| 1 | Hybridisation of perovskite nanocrystals with organic molecules for highly efficient liquid scintillators显示文摘Compared with solid scintillators,liquid scintillators have limited capability in dosimetry and radiography due to their relatively low light yields.Here,we report a new generation of highly efficient and low-cost liquid scintillators constructed by surface hybridisation of colloidal metal halide perovskite CsPbA_(3)(A:Cl,Br,I)nanocrystals(NCs)with organic molecules(2,5-diphenyloxazole).The hybrid liquid scintillators,compared to state-of-the-art CsI and Gd_(2)O_(2)S,demonstrate markedly highly competitive radioluminescence quantum yields under X-ray irradiation typically employed in diagnosis and treatment.Experimental and theoretical analyses suggest that the enhanced quantum yield is associated with X-ray photon-induced charge transfer from the organic molecules to the NCs.High-resolution X-ray imaging is demonstrated using a hybrid CsPbBr_(3) NC-based liquid scintillator.The novel X-ray scintillation mechanism in our hybrid scintillators could be extended to enhance the quantum yield of various types of scintillators,enabling low-dose radiation detection in various fields,including fundamental science and imaging. | Sangeun Cho Sungwoo Kim Jongmin Kim Yongcheol Jo Ilhwan Ryu Seongsu Hong Jae-Joon Lee SeungNam Cha Eun BiNam Sang Uck Lee Sam Kyu Noh Hyungsang Kim Jungwon Kwak Hyunsik Im | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 4 |
| 2 | Bioinspired urease-powered micromotor as an active oral drug delivery carrier in stomach显示文摘Self-propelling micro-and nano-motors(MNMs)have been extensively investigated as an emerging oral drug delivery carrier for gastrointestinal(GI)tract diseases.However,the propulsion of current MNMs reported so far is mostly based on the redox reaction of metals(such as Zn and Mg)with severe propulsion gas generation,remaining non-degradable residue in the GI tract.Here,we develop a bioinspired enzyme-powered biopolymer micromotor mimicking the mucin penetrating behavior of Helicobacter pylori in the stomach.It converts urea to ammonia and the subsequent increase of pH induces local gel-sol transition of the mucin layer facilitating the penetration into the stomach tissue layer.The successful fabrication of micromotors is confirmed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,electron energy loss spectroscopy,dynamic light scattering analysis,zeta-potential analysis.In acidic condition,the immobilized urease can efficiently converted urea to ammonia,comparable with that of neutral condition because of the increase of surrounding pH during propulsion.After administration into the stomach,the micromotors show enhanced penetration and prolonged retention in the stomach for 24 h.Furthermore,histological analysis shows that the micromotors are cleared within 3 days without causing any toxicity in the GI tract.The enhanced penetration and retention of the micromotors as an active oral delivery carrier in the stomach would be successfully harnessed for the treatment of various GI tract diseases. | Hyunsik Choi Sang Hoon Jeong Tae Yeon Kim Jeeyoon Yi Sei Kwang Hahn | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,3: | 3 |

| 19 | A Simple Method for the Fabrication of Metallic Copper NanospheresDecorated Cellulose Nanofiber Composite显示文摘Herein, we report a new and simple method for the preparation of metallic copper nanospheres decorated cellulose nano?ber composite(CuN Ss/CNFs). Initially, the cellulose acetate nano?bers(CANFs were electrospun followed by deacetylation and anionization to produce functional anionic cellulos nano?bers(f-CNFs). The Cu Cl_2 precursor was deposited on the f-CNFs(Cu Cl_2/CNFs) by a simple dippin method. Then the CuCl_2/CNFs were reduced under vacuum by using aluminum foil to produce the CuN Ss CNFs. The resultant Cu NSs/CNFs composite was characterized by various microscopic and spectroscopi methods. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) con?rmed the successful functionalization o anionic groups with the CNFs. The ?eld emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) and transmis sion electron microscope(TEM) results con?rmed the formation of Cu NSs on the surface of CNFs. From the scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEM-EDS) analysis, the weight per centage of Cu was found to be 23.5 wt%. The successful reduction of Cu O to metallic Cu was con?rme by X-ray photoemission spectroscopy(XPS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analyses. | 20 | Faster Metallic Surface Defect Detection Using Deep Learning with Channel Shuffling显示文摘Deep learning has been constantly improving in recent years,and a significant number of researchers have devoted themselves to the research of defect detection algorithms.Detection and recognition of small and complex targets is still a problem that needs to be solved.The authors of this research would like to present an improved defect detection model for detecting small and complex defect targets in steel surfaces.During steel strip production,mechanical forces and environmental factors cause surface defects of the steel strip.Therefore,the detection of such defects is key to the production of high-quality products.Moreover,surface defects of the steel strip cause great economic losses to the high-tech industry.So far,few studies have explored methods of identifying the defects,and most of the currently available algorithms are not sufficiently effective.Therefore,this study presents an improved real-time metallic surface defect detection model based on You Only Look Once(YOLOv5)specially designed for small networks.For the smaller features of the target,the conventional part is replaced with a depthwise convolution and channel shuffle mechanism.Then assigning weights to Feature Pyramid Networks(FPN)output features and fusing them,increases feature propagation and the network’s characterization ability.The experimental results reveal that the improved proposed model outperforms other comparable models in terms of accuracy and detection time.The precision of the proposed model achieved by mAP@0.5 is 77.5%on the Northeastern University,Dataset(NEU-DET)and 70.18%on the GC10-DET datasets. | Siddiqui Muhammad Yasir Hyunsik Ahn | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,4: | 0 |
