1A Naturalness-Preserved Low-Light Enhancement Algorithm for Intelligent Analysis显示文摘Images/videos captured in low-light conditions often present low luminance and contrast.Although the existing low-light enhancement algorithms can improve the subjective perception, color distortion and over-enhancement are extremely obvious, which will disturb the subsequent intelligent analysis. Therefore,a naturalness-preserved low-light enhancement algorithm for intelligent analysis is proposed in this paper. An enhancement model is established in RGB color space.Images of ColorChecker color chart are captured under a series of light conditions. To preserve the naturalness,the factors of the proposed enhancement model are estimated by the images captured in practical illumination environment. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can produce natural enhanced results and improve the performance of vehicle license plate localization and skin color detection compared to the existing algorithms. 2A Face Hallucination Algorithm via an LLE Coefficients Prior Model显示文摘In the most of exiting Local linear embedding(LLE)-based image super-resolution methods, a Low resolution(LR) image can be represented as a linear combination of LR training samples. In these methods, the combination coefficients of the LR image are directly used to estimate the High resolution(HR) image. However, experimental results show that the LR-LLE coefficients are different from the corresponding HR-LLE coefficients. To bridge the gap between LR and HR images, a novel LLEbased face hallucination algorithm is proposed. An LLE coefficients prior model is introduced to reduce the coefficient errors. In this prior model, the LLE coefficients of the interpolated LR face image are used to constraint the reconstructed coefficients. 3Homologous Strategy to Construct High‑Performance Coupling Electrodes for Advanced Potassium‑Ion Hybrid Capacitors显示文摘Potassium-ion hybrid capacitors(PIHCs)have been considered as promising potentials in mid-to large-scale storage system applications owing to their high energy and power density.However,the process involving the intercalation of K+into the carbonaceous anode is a sluggish reaction,while the adsorption of anions onto the cathode surface is relatively faster,resulting in an inability to exploit the advantage of high energy.To achieve a high-performance PIHC,it is critical to promote the K^+insertion/desertion in anodic materials and design suitable cathodic materials matching the anodes.In this study,we propose a facile“homologous strategy”to construct suitable anode and cathode for high-performance PIHCs,that is,unique multichannel carbon fiber(MCCF)-based anode and cathode materials are firstly prepared by electrospinning,and then followed by sulfur doping and KOH activation treatment,respectively.Owing to a multichannel structure with a large interlayer spacing for introducing S in the sulfur-doped multichannel carbon fiber(S-MCCF)composite,it presents high capacity,super rate capability,and long cycle stability as an anode in potassium-ion cells.The cathode composite of activated multichannel carbon fiber(aMCCF)has a considerably high specific surface area of 1445 m^2 g^−1 and exhibits outstanding capacitive performance.In particular,benefiting from advantages of the fabricated S-MCCF anode and aMCCF cathode by homologous strategy,PIHCs assembled with the unique MCCF-based anode and cathode show outstanding electrochemical performance,which can deliver high energy and power densities(100 Wh kg^−1 at 200 W kg^−1,and 58.3 Wh kg^−1 at 10,000 W kg^−1)and simultaneously exhibit superior cycling stability(90%capacity retention over 7000 cycles at 1.0 A g^−1).The excellent electrochemical performance of the MCCF-based composites for PIHC electrodes combined with their simple construction renders such materials attractive for further in-depth investigations of alkali-ion battery and capacitor applications.Ying Xu Jiafeng Ruan Yuepeng Pang Hao Sun Chu Liang Haiwen Li Junhe Yang Shiyou Zheng 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,1:3
4A genome-wide association study of early-maturation traits in upland cotton based on the CottonSNP8oK array显示文摘Genome-wide association studies(GWASs)efficiently identify genetic loci controlling traits at a relatively high resolution.In this study,variations in major early-maturation traits,including seedling period(SP),bud period(BP),flower and boll period(FBP),and growth period(GP),of 169 upland cotton accessions were investigated,and a GWAS of early maturation was performed based on a CottonSNP80K array.A total of49,650 high-quality single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)were screened,and 29 significant SNPs located on chromosomes A6,A7,A8,D1,D2,and D9,were repeatedly identified as associated with early-maturation traits,in at least two environments or two algorithms.Of these 29 significant SNPs,1,12,11,and 5 were related to SP,BP,FBP,and GP,respectively.Six peak SNPs,TM47967,TM13732,TM20937,TM28428,TM50283,and TM72552,exhibited phenotypic contributions of approximately 10%,which could allow them to be used for marker-assisted selection.One of these,TM72552,as well as four other SNPs,TM72554,TM72555,TM72558,and TM72559,corresponded to the quantitative trait loci previously reported.In total,274 candidate genes were identified from the genome sequences of upland cotton and were categorized based on their functional annotations.Finally,our studies identified Gh_D01G0340 and Gh_D01G0341 as potential candidate genes for improving cotton early maturity.Chengqi Li YuanyuanWang Nijiang Ai Yue Li Jiafeng Song 2018Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,10:3
5Circ-Smad5 retards the G1/S transition of cell cycle via inhibiting the activity of wnt/lef/cyclind1 signaling in JB6 cells显示文摘Circular RNAs are a large class of noncoding RNAs.Smad5 functions in cell differentiation,cell proliferation and metastasis.It has been reported that lnc-Smad5 can inhibit the proliferation of diffuse large B cell lymphoma.However,the function of circ-Smad5 has not yet been reported.Lentivirus vectors were constructed to establish circ-Smad5 upregulated and circ-Smad5 downregulated cell models.A CCK-8 assay was used to detect the proliferation of JB6 cells.FACS was used to analyze the cell cycle in the cell models.Western blot,immunofluorescence staining and TOP/FOP flash dual luciferase activity assays were used to determine the activity of the Wnt signaling pathway.The results revealed that the expression level of circ-Smad5 in JB6 cells was significantly lower than the expression level of linearizedSmad5.Compared with the control group,the percentage of S phase cells and the expression level of cyclin D1 protein were significantly higher in the sh-circ-Smad5 group.In the sh-circSmad5 group,b-catenin and LEF-1 were significantly increased,p-b-catenin was significantly decreased,and the relative activity of the TOP/FOP reporter gene was higher compared to the control group levels.These phenomena could be reversed by treating with Wnt signaling inhibitor PNU-74654.We conclude that the circ-Smad5 retards the proliferation and the cell cycle progression of JB6 cells.Thus,circ-Smad5 may function by inhibiting the activation of Wnt/b-catenin/Lef 1 signaling,which inhibits the expression of cyclin D1.To the best of our knowledge,we are the first to report the function of circ-Smad5.Xiaogen Ma Fei Xiang Zhuo Pei Jiafeng Miao Pan Wu Xiaofeng Song Yuhong Li Yiming Zhang 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,3:3

7Ammonia leaching mechanism and kinetics of LiCoO_(2) material from spent lithium-ion batteries显示文摘In this paper,the ammonia leaching process and high-energy ball milling method were adapted to recover spent LiCoO_(2) material.The ammonia reduction leaching mechanism of LiCoO_(2) material in the ammonia-sodium sulfite-ammonium chloride system was elucidated.Compared with untreated LiCoO_(2) material,the leaching equilibrium time of LiCoO_(2) after ball-milled for 5 h was reduced from 48 h to 4 h,and the leaching efficiency of lithium and cobalt was improved from 69.86%and 70.80%to 89.86%and98.22%,respectively.Importantly,the apparent activation energy and leaching kinetic equation of the reaction was calculated by the shrinking core reaction model,indicating that the reaction was controlled by the chemical reaction.Dongmin Li Bao Zhang Xing Ou Jiafeng Zhang Kui Meng Guanjun Ji Pengfei Li Jianhui Xu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,7:2
8Characteristics and Possible Formation Mechanisms of Severe Storms in the Outer Rainbands of Typhoon Mujigae(1522)显示文摘To better understand how severe storms form and evolve in the outer rainbands of typhoons, in this study, we investigate the evolutionary characteristics and possible formation mechanisms for severe storms in the rainbands of Typhoon Mujigae, which occurred during 2–5 October 2015, based on the NCEP–NCAR reanalysis data, conventional observations, and Doppler radar data. For the rainbands far from the inner core(eye and eyewall) of Mujigae(distance of approximately 70–800 km), wind speed first increased with the radius expanding from the inner core, and then decreased as the radius continued to expand. The Rankine Vortex Model was used to explore such variations in wind speed. The areas of strong stormy rainbands were mainly located in the northeast quadrant of Mujigae, and overlapped with the areas of high winds within approximately 300–550 km away from the inner core, where the strong winds were conducive to the development of strong storms. A severe convective cell in the rainbands developed into waterspout at approximately 500 km to the northeast of the inner core, when Mujigae was strengthening before it made landfall. Two severe convective cells in the rainbands developed into two tornadoes at approximately350 km to the northeast of the inner core after Mujigae made landfall. The radar echo bands enhanced to 60 d BZ when mesocyclones occurred in the rainbands and induced tornadoes. The radar echoes gradually weakened after the mesocyclones weakened. The tops of parent clouds of the mesocyclones elevated at first, and then suddenly dropped about 20 min before the tornadoes appeared. 9The Class Ⅲ peroxidase gene OsPrx30,transcriptionally modulated by the AT-hook protein OsATH1, mediates rice bacterial blight-induced ROS accumulation显示文摘Class Ⅲ peroxidases(CⅢ Prxs) play critical roles in plant immunity by scavenging reactive oxygen species(ROS). However, the functions of CⅢ Prxs in rice(Oryza sativa L.) immunity are largely unexplored. Here, we report a Prx precursor, OsPrx30,that is responsive to the bacterial blight Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae(Xoo). OsPrx30 was primarily expressed in rice roots, leaves, and stems,and its protein product was mainly localized at the endoplasmic reticulum. Overexpression of OsPrx30 enhanced the plant’s susceptibility to Xoo by maintaining a high level of peroxidase(POD) activity and reducing the content of H2O2, whereas depletion of OsPrx30 had the opposite effects. Furthermore, we identified an AT-hook transcription factor, Os ATH1, that is specifically bound to the OsPrx30 promoter. As observed in plants overexpressing OsPrx30, depletion of Os ATH1 enhanced susceptibility to Xoo. 11Engineering CoMoO_(4) in reduced graphene oxide as superior cathode hosts for advanced room-temperature sodium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Promising room-temperature sodium-sulfur(RT Na-S)battery systems rely on purposely designed highperforming and low-cost electrode materials.Nevertheless,there are the challenges of irreversible dissolution and slow redox kinetics of NaPSs in the complete discharge of sulfur capacity.Herein,engineered CoMoO_(4)in reduced graphene oxide(CoMoO_(4)@rGO)is reported as a class of superior cathode hosts for RT Na-S batteries.The CoMoO_(4)@rGO matrix is designed to facilitate the reversible sodiation and desodiation of sulfur,considering the strong chemisorption between sulfur(and short-chain sodium sulfides)and CoMoO_(4),which alleviates the shuttle effect of sodium sulfides and accelerates the electrochemical reaction rate at RT.The obtained S/CoMoO_(4)@rGO cathode with~52%S loading exhibits a high capacity of520.1 mA h g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 0.1 A g^(-1).Moreover,an enhanced long-term performance at high current densities(212.2 mA h g^(-1)at 4 A g^(-1)over 1000 cycles)with high Coulombic efficiency(~100%)is also achieved.This work demonstrates a novel multifunctional additive for RT Na-S battery cathodes,which is expected to promote the long-waited development towards practical applications of RT Na-S batteries.Xin Ye Sainan Luo Zhiqi Li Jiafeng Ruan Yuepeng Pang Junhe Yang John Wang Shiyou Zheng 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11:1

13Understanding the pattern and mechanism of spatial concentration of urban land use, population and economic activities: a case study in Wuhan, China显示文摘Quantifying the aggregation patterns of urban population, economic activities, and land use are essential for understanding compact development, but little is known about the difference among the distribution characteristics and how the built environment influences urban aggre-gation. In this study, five elements are collected in Wuhan, China, namely population density, floor area ratio, business POIs, road network and built-up area as the representative of urban population, economic activities and land use. An inverse S-shape function is employed to fit the elements’ macro distribution. An aggregation degree index is proposed to measure the aggregation level of urban elements. The kernel density estimation is used to identify the aggregation patterns. The spatial regression model is used to identify the built environment factors influencing the spatial distribution of urban elements. Results indicates that all urban elements decay outward from the city center in an inverse S-shape manner. The business Pointof- Interest (POI) density and population density are highly aggregated;floor area ratio and road density are moderately aggregated, whereas the built-up density is poorly aggregated. Three types of spatial aggregation patterns are identified: a point-shaped pattern, an axial pattern and a planar pattern. The spatial regression modeling shows that the built environment is associated with the distribution of the urban population, economic activities and land use. Destination accessibility factors, transit accessibility factors and land use diversity factors shape the distribution of the business POI density, floor area ratio and road density. Design factors are positively associated with population density, floor area ratio and built-up density. Future planning should consider the varying spatial concentration of urban population, economic activities and land use as well as their relationships with built environment attributes. 16Experiments and insights of desalination by a freezing/thawing method at low subcooling显示文摘Desalination by freezing/thawing method was a very important method to obtain fresh water from seawater.In this work,desalination by freezing/thawing method was conducted with initial sodium chloride of 3.5 wt% in consideration of stirring speed,freezing time and subcooling.The subcooling ranged from 1.2 K to 4 K.The optimum conditions for desalination in this work were stirring speed of 200 r·min^−1,freezing time of 120 min,and subcooling of 3 K.The results also showed that sodiumchloride cannot be effectively removed by once freezing/thawing process.The maximumremoval efficiency of sodiumchloride was 64.3%.Two major reasons resulting in the impurity of obtained melted water by freezing/thawing method were proposed.The first reason was the inevitable adhesion of salt solution to the surface of ice,which could be removed easily by distilled water flushing.The second reason was that salt solution was heterogeneously wrapped in the accumulated ice,which was difficult to be removed by distilled water flushing.The liquid flushing method was proposed to verify the conjecture,and the results were in accordance with the two reasons mentioned above.Additional method,such as multiple flushing liquid method,was suggested to be used during the freezing/thawing process for effectively removing sodium chloride,and obtaining fresh water.Jun Chen Jianjian Wu Jiafeng Xu Qing Yuan Bin Deng Changzhong Chen Zhi Li 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,12:1

18Growth of BiOBr/ZIF‑67 Nanocomposites on Carbon Fiber Cloth as Filter‑Membrane‑Shaped Photocatalyst for Degrading Pollutants in Flowing Wastewater显示文摘BiOBr-based nanocomposite photocatalysts are used for removing the organic pollutants,but their poor adsorption/photocatalytic performances and the low potential for recycling limit their application.To solve the issue,herein we report a large-area recyclable CFC/BiOBr/ZIF-67 filter-membrane-shaped photocatalyst prepared by in situ growth of BiOBr/ZIF-67 nanocomposites on carbon fiber cloth(CFC).Fabrication process is based on hydrothermal synthesis of BiOBr nanosheets(diameter 0.5–1μm)on carbon fiber cloth(as substrate material)and then a chemical bath route is used to grow ZIF-67 nanoparticles(diameter 300–600 nm)in situ on the surface of CFC/BiOBr.Resulted composite,CFC/BiOBr/ZIF-67,exhibits a high specific surface area(545.82 m^(2) g^(−1))and a wide photoabsorption,accompanied by an absorption edge(~620 nm).In dark condition,CFC/BiOBr/ZIF-67 adsorbs bisphenol A(BPA)and orange 7(AO7)within 60 min,respectively with 20.0% and 40.1% efficiency.This level of efficiencies are correspondingly 2.6 and 3.2 times more that of the bare CFC/BiOBr(7.6%for BPA and 12.4% for AO7).Under visible light irradiation,CFC/BiOBr/ZIF-67 can degrade 69.7% of BPA and 96.0% of AO7,in 120 min,which are,respectively,1.3 and 1.8 times higher than the absorption efficiency of bare CFC/BiOBr(53.2% for BPA,52.0% for AO7).When CFC/BiOBr/ZIF-67 is used as a filter membrane for photocatalytic removal of pollutants in flowing wastewater(AO7,rate:~1.5 L h^(−1)),92.2%of AO7 can be decomposed after 10 filtering cycles.This study suggests CFC/BiOBr/ZIF-67 as a novel highly functional,recyclable and environmental friendly photo-driven membrane filter for purification and recovery of flowing surface waste waters.Xiaolong Li Ting Liu Yan Zhang Jiafeng Cai Mengqiang He Maoquan Li Zhigang Chen Lisha Zhang 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,6:1
19Identification of Convective and Stratiform Clouds Based on the Improved DBSCAN Clustering Algorithm显示文摘A convective and stratiform cloud classification method for weather radar is proposed based on the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)algorithm.To identify convective and stratiform clouds in different developmental phases,two-dimensional(2D)and three-dimensional(3D)models are proposed by applying reflectivity factors at 0.5°and at 0.5°,1.5°,and 2.4°elevation angles,respectively.According to the thresholds of the algorithm,which include echo intensity,the echo top height of 35 dBZ(ET),density threshold,andεneighborhood,cloud clusters can be marked into four types:deep-convective cloud(DCC),shallow-convective cloud(SCC),hybrid convective-stratiform cloud(HCS),and stratiform cloud(SFC)types.Each cloud cluster type is further identified as a core area and boundary area,which can provide more abundant cloud structure information.The algorithm is verified using the volume scan data observed with new-generation S-band weather radars in Nanjing,Xuzhou,and Qingdao.The results show that cloud clusters can be intuitively identified as core and boundary points,which change in area continuously during the process of convective evolution,by the improved DBSCAN algorithm.Therefore,the occurrence and disappearance of convective weather can be estimated in advance by observing the changes of the classification.Because density thresholds are different and multiple elevations are utilized in the 3D model,the identified echo types and areas are dissimilar between the 2D and 3D models.The 3D model identifies larger convective and stratiform clouds than the 2D model.However,the developing convective clouds of small areas at lower heights cannot be identified with the 3D model because they are covered by thick stratiform clouds.In addition,the 3D model can avoid the influence of the melting layer and better suggest convective clouds in the developmental stage.Yuanyuan ZUO Zhiqun HU Shujie YUAN Jiafeng ZHENG Xiaoyan YIN Boyong LI 2022Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022,39,12:1
20Sources and Flows of Embodied CO_2 Emissions in Import and Export Trade of China显示文摘This paper uses the Global Trade Analysis Project(version 7)database to calculate embodied CO2emissions in bilateral trade between China and other countries(regions)based on input-output methods.The sources and flows of embodied CO2emissions in import and export trade of China are analyzed.Results show that the flows of embodied CO2emissions in export trade are highly concentrated.The main flows to the United States(US)and Japan account for 1/4 and 1/7 of the total CO2emissions in export trade,respectively.Concentrated flows of total exports and small differences in export structure are the main reasons for the highly concentrated export trade.The sources of embodied CO2emissions in import trade have relatively low concentration.Taiwan Province of China,Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China,US,Russia,Republic of Korea,and Japan account for around 7.72%–12.67%of the total embodied CO2emissions in import trade.The relative dispersion of import sources,the impact of the import structure,and the level of production technology in importing countries caused low concentration of CO2emissions in import trade.Overall,the embodied CO2emissions in the export trade of China are higher than those in import trade.As a result,production-based CO2emissions are higher than consumption-based CO2emissions.The difference of 8.96×108t of CO2,which comes mainly from the US,Japan,Germany,and the United Kingdom,accounts for 58.70%of the total difference.Some suggestions,such as improving energy efficiency,alerting high carbon-intensive industries transfer,expanding the market for sharing risks,and prompting the accounting system of consumption-based CO2emissions,are proposed based on the results.LI Yanmei FU Jiafeng MA Zhanyun YANG Bo 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:1
