1Signaling pathways and targeted therapy for myocardial infarction显示文摘Although the treatment of myocardial infarction(MI)has improved considerably,it is still a worldwide disease with high morbidity and high mortality.Whilst there is still a long way to go for discovering ideal treatments,therapeutic strategies committed to cardioprotection and cardiac repair following cardiac ischemia are emerging.Evidence of pathological characteristics in MI illustrates cell signaling pathways that participate in the survival,proliferation,apoptosis,autophagy of cardiomyocytes,endothelial cells,fibroblasts,monocytes,and stem cells.These signaling pathways include the key players in inflammation response,e.g.,NLRP3/caspase-1 and TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB;the crucial mediators in oxidative stress and apoptosis,for instance,Notch,Hippo/YAP,RhoA/ROCK,Nrf2/HO-1,and Sonic hedgehog;the controller of myocardial fibrosis such as TGF-β/SMADs and Wnt/β-catenin;and the main regulator of angiogenesis,PI3K/Akt,MAPK,JAK/STAT,Sonic hedgehog,etc.Since signaling pathways play an important role in administering the process of MI,aiming at targeting these aberrant signaling pathways and improving the pathological manifestations in MI is indispensable and promising.Hence,drug therapy,gene therapy,protein therapy,cell therapy,and exosome therapy have been emerging and are known as novel therapies.In this review,we summarize the therapeutic strategies for MI by regulating these associated pathways,which contribute to inhibiting cardiomyocytes death,attenuating inflammation,enhancing angiogenesis,etc.so as to repair and re-functionalize damaged hearts.Qing Zhang Lu Wang Shiqi Wang Hongxin Cheng Lin Xu Gaiqin Pei Yang Wang Chenying Fu Yangfu Jiang Chengqi He Quan Wei 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:11
2Effect of dissolved oxygen on nitrate removal using polycaprolactone as an organic carbon source and biofilm carrier in fixed-film denitrifying reactors显示文摘Nitrate-nitrogen(NO_3^--N) always accumulates in commercial recirculating aquaculture systems(RASs) with aerobic nitrification units. The ability to reduce NO_3^--N consistently and confidently could help RASs to become more sustainable. The rich dissolved oxygen(DO)content and sensitive organisms stocked in RASs increase the difficulty of denitrifying technology. A denitrifying process using biologically degradable polymers as an organic carbon source and biofilm carrier was proposed because of its space-efficient nature and strong ability to remove NO_3^--N from RASs. The effect of dissolved oxygen(DO) levels on heterotrophic denitrification in fixed-film reactors filled with polycaprolactone(PCL) was explored in the current experiment. DO conditions in the influent of the denitrifying reactors were set up as follows: the anoxic treatment group(Group A, average DO concentration of 0.28 ± 0.05 mg/L), the low-oxygen treatment DO group(Group B, average DO concentration of 2.50 ± 0.24 mg/L) and the aerated treatment group(Group C, average DO concentration of 5.63 ± 0.57 mg/L). Feeding with 200 mg/L of NO_3^--N, the NO_3^--N removal rates were 1.53, 1.60 and 1.42 kg/m3PCL/day in Groups A, B and C, respectively. No significant difference in NO_3^--N removal rates was observed among the three treatments. 5Linear-superelastic Ti-Nb nanocomposite alloys with ultralow modulus via high-throughput phase-field design and machine learning显示文摘The optimal design of shape memory alloys(SMAs)with specific properties is crucial for the innovative application in advanced technologies.Herein,inspired by the recently proposed design concept of concentration modulation,we explore martensitic transformation(MT)in and design the mechanical properties of Ti-Nb nanocomposites by combining high-throughput phase-field simulations and machine learning(ML)approaches.Systematic phase-field simulations generate data of the mechanical properties for various nanocomposites constructed by four macroscopic degrees of freedom.An ML-assisted strategy is adopted to perform multiobjective optimization of the mechanical properties,through which promising nanocomposite configurations are prescreened for the next set of phase-field simulations.The ML-guided simulations discover an optimized nanocomposite,composed of Nb-rich matrix and Nb-lean nanofillers,that exhibits a combination of mechanical properties,including ultralow modulus,linear superelasticity,and near-hysteresis-free in a loading-unloading cycle.The exceptional mechanical properties in the nanocomposite originate from optimized continuous MT rather than a sharp first-order transition,which is common in typical SMAs.This work demonstrates the great potential of ML-guided phase-field simulations in the design of advanced materials with extraordinary properties.Yuquan Zhu Tao Xu Qinghua Wei Jiawei Mai Hongxin Yang Huiran Zhang Takahiro Shimada Takayuki Kitamura Tong-Yi Zhang 2021npj Computational Materials2021,,1:1
6Assessing the active-passive approach at variant incidence angles for microwave brightness temperature downscaling显示文摘The Terrestrial Water Resources Satellite(TWRS)campaign is a planned Chinese candidate satellite mission,and a one-dimensional synthetic aperture technology will be used,resulting in variant incidence angles for collecting synchronous active-passive observations at L-band,which would make brightness temperature(T_(b))downscaling especially challenging when aiming to improve the spatial resolution of soil moisture measurements.In this study,two active-passive T_(b) downscaling algorithms,the time-series regression(TSR)and spectral analysis(SA)algorithms,are assessed comprehensively based on airborne experimental datasets.The results with data collected during the Soil Moisture Experiment 2002(SMEX02)showed that both approaches could provide a reliable downscaled T_(b) at the same incidence angle.Based on the ground and airborne active-passive observations under variant incidence angles from the Soil Moisture Experiment in the Luan River(SMELR)it can be shown that the linear relationship between T_(b) andσis still robust under the case of variant incidence angles,and T_(b)(both h-and v-pol)is better correlated toσvv for most cases thanσhh.Both downscaling approaches can be applied to active-passive observations under varying incidence angles.Moreover,SA method performed better than the TSR method according to the lower RMSE values and higher correlation.Peng Guo Tianjie Zhao Jiancheng Shi Hongxin Xu Xiuwei Li Shengda Niu 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,10:1
7Heterogeneous catalytic ozonation by amorphous boron for degradation of atrazine in water显示文摘As one of the most promising and practical advanced oxidation processes(AOPs),the catalytic ozonation is triggered by the active components of catalyst,which are usually derived from metals or metal oxides.To avoid the metal pollution from catalyst,here the amorphous boron(A-boron)is used as a metalfree catalyst for catalytic ozonation to produce free radicals for effective degradation of atrazine(ATZ),the world-widely used herbicide and also a widespread pollutant in environment.A-boron exhibits an outstanding performance for catalytic ozonation to remove ATZ from water.As A-boron is introduced into ozonation,the degradation efficiency in 10 min is promoted to 97.1%,much higher than that of 15.1%under ozonation.The mechanism is that the B-B bonds and internal suboxide B in A-boron serve as the main active sites to donate electrons to accelerate ozone decomposition to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),including·O_(2)^(-)and^(1)O_(2),and further enhance ATZ degradation via ROS reactions.Moreover,the A-boron is still highly active with a degradation efficiency of ATZ over 95%in 10 min even after four successive cycles.This work shows A-boron could be an alternative for the active components of metal or metal oxide in catalytic ozonation.Zirong Song Jie Li Hongxin Xu Yu Li Yaxiong Zeng Baohong Guan 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:1
8Lithocarpinols A and B,a pair of diastereomeric antineoplastic tenellone derivatives from the deep-sea derived fungus Phomopsis lithocarpus FS508显示文摘Lithocarpinols A(1) and B(2), a pair of tenellone diastereoisomers with novel fused skeleton were isolated from the deep-sea derived fungus Phomopsis lithocarpus FS508. Their structures were elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, X-ray diffraction and quantum molecular calculation. Their plausible biogenetic pathway featured an intriguing carbonyl-ene cyclization. 10Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. 12Influence Factors for Impact Actions and Transient Trajectories of Fan Blades after Fan Blade Out in Typical 2-Shaft High Bypass Ratio Turbofan Engine显示文摘To enhance the understanding of design characters, which have prominent influences during the fan blade out event, a simplified geometrical and dynamic analysis method was derived, and a typical 2-shaft high bypass ratio turbofan engine was selected and modeled. Based on analytical deriving and engineering experience learned from the real engine failure case, three determinative impact actions were recognized from the fan blade out process. The transient trajectories of these impact actions were researched in analytical method, and then thickness of acoustic lining, quantity of fan blades and threshold load of structural fuse were analyzed as key design characters. 36 serialized fan blade out transient dynamic simulations were conducted by using the 2-shaft high bypass ratio turbofan engine model within different combinations of the three key design factors. The results from geometrical and dynamic analysis matched mainly well with the results from simulations. Characteristic phenomenon in simulation can be explained theoretically. Five conclusions can be summarized from these results. (1) If thickness fan acoustic lining was thinner, the deviation between simplified analytical calculation and simulation were not outstanding to predict Blade-Casing the first impact time and angular position. (2) An appropriate thickness of acoustic lining could make a lower impact stress of fan casing at the first impact. (3) Different thickness of acoustic linings leaded to two impact modes for blade 2, which were tip impact and root impact. (4) Different impact conditions between blade 1 and blade 2 caused remarkable speed components distinction of blade 1, and leaded to a wide range of transient trajectory of blade 1 during FBO event. (5) Thicker acoustic lining in this research can usually find the porper threshold loads setting, which can give a satisfactory outbound vibration. 14BIM-based automated design for HVAC system of office buildings-An experimental study显示文摘Although computer technologies have greatly advanced in recent years and help engineers improve work efficiency,the heating,ventilation,and air conditioning(HVAC)design process is still very time-consuming.In this paper,we propose a conceptual framework for automating the entire design process to replace current human-based HVAC design procedures.This framework includes the following automated processes:building information modeling(BIM)simplification,building energy modeling(BEM)generation&load calculation,HVAC system topology generation&equipment sizing,and system diagram generation.In this study,we analyze the importance of each process and possible ways to implement them using software.Then,we use a case study to test the automated design procedure and illustrate the feasibility of the new automated design approach.The purpose of this study is to simplify the steps in the traditional rule-based HVAC system design process by introducing artificial intelligence(Al)technology based on the traditional computer-aided design(CAD)process.Experimental results show that the automatic processes are feasible,compared with the traditional design process can effectively shorten the design time from 23.37 working hours to nearly 1 hour,and improve the efficiency.Hongxin Wang Peng Xu Huajing Sha Jiefan Gu Tong Xiao Yikun Yang Dingyi Zhang 2022Building Simulation2022,15,7:0

16三阴性乳腺癌在新辅助化疗中获得病理完全缓解率的Meta分析(英文)显示文摘Objective:The pathological complete response(pCR) rates of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) was reported higher than that in non-TNBC but ranged from 12% to 48%. pCR was reported to be a predictor of long overall survival and exact pCR rate of NAC in TNBC would give us some hints on how to improve outcomes of TNBC patients. The meta-analysis was conducted to estimate the pCR rate of NAC for TNBC through contrasting the pCR rates of TNBC and non-TNBC tumors in NAC. Methods: Studies were selected from the PubMed database and Cochrane Collaboration Library. pCR rates were collected in groups of TNBC and non-TNBC tumors. Review Manager 4.2 was used to perform forest plots and funnel plots. Results: The analysis included 22 studies with 7168 patients, the aggregate pCR rate was 29.5% in TNBC group, which was 17.7% higher than non-TNBC. The summary relative risk(RR) for pCR rate of TNBC group with that of non-TNBC group was 2.55. No obvious statistical heterogeneity and publication bias was detected. 18An extended binary subband canonical correlation analysis detection algorithm oriented to the radial contraction-expansion motion steady- state visual evoked paradigm显示文摘The radial contraction-expansion motion paradigm is a novel steady-state visual evoked experimental paradigm,and the electroencephalography(EEG)evoked potential is different from the traditional luminance modulation paradigm.The signal energy is concentrated chiefly in the fundamental frequency,while the higher harmonic power is lower.Therefore,the conventional steady-state visual evoked potential recognition algorithms optimizing multiple harmonic response components,such as the extended canonical correlation analysis(eCCA)and task-related component analysis(TRCA)algorithm,have poor recognition performance under the radial contraction-expansion motion paradigm.This paper proposes an extended binary subband canonical correlation analysis(eBSCCA)algorithm for the radial contraction-expansion motion paradigm.For the radial contraction-expansion motion paradigm,binary subband filtering was used to optimize the weighting coefficients of different frequency response signals,thereby improving the recognition performance of EEG signals.The results of offline experiments involving 13 subjects showed that the eBSCCA algorithm exhibits a better performance than the eCCA and TRCA algorithms under the stimulation of the radial contraction-expansion motion paradigm.In the online experiment,the average recognition accuracy of 13 subjects was 88.68%±6.33%,and the average information transmission rate(ITR)was 158.77±43.67 bits/min,which proved that the algorithm had good recognition effect signals evoked by the radial contraction-expansion motion paradigm.Yuxue Zhao Hongxin Zhang Yuanzhen Wang Chenxu Li Ruilin Xu Chen Yang 2022Brain Science Advances2022,8,1:0

20Intrinsic ferroelectrics and carrier doping-induced metallic multiferroics in an atomic wire显示文摘Low-dimensional multiferroic metals characterized by the simultaneous coexistence of ferroelectricity,conductivity,and magnetism hold tremendous potential for scientific and technological endeavors.However,the mutually exclusive mechanisms among these properties impede the discovery of multifunctional conducting multiferroics,especially at the atomic-scale.Here,based on first-principles calculations,we design and demonstrate intrinsic one-dimensional(1D)ferroelectrics and carrier dopinginduced metallic multiferroics in an atomicWOF4 wire.TheWOF4 atomic wire that can be derived from a 1D van derWaals crystal exhibits pronounced ferroelectricity manifested in the form of large cooperative atomic displacements.By performing Monte Carlo simulations with an effective Hamiltonian method,we obtain the nanowire that can sustain a high Curie temperature,indicating its potential for roomtemperature applications.Moreover,doping with electrons is found to induce magnetism and metallic conductivity that coexists with the ferroelectric distortion in the nanowire.These appealing properties in conjunction with the experimental feasibility enable the doped WOF4 nanowire to act as a promising atomic-scale multifunctional material.Tao Xu Jingtong Zhang Chunyu Wang Xiaoyuan Wang Takahiro Shimada Jie Wang Hongxin Yang 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,5:0
