| 2 | Calculating models of mass action concentrations for NaBr(aq), LiNO_3(aq), HNO_3(aq), and KF(aq) binary solutions显示文摘The calculating models of mass action concentrations for electrolyte aqueous solutions NaBr-H2O, LiNO3-H2O, HNO3-H2O, and KF-H2O have been developed at 298.15 K and their molalities ranging from 0.1 mol/kg to saturation according to the ion and molecule coexistence theory as well as mass action law. The calculated mass action concentration is based on pure species as the standard state and the mole fraction as the concentration unit, and the reported activities are usually based on infinite dilution as the standard state and molality as the concentration unit. Hence, the calculated mass action concentration must be transformed to the same standard state and concentration unit. The transformation coefficients between calculated mass action concentrations and reported ac- tivities of the same component fluctuate in a very narrow range. Thus, the transformed mass action concentrations not only agree well with reported activities, but also strictly obey mass action law. The calculated results show that the new developed models can embody the intrinsic structure of investigated four electrolyte aqueous solutions. | 3 | Universal thermodynamic model of calculating the mass action concentrations of omponents in a ternary strong electrolyte aqueous solution and its application in the NaCl-KCl-H_2O system显示文摘A universal thermodynamic model of calculating the mass action concentrations of components in a ternary strong elec-trolyte aqueous solution has been developed based on the ion and molecule coexistence theory,and verified in the NaCl-KCl-H2O ternary system at 298.15 K. To compare the difference of the thermodynamic model in binary and ternary strong electrolyte aqueous solutions,the mass action concentrations of components in the NaCl-H2O binary strong electrolyte aqueous solution were also com-puted at 298.15K. A transformation coefficient was required to compare the calculated mass action concentration and reported activ-ity because they were obtained at different standard states and concentration units. The results show that the transformation coeffi-cients between calculated mass action concentrations and reported activities of the same components change in a very narrow range. The calculated mass action concentrations of components in the NaCl-H2O and NaCl-KCl-H2O systems are in good agreement with the reported activities. | 4 | Late Mesozoic rifting and its deep dynamic mechanisms in the central Sulu orogenic belt: Records from Lingshan Island显示文摘The Lingshan Island scientific drill confirms that two episodes(Laiyang period and Qingshan period) of rifting developed in the central Sulu orogenic belt(SOB) in Late Mesozoic. With a set of methods including fieldwork, drilling, core logging, zircon U-Pb dating and whole rock geochemistry applied, the age, the depositional sequence and the deep dynamic mechanisms of rift evolution were unraveled. The stratigraphic sequence of the Laiyang-Qingshan Groups on Lingshan Island was composed of two different rifting sequences:(1) Laiyang Group(147–125 Ma), which consists of deep-water gravity flow deposits with interlayers of intermediate volcanic rocks;and(2) Lower Qingshan Group(125–119 Ma), which unconformably overlies the former sequence and contains subaerial volcanic deposits and terrestrial deposits. The tectonic environment changed during the evolution of these two episodes of rifting: the rift was in a NNW-SSE extensional environment in the Laiyang period and showed the typical passive rifting character that “lithospheric extension and rifting preceded volcanism”. The passive rifting period was ended by a short WNW-ESE compression at about 125 Ma. After that, the tectonic environment transferred to a strong NW-SE extensional environment and the rifting evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period. The igneous rocks are shoshonitic to high-K calc-alkaline trachyandesites to trachytes with a few intercalated lamprophyres and a rhyolite.The geochemical characteristics of the igneous rocks indicate that they are mantle-derived melts with a metasomatized mantle source and/or crustal contamination. In addition, an increased thinning of the lithosphere happened during the rifting episodes.The low-angle subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in the Jurassic weakened the thickened SOB lithospheric mantle. The rollback of the subducting plate started in late Jurassic to early Cretaceous, and the SOB lithospheric mantle was delaminated synchronously because of the gravity collapse. Thus, this caused passive rifting in the Laiyang period. Thereafter, the rollback and trench retreat of the high-angle subducting Paleo-Pacific plate would have achieved its climax, resulting in the strong regional extension. Passive rifting was ended by the crustal uplift caused by asthenospheric upwelling beneath the rift. The lower crust was heated by the upwelling asthenosphere and partially melted to form felsic melts, which were emplaced upwards and erupted explosively. The rift evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period and showed some characteristics of active rifting. Above all, a passive rifting in the Laiyang period and a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period developed successively in the Lingshan Island area(the central SOB). This records the transfer of the study area from the Paleo-Tethys tectonic domain to the circum-Pacific tectonic domain. The delamination of SOB lithospheric mantle and the upwelling of asthenospheric material were the deep dynamic mechanisms driving the development and evolution of two rift episodes. | 7 | Planting uniformity performance of motor-driven maize precision seeding systems显示文摘Low accuracy planting uniformity affects yield.Seed meter type and forward speed typically interfere with the planting uniformity accuracy of motor-driven seeding systems.Two types of maize precision planters equipped with motor-driven planting systems are investigated in this study to ascertain the rule of planting uniformity in both simulated and field speeds.The simulated speed increases from 5 to 12 km/h at a 1 km/h interval in a laboratory environment.The test results show that the quality of feed index(QTFI)of the two planters decreased by 16.79%and 9.88%.This is primarily attributed to the increase in the miss index(MISS)by 11.62%and 9.70%,respectively.The field speed was set to four levels from 5 to 12 km/h in a field environment.The plant spacing scatter distribution results were analyzed,and the results of the two planters indicated that the average positive difference of the two planters linearly increased with the forward speed,and the negative difference of the two planters did not exhibit a linear correlation.The number of positive moving average points was 2.49 times greater than that of the negative moving average points of the finger pick-up maize precision planter,and 4.49 times in the air-suction maize precision planter.The results indicated that the increase of the positive difference of plant spacing is the major effect factor in the field planting uniformity of the two motor-driven maize precision planters.In addition,the plant spacing corresponded to the distribution frequency of the two planters in field was close to the target seed spacing of 25 cm with a max coefficient of variation(CV)of 21.55%and 20.66%,respectively,and those plant spacing values corresponded to max distribution frequency of the two planters at the four level field speeds were(24.69±0.63)cm and(25.63±0.32)cm,respectively.However,the multiples index(MUL)changed randomly affected by the increasing speed.The research results provide a direction for the optimization design of motor-driven maize precision planters. | Shuo Yang Changyuan Zhai Yuanyuan Gao Hanjie Dou Xueguan Zhao Yakai He Xiu Wang | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,5: | 0 |

| 11 | High-precision double-spike Cd isotopic measurements of seawater by MC-ICP-MS and its application to seawater affected by hydrothermal vent fluids显示文摘Cadmium(Cd)isotopes in seawater have been proven as an important geochemical tool for tracing ocean Cd circulation in the modern ocean.In this study,we evaluated a new method to separate Cd(*60 ng)from seawater using Chelex resin(1.0 g)coupled with AG-MP-1M resin.The results show that the Chelex resin is suffi-cient to remove Cd from Na and Mg matrix with Cd recoveries at 98.3±3.5%(2SD,N=6);while AG-MP-1M resin could separate Cd from the residual Na,Mg,and isobaric inferences.The total Cd recoveries of the method are 96.3±1.5%(2SD;N=4)and the salinity of the samples has no significant impacts on Cd recovery.Cd isotope ratios were measured using a Nu PlasmaⅢMC-ICP-MS and^(111)Cd–^(110)Cd double spike technique.By comparing theδ^(114/110)Cd values(0.00±0.06%)of synthetic seawaters doped with Cd isotope standard(NIST-3108;treated by Chelex+AG-MP-1M resin)and the reference value(-0.00%),no variations were observed.We also analyzed the Cd isotope compositions of three deep seawaters from a column at the Southwest Indian Ocean Ridges(SWIR).Theδ^(114/110)Cd values of the col-umn are decreased from 1.05±0.05%at 3200 m to 0.36±0.05%at 2800 m,differing from reportedδ^(114/110)Cd values of deep seawater in other oceans.Considering the spatial distance between the column and active hydrothermal vents in SWIR(-13 km),we propose that such positiveδ^(114/110)Cd values of deep seawater were likely contaminated by vent fluids,which could provide heavy Cd isotope to deep seawaters.This study demon-strates that Cd isotope is more sufficient to distinguish the impact of plumes on deep seawater. | Chuanwei Zhu Yunzhu Wu Hanjie Wen Guanghai Wu Wenrui Song Yuxu Zhang Bo Zhao | 2023 | Acta Geochimica2023,42,5: | 0 |
| 12 | On-Surface Bottom-Up Construction of COF Nanoshells towards Photocatalytic H_(2)Production显示文摘The rational design of an outer shell is of great significance to promote the photocatalytic efficiency of core-shell structured photocatalysts.Herein,a covalent organic framework(COF)nanoshell was designed and deposited on the cadmium sulfide(CdS)core surface.A typical COF material,TPPA,featuring exceptional stability,was synthesized through interfacial polymerization using 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol(TP)and p-phenylenediamine(PA)as monomers.The nanoshell endows the CdS@TPPA nanosphere with ordered channels for unimpeded light-harvesting and fast diffusion of reactants/products and well-defined modular building blocks for spatially charge separation.Moreover,the heterojunction formed between CdS and TPPA can further facilitate the effective charge separation at the interface via lower exciton binding energy compared with that of pristine TPPA.By modulating the thickness of TPPA nanoshell,the CdS@TPPA nanosphere photocatalyst with the nanoshell thickness of about 8±1 nm exhibits the highest photocatalytic H2 evolution of 194.1μmol h^(-1)(24.3 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),8 mg),which is superior to most of the reported COF-based photocatalysts.The framework nanoshell in this work may stimulate the thinking about how to design advanced shell architecture in the core-shell structured photocatalysts to achieve coordinated charge and molecule transport. | Yao Chen Dong Yang Yuchen Gao Runlai Li Ke An Wenjing Wang Zhanfeng Zhao Xin Xin Hanjie Ren Zhongyi Jiang | 2021 | Research2021,,1: | 0 |
