1Progress in additive manufacturing on new materials: A review显示文摘Recent efforts and advances in additive manufacturing(AM) on different types of new materials are presented and reviewed. Special attention is paid to the material design of cladding layers, the choice of feedstock materials, the metallurgical behavior and synthesis principle during the AM process, and the resulted microstructures and properties, as well as the relationship between these factors. Thereafter,the trend of development in the future is forecasted, including: Effects of the particles size and size distribution of powders; Approaches for producing fine microstructures; Opportunities for creating new materials by AM; Wide applications in reconditioning of damaged components; Challenges for deep understanding and applications of the AMed new materials. 2Impending HRT wave precursors to the Wenchuan M_s8.0 earthquake and methods of earthquake impending prediction by using HRT wave显示文摘We deployed four geo-electric monitoring stations in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces from 2004, using the new generation of equipment (PS-100) and technologies to capture the HRT wave earthquake precursor. Before the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake, we recorded the HRT wave precursor at the only operating station in Hongge (HG, Δ=465 km) and found that significant impending signal had been recorded at the station in the early morning ( 0―5 am) of 12th of May, 2008. The precursor for this earthquake is consistent with precursors recorded for other strong earthquakes. The measured physical properties (geo-resistivity and telluric-current) show tidal wave period oscillations from several days to several months before the earthquakes and the amplitude of such HT oscillation increases significantly towards the occurrence of an earthquake. These HT and RT waves from the epicenter have a causal relationship with the earthquakes that happened several days later. The arrival time of two RT waves is proportional to the distance from the station to the epicenter. The estimated natural decay of the amplitude is correlated with the natural period (T0) of the earthquake fault, which is proportional to the fault length. From this relationship, we can predict the earthquake magnitude. For magnitude 6―9 earthquakes, the natural period is about 1―6 hours. Such oscillation comes from the epicenter area and they can propagate several thousand kilometers in the Earth's crust. Before a strong earthquake in the shallow crust, the conductive pore fluid will experience major changes before the fault rapture. Such fluid change will emit an oscillation in the pore fluid pressure. This is the mechanism for the HRT wave generation. Since the China Earthquake Administration funded the HRT wave short-term earth-quake prediction project in 2003, the first record of HRT precursor wave has been recorded from the 2004-12-26 Sumatra Mw9.0 earthquake with the largest epicentre distance Δ=2900 km. Thereafter, we have captured HRT waves from more than twenty strong earthquakes, which are well-matched and show repeatability, consistency and regularity. All our observation with the HRT waves demonstrate that HRT wave precursors to earthquakes indeed exist. Strong earthquakes can be predicted and short-term and impending earthquake prediction is achievable in the very near future. 3Immunity-and-matrix-regulatory cells derived from human embryonic stem cells safely and effectively treat mouse lung injury and fibrosis显示文摘Lung injury and fibrosis represent the most significant outcomes of severe and acute lung disorders,including COVID-19.However,there are still no effective drugs to treat lung injury and fibrosis.In this study,we report the generation of clinical-grade human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)-derived immunity-and matrix-regulatory cells(IMRCs)produced under good manufacturing practice requirements,that can treat lung injury and fibrosis in vivo.We generate IMRCs by sequentially differentiating hESCs with serum-free reagents.IMRCs possess a unique gene expression profile distinct from that of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(UCMSCs),such as higher expression levels of proliferative,immunomodulatory and anti-fibrotic genes.Moreover,intravenous delivery of IMRCs inhibits both pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis in mouse models of lung injury,and significantly improves the survival rate of the recipient mice in a dose-dependent manner,likely through paracrine regulatory mechanisms.IMRCs are superior to both primary UCMSCs and the FDA-approved drug pirfenidone,with an excellent efficacy and safety profile in mice and monkeys.In light of public health crises involving pneumonia,acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome,our findings suggest that IMRCs are ready for clinical trials on lung disorders.Jun Wu Dingyun Song Zhongwen Li Baojie Guo Yani Xiao Wenjing Liu Lingmin Liang Chunjing Feng Tingting Gao Yanxia Chen Ying Li Zai Wang Jianyan Wen Shengnan Yang Peipei Liu Lei Wang Yukai Wang Liang Peng Glyn Nigel Stacey Zheng Hu Guihai Feng Wei Li Yan Huo Ronghua Jin Ng Shyh-Chang Qi Zhou Liu Wang Baoyang Hu Huaping Dai Jie Hao 2020Cell Research2020,30,9:7

5Research Progress of Refractory High Entropy Alloys:A Review显示文摘Owing to superior comprehensive performance than conventional superalloys at high temperature,refractory high entropy alloy(RHEA)is becoming a promising candidate for the next generation high-temperature material.Herein,contemporary aspects of corresponding development of RHEAs are reviewed to discuss various factors affecting the organization structure and service performance.It mainly covers alloying system and strengthening mechanism,the preparation method,plastic deformation and the related mechanism,as well as microstructure control by heat treatment.Firstly,the alloy systems and strengthening mechanism are introduced.This is followed by different preparation methods and the comparison of strengths and shortcomings based on different RHEAs.Then,hot deformation behavior and plastic deformation under different loadings are analyzed.Based on this,the influence of heat treatment on microstructures prior to and after the deformation is further summarized.Finally,some important research areas to be carried out in future are pointed out.This review will give a deep understanding of the effects of different factors on the service performance and provide scientific guide in designing RHEAs with improved performance.Xiaochang Xie Neng Li Wei Liu Shuai Huang Xiaoyong He Qiuying Yu Huaping Xiong Enhui Wang Xinmei Hou 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,6:4
6Skill Learning for Human-Robot Interaction Using Wearable Device显示文摘With the accelerated aging of the global population and escalating labor costs, more service robots are needed to help people perform complex tasks. As such, human-robot interaction is a particularly important research topic. To effectively transfer human behavior skills to a robot, in this study, we conveyed skill-learning functions via our proposed wearable device. The robotic teleoperation system utilizes interactive demonstration via the wearable device by directly controlling the speed of the motors. We present a rotation-invariant dynamicalmovement-primitive method for learning interaction skills. We also conducted robotic teleoperation demonstrations and designed imitation learning experiments. 7Target-triggered inhibiting oxidase-mimicking activity of platinum nanoparticles for ultrasensitive colorimetric detection of silver ion显示文摘The development of efficient methods for the detection of hazardous and toxic elements is extremely important for environmental security and public health. In this work, we developed a facile colorimetric assaying system for Ag+ detection in aqueous solution. Chitosan-stabilized platinum nanoparticles(ChPtNPs) were synthesized and severed as an artificial oxidase to catalyze the oxidation of the substrate3,30,5,50-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) and generate color signal. In the presence of Ag+, due to the strong metallophilic interactions between Ag+ and Pt2+ on the surface of Ch-PtNPs, Ag+ can weaken the affinity to the substrates and inactivate the catalytic activity of Ch-PtNPs, leading to decreased absorbance signal to varying degrees depending on Ag+ amount. Combing the specific binding between Ch-PtNPs and Ag+ with signal amplification procedure based on the Ch-PtNPs-catalyzed TMB oxidation, a sensitive,selective, simple, cost-effective, and rapid detection method for Ag+ can be realized. Ag+ ions in tap and lake waters have been successfully detected. 10Microstructure and Property of AlN Joint Brazed with Au–Pd–Co–Ni–V Brazing Filler显示文摘An Au–Pd–Co–Ni–V brazing alloy was designed for Al N ceramic joining. Its wettability on Al N was studied with the sessile drop method. The results showed that the contact angle was decreased gradually with increasing temperature and the prolonging of holding time. Sound Al N/Al N joints were achieved with the brazing alloy at 1170 °C for 10 min. The microstructure of the Al N/Al N joints was examined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). It was found that element V played the active role in the interfacial reaction between the ceramic and the brazing alloy. V reacted with N decomposed from Al N, resulted in the formation of V–N compound. Based on the energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis results, the V–N reaction product was verified as V2 N. 11Instant Messaging Worms Propagation Simulation and Countermeasures显示文摘Instant messaging (IM) has become one of the most popular online communication tools among consumer and enter- prise IM users. It provides instant message delivery, as well as convenient file transfer services. The increasing popularity and functionalities of IM programs have made it increasingly attractive for attackers, especially for worm writers. IM contact list offers worm an easy way of finding potential victims so that the worm could achieve a surprising spreading speed. This paper first pre- sents our experimental results of simulating IM worm propagation in the logical network defined by IM contact lists, which is re- ported to be a scale-free network. Then, the existing proposals for detecting and containing IM worm epidemics are discussed. At last, a new algorithm for this purpose is presented, which is based on the observation of the bi-directional nature of IM worm traffic, and its advantages and possible improvements in implementation are analyzed. 14Joining of Si_3N_4 ceramic using PdCo(NiSiB)–V system brazing filler alloy and interfacial reactions显示文摘The wettability of V-active PdCo-based alloys on Si3N4ceramic was studied with the sessile drop method. And the alloy of Pd50.0–Co33.7–Ni4.0–Si2.0–B0.7–V9.6(wt%),was developed for Si3N4ceramic joining in the present investigation. The rapidly-solidified brazing foils were fabricated by the alloy Pd50.0–Co33.7–Ni4.0–Si2.0–B0.7–V9.6. The average room-temperature three-point bend strength of the Si3N4/Si3N4joints brazed at 1453 K for 10 min was 205.6 MPa,and the newly developed braze gives joint strengths of 210.9 MPa,206.6 MPa and 80.2 MPa at high temperatures of 973 K,1073 K and 1173 K respectively. The interfacial reaction products in the Si3N4/Si3N4joint brazed at 1453 K for10 min were identified to be VN and Pd2Si by XRD analysis. Based on the XEDS analysis result,the residual brazing alloy existing at the central part of the joint was verified as Co-rich phases,in which the concentration of element Pd was high up to 18.0–19.1 at%. The mechanism of the interfacial reactions was discussed.
