchers focused on the point-of-care testing(POCT),a method of disease markers detection without large-scale instruments and specialized persons.However,most POCT diagnostic methods were suffered from poor detection sensitivity or inefficiency in quantitative detection.Herein,we developed a newly QD-immune fluorescence test strips(QD-IFTS) based on quantum dots(QDs) as the fluorescence nanocarrier to prepare the immune fluorescence probes in the classical immunochromatography detection system for sensing carcino-embryonic antigen(CEA),a kind of glycoprotein produced by intestinal tissue and a broad spectrum of tumor marker for cancer diagnosis.And we designed a homemade strips fluorescence reader for detection of fluorescence intensity of QDs on the QD-IFTS.Under the optimized reaction conditions,chromatographic time of the newly QD-IFTS was only25 min,sample volume of the newly QD-IFTS was only 40 m L and the LOD of the newly QD-IFTS was 0.72 ng/m L.In addition,the efficiency and robustness of the newly QD-IFTS were confirmed by successfully application in 300 clinical serum samples,and the results revealed great potential in clinical POCT of other biomarkers.Yudong Wu Weipan Peng Qian Zhao Jiafang Piao Bo Zhang Xiaoli Wu Hanjie Wang Zhihong Shi Xiaoqun Gong Jin Chang 2017Chinese Chemical Letters2017,28,9:3
10A strain smoothing formulation for NURBS-based isogeometric finite element analysis显示文摘A strain smoothing formulation for NURBS (non-uniform rational B-splines) based isogeometric finite element analysis is presented. This approach is formulated within the framework of assumed strain methods and strain smoothing operations. The strain smoothing is defined through strain averaging in the element sub-domains which are subsequently used for numerical integration of the Galerkin weak form. This formulation satisfies the orthogonality condition of the assumed strain methods. Meanwhile the present formulation totally avoids the gradient computation of the rational NURBS basis functions in the formulation of stiffness matrix. A transformation method is employed to accurately enforce the displacement boundary conditions. 11Evidence for charge and spin density waves in single crystals of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7) and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)显示文摘Charge and spin orders are intimately related to superconductivity in copper oxide superconductors.Elucidation of the competing orders in various nickel oxide compounds is crucial,given the fact that superconductivity has been discovered in Nd_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)NiO_(2)films.Herein,we report structural,electronic transport,magnetic,and thermodynamic characterizations of single crystals of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6).La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)is metallic with mixed Ni^(2+)and Ni^(3+)valent states.Resistivity measurements yield two transition-like kinks at~110 and 153 K.The kink at 153 K is further revealed from magnetization and specific heat measurements,indicative of the formation of charge and spin density waves.La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)single crystals obtained from the topochemical reduction of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)are insulating and show an anomaly at~176 K on magnetic susceptibility.The transition-like behaviors of La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(7)and La_(3)Ni_(2)O_(6)are analogous to those observed in La_(4)Ni_(3)O_(10) and La_(4)Ni_(3)O_(8),suggesting that charge and spin density waves are a common feature in the ternary La-Ni-O system with mixed-valent states of nickel.Zengjia Liu Hualei Sun Mengwu Huo Xiaoyan Ma Yi Ji Enkui Yi Lisi Li Hui Liu Jia Yu Ziyou Zhang Zhiqiang Chen Feixiang Liang Hongliang Dong Hanjie Guo Dingyong Zhong Bing Shen Shiliang Li Meng Wang 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,1:2
12A micro-nano optogenetic system based on probiotics for in situ host metabolism regulation显示文摘Genetically engineered bacteria have aroused attention as micro-nano drug delivery systems in situ.However,conventional designs of engineered bacteria usually function constantly or autonomously,which might be non-specific or imprecise.Therefore,designing and optimizing in situ control strategy are important methodological progress for therapeutic researches of intestinal engineered bacteria.Here,a micro-nano optogenetic system based on probiotic was developed combining microelectronics,nanotechnology,and synthetic biology to achieve in situ controllable drug delivery.Firstly,optogenetic engineered Lactococcus lactis was orally administrated in the intestinal tract.A wearable optical device was designed to control optical signals remotely.Then,L.lactis could be customized to secrete peptides according to optical signals.As an example,optogenetic L.lactis system can be constructed to secrete glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)under the control of the wearable optical device to regulate metabolism.To improve the half-life of GLP-1 in vivo,Fc-domain fused GLP-1 was optimally used.Using this strategy,blood glucose,weight,and other features were well controlled in rats and mice models.Furthermore,upconversion microcapsules were introduced to increase the excitation wavelength of the optogenetic system for better penetrability.This strategy has biomedical potential to expand the toolbox for intestinal engineered bacteria.Xinyu Zhang Ning Ma Wei Ling Gaoju Pang Tao Sun Jing Liu Huizhuo Pan Meihui Cui Chunli Han Chun Yang Jin Chang Xian Huang Hanjie Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:2

17The evolution of the Kuroshio Current over the last 5 million years since the Pliocene: Evidence from planktonic foraminiferal faunas显示文摘Meridional heat transport of the western Pacific boundary current(the Kuroshio Current)is one of the key factors in global climate change.This current is important because it controls the temperature gradient between low latitudes and the North Pacific and so significantly influences mid-latitude atmosphere-ocean interactions.Here we reconstruct changes in hydrological conditions within the mid-latitude mainstream of the Kuroshio Current based on faunal analysis of planktonic foraminifera in core DSDP 296 from the Northwest Pacific Ocean.This approach enabled us to deduce evolutionary processes within the Kuroshio Current since the Pliocene.A total of 57 species in the coarser section(>150μm)were identified;results indicate that planktonic foraminiferal faunal evolution has mainly been characterized by three major stages,the first of which comprised mixed-layer warm-water species of Globigerinoides ruber which first appeared between 3.5 and 2.7 Ma and then gradually increased in content.Percentages of another warm-water species of G.conglobatus also gradually increased in number over this interval.Variations in warm-water species indicate a gradual rise in sea surface temperature(SST)and imply initiation of Kuroshio Current impact on the Northwest Pacific Ocean since at least 3.5 Ma.Secondly,over the period between 2.7 and 2.0 Ma,thermocline species of Globigerina calida,Neogloboquadrina humersa,Neogloboquadrina dutertrei,and Pulleniatina obliquiloculata started to appear in the section.This fauna was dominated by G.ruber as well as increasing G.conglobatus contents.These features imply a further rise in SST and its gradually enhanced influence on thermocline water,suggesting strengthening of the Kuroshio Current since 2.7 Ma.Thirdly,between 2.0 Ma and present,increasing contents of thermocline species(i.e.,G.calida,N.dutertrei and P.obliquiloculata)indicate a gradual rise in seawater temperature at this depth and also imply more intensive Kuroshio Current during this period.On the basis of comparative records from cores ODP 806 and DSDP292 from the low latitude Western Pacific,we propose that initiation of the impact of the Kuroshio Current in the Northwest Pacific and it subsequent stepwise intensifications since 3.5 Ma can be closely related to the closure and restriction of the Indonesian and Central American seaways as well as variations in the Western Pacific Warm Pool(WPWP)and equatorial Pacific region.Jia WANG Fengming CHANG Tiegang LI Hanjie SUN Yikun CUI Tianhao LIU 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,11:1

1916S rRNA Cloning and Identification of a Strain Isolated from Intestinal Tract of Rex Rabbit显示文摘This study was conducted to identify bacterial strain He Nan-001 isolated from intestinal tract of healthy rex rabbit.The strain was identified by gram staining,and OD_(600) values at different culture time were measured to develop a bacterial growth curve.The metabolic pathways of the bacterium using sugar in fermentation was identified with biochemical tubes.Total RNA of the strain was extracted,and total cDNA was obtained by Oligo(dT) method.Primers were designed using Primer 5.0 bio-software according to the 16S rRNA sequence published in Gen Bank,through cloning,ligation to vector PMD18T,construction of PMD18T/16S rRNA vector and transformation into DH5α,plasmid was extracted and sequenced,and the sequencing result was compared with sequences in NCBI followed by drawing of phylogenetic tree.The strain was verified to be double-stranded gram-positive cocci,which could ferment glucose,mannose,maltose and sorbitol,producing acids production,but failed to ferment sucrose,serum inulin and β-galactosidase.The phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the isolated bacterium shared the highest homology with an India isolate,and belongs to diplostreptococcus.This study provides significance experimental data and theoretical guidance for further development and utilization of the bacterial strain.Guangjun GUO Yumao WANG Sufang LYU Jing HAN Xinming WU Hanjie ZHANG Qiqi ZOU Qiang FU Zhiqiang SHEN 2016Agricultural Biotechnology2016,5,5:1
