| 1 | Quality of terrestrial data derived from UAV photogrammetry:A case study of Hetao irrigation district in northern China显示文摘Most crops in northern China are irrigated, but the topography affects the water use, soil erosion, runoff and yields.Technologies for collecting high-resolution topographic data are essential for adequately assessing these effects.Ground surveys and techniques of light detection and ranging have good accuracy, but data acquisition can be time-consuming and expensive for large catchments.Recent rapid technological development has provided new,flexible,high-resolution methods for collecting topographic data, such as photogrammetry using unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs).The accuracy of UAV photogrammetry for generating high-resolution Digital Elevation Model(DEM)and for determining the width of irrigation channels, however, has not been assessed.A fixed-wing UAV was used for collecting high-resolution(0.15 m)topographic data for the Hetao irrigation district, the third largest irrigation district in China.112 ground checkpoints(GCPs)were surveyed by using a real-time kinematic global positioning system to evaluate the accuracy of the DEMs and channel widths.A comparison of manually measured channel widths with the widths derived from the DEMs indicated that the DEM-derived widths had vertical and horizontal root mean square errors of 13.0 and 7.9 cm,respectively.UAV photogrammetric data can thus be used for land surveying, digital mapping, calculating channel capacity, monitoring crops, and predicting yields, with the advantages of economy, speed and ease. | Hongming Zhang Jiangtao Yang Jantiene E.M.Baartman Shuqin Li Bei Jin Wenting Han Xiaomei Yang Lingtong Gai Coen J.Ritsema Violette Geissen | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3: | 4 |
| 2 | Stakeholder analysis of the governance framework of a national SDI dataset-whose needs are met in the buildings and address register of the Netherlands?显示文摘National spatial data infrastructures are key to achieving the Digital Earth vision. In many cases, national datasets are integrated from local datasets created and maintained by municipalities.Examples are address, building and topographic information.Integration of local datasets may result in a dataset satisfying the needs of users of national datasets, but is it productive for those who create and maintain the data? This article presents a stakeholder analysis of the Basisregistratie Adressen en Gebouwen(BAG),a collection of base information about addresses and buildings in the Netherlands. The information is captured and maintained by municipalities and integrated into a national base register by Kadaster, the Cadastre,Land Registry and Mapping Agency of the Netherlands. The stakeholder analysis identifies organisations involved in the BAG governance framework, describes their interests, rights, ownerships and responsibilities in the BAG,and maps the relationships between them.Analysis results indicate that Kadaster and the municipalities have the highest relative importance in the governance framework of the BAG.The study reveals challenges of setting up a governance framework that maintains the delicate balance between the interests of all stakeholders. The results provide guidance for SDI role players setting up governance frameworks for national or global datasets. | Serena Coetzee Martijn Odijk Bastiaan van Loenen Janette Storm Jantien Stoter | 2020 | International Journal of Digital Earth2020,13,3: | 2 |

| 16 | Three-dimensional modeling with national coverage:case of The Netherlands显示文摘Three-dimensional technologies have matured over the years. At the same time,3D information is becoming increasingly important in many applications.Still it is not straightforward to apply the solutions that work on prototypes, small areas or for specific projects to 3D modeling of a whole nation. In the Netherlands, two initiatives are ongoing to address the issues of nation-wide 3D modeling.First, the initiative that aims at establishing and implementing a national 3D standard for large-scale topography with support of all stakeholders.Collecting and maintaining the large-scale data are the responsibility of local governments(mainly municipalities). The second initiative is led by the Kadaster(the organization responsible for topographic mapping in the Netherlands)and aims at automatically generating a 3D version of the 1:10 k object-oriented data-set based on a smart combination of the two-dimensional data with high-resolution laser data. Both initiatives are presented in this paper including results, open issues, and future plans. | Jantien STOTER Linda van den BRINK Jakob BEETZ Hugo LEDOUX Marcel REUVERS Paul JANSSEN Friso PENNING George VOSSELMAN Sander OUDE ELBERINK | 2013 | Geo-Spatial Information Science2013,16,4: | 0 |
