| 3 | A review on tribology of polymer composite coatings显示文摘Self-lubricating polymer composite coatings,with tailorable tribological and mechanical properties,have been widely employed on mechanical parts to reduce friction and wear,which saves energy and improves the overall performance for applications such as aerospace satellite parts,shafts,gears,and bushings.The addition of functional fillers can overcome the limitations of single-polymer coatings and extend the service life of the coatings by providing a combination of low friction,high wear resistance,high load bearing,high temperature resistance,and high adhesion.This paper compares the heat resistance,and the tribological and mechanical properties of common polymer matrices,as well as the categories of functional fillers that improve the coating performance.Applicable scopes,process parameters,advantages,and limitations of the preparation methods of polymer coatings are discussed in detail.The tribological properties of the composite coatings with different matrices and fillers are compared,and the lubrication mechanisms are analyzed.Fillers reduce friction by promoting the formation of transfer films or liquid shear films.Improvement of the mechanical properties of the composite coatings with fillers of different morphologies is described in terms of strengthening and toughening mechanisms,including a stress transfer mechanism,shear yielding,crack bridging,and interfacial debonding.The test and enhancement methods for the adhesion properties between the coating and substrate are discussed.The coating adhesion can be enhanced through mechanical treatment,chemical treatment,and energy treatment of the substrate.Finally,we propose the design strategies for high-performance polymer composite coating systems adapted to specific operating conditions,and the limitations of current polymer composite coating research are identified. | Yilong REN Lin ZHANG Guoxin XIE Zhanbo LI Hao CHEN Hanjun GONG Wenhu XU Dan GUO Jianbin LUO | 2021 | Friction2021,9,3: | 13 |
| 4 | INFORMATION STRUCTURES AND PRICING DECISIONS IN COMPETING SUPPLY CHAINS显示文摘The paper investigates the pricing decisions of two competing supply chains under the different information structures. Each retailer has private information about the market demand and has the right to decide whether or not to share the information with the manufacturer. Three demand-information structures, i.e., information sharing in both supply chains, information sharing in only one supply chain and information sharing in neither supply chain, are considered. We investigate the value of information by comparing the information structures, and find that the information value not only works in the channel directly, but also does in the competing channel indirectly. Information sharing in a supply chain always benefits its manufacturer, but hurts its retailer; while it benefits both the manufacturer and the retailer of competing supply chain, regardless of whether this competing supply chain has information sharing. From the perspective of channel, when the competition is more intense, information sharing in a supply chain makes this supply chain better off, and when the competition is less intense, the information sharing in a supply chain makes this supply chain worse off. | 5 | Isolation and identification of the thermophilic alkaline desulphuricant strain显示文摘A desulfurization strain that belongs to the thermophilic alkaline desulphuricant is designated as strain GDJ-3 and isolated from Inner Mongolia, China. The colony of the strain shows tiny, yellow, or white-yellow, and it becomes henna with the protracting of cultivated time. The cells are bacilliform (0.3 -0.6 × 1.0-1.2 μm), motive, and Gram negative. The strain GDJ-3 is able to utilize respectively the thiosulphate, sulfate, sulfite, or sulfide as sulfur source, utilize the carbon dioxide as the carbon source, and utilize the ammonium or nitrate as the nitrogen source. According to GenBank data, 16s RNA results of GDJ-3 are in good agreement with Alpha proteobacterrium sp. (97%) and Ochrobactrum sp. (98%). For GDJ-3, the optimum growth temperature is at 45℃, the optimum pH is at 8.5-8.8, and the optimum rocking speed of sorting table is at 150 r/min. Under the optimum culture condition, the cells of the strain can live for about 18 h. In the desulfurization solution, which is prepared according to the composition of DDS solution, the objectionable constituents of sodium thiosulphate and sodium sulfide were added factitiously, and the bacterial cell concentration was set at 107/mL. After the regeneration of the above desulfurization solution by the strain cells, the concentration of sodium thiosulphate was decreased by 14.75 g/L (percentage loss of content 13.21%), the concentration of sodium sulfide was decreased by 0.76 g/L (percentage loss of content 87.36%) in the desulfurization solution in 9.5 hours, and sulfur appeared. | 7 | Tribological Properties of Few-layer Graphene Oxide Sheets as Oil-Based Lubricant Additives显示文摘The performance of a lubricant largely depends on the additives it involves. However, currently used additives cause severe pollution if they are burned and exhausted. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new generation of green additives. Graphene oxide(GO) consists of only C, H and O and thus is considered to be environmentally friendly. So the tribological properties of the few-layer GO sheet as an additive in hydrocarbon base oil are investigated systematically. It is found that, with the addition of GO sheets, both the coefficient of friction(COF) and wear are decreased and the working temperature range of the lubricant is expanded in the positive direction. Moreover, GO sheets has better performance under higher sliding speed and the optimized concentration of GO sheets is determined to be 0.5wt%. After rubbing, GO is detected on the wear scars through Raman spectroscopy. And it is believed that, during the rubbing, GO sheets adhere to the sliding surfaces, behaving like protective films and preventing the sliding surfaces from contacting with each other directly. | 18 | In situ monitoring of the structural change of microemulsions in simulated gastrointestinal conditions by SAXS and FRET显示文摘Microemulsions are promising drug delivery systems for the oral administration of poorly watersoluble drugs. However, the evolution of microemulsions in the gastrointestinal tract is still poorly characterized,especially the structural change of microemulsions under the effect of lipase and mucus. To better understand the fate of microemulsions in the gastrointestinal tract, we applied small-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS) and fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET) to monitor the structural change of microemulsions under the effect of lipolysis and mucus. First, the effect of lipolysis on microemulsions was studied by SAXS, which found the generation of liquid crystalline phases. Meanwhile, FRET spectra indicated micelles with smaller particle sizes were generated during lipolysis, which could be affected by CaCl_2, bile salts and lecithin. Then, the effect of mucus on the structural change of lipolysed microemulsions was studied. The results of SAXS and FRET indicated that the liquid crystalline phases disappeared, and more micelles were generated. | 20 | Improvement of the lubrication properties of grease with Mn_(3)O_(4)/graphene (Mn_(3)O_(4)#G) nanocomposite additive显示文摘Although grease can effectively lubricate machines,lubrication failure may occur under high speed and heavy load conditions.In this study,Mn_(3)O_(4)/graphene nanocomposites(Mn_(3)O_(4)#G)were synthetized using a hydrothermal method as lubricant additives.The lubrication properties of compound grease with Mn_(3)O_(4)#G nanocomposite additive under heavy contact loads of 600–900 N(3.95–4.59 GPa)were investigated.First,the nanocomposites were dispersed into L-XBCEA 0 lithium grease via successive electromagnetic stirring,ultrasound vibration,and three-roll milling.Compound grease with additives of commercial graphene(Com#G)was also investigated for comparison.Tribological test results revealed that the trace amounts of Mn_(3)O_(4)#G(as low as 0.02 wt%)could reduce the coefficient of friction(COF)of grease significantly.When the concentration of Mn_(3)O_(4)#G was 0.1 wt%,the COF and wear depth were 43.5%and 86.1%,lower than those of pure graphene,respectively.In addition,under the effect of friction,the microstructure of graphene in Mn_(3)O_(4)#G nanocomposites tends to be ordered and normalized.Furthermore,most of the Mn_(3)O_(4) transformed into Mn_(2)O_(3) owing to the high temperature generated from friction.Using the Ar gas cluster ion beam sputtering method,the thickness of the tribofilm was estimated to be 25–34 nm.Finally,the improvement of the lubrication properties was attributed to the synergistic effect of the adsorbed tribofilm,i.e.,the graphene island effect and the filling effect of Mn_(3)O_(4)#G. | Bao JIN Guangyan CHEN Jun ZHAO Yongyong HE Yiyao HUANG Jianbin LUO | 2021 | Friction2021,9,6: | 2 |
