1Space experimental studies of microgravity fluid science in China显示文摘Microgravity fluid physics is an important part of microgravity sciences, which consists of simple fluids of many new systems, gas-liquid two-phase flow and heat transfer, and complex fluid mechanics. In addition to the importance of itself in sciences and applications, microgravity fluid physics closely relates to microgravity combustion, space biotechnology and space materials science, and promotes the developments of interdisciplinary fields. Many space microgravity experiments have been performed on board the recoverable satellites and space ships of China and pushed the rapid development of microgravity sciences in China. 2Two-phase Flow Patterns in a Square Mini-channel显示文摘This paper presents a new set of experimental data of air-water flow patterns in a channel with a cross-section of 1×1 mm2. The ranges of the gas and liquid superficial velocities are 0.1-10 m/s and 0.2~7 m/s, respectively. Bubble, bubble-slug, slug, and frothy flows are observed. The present data are compared with other data in mini-channels reported in literature, and also compared with those in normal channel at microgravity, in which the Bond number has the same order of magnitude. The slug-frothy boundary is in consistent with each other, but for the bubble-slug transition, a much smaller value for the transition quality in the drift-flux model is obtained in the present study than those predicted by the empirical relations for the case of microgravity. It’s shown that the mini-scale modeling may not be an effective way to anticipate the bubble-slug transition of two-phase flow at microgravity.Jianfu Zhao Gang Liu Bin Li 2004Journal of Thermal Science2004,13,2:2
3Glassy metallic plastics显示文摘This paper reports a class of bulk metallic glass including Ce-, LaCe-, CaLi-, Yb-, and Sr-based metallic glasses, which are regarded as glassy metallic plastics because they combine some unique properties of both plastics and metallic alloys. These glassy metallic plastics have very low glass transition temperature (Tg^25oC to 150oC) and low Young’s modulus (~20 GPa to 35 GPa). Similar to glassy plastics, these metallic plastics show excellent plastic-like deformability on macro-, micro- and even nano-scale in their supercooled liquid range and can be processed, such as elongated, compressed, bent, and imprinted at low temperatures, in hot water for instance. Under ambient conditions, they display such metallic properties as high thermal and electric conductivities and excellent mechanical properties and other unique properties. 5Structural and optical properties of Dy^(3+):YAlO3 phosphors for yellow light-emitting diode applications显示文摘The spectroscopic properties of a series of Dy^(3+)single-doped and Dy^(3+)/Nd^(3+),Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+),and Dy^(3+)/Tm^(3+)co-doped YAlO_(3)(yttrium aluminum perovskite,YAP)phosphors were investigated and compared through the measurements of optical absorption,emission spectra,and fluorescence decay curves.For the Dy^(3+)ion single-doped samples,the intensity of each absorption band increases with an increment in Dy^(3+)ion doping concentration,and the identified strong absorption peak at 447 nm indicates that Dy^(3+):YAP phosphors are suitable to be pumped by a blue laser diode(LD).For all co-doped samples,absorption peaks of Dy^(3+)ion along with some of the absorption bands of Nd^(3+),Tb^(3+),and Tm^(3+)ions are observed.Under 351 and 447 nm excitation,a prominent emission peak at 572 nm was obtained in all the samples,corresponding to Dy^(3+):^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2)transition.Here,2 at%Dy^(3+):YAP phosphor exhibits the highest yellow emission intensity under 447 nm pumping.Among the three kinds of Dy^(3+)co-doped phosphors,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+):YAP phosphor possesses the dominant yellow emission.The fluorescence decay curves show exponential behaviour and are fitted well.The Commission International de L’Eclairage(CIE)chromaticity coordinates were calculated following the respective emission spectra,and it is found that all the coordinates locate in the yellow region.The energy transfer(ET)processes were investigated and the concentration quenching mechanism was discussed.The obtained results suggest that Dy^(3+)-activated YAP phosphors are good candidates for yellow LED applications.Yingshu Lian Yan Wang Jianfu Li Zhaojie Zhu Zhenyu You Chaoyang Tu Yadong Xu Wanqi Jie 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,8:2

7The electrical property of MnCo_2O_4 and its application for SUS 430 metallic interconnect显示文摘The conductivity of MnCo2O4 spinel,the best route to form the MnCo2O4 protective coating applied by the sol-gel process,and its effect on the intermediate temperature oxidation behavior of SUS 430 alloy,a typical material for the interconnect of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC),was investigated.The phase structure and surface morphology of the coating and surface oxides were characterized by XRD,SEM and EDS;the '4-probe' method was employed to determine the conductivity of MnCo2O4 spinel and the area specific resistance(ASR)of the surface oxides.The conductivity of MnCo2O4 spinel is excellent,which is 2 orders of magnitude better than that of MnCr2O4 spinel.Long-term thermally cyclic oxidation at 750°C in SOFC cathode atmosphere and ASR measurement have shown that calcined in reducing atmosphere followed by pre-oxidation in the air is the best technique for forming the MnCo2O4 protective coating,which enhances the oxidation resistance,and improves the electrical conductivity and adherence of coated SUS 430 alloy significantly.As a result,the MnCo2O4 spinel is the most potential candidate for SOFC metallic interconnect protective coating application.HUA Bin KONG YongHong LU FengShuang ZHANG JianFu PU Jian LI Jian 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,33:2

19Gradual daylength sensing coupled with optimum cropping modes enhances multi-latitude adaptation of rice and maize显示文摘To expand crop planting areas,reestablishment of crop latitude adaptation based on genetic variation in photoperiodic genes can be performed,but it is quite time consuming.By contrast,a crop variety that already exhibits multi-latitude adaptation has the potential to increase its planting areas to be more widely and quickly available.However,the importance and potential of multi-latitude adaptation of crop varieties have not been systematically described.Here,combining daylength-sensing data with the cropping system of elite rice and maize varieties,we found that varieties with gradual daylength sensing coupled with optimum cropping modes have an enhanced capacity for multi-latitude adaptation in China.Furthermore,this multi-latitude adaptation expanded their planting areas and indirectly improved China’s nationwide rice and maize unit yield.Thus,coupling the daylength-sensing process with optimum cropping modes to enhance latitude adaptability of excellent varieties represents an exciting approach for deploying crop varieties with the potential to expand their planting areas and quickly improve nationwide crop unit yield in developing countries.Xiaoying Wang Jiupan Han Rui Li Leilei Qiu Cheng Zhang Ming Lu Rongyu Huang Xiangfeng Wang Jianfu Zhang Huaan Xie Shigui Li Xi Huang Xinhao Ouyang 2023Plant Communications2023,4,1:1
