| 1 | The Dabie Orogen as the early Jurassic sedimentary provenance: Constraints from the detrital zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating显示文摘The SHRIMP U-Pb ages of detrital zircon from the oldest Mesozoic strata, the Fanghushan Fomation, in the Hefei Basin range from 200 Ma to ca. 2500 Ma, which indicates that the Dabie Orogen as the early Jurassic sedimentary provenance was complex. | 2 | Constructing a high-density linkage map for Gossypium hirsutum × Gossypium barbadense and identifying QTLs for lint percentage显示文摘To introgress the good fiber quality and yield from Gossypium barbadense into a commercial Upland cotton variety, a high-density simple sequence repeat(SSR) genetic linkage map was developed from a BC1F1 population of Gossypium hirsutum×Gossypium barbadense. The map comprised 2,292 loci and covered 5115.16 centi Morgan(c M) of the cotton AD genome, with an average marker interval of 2.23 c M. Of the marker order for 1,577 common loci on this new map, 90.36% agrees well with the marker order on the D genome sequence genetic map. Compared with five published high-density SSR genetic maps, 53.14% of marker loci were newly discovered in this map. Twenty-six quantitative trait loci(QTLs) for lint percentage(LP) were identified on nine chromosomes. Nine stable or common QTLs could be used for marker-assisted selection. Fifty percent of the QTLs were from G. barbadense and increased LP by 1.07%–2.41%. | 3 | Induction of corneal epithelial progenitors from bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells of rhesus monkeys in vitro显示文摘Bioengineered corneas are substitutes for human donor tissue that are designed to treat severe dis-ease affecting ocular surfaces. However,a shortage of candidate seed cells for bioengineering corneas is still a problem. Bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are capable of multilineage differen-tiation. Therefore,we determined whether MSCs differentiate into corneal epithelial cells (ECs). We applied three exoteric-microenvironmental systems to induce MSCs to become ECs. Induced MSC were identified by means of morphologic examination,immunocytochemical analysis,and flow cytometry. MSCs grown in one microenvironment had characteristics similar to those of corneal epithelial pro-genitors. Induced MSCs expressed markers for EC,including integrin β1,Cx43,Pax6,and P63. MSCs were successfully induced to become corneal epithelial progenitors. | 10 | Acellular nerve xenografts based on supercritical extraction technology for repairing long-distance sciatic nerve defects in rats显示文摘Compared to conventional artificial nerve guide conduits (NGCs) prepared using natural polymers or synthetic polymers, acellular nerve grafts (ACNGs) derived from natural nerves with eliminated immune components have natural bionic advantages in composition and structure that polymer materials do not have. To further optimize the repair effect of ACNGs, in this study, we used a composite technology based on supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO_(2)) extraction to process the peripheral nerve of a large mammal, the Yorkshire pig, and obtained an innovative Acellular nerve xenografts (ANXs, namely, CD + scCO_(2) NG). After scCO_(2) extraction, the fat and DNA content in CD + scCO_(2) NG has been removed to the greatest extent, which can better supported cell adhesion and proliferation, inducing an extremely weak inflammatory response. Interestingly, the protein in the CD + scCO_(2) NG was primarily involved in signaling pathways related to axon guidance. Moreover, compared with the pure chemical decellularized nerve graft (CD NG), the DRG axons grew naturally on the CD + scCO_(2) NG membrane and extended long distances. In vivo studies further revealed that the regenerated nerve axons had basically crossed the CD + scCO_(2) NG 3 weeks after surgery. 12 weeks after surgery, CD + scCO_(2) NG was similar to autologous nerves in improving the quality of nerve regeneration, target muscle morphology and motor function recovery and was significantly better than hollow NGCs and CD NG. | 13 | Research and clinical translation of trilayer stent-graft of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene for interventional treatment of aortic dissection显示文摘The aortic dissection(AD)is a life-threatening disease.The transcatheter endovascular aortic repair(EVAR)affords a minimally invasive technique to save the lives of these critical patients,and an appropriate stent-graft gets to be the key medical device during an EVAR procedure.Herein,we report a trilayer stent-graft and corresponding delivery system used for the treatment of the AD disease.The stent-graft is made of nitinol stents with an asymmetric Z-wave design and two expanded polytetrafluoroethylene(ePTFE)membranes.Each of the inner and outer surfaces of the stent-graft was covered by an ePTFE membrane,and the two membranes were then sintered together.The biological studies of the sintered ePTFE membranes indicated that the stent-graft had excellent cytocompatibility and hemocompatibility in vitro.Both the stent-graft and the delivery system exhibited satisfactory mechanical properties and operability.The safety and efficacy of this stent-graft and the corresponding delivery system were demonstrated in vivo.In nine canine experiments,the blood vessels of the animals implanted with the stent-grafts were of good patency,and there were no thrombus and obvious stenosis by angiography after implantation for 6months.Furthermore,all of the nine clinical cases experienced successful implantation using the stent-graft and its postrelease delivery system,and the 1-year follow-ups indicated the preliminary safety and efficacy of the trilayer stent-graft with an asymmetric Z-wave design for interventional treatment. | Gang Wang Caiyun Gao Benhao Xiao Jie Zhang Xunyuan Jiang Qunsong Wang Jingzhen Guo Deyuan Zhang Jianxiong Liu Yuehui Xie Chang Shu Jiandong Ding | 2022 | Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1: | 0 |

| 17 | Time-Temperature Superposition in Chinese Fir Dynamic Viscoelastic Behavior Response显示文摘Time-temperature superposition principle (TTSP) was used to examine dynamic viscoelastic properties of Chinese Fir(Cunninghamia lanceolata) wood at an extremely low moisture content(0.6%).Storage modulus and loss factor data were obtained at different constant temperatures ranging from 25℃to 150℃in frequency multiplexing experiments(0.1 -20 Hz).All viscoelastic curves at other temperatures were shifted along the log-frequency axis to superimpose them on a reference temperature(i.e.135℃in this study) curve.The extended storage modulus and loss factor isothermal master curves were over a wide range of frequency.The shift factors were determined to be a function of temperature and fitted into the Arrhenius equation with the least squares method.The results showed that the storage modulus data were excellently fitted into the Arrhenius model,indicating the validity of the model to characterize the dynamic stiffness behavior of dry wood in the range of 25-150℃using the TTSP. | 18 | Electricity-driven ammonia oxidation and acetate production in microbial electrosynthesis systems显示文摘Microbial electrosynthesis(MES)is an emerging technology for producing chemicals,and coupling MES to anodic waste oxidation can simultaneously increase the competitiveness and allow additional functions to be explored.In this study,MES was used for the simultaneous removal of ammonia from synthetic urine and production of acetate from CO_(2).Using graphite anode,83.2%±5.3%ammonia removal and 28.4%±9.9%total nitrogen removal was achieved,with an energy consumption of 1.32 kWh/g N for total nitrogen removal,0.45 kWh/g N for ammonia nitrogen removal,and 0.044 kWh/g for acetate production.Using boron-doped diamond(BDD)anode,70.9%±12.1%ammonia removal and 51.5%±11.8%total nitrogen removal was obtained,with an energy consumption of 0.84 kWh/g N for total nitrogen removal,0.61 kWh/g N for ammonia nitrogen removal,and 0.043 kWh/g for acetate production.A difference in nitrate accumulation explained the difference of total nitrogen removal efficiencies.Transport of ammonia and acetate across the membrane deteriorated the performance of MES.These results are important for the development of novel elcctricity-driven technologies for chemical production and pollution removal. | Qinjun Liang Yu Gao Zhigang Li Jiayi Cai Na Chu Wen Hao Yong Jiang Raymond Jianxiong Zeng | 2022 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,4: | 0 |
| 19 | Hierarchical loading of CuO on SiO_(2) aerogel@high crystalline TiO_(2) nanofibers for efficiently photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2) without sacrificial agent显示文摘Silica aerogel was prepared by a sol-gel method with combination of freeze drying.The aerogel was filled with TiCl4 in autoclave and used to fabricate a hierarchical structure of TiO_(2) nanofiber shell and SiO_(2) aerogel core(SiO_(2)@TiO_(2)).The TiO_(2) nanofibers with a diameter of 10-15 nm were highly crystalline and mainly grew along the(101)or(001)planes,favoring charge migration along the growth axis of the fibers.The photoluminescence(PL)emission spectra show that the TiO_(2) nanofibers exhibited much lower PL intensity than P25.The free standing TiO2 nanofibers loaded with CuO had a band gap of 3.04 eV.When CuO was hierarchically loaded on the nanofiber surface and into the aerogel core(SiO_(2)/CuO@TiO_(2)/CuO),the absorption edge significantly red shifted,and the band gap was further narrowed to 2.66 eV.Meanwhile,Fe^(3+)implanted TiO_(2) nanofibers on the aerogel surface(SiO_(2)@Fe-TiO_(2))were also fabricated in the same strategy.The CuO loaded nanofibers(SiO_(2)/CuO@Fe-TiO_(2)/CuO)had a band gap of 2.62 eV.The photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2) was performed under light irradiation by a 300 W Xe-lamp for 4 h.The methanol yield over the SiO_(2)/CuO@Fe-TiO_(2)/CuO reached~2,400 μmol·gcat^(-1) in the absence of sacrificial agent. | Man Wen Beibei Ren Xiangzhi Ye Jianxiong He Hong Jiang Chunrong Xiong | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,5: | 0 |
