| 1 | Numerical simulation to determine the gas explosion risk in longwall goaf areas:A case study of Xutuan Colliery显示文摘Underground gassy longwall mining goafs may suffer potential gas explosions during the mining process because of the irregularity of gas emissions in the goaf and poor ventilation of the working face,which are risks difficult to control.In this work,the 3235 working face of the Xutuan Colliery in Suzhou City,China,was researched as a case study.The effects of air quantity and gas emission on the three-dimensional distribution of oxygen and methane concentration in the longwall goaf were studied.Based on the revised Coward’s triangle and linear coupling region formula,the coupled methane-oxygen explosive hazard zones(CEHZs)were drawn.Furthermore,a simple practical index was proposed to quantitatively determine the gas explosion risk in the longwall goaf.The results showed that the CEHZs mainly focus on the intake side where the risk of gas explosion is greatest.The CEHZ is reduced with increasing air quantity.Moreover,the higher the gas emission,the larger the CEHZ,which moves towards the intake side at low goaf heights and shifts to the deeper parts of the goaf at high heights.In addition,the risk of gas explosion is reduced as air quantities increase,but when gas emissions increase to a higher level(greater than 50 m3/min),the volume of the CEHZ does not decrease with the increase of air quantity,and the risk of gas explosion no longer shows a linear downward trend.This study is of significance as it seeks to reduce gas explosion accidents and improve mine production safety. | Yunzhuo Li Hetao Su Huaijun Ji Wuyi Cheng | 2020 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6: | 7 |
| 2 | SELF-ADAPTIVE CONTROLS OF A COMPLEX CELLULAR SIGNALING TRANSDUCTION SYSTEM显示文摘In cells, the interactions of distinct signaling transduction pathways originating from cross-talkings between signaling molecules give rise to the formation of signaling transduction networks, which contributes to the changes (emergency) of kinetic behaviors of signaling system compared with single molecule or pathway. Depending on the known experimental data, we have constructed a model for complex cellular signaling transduction system, which is derived from signaling transduction of epidermal growth factor receptor in neuron. By the computational simulating methods, the self-adaptive controls of this system have been investigated. We find that this model exhibits a relatively stable selfadaptive system, especially to over-stimulation of agonist, and the amplitude and duration of signaling intermediates in it could be controlled by multiple self-adaptive effects, such as 'signal scattering', 'positive feedback', 'negative feedback' and 'B-Raf shunt'. | 3 | Effects of Spinach Powder Fat-Soluble Extract on Proliferation of Human Gastric Adenocarcinoma Cells显示文摘Four kinds of assays were used to study the effect of a fat-soluble extract of spinach powder (SPFE) on the proliferation of human gastric adenocareinoma cell line (SGC-7901) in vitro.These studies included: (Ⅰ) cell growth assay, (Ⅱ) colony forming assay, (Ⅲ) MTT colorimetric assay, and (Ⅳ) 3H-TdR incorporation assay. The concentrations of SPFE expressed as the level of β-carotene in the medium were 2×10-8, 2×10-7 and 2×10-6 mol/L β-carotene in assays (Ⅰ)~(Ⅲ), but 4×10- 8, 4×10-7 and 4×10-6 mol/L β-caretene in assay (Ⅳ) respectively. The results indicated that SPFE inhibited the prolifendion and colony forming ability of SGC-7901 cells. And in MTT assay, SPFE inhibited the viability of SGC7901 cells, but no inhibitory effect of SPFE was observed on the viability of lymphocytes in peripheral blood of healthy people. | 9 | Response prediction using the PC-NARX model for SDOF systems with degradation and parametric uncertainties显示文摘Building collapses during recent earthquakes have brought up the need for research on factors pertaining to collapse and the safety of structures.This requires response replication of structures that account for uncertainties from ground motions and structural properties.Structural collapse often implies that the structural system is no longer capable of maintaining its gravity load-carrying capacity,which often points to factors involving strength and stiffness degradation.In this study,the polynomial chaos nonlinear autoregressive with exogenous input form(PC-NARX)model is explored for dynamic response replication of a nonlinear single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF)structure.The generalized hysteretic Bouc-Wen model is applied to emulate stiffness and strength degradation for an SDOF structure close to collapse.A stochastic ground motion model is used to represent the uncertainties in seismic excitation.The PC-NARX model is employed and further evaluated for response replication of an SDOF system with inherent uncertain structural properties.A generic algorithm(GA)is used to select the terms for structural dynamics,and polynomial chaos expansion(PCE)is used to incorporate uncertain parameters into NARX model coefficients.It is demonstrated that the PC-NARX model provides good accuracy to account for both ground motion and structural uncertainties into response replication of SDOF structures with significant strength and stiffness degradation.The PC-NARX model thus presents a promising technique for collapse safety analysis of structures. | Gao Xiaoshu Chen Cheng Hou Hetao Jiao Shenghu | 2022 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2022,21,2: | 0 |
