1New generation of multi-scale NWP system (GRAPES):general scientific design显示文摘A new generation of numerical prediction system GRAPES (a short form of Global/Regional Assimilation and PrEdiction System) was set up in China Meteorological Administration (CMA). This paper focuses on the scientific design and preliminary results of the numerical prediction model in GRAPES, including basic idea and strategy of the general scientific design, multi-scale dynamic core, physical package configuration, architecture and parallelization of the codes. A series of numerical experiments using the real data with horizontal resolutions from 10 to 280 km and idealized experiments with very high resolution up to 100 m are conducted, giving encouraging results supporting the multi-scale application of GRAPES. The results of operational implementation of GRAPES model in some NWP centers are also presented with stress at evaluations of the capability to predict the main features of precipitation in China. 2Verification of GRAPES unified global and regional numerical weather prediction model dynamic core显示文摘During the past few years, most of the new developed numerical weather prediction models adopt the strategy of multi-scale technique. Therefore, China Meteorological Administration has devoted to developing a new generation of global and regional multi-scale model since 2003. In order to validate the performance of the GRAPES (Global and Regional Assimilation and PrEdiction System) model both for its scientific design and program coding, a suite of idealized tests has been proposed and conducted, which includes the density flow test, three-dimensional mountain wave and the cross-polar flow test. The density flow experiment indicates that the dynamic core has the ability to simulate the fine scale nonlinear flow structures and its transient features. While the three-dimensional mountain wave test shows that the model can reproduce the horizontal and vertical propagation of internal gravity waves quite well. Cross-polar flow test demonstrates the rationality of both for the semi-Lagrangian departure point calculation and the discretization of the model near the poles. 3An Innovative Non-Pillar Coal-Mining Technology with Automatically Formed Entry: A Case Study显示文摘A non-pillar coal-mining technology with an automatically formed entry is proposed,which reduces the waste of coal resources and the underground entry drivage workload.Three key techniques in this technology cooperate to achieve automatic formation and retaining of the gob-side entry,and to realize nonpillar mining.Constant-resistance large deformation(CRLD)support ensures the stability of the entry roof;directional presplitting blasting(DPB)separates the entry roof and the gob roof;and a blockinggangue support system(BGSS)integrates the caved rock material as an effective entry rib.An industrial test was conducted to verify the engineering effects of these key techniques.The field application results showed that the retained entry was under the pressure-relief zone due to the broken-expansion nature of the caved rock mass within the DPB height.After going through a provisional dynamic pressure-bearing zone,the retained entry entered the stability zone.The final stable entry meets the requirements of safety and production.The research results demonstrate the good engineering applicability of this technology.By taking the framework of the technology design principles into consideration and adjusting the measures according to different site conditions,it is expected that the proposed non-pillar coal-mining technology can be popularized on a large scale.Xingyu Zhang Manchao He Jun Yang Eryu Wang Jiabin Zhang Yue Sun 2020Engineering2020,6,11:8
4High strength and high conductivity Cu alloys: A review显示文摘High strength and high conductivity(HSHC) Cu alloys are widely used in many fields,such as high-speed electric railway contact wires and integrated circuit lead frames. Pure Cu is well known to have excellent electrical conductivity but rather low strength. The main concern of HSHC Cu alloys is how to strengthen the alloy efficiently. However,when the Cu alloys are strengthened by a certain method,their electrical conductivity will inevitably decrease to a certain extent. This review introduces the strengthening methods of HSHC Cu alloys. Then the research progress of some typical HSHC Cu alloys such as Cu-Cr-Zr,Cu-Ni-Si,Cu-Ag,Cu-Mg is reviewed according to different alloy systems. Finally,the development trend of HSHC Cu alloys is forecasted. It is pointed out that precipitation and micro-alloying are effective ways to improve the performance of HSHC Cu alloys. 5REVIEW OF ADVANCED FPGA ARCHITECTURES AND TECHNOLOGIES显示文摘Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) is an efficient reconfigurable integrated circuit platform and has become a core signal processing microchip device of digital systems over the last decade. With the rapid development of semiconductor technology, the performance and system integration of FPGA devices have been significantly progressed, and at the same time new challenges arise. The design of FPGA architecture is required to evolve to meet these challenges, while also taking advantage of ever increased microchip density. This survey reviews the recent development of advanced FPGA architectures, including improvement of the programming technologies, logic blocks, interconnects, and embedded resources. 6A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 7Thermal properties of polyurethane elastomer with different flexible molecular chain based on para-phenylene diisocyanate显示文摘This work focuses on the relationship between flexibility of molecular chains and thermal properties of polyurethane elastomer(PUE), which laid the foundation of further research about how to improve thermal properties of PUE. A series of PUE samples with different flexibility of molecular chains was prepared by using 1,4-butanediol(1,4-BDO)/bisphenol-a(BPA) blends with different mole ratios including9/1, 8/2, 7/3, 6/4 and 5/5. As comparison, PUE extended with pure 1,4-BDO and BPA was also synthesized.These samples were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA), etc. The results showed that with the decrease in flexibility of molecular chains the glass transition temperature(Tg) increased and low-temperature properties became worse. 9Ultrafast presodiation of graphene anodes for high-efficiency and high-rate sodium-ion storage显示文摘The low initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)is a significant problem hindering the practical uses of carbon anodes in sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),especially for the carbons with large surface area.Presodiation is an effective way to solve the above problem,but it always needs complicated operations and cannot suppress the unavoidable electrolyte decomposition in the assembled battery.Herein,we develop an ultrafast chemical presodiation method for reduced graphene oxide(rGO)using sodium naphthalene(Na-Nt)dissolved in dimethoxyethane(DME)solvent as a presodiation reagent.The presodiation effectively improves the ICE of rGO to 96.8%and forms an artificial solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)on its surface due to the decomposition of the formed complex between Na+and DME.The formed artificial SEI suppresses the excessive decomposition of electrolytes in the assembled battery,leading to a formation of uniform and inorganic component–rich SEI on rGO surface,which enables a rapid interfacial ion transfer.Therefore,the presodiated rGO showed excellent rate performance with a high capacity of 198.5 mAh g^(-1) at 5 A g^(-1).Moreover,excellent cycle stability indicated by the high capacity retention of 68.4%over 1000 cycles was also achieved,showing the poten-tial to promote the practical uses of high-rate rGO anode in SIBs.Ganyu Zheng Qiaowei Lin Jiabin Ma Jun Zhang Yan-Bing He Xian Tang Feiyu Kang Wei Lv Quan-Hong Yang 2021InfoMat2021,3,12:4
10Effect of Shengmai Yin on the DNA methylation status of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell and its radioresistant strains显示文摘Shengmai Yin(SMY)is a Chinese herbal decoction that effectively alleviates the side effects of radiotherapy in various cancers and helps achieve radiotherapy’s clinical efficacy.In this study,we explored the interaction mechanism among SMY,DNA methylation,and nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).We identified differences in DNA methylation levels in NPC CNE-2 cells and its radioresistant cells(CNE-2R)using the methylated DNA immunoprecipitation array and found that CNE-2R cells showed genomewide changes in methylation status towards a state of hypomethylation.SMY may restore its original DNA methylation status,and thus,enhance radiosensitivity.Furthermore,we confirmed that the differential gene Tenascin-C(TNC)was overexpressed in CNE-2R cells and that SMY downregulated TNC expression.This downregulation of TNC inhibited NPC cell radiation resistance,migration,and invasion.Furthermore,we found that TNC was hypomethylated in CNE-2R cells and partially restored to a hypermethylated state after SMY intervention.DNA methyltransferases 3 a may be the key protein in DNA methylation of TNC.Shiya Liu Zhiyuan Wang Daoqi Zhu Jiabin Yang Dandan Lou Ruijiao Gao Zetai Wang Aiwu Li Ying Lv Qin Fan 2021Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,6:4
11Homogeneous arc ablation behaviors of CuCr cathodes improved by chromic oxide显示文摘Cathode ablation is one of the dominant limitations for extending the maximum operating time of arc heaters.In this work,the arc ablation behaviors and mechanisms of commercial CuCr10,CuCr25,and CuCr50 cathodes were investigated for pure copper and pure chromium cathodes.The discharging homogeneity was improved with the increase of chromium content in the cathodes,which was attributed to the formed chromic oxide layer.The CuCr50 cathodes exhibited the lowest ablation rate with a reduction of 27.0%compared to the copper cathodes.The chromic oxide formed in the pit protected the bottom matrix,leading to a homogeneous ablation process.The mechanism for the improved homogeneous ablation behaviors of the CuCr50 cathodes was proposed and featured by the suppression of deep pits and the dispersion of arc foot.Future attention will be focused on designing composite cathodes with an anti-ablation surface layer and a good conductive matrix.Weimian Guan Jie Yuan Hao Lv Tao Zhu Youtong Fang Jiabin Liu Hongtao Wang Zhihui Li Zhigong Tang Wei Yang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,22:3
12Progress and perspective of Li_(1+x)Al_(x)Ti_(2-x)(PO_(4))_(3) ceramic electrolyte in lithium batteries显示文摘The replacement of liquid organic electrolytes with solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)is a feasible way to solve the safety issues and improve the energy density of lithium batteries.Developing SSEs materials that can well match with high-voltage cathodes and lithium metal anode is quite significant to develop high-energy-density lithium batteries.Li_(1+x)Al_(x)Ti_(2-x)(PO_(4))_(3)(LATP)SSE with NASICON structure exhibits high ionic conductivity,low cost and superior air stability,which enable it as one of the most hopeful candidates for all-solidstate batteries(ASSBs).However,the high interfacial impedance between LATP and electrodes,and the severe interfacial side reactions with the lithium metal greatly limit its applications in ASSBs.This review introduces the crystal structure and ion transport mechanisms of LATP and summarizes the key factors affecting the ionic conductivity.The side reaction mechanisms of LATP with Li metal and the promising strategies for optimizing interfacial compatibility are reviewed.We also summarize the applications of LATP including as surface coatings of cathode particles,ion transport network additives and inorganic fillers of composite polymer electrolytes.At last,this review proposes the challenges and the future development directions of LATP in SSBs.Ke Yang Likun Chen Jiabin Ma Yan-Bing He Feiyu Kang 2021InfoMat2021,3,11:2
13Prediction of preferential fluid flow in porous structures based on topological network models: Algorithm and experimental validation显示文摘The understanding and prediction of preferential fluid flow in porous media have attracted considerable attention in various engineering fields because of the implications of such flows in leading to a non-equilibrium fluid flow in the subsurface. In this study, a novel algorithm is proposed to predict preferential flow paths based on the topologically equivalent network of a porous structure and the flow resistance of flow paths. The equivalent flow network was constructed using Poiseuille's law and the maximal inscribed sphere algorithm. The flow resistance of each path was then determined based on Darcy's law. It was determined that fluid tends to follow paths with lower flow resistance. A computer program was developed and applied to an actual porous structure. To validate the algorithm and program, we tested and recorded two-dimensional(2 D) water flow using an ablated Perspex sheet featuring the same porous structure investigated using the analytical calculations. 14Early changes to the extracellular space in the hippocampus under simulated microgravity conditions显示文摘The smooth transportation of substances through the brain extracellular space(ECS)is crucial to maintaining brain function;however,the way this occurs under simulated microgravity remains unclear.In this study,tracer-based magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and DECS-mapping techniques were used to image the drainage of brain interstitial fluid(ISF)from the ECS of the hippocampus in a tail-suspended hindlimb-unloading rat model at day 3(HU-3)and 7(HU-7).The results indicated that drainage of the ISF was accelerated in the HU-3 group but slowed markedly in the HU-7 group.The tortuosity of the ECS decreased in the HU-3 group but increased in the HU-7 group,while the volume fraction of the ECS increased in both groups.The diffusion rate within the ECS increased in the HU-3 group and decreased in the HU-7 group.The alterations to ISF drainage and diffusion in the ECS were recoverable in the HU-3 group,but neither parameter was restored in the HU-7 group.Our findings suggest that early changes to the hippocampal ECS and ISF drainage under simulated microgravity can be detected by tracer-based MRI,providing a new perspective for studying microgravity-induced nano-scale structure abnormities and developing neuroprotective approaches involving the brain ECS.Yajuan Gao Hongbin Han Jichen Du Qingyuan He Yanxing Jia Junhao Yan Hui Dai Bin Cui Jing Yang Xunbin Wei Liu Yang Rui Wang Ren Long Qiushi Ren Xing Yang Jiabin Lu 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,3:2
15AIR-GAP-BASED RF COAXIAL TSV AND ITS CHARACTERISTIC ANALYSIS显示文摘Many 3D IC applications such as MEMS and RF systems require Through-Silicon Via(TSV) with operations for high-speed vertical communication.In this paper,we introduce a novel air-gap coaxial TSV that is suiTab.for such RF applications.Firstly,the detailed fabrication process is described to explain how to acquire such a structure.Then,an Resistor Inductance Conductance Capacitance(RLGC) model is developed to profile the transverse electromagnetic field effect of the proposed air-gap TSV.The model is further verified by a 3D field solver program through the S-parameter comparison.With reference to the numerically simulated results,this analytical model delivers a maximum deviation of less than 6‰,on the conditions of varying diameters,outer to inner radius ratios,and SU-8 central angles,etc.Taking advantages of scalability of the model,a number of air-gap-based TSV designs are simulated,providing 1.6~4.0 times higher bandwidth than the conventional coaxial TSVs and leading to an efficient high frequency vertical RF interconnection solution for 3D ICs.Yu Le Sun Jiabin Zhang Chunhong Wang Zhaoxin Zhang Chao Yang Haigang 2013Journal of Electronics(China)2013,30,6:1

17Three New Ranidae Mitogenomes and the Evolution of Mitochondrial Gene Rearrangements among Ranidae Species显示文摘Various types of gene rearrangements have been discovered in the mitogenoes of the frog family Ranidae.In this study,we determined the complete mitogenome sequence of three Rana frogs.By combining the available mitogenomic data sets from Gen Bank,we evaluated the phylogenetic relationships of Ranidae at the mitogenome level and analyzed mitogenome rearrangement cases within Ranidae.The three frogs shared an identical mitogenome organization that was extremely similar to the typical Neobatrachian-type arrangement.Except for the genus Babina,the monophyly of each genus was well supported.The genus Amnirana occupied the most basal position among the Ranidae.The[Lithobates+Rana]was the closest sister group of Odorrana.The diversity of mitochondrial gene arrangements in ranid species was unexpectedly high,with 47 mitogenomes from 40 ranids being classified into 10 different gene rearrangement types.Some taxa owned their unique gene rearrangement characteristics,which had significant implication for their phylogeny analysis.All rearrangement events discovered in the Ranidae mitogenomes can be explained by the duplication and random loss model.Jiandong YANG Jiaojiao YU Jiabin LIU Ming ZHOU Biao LI Bo OUYANG 2018Asian Herpetological Research2018,9,2:1

19Fast and accurate visual odometry from a monocular camera显示文摘This paper aims at a semi-dense visual odometry system that is accurate,robust,and able to run realtime on mobile devices,such as smartphones,AR glasses and small drones.The key contributions of our system include:1)the modified pyramidal Lucas-Kanade algorithm which incorporates spatial and depth constraints for fast and accurate camera pose estimation;2)adaptive image resizing based on inertial sensors for greatly accelerating tracking speed with little accuracy degradation;and 3)an ultrafast binary feature description based directly on intensities of a resized and smoothed image patch around each pixel that is sufficiently effective for relocalization.A quantitative evaluation on public datasets demonstrates that our system achieves better tracking accuracy and up to about 2X faster tracking speed comparing to the state-of-the-art monocular SLAM system:LSD-SLAM.For the relocalization task,our system is 2.0X∼4.6X faster than DBoW2 and achieves a similar accuracy.Xin YANG Tangli XUE Hongcheng LUO Jiabin GUO 2019Frontiers of Computer Science2019,13,6:1
