| 1 | Efficacy and safety of Yinchenwuling powder for hyperlipidemia: a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the clinical effectiveness and adverse effects of Yinchenwuling powder(YCWLP)in the treatment of hyperlipidemia using Meta-analysis.METHODS:Seven electronic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials designed to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of YCWLP for hyperlipidemia published in any language prior to February 2015.Two reviewers independently identified articles,extracted data,assessed quality,and cross-checked the results.Revman 5.3 was used to analyze the data.RESULTS:Only five randomized controlled trials with poor methodology were included in the analy-sis.The five trials compared YCWLP with conventional lipid-lowering drugs.Meta-analysis indicated that YCWLP was more effective at the levels of total cholesterol and triglycerides,while increasing the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol without serious adverse effects.However,it was not more effective than lipid-lowering drugs in reducing low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and improving hemorheology.CONCLUSION:YCWLP appeared to improve lipid levels.However,given the high risk of bias among the trials,we could not conclude that YCWLP was beneficial to patients with hyperlipidemia.More rigorous trials are required to provide stronger evidence for the conclusion. | Yao Haiqiang Zhang Zengliang Wang Ji Zuo Jiacheng Chen Yu Zhu Libing Li Xiaoke Yang Zheng Wang Zisong Sun Ranran Xu Xuanxuan Li Changming Wu Yanling Li Lingru Wang Qi | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2: | 11 |

The morphology and structure of the as-prepared product were identified by transmission electron microscopy(TEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD), Raman spectroscopy, Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). The as-prepare α-Fe_2O_3@C nanocomposites were employed for supercapacitor electrode material. The synergistic combination of carbon electrical double-layer capacitance and α-Fe_2O_3 pseudo-capacitance established such nanocomposites as versatile platform for high performance supercapacitors. | 4 | Analysis of negative DSA findings in patients with acute nonvariceal gastrointestinal bleeding: A retrospective study of 133 patients显示文摘Purpose: To analyze causes of acute nonvariceal gastrointestinal bleeding(GIB) with negative digital subtraction angiography(DSA) results.Materials and methods: The clinical and follow-up data of 133 patients-recruited between February 2008 and November 2016-with acute nonvariceal GIB and negative DSA results were included in this study. DSA results,diagnoses, and clinical outcomes were recorded.Results: The DSA results were negative in all 133 patients. Of the total, 55 patients(41.4%) chose to undergo surgery and 78(58.6%) opted for conservative treatment. Within 30 days, there was no significant difference in the rebleeding or mortality rates between the two groups(P <.05). Of all 133 patients, 76(57.1%) had upper GIB and 57(42.9%) had lower GIB;within 30 days, the rebleeding rate in the upper GIB group(44.7%, 34/76) was significantly higher than that in the lower GIB group(26.3%, 15/57). There was no significant statistical difference(P <.05) within 30 days in the mortality rates between the two groups.Among patients with upper GIB, 26(34.2%, 26/76) opted to undergo surgery and 50(65.8%, 50/76) chose conservative treatment;within 30 days, the rebleeding rate in the group that chose surgery(61.5%, 16/26) was higher than that in the conservative treatment group(36%, 18/50). There was no significant difference(P <.05)within 30 days in the mortality rate between the two groups.Among the patients with lower GIB, 29(50.9%, 29/57) chose to undergo surgery and 28(49.1%, 28/57) opted for conservative treatment. Within 30 days, the rebleeding rate in the surgery group(13.8%, 4/29) was lower than that in conservative treatment group(39.3%, 11/28). There was no significant difference(P <.05) within 30 days in the mortality rate between the two groups.Sixteen patients underwent prophylactic arterial embolization;in 6 of these, bleeding was stopped for 30 days.DSA was then repeated in these 16 patients after a median interval of 1 day, and a positive bleeding site was found in 9 of the 16. Causes of bleeding were found in 111 patients by surgery or endoscopy, whereas the causes remained unknown in 22 patients.Conclusions: Upper GIB with negative DSA results was stopped by conservative treatment, whereas lower GIB required surgery to detect the culprit bleeding site. | 5 | In situ formation of the loop snare technique for retrieval of foreign bodies from vessels显示文摘Purpose: To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of in situ formation of the loop snare technique for retrieval of foreign bodies from vessels. Materials and methods: We retrospectively reviewed in situ formation of the loop snare technique for retrieval of foreign bodies in 6 patients. After placing the guide wire and the loop of the gooseneck snare on each side of the tubes, the soft tip of the guide wire was caught with the gooseneck snare to form a new loop structure. The foreign body was retrieved with the new loop snare by combining the gooseneck snare and the guide wire. We reviewed the application of this technique in 6 patients with fractured central venous catheters without free ends. Results: With in situ formation of the loop snare technique, the internal ruptured catheter was successfully removed from all of the 6 patients in about 2 to 4 min. There were no complications such as arrhythmia or heart valve injury in the 6 patients with the distal end of the fragment in the pulmonary artery or right atrium. Conclusion: The in situ formation loop snare technique is an effective and fast means of retrieving tubular foreign bodies without free ends from vessels. | 6 | Carbon composite support improving catalytic effect of NbC nanoparticles on the low-temperature hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2)显示文摘Ultrafine carbon-based transition metal compounds have been widely investigated as efficient catalysts for enhancing the hydrogen storage performance of magnesium hydride.In this work,the carbon ther-mal shock method is applied to synthesize the ultrafine carbon-encapsulated NbC nanoparticles with an average grain size of 17.3 nm.The MgH_(2)-10 wt%NbC/C composites show excellent low-temperature hy-drogen storage performance with the onset dehydrogenation temperature of 196.1℃,which is 92.2℃ and 98℃ lower than that of MgH_(2)-10 wt%NbC and undoped MgH_(2),respectively.Specifically,MgH_(2)-10 wt%NbC/C can absorb 6.71 wt%H_(2) at 100℃ within 30 min around and retain almost 100%reversible hydrogen desorption capacity after 10 cycles.For the catalytic mechanism,the electron transfer process between multi-valence Nb cations of in-situ formed NbH x and Mg,H atoms can greatly improve the cyclic de/rehydrogenation kinetics of MgH_(2)-NbC/C.Besides,the enhancement of dehydrogenation kinetics can also be ascribed to MgH_(2) particle refinement by NbC nanoparticles,and destabilization of the Mg-H bond caused by carbon substrate.This investigation not only proves that carbon-encapsulated NbC nanoparti-cles can greatly enhance the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2) but provides an idea of preparing carbon-based transition metal carbides as effective catalysts for magnesium-based hydrogen storage ma-terials. | Yuxiao Jia Xuancheng Wang Leijie Hu Xuezhang Xiao Shuoqing Zhang Jiahuan He Jiacheng Qi Ling Lv Fen Xu Lixian Sun Lixin Chen | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,19: | 0 |
| 7 | Robust architecture of 2D nano Mg-based borohydride on graphene with superior reversible hydrogen storage performance显示文摘Efficient technical strategies to synthesize hydrides with high capacity and favorable reversibility are significant for the development of novel energy materials.Herein,nano Mg-based borohydride,Mg(BH_(4))_(2),with robust architecture was designed and prepared by confining on graphene through a solution selfconfinement method.The Mg(BH_(4))_(2) confined on graphene displays a wrinkled 2D nano layer morphology within 8.8 nm thickness.Such 2D nano Mg(BH_(4))_(2) can start dehydrogenation at 67.9℃ with a high capacity of 12.0 wt.%,which is 190.5℃ lower than pristine Mg(BH_(4))_(2).The isothermal dehydrogenation tests and kinetics fitting results indicate the 2D nano Mg(BH_(4))_(2) possesses much-enhanced dehydrogenation kinetics of 31.3 kJ/mol activation energy,which is only half of pristine Mg(BH_(4))_(2).The thermodynamics of the 2D nano Mg(BH_(4))_(2) is also verified by PCT tests,of which Gibbs free energy value for the confined 2D nano Mg(BH_(4))_(2) is estimated to be-18.01 kJ/mol H_(2),lower than-16.36 kJ/mol H_(2) of pristine Mg(BH_(4))_(2).Importantly,the reversibility of the confined 2D nano Mg(BH_(4))_(2) is significantly enhanced to over 90%capacity retention with relatively kinetics stability during 10 cycles.The mechanism analyses manifest that Mg(BH_(4))_(2) exhibits stable 2D nano morphology during 10 cyclic tests,resulting in the greatly reduced H diffusion path and the improved de/rehydrogenation kinetics of the 2D nano Mg(BH_(4))_(2).Based on theoretical calculations of Mg(BH_(4))_(2) and the intermediate MgB12H12 confined on graphene,the charge transfer status of both samples is modified to facilitate de/rehydrogenation,thus leading to the significant thermodynamic improvements of the reversible hydrogen storage performances for 2D nano Mg(BH_(4))_(2).Such investigation of the Mg-based borohydride will illuminate prospective technical research of energy storage materials. | Xuancheng Wang Yuxiao Jia Xuezhang Xiao Panpan Zhou Jiapeng Bi Jiacheng Qi Ling Lv Fen Xu Lixian Sun Lixin Chen | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,15: | 0 |
