1Double-shell structure of Al_3(Zr,Sc) precipitate induced by thermomechanical treatment of Al-Zr-Sc alloy cable显示文摘A spheroidal Al_3(Zr,Sc) precipitate with a double-shell structure, comprising a Sc-enriched core enveloped by a Zr-enriched inner shell and a Sc-enriched outer shell(~9 nm in thickness), appears in an Al-0.2 Zr-0.1 Sc alloy cable after thermomechanical treatment. The average diameter of the spheroidal Al_3(Zr,Sc) precipitate is approximately 80 nm. The double-shelled Al_3(Zr,Sc) precipitate presents three different interfaces and is semi-coherent with the Al matrix. Atom probe tomography(APT) analyses further show that the outer shell of Al_3(Zr,Sc) precipitate is Sc element enrichment. The electrical conductivity of Al-0.2 Zr-0.1 Sc alloy cable increases by 6.5 MS/m within the aging time from 0.2 to 100 h at 350 ℃, with double-shelled Al_3(Zr,Sc)precipitate.Jiayi Zhang Tao Hu Danqing Yi Hongxuan Wang Bin Wang 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,6:8
2Effects of grain size and secondary phase on corrosion behavior and electrochemical performance of Mg-3Al-5Pb-1Ga-Y sacrificial anode显示文摘Grains with size of 4.5—20.5μm were studied for their corrosion behavior and electrochemical performance in a Mg-3 Al-5 Pb-1 Ga-Y sacrificial anode using immersion testing,electrochemical measurements and microstructure analysis.The results show that fine-grained microstructure has higher chemical activity and more negative discharge potentials than coarse-grained samples.The sample with the smallest average grain size of 4.5μm exhibits corrosion current density of 7.473×10-5 A/cm2,and work potentials of-1.721 V at current density of 10 mA/cm2.The density of grain boundaries and LAGBs increases with grain refinement,which leads to higher rates of dissolution and diffusion for the atoms.The secondary phases promote the occurrence of corrosion and improve the chemical activity of alloy due to their higher potential than the substrate.Higher corrosion rate and discharge activity are directly attributed to the higher density of grain boundaries and LAGBs,as well as the secondary phase.Qiang Cui Danqing Yi Hongxuan Wang Jiayi Zhang Jiao Xu Bin Wang 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,12:6

4Tribological properties of M0S_(2) coating for ultra-long wear-life and low coefficient of friction combined with additive g-C3N4 in air显示文摘The solid lubricant M0S_(2) demonstrates excellent lubricating properties,but it spontaneously oxidizes and absorbs moisture in air,and thus results in poor wear resistance and short wear-life.In this study,the additive g-C_(3)N_(4)(CN)was successfully combined with M0S_(2) via hydrothermal synthesis as a solid lubricant for the first time.Meanwhile,a low friction coefficient(COF,y=0.031)and ultra-long wear-life of CN/M0S_(2) compared to pure M0S_(2) in air were demonstrated.The functional groups and good crystallinity of the lubricant material were characterized via Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The formed valence states in CN/M0S_(2) were analyzed via X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The characterized results of the scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)show the morphology and interior crystal phase structure of CN/M0S_(2).From the cross-section analysis,the presence of iron oxide nanoparticles lubricating film is synergistic with CN/M0S_(2) film during the friction process,resulting in its ultra-long wear-life.In particular,the friction mechanism of interlayer sliding friction combined with energy storage friction was analyzed and proposed.Yupeng ZHANG Panpan LI Li JI Xiaohong LIU Hongqi WAN Lei CHEN Hongxuan LI Zhiiiang JIN 2021Friction2021,9,4:3
5A review of the amino acid metabolism in placental function response to fetal loss and low birth weight in pigs显示文摘The fertility of sows mainly depends on the embryo losses during gestation and the survival rate of the postfarrowing piglets.The selection of highly-prolific sows has been mainly focused on the selection of genotypes with high ovulatory quota.However,in the early-and post-implantation stages,the rate of embryo losses was increased with the increase of zygotes.Among the various factors,placental growth and development is the vital determinant for fetal survival,growth,and development.Despite the potential survival of fetuses with deficient placental development,their life-conditions and growth can be damaged by a process termed intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR).The newborn piglets affected by IUGR are prone to increased morbidity and mortality rates;meanwhile,the growth,health and welfare of the surviving piglets will remain hampered by these conditions,with a tendency to exacerbate with age.Functional amino acids such as glycine,proline,and arginine continue to increase with the development of placenta,which are not only essential to placental growth(including vascular growth)and development,but can also be used as substrates for the production of glutathione,polyamines and nitric oxide to benefit placental function in many ways.However,the exact regulation mechanism of these amino acids in placental function has not yet been clarified.In this review,we provide evidence from literature and our own work for the role and mechanism of dietary functional amino acids during pregnancy in regulating the placental functional response to fetal loss and birth weight of piglets.This review will provide novel insights into the response of nutritionally nonessential amino acids(glycine and proline)to placental development as well as feasible strategies to enhance the fertility of sows.Chengquan Tan Zihao Huang Wenyu Xiong Hongxuan Ye Jinping Deng Yulong Yin 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,4:3
6Toward calibration-free Mach-Zehnder switches for next-generation silicon photonics显示文摘Silicon photonic Mach–Zehnder switches(MZSs)have been extensively investigated as a promising candidate for optical systems.However,conventional 2×2 MZSs are usually prone to the size variations of the arm waveguides due to imperfect fabrication,resulting in considerable random phase imbalance between the two arms,thereby imposing significant challenges for further developing next-generation N×N MZSs.Here we propose a novel design toward calibration-free 2×2 and N×N MZSs,employing optimally widened arm waveguides,enabled by novel compact tapered Euler S-bends with incorporated mode filters.With standard 180 nm CMOS foundry processes,more than thirty 2×2 MZSs and one 4×4 Benes MZS with the new design are fabricated and characterized.Compared with their conventional counterparts with 0.45-μm-wide arm waveguides,the present 2×2 MZSs exhibit significant reduction in the random phase imbalance.The measured extinction ratios of the present 2×2 and 4×4 MZSs operating in the all-cross state are 27-49 dB and∼20dB across the wavelength range of∼60nm,respectively,even without any calibrations.This work paves the way toward calibration-free large-scale N×N MZSs for next-generation silicon photonics.Lijia Song Tangnan Chen Weixi Liu Hongxuan Liu Yingying Peng Zejie Yu Huan Li Yaocheng Shi Daoxin Dai 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:2
7Yersinia pestis: examining wildlife plague surveillance in China and the USA显示文摘Plague is a zoonotic disease caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis Lehmann and Neumann,1896.Although it is essentially a disease of rodents,plague can also be transmitted to people.Historically,plague has caused mas-sive morbidity and mortality events in human populations,and has recently been classified as a reemerging dis-ease in many parts of the world.This public health threat has led many countries to set up wild and domestic an-imal surveillance programs in an attempt to monitor plague activity that could potentially spill over into human populations.Both China and the USA have plague surveillance programs in place,but the disease dynamics dif-fer in each country.We present data on plague seroprevalence in wildlife and review different approaches for plague surveillance in the 2 countries.The need to better comprehend plague dynamics,combined with the fact that there are still several thousand human plague cases per year,make well-designed wildlife surveillance pro-grams a critical part of both understanding plague risks to humans and preventing disease outbreaks in the future.Sarah N.BEVINS John A.BAROCH Dale L.NOLTE Min ZHANG Hongxuan HE 2012Integrative Zoology2012,7,1:2
8Qualitative and quantitative analyses of influenza virus receptors in trachea and lung tissues of humans,mice,chickens and ducks显示文摘To accurately determine the expression and distribution patterns of two influenza virus receptors(SA 2,3-gal and SA 2,6-gal) in trachea and lung tissues of humans,mice,chickens and ducks,we analyzed lectin immunofluorescence stainings of various tissue sections qualitatively and quantitatively.Results from the qualitative analysis showed that both influenza virus receptors were expressed in lung tissues of humans,mice,chickens and ducks as well as trachea tissues of mice and ducks.However,SA 2,6-gal receptor was expressed only in the human trachea tissue and SA 2,3-gal receptor was expressed only in the chicken trachea tissue.Results from the quantitative analysis demonstrated that both receptors were expressed in trachea tissues of human and mouse,as well as in lung tissues of humans,chickens and ducks.Meanwhile,our results also showed that the expression and distribution of influenza virus receptors in the same tissue were not always uniform,indicating that their distribution and expression in various tissues are not simply the distinction between the presence or absence of receptors,but rather the difference in the amount of expressed receptors.WANG BaoLin LIU Bo CHEN Ling ZHANG JianYong HE HongXuan ZHANG Hong 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,7:2

12Numerical Simulation of Multi-Layer Penetration Process of Binder Droplet in 3DP Technique显示文摘This paper studies the binder droplet injection process in the 3DP technique.The mathematical model of the binder penetration process for multi-nozzle and multi-layer in 3DP technique is established,by using the conservation Level set method.According to the two-dimensional plane model of three-dimensional spatial structure of sand bed,the construction method of an equivalent cylindrical mapping infiltration model is proposed to represent the porosity of the model in the two-dimensional plane,which is exactly the same as that in the three-dimensional space,as well as closer to the arrangement of the three-dimensional space,and to realize the differentiation between the pores and the throats.The method of spraying droplets alternately by multiple nozzles simulates the staggered arrangement of multiple array-type nozzles and prints the current layer completely at one time.The numerical simulation of multi-layer penetration process is realized by using the method of continuous multi-simulation.The simulation model of the binder penetration process by using multi-nozzle and multi-layer is established to simulate the whole process of the binder from the nozzle to impacting on the sand bed and then to penetrating into the sand bed,which reflects the complete penetration process and predicts the sand agglomeration.Xiangyu Gao Weidong Yang Hongxuan Xian Xiyuan Tu Yuanyuang Wang 2020Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,7:2
