| 1 | Clinical Evaluation of Pranoprofen Combined with Fluorometholone Eye Drops on Postoperative Reaction of Corneal Cross-linking显示文摘Purpose:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of pranoprofen eye drops for reducing postoperative ocular pain and inflammation after corneal cross-linking (CXL). Methods:Twenty-seven patients (38 eyes) with keratoconus undergoing CXL were examined and randomly divided into control (12 cases; 18 eyes) and experimental groups (15 cases;20 eyes).The patients in the control group were given fluorometholone eye drops,and those in the experimental group were administered with fluorometholone combined with pranoprofen eye drops.Corneal irritation and haze were compared between the two groups at 1 month postoperatively. Results:At 1 to 3 days after surgery,the corneal irritation in the experimental group was significantly reduced compared with that in the control group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference on 5 to 7 days postoperatively (P>0.05). The average degree of haze in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group 1 month after surgery (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the best-corrected vision acuity and intraocular pressure between the two groups. There were 2 cases with >20 mmHg intraocular pressure in the control group. | 8 | Inverse design and accurate optimization of layered structured seeding mechanism for sugarcane planters显示文摘Existing sugarcane planters are difficult to have ideal seeding trajectory and motion attitude at the same time, and the speed is difficult to meet the requirements at the critical stage, resulting in poor stability, which ultimately makes it impossible to ensure that the sugarcane seeding is carried out in accordance with the agronomic requirements to ensure that the cane buds are oriented toward the wall of the seeding trench. Aiming at the second-order non-circular planetary gear system pendulum seeding mechanism of the planter, the paper innovatively adopts the combination of inverse design and multi-objective layered accurate optimization to solve the problems of attitude, speed and trajectory that do not meet the requirements of fixed-attitude seeding that still exists in the process of sugarcane seeding. The second-order non-circular planetary gear system is simplified into a three-rod two-degree-of-freedom mechanism, and the radius of the pitch curve of each non-circular gear is solved inversely by actively preplanning the static trajectory of the cane seed motion and analyzing the law of motion of the rod assembly. Determining the range of cane seed attitude angles in different motion phases as the first layer optimization objective, and fine-tuning the position of static trajectory key type value points to achieve the first layer optimization. Based on the non-circular gear pitch curve obtained from optimization, the interpolation points are marked on each non-circular gear pitch curve of the second-order non-circular planetary gear system, and based on the parameter optimization method of human-computer interaction, the radius values corresponding to the interpolation points of the non-circular gear pitch curve are fine-tuned to optimize the pitch curves, so as to satisfy the speed requirements of the cane species in each stage, and at the same time to make the convexity of non-circular gears in line with the principle of gear mesh, so as to complete the second layer of accurate optimization. The results of simulation verification show that the motion trajectory attitude of the virtual prototype is basically consistent with the theoretical model, which verifies the feasibility of the mechanism design. | 9 | Comparison of Central Corneal Thickness using Ultrasound Pachymetry during Corneal Collagen Cross-linking显示文摘Purpose:To study variation in central corneal thickness (CCT) during corneal collagen cross-linking(CXL) using ultrasound pachymetry. Methods:Twenty patients (26 eyes) with progressing keratoconus undergoing riboflavin-UVA-induced CXL were involved in this study. Intraoperative CCT measurement using ultrasonic pachymetry was performed during the procedure.Measurements were obtained before operation, after epithelial removal, after riboflavin drop instillation, and after UVA irradiation. Results:Mean CCT was 495±56 and 450±52 μm before and after epithelial removal, respectively. Mean CCT was 443±42 and 411±39 μm after riboflavin drop instillation and after UVA irradiation, respectively. Statistically significant decreases in CCT occurred between the preoperative period and after epithelial removal, after riboflavin drop instillation and after UVA irradiation. Twenty-six eyes from 20 patients undergoing CXL were divided into 2 groups (I with CCT≥400 μm after UVA irradiation and II with CCT<400 μm after UVA irradiation). No statistically significant difference was noted between I and II in preoperative endothelial cell count, but a statistically greater postoperative endothelial cell count was noted in I compared to II. A statistically significant difference was evident between preoperative and postoperative endothelial cell counts in Group II (P<0.05). | 10 | Interface engineering of MXene-based heterostructures for lithiumsulfur batteries显示文摘High energy density and low cost make lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries as one of the next generation's promising energy storage systems.However,the following problems need to be solved before commercialization:(i)the shuttling effect and sluggish redox kinetics of lithium polysulfides in sulfur cathode;(ii)the formation of lithium dendrites and the crack of solid electrolyte interphase;(iii)the large volume changes during charge and discharge processes.MXenes,as newly emerging two-dimensional transition metal carbides/nitrides/carbonitrides,have attracted widespread attention due to their abundant active surface terminals,adjustable vacancies,and high electrical conductivity.Designing MXene-based heterogeneous structures is expected to solve the stacking problem induced by hydrogen bonds or Van der Waals force and to provide other charming physiochemical properties.Herein,we generalize the design principles of MXene-based heterostructures and their functions,i.e.,adsorption and catalysis in advanced conversion-based Li-S batteries.Firstly,the physiochemical properties of MXene and MXene-based heterostructures are briefly introduced.Secondly,the catalytic functions of MXene-based heterostructures with the compositional constituents including carbon materials,metal compounds,organic frameworks,polymers,single atoms and special high-entropy MXenes are comprehensively summarized in sulfur cathodes and lithium anodes.Finally,the challenges of MXene-based heterostructure in current Li-S batteries are pointed out and we also provide some enlightenments for future developments in high-energy-density Li-S batteries. | Siyu Wu Xiang Li Yongzheng Zhang Qinghua Guan Jian Wang Chunyin Shen Hongzhen Lin Jitong Wang Yanli Wang Liang Zhan Licheng Ling | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
| 11 | Development of a rapid neutralizing antibody test for SARS-CoV-2 and its application for neutralizing antibody screening and vaccinated serum testing显示文摘Background:Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease(COVID-19),the high infection rate and mutation fre-quency of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),the causative agent,have contributed to the ongoing global pandemic.Vaccination has become the most effective means of controlling COVID-19.Tra-ditional neutralizing tests of sera are complex and labor-intensive,therefore,a rapid test for detecting neutralizing antibodies and antibody status post-immunization is needed.Methods:Based on the fact that antibodies exhibit neutralizing activity by blocking the binding of the S protein receptor-binding domain(S-RBD)to ACE2,we developed a rapid neutralizing antibody test,ACE2-Block-ELISA.To evaluate the sensitivity and specificity,we used 54 positive and 84 negative serum samples.We also tested the neutralizing activities of monoclonal antibodies(mAbs)and 214 sera samples from healthy individuals im-munized with the inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.Results:The sensitivity and specificity of the ACE2-Block ELISA were 96.3%and 100%,respectively.For neu-tralizing mAb screening,ch-2C5 was selected for its ability to block the ACE2-S-RBD interaction.A plaque assay confirmed that ch-2C5 neutralized SARS-CoV-2,with NT 50 values of 4.19,10.63,and 1.074μg/mL against the SARS-CoV-2 original strain,and the Beta and Delta variants,respectively.For the immunized sera samples,the neutralizing positive rate dropped from 82.14%to 32.16%within 4 months post-vaccination.Conclusions:This study developed and validated an ACE2-Block-ELISA to test the neutralizing activities of an-tibodies.As a rapid,inexpensive and easy-to-perform method,this ACE2-Block-ELISA has potential applications in rapid neutralizing mAb screening and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine evaluation. | Yuchang Li Mingyue Wang Hongzhen Wu Hui Zhao Lei Dong Yunfei Li Xiaofeng Li Ying Tang Sen Zhang Jing Li Chengfeng Qin Tao Jiang Yongqiang Deng Xiaoping Kang | 2022 | Infectious Medicine2022,1,2: | 0 |
