3Design and in-situ construct BiOI/Bi/TiO_(2)photocatalysts with metal-mediated heterostructures employing oxygen vacancies in TiO_(2)nanosheets显示文摘The conventional p-n heterojunction photocatalysts suffer from the incompatibility between the interfacial charge transfer efficiency and the redox ability of charge carriers.To optimize the interfacial charge transfer of the conventional BiOI/TiO_(2) p-n photocatalyst,we synthesized the BiOI/Bi/TiO_(2) ternary photocatalyst with sandwiched metallic bismuth(Bi~0)by the oxygen-vacancy assisted method.The DFT calculation and structural characterizations confirmed the reaction of the electron-rich oxygen vacancies in the 2D-TiO_(2) nanosheets(TiO_(2)-NS)with the adsorbed BiO~+species.This reaction broke the Bi-O bonds to form Bi^(0) nanoparticles in-situ at the interface but still maintained the p-n heterojunction well.The NO-TPD and XRD analyses for samples correlated the Bi~0 formation with the oxygen vacancy concentrations well.The sandwiched Bi~0 functioned as an electronic transfer mediator like that in the Z-scheme heterostructure.Comparing with 0.20 BiOI/TiO_(2)-NP(NP,Nanoparticles),0.20 BiOI/Bi/TiO_(2)-NS-a(NS,Nanosheet)showed a much improved catalytic performance,i.e.,duplicated apparent quantum yield(AQY)and triplicated reaction rate constant(k).Also,the formation mechanism and the reaction mechanism were investigated in detail.This work provides a new strategy for the improving of the conventional p-n photocatalysts and new insights into the nature of the photocatalysis.Chenchen Zhang Wenbin Chen Dairong Hu Hanjie Xie Yibing Song Binbin Luo Yiwen Fang Wenhua Gao Ziyi Zhong 2022Green Energy & Environment2022,7,4:0
4Revisiting the Seasonal Evolution of the Indian Ocean Dipole from the Perspective of Process-Based Decomposition显示文摘The seasonal phase-locking feature of the Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD)is well documented.However,the seasonality ten-dency of sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTAs)during the development of the IOD has not been widely investigated.The SSTA tendencies over the two centers of the IOD peak in September-October-November are of different monthly amplitudes.The SSTA tendency over the west pole is small before June-July-August but dramatically increases in July-August-September.Meanwhile,the SSTA tendency over the east pole gradually increases before June-July-August and decreases since then.The growth rate attribution of the SSTAs is achieved by examining the roles of radiative and non-radiative air-sea coupled thermodynamic processes through the climate feedback-response analysis method(CFRAM).The CFRAM results indicate that oceanic dynamic processes largely contribute to the total SSTA tendency for initiating and fueling the IOD SSTAs,similar to previous studies.However,these results cannot ex-plain the monthly amplitudes of SSTA tendency.Four negative feedback processes(cloud radiative feedback,atmospheric dynamic processes,surface sensible,and latent heat flux)together play a damping role opposite to the SSTA tendency.Nevertheless,the sea surface temperature-water vapor feedback shows positive feedback.Specifically,variations in SSTAs can change water vapor con-centrations through evaporation,resulting in anomalous longwave radiation that amplifies the initial SSTAs through positive feedback.The effect of water vapor feedback is well in-phase with the monthly amplitudes of SSTA tendency,suggesting that the water vapor feedback might modulate the seasonally dependent SSTA tendency during the development of the IOD.ZHANG Guangli FAN Hanjie HUANG Ke LONG Tong SONG Wei XIE Qiang 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,6:0
5Adsorption experiment of water-soluble rare earth elements in atmospheric depositions and implications for source tracing in South China显示文摘The distribution patterns of rare earth elements(REEs)in fine-grained materials in various depositions were often found to be similar to those of the aeolian sediments deposited in the Loess Plateau in North China and the fine-grained materials were suggested to be derived from wind-blown dust.However,increasing evidence indicated that the REEs in the water-soluble portion of atmospheric depositions also displayed similar patterns to those of aeolian sediments.In this study,water-soluble REEs in three atmospheric depositions collected from different climatic zones in China were adsorbed with two adsorbents with distinct adsorption capacity,glass powder,and co-precipitated iron hydroxide.The results showed that the REEs adsorbed by the two adsorbents displayed patterns similar to those of the original atmospheric depositions.The typical characteristics of the REE patterns of atmospheric deposition can be well reproduced in the adsorbed REEs.The higher the REE concentrations in the atmospheric depositions,or the higher adsorption efficiency of the adsorbents,the better reproducibility of the REEs patterns.The results suggest that the REEs of the fine-grained materials in various sediments,which have a high adsorption capacity,especially those deposited in South China,may come from the water-soluble REEs in atmospheric deposition,and may not be appropriate tracers of wind-blown dust from North China.Xiaojian Mi Yuan Li Yuefeng Liu Yu Xie Hanjie Li Xiaotao Peng Houyun Zhou 2021Acta Geochimica2021,40,2:0
6La_(2)Rh_(3+δ)Sb_(4):a new ternary superconducting rhodium-antimonide显示文摘Rhodium-containing compounds offer a fertile playground to explore novel materials with superconductivity(SC)and other fantastic electronic correlation effects.A new ternary rhodium-antimonide La_(2)Rh_(3)+δSb_(4)(δ≈1/8)has been synthesized by a Bi-flux method.It crystallizes in the orthorhombic La_(2)Rh_(3+δ)Sb_(4)-like structure,with the space group Pnma(No.62).The crystalline structure appears as stacking the two-dimensional RhSb_(4)-and RhSb_(5)-polyhedra networks along b axis,and the La atoms embed in the cavities of these networks.Band structure calculations confirm it as a multi-band metal with a van-Hove singularity like feature at the Fermi level,whose density of states are mainly of Rh-4d and Sb-5p characters.The calculations also imply that the redundant Rh acts as charge dopant.SC is observed in this material with onset transition at Ton c≈0.8 K.Ultra-low temperature magnetic susceptibility and specific heat measurements suggest that it is an s-wave type-II superconductor.Our work may also imply that the broad Ln_(2)Tm_(3+δ)Sb_(4)(Ln=rare earth,Tm=Rh,Ir)family may host new material bases where new superconductors,quantum magnetism and other electronic correlation effects could be found.Kangqiao Cheng Wei Xie Shuo Zou Huanpeng Bu Jin-Ke Bao Zengwei Zhu Hanjie Guo Chao Cao Yongkang Luo 2022Materials Futures2022,1,4:0
