1High strength and high conductivity Cu alloys: A review显示文摘High strength and high conductivity(HSHC) Cu alloys are widely used in many fields,such as high-speed electric railway contact wires and integrated circuit lead frames. Pure Cu is well known to have excellent electrical conductivity but rather low strength. The main concern of HSHC Cu alloys is how to strengthen the alloy efficiently. However,when the Cu alloys are strengthened by a certain method,their electrical conductivity will inevitably decrease to a certain extent. This review introduces the strengthening methods of HSHC Cu alloys. Then the research progress of some typical HSHC Cu alloys such as Cu-Cr-Zr,Cu-Ni-Si,Cu-Ag,Cu-Mg is reviewed according to different alloy systems. Finally,the development trend of HSHC Cu alloys is forecasted. It is pointed out that precipitation and micro-alloying are effective ways to improve the performance of HSHC Cu alloys. 2GNP6,a novel allele of MOC1,regulates panicle and tiller development in rice显示文摘The yield of rice is mostly affected by three factors,namely,panicle number,grain number and grain weight.Variation in panicle and grain numbers is mainly caused by tiller and panicle branches generated from axillary meristems(AMs).MOC1 encodes a putative GRAS family nuclear protein that regulates AM formation.Although several alleles of MOC1 have been identified,its variation in germplasm resources remains unclear.In the present study we characterized a novel mocl allele named gnp6 which has a thymine insertion in the coding sequence of the SAW motif in the GRAS domain.This mutation causes arrested branch formation.The SAW motif is necessary for nuclear localization of GNP6/MOC1 where it functions as a transcription factor or co-regulator.Haplotype analysis showed that the coding region of GNP6/MOC1 was conserved without any non-synonymous mutations in 240 rice accessions.However,variation in the promoter region might affect the expression of it and its downstream genes.Joint haplotype analysis of GNP6/MOC1 and MOC3 showed that haplotype combinations H9,H10 and H11,namely MOC1-Hap1 in combination with MOC3-Hap3,MOC3-Hap4 or MOC3-Hap5 could be bred to promote branch formation.These findings will enrich the genetic resources available for rice breeders.Zhanying Zhang Xingming Sun Xiaoqian Ma Bingxia Xu Yong Zhao Zhiqi Ma Gangling Li Najeeb Ullah Khan Yinghua Pan Yuntao Liang Hongliang Zhang Jinjie Li Zichao Li 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,1:6

4Towards tapered-fiber-based all-fiberized high power narrow linewidth fiber laser显示文摘Yb-doped fiber laser(YDFL) is a promising kind of laser source due to high efficiency, excellent beam quality, robust configuration, diverse applications and so on. The progress of large-mode-area double cladding active fiber and high power laser diodes have been continuously promoting the power scaling of the YDFLs. However, the further power scaling is blocked by some physic issues including nonlinear effect, thermal-induced mode instability(MI), optical damage and so forth. So, newlydesigned fibers with special structures are invented to address or relieve these limitations. The tapered fiber, which has changed mode area along its longitudinal direction, has been demonstrated to benefit suppressing the nonlinear effect, especially the stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) effect. In this paper, we will review the previous work done to explore the advantages of the tapered fiber for high power output, and then for the first time to our knowledge, demonstrate an all-fiberized high power narrow linewidth fiber laser based on a homemade tapered Yb-doped fiber(T-YDF). As a result, an output power of 260 W with a narrow linewidth of ~2 GHz is obtained, with SBS effectively suppressed owing to gradually increased mode area of the T-YDF as well as continuously changed Brillouin frequency shift dependent on the core diameter. Further power scaling is limited by MI, and the features of MI are studied in detail. It is pointed out that, the MI seems the primary and durative limitation factor of the tapered fiber amplifier for high power narrow linewidth output due to the gradually increased effective numerical aperture(NA) and the excitation of the high-order modes, even although it has the advantage to reduce other nonlinear effects. At last,worthwhile discussion about the optimization of the T-YDF and the whole fiber laser system for both SBS and MI suppression is conducted based on the previous and our results. It is concluded that the small diameter at the small-diameter end and low optical NA are preferred in the design of a T-YDF to ensure good beam quality and improve the MI threshold. 7Characterization of Bacterial Community,Ammonia-Oxidizing Bacteria,and Nitrospira During the Operation of a Commercial-Scale Recirculating Aquaculture System for Culturing Pufferfish Takifugu rubripes显示文摘We investigated the changes in communities of bacteria,ammonia-oxidizing bacteria,and Nitrospira during the operation of a pufferfish Takifugu rubripes recirculating aquaculture system by using high-throughput DNA sequencing.Differences in bacterial communities were observed at days 1-32,47-62 and 78-93 of biofilm development by using 16S rRNA gene pyrosequencing.The relative abundance of Proteobacteria(Gammaproteobacteria)increased,while that of Bacteroidetes(Flavobacteria)decreased.The proportions of Nitrosomonas and Nitrospina ranged from 0.02%to 0.30%and from 0.02%to 0.83%,respectively.Ammonia monooxygenase gene pyrosequencing revealed that the top three operational taxonomic units were related to Nitrosomonas aestuarii(17.5%-61.1%),uncultured beta proteobacterium clone B67S-54(1.9%-45.2%),and uncultured bacterium clone AZPa8(3.6%-24.7%).Nitrite oxidoreductase gene pyrosequencing revealed that the relative abundance of the dominant strain Nitrospira sp.Ecomares 2.1 increased,but that of the abundant species Nitrospira marina decreased.Our results demonstrated that the communities of bacteria,ammonia-oxidizing bacteria,and Nitrospira were changing during the operation of the pufferfish recirculating aquaculture system.MA Yuexin YU Zichao DU Xin ZHANG Tao WANG Ning TAO Wei 2020Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,6:1
8Layer-by-layer slot-die coated high-efficiency organic solar cells processed using twin boiling point solvents under ambient condition显示文摘Layer-by-layer (LbL) strategy has been developed to form bulk heterojunction (BHJ) structure for processing efficient organic solar cells (OSCs). Herein, LbL slot-die coating with twin boiling point solvents (TBPS) strategy was developed to fabricate highly efficient OSCs, which matches with large-scale, high throughput roll-to-roll (R2R) industrialized mass process. The TBPS strategy could produce high-quality thin film without any additive, leading to the optimized vertical phase separation with interpenetrating nanostructures, as well as the enhanced charge transport and extraction. 12Modularized viromimetic polymer nanoparticle vaccines(VPNVaxs)to elicit durable and effective humoral immune responses显示文摘Virus-like particle(VLP)vaccines had shown great potential during the COVID-19 pandemic,and was thought to be the next generation of antiviral vaccine technology due to viromimetic structures.However,the time-consuming and complicated processes in establishing a current recombinant-protein-based VLP vaccine has limited its quick launch to the out-bursting pandemic.To simplify and optimize VLP vaccine design,we herein report a kind of viromimetic polymer nanoparticle vaccine(VPNVax),with subunit receptor-binding domain(RBD)proteins conjugated to the surface of polyethylene glycol-b-polylactic acid(PEG-b-PLA)nanoparticles for vaccination against SARS-CoV-2.The preparation of VPNVax based on synthetic polymer particle and chemical post-conjugation makes it possible to rapidly replace the antigens and construct matched vaccines at the emergence of different viruses.Using this modular preparation system,we identified that VPNVax with surface protein coverage of 20%-25% had the best immunostimulatory activity,which could keep high levels of specific antibody titers over 5 months and induce virus neutralizing activity when combined with an aluminum adjuvant.Moreover,the polymer nano-vectors could be armed with more immune-adjuvant functions by loading immunostimulant agents or chemical chirality design.This VPNVax platform provides a novel kind of rapidly producing and efficient vaccine against different variants of SARS-CoV-2 as well as other viral pandemics.Zichao Huang Xinyu Zhuang Liping Liu Jiayu Zhao Sheng Ma Xinghui Si Zhenyi Zhu Fan Wu Ningyi Jin Mingyao Tian Wantong Song Xuesi Chen 2024National Science Review2024,11,3:0
13Trinity immune enhancing nanoparticles for boosting antitumor immune responses of immunogenic chemotherapy显示文摘Certain chemo drugs have been reported to potentially induce tumor-specific immune recognition by triggering immunogenic cell death(ICD),which provides a promising alternative way for cancer immunotherapy.However,the immunogenic effects of such treatments are still weak and robust systemic antitumor immune responses are rarely seen when these agents were used alone.Herein,we proposed a trinity immune enhancing nanoparticles(TIENs)for boosting antitumor immune responses of chemo agents.The TIENs was constructed with Food and Drug Administration(FDA)approved polylactic acid(PLA),canonical proton-sponging cationic polymer polyethyleneimine(PEI),and Toll-like receptor 9(TLR9)agonist cytosine phosphate guanine oligodeoxynucleotide(CpG-ODN).In in vitro studies,the TIENs was proved to(1)promote antigen capturing,(2)antigen-presenting cells(APCs)activation,and(3)antigen cross-presentation.In in vivo studies,intratumorally injected TIENs greatly enhanced antitumor effect and robust immune responses of oxaliplatin and doxorubicin in murine CT26 and 4T1 tumor models,respectively.Furthermore,after decoration with a detachable shielding,the TIENs was proved to be effective in promoting the antitumor effects of chemo agents after intravenous injection.The combination of TIENs with clinically widely used chemo agents should be meaningful in boosting effective antitumor immune responses and cancer therapy.Yudi Xu Sheng Ma Jiayu Zhao Xinghui Si Zichao Huang Yu Zhang Wantong Song Zhaohui Tang Xuesi Chen 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:0
