1Design and field tests of a deck-extension bridge with small box girder显示文摘A jointless bridge could fundamentally eliminate vulnerable deck joints, thereby meeting the need for sustainable development of bridges, especially for an expressway with highspeed traffic. In this paper, one jointless bridge(deck-extension bridge) with a small box girder in an expressway was chosen as a case study to examine the structural design,construction and field test. The field tests of the bridge indicated that the designed and constructed structures can satisfy the requirement for service performance of the deckextension bridge. Some key technologies, such as the position of longitudinal reinforcements in the superstructure-approach slab connections and the arrangement of the sliding material layers, were introduced. The longitudinal thermal movement of the superstructure in the deck-extension bridge with a small box girder could be predicted accurately by using the average temperature of the cross section of a small box girder. The finite element model, built by using the MIDAS program, was used to analyze the temperature distribution on the cross section of a small box girder, the accuracy of which could be verified by comparing with the measured values. 2Source apportionment of ambient PM_(10) in urban areas of Wuxi,China显示文摘A total of 168 PM_(10)samples were collected during the year of 2005 at eight sites in the city of Wuxi in China.Fifteen chemical elements,three water-soluble ions,total carbon and organic carbon were analyzed.Six source categories were identified and their contributions to ambient PM_(10)in Wuxi were estimated using a nested chemical mass balance method that reduces the effects of colinearity on the chemical mass balance model.In addition,the concentrations of secondary aerosols,such as secondary organic carbon,sulfate and nitrate,were quantified.The spatially averaged PM_(10)was high in the spring and winter(123μg·m^(-3)and low in the summer-fall(90μg·m^(-3)).According to the result of source apportionment,resuspended dust was the largest contributor to ambient PM_(10),accounting for more than 50%of the PM_(10)mass.Coal combustion(14.6%)and vehicle exhaust(9.4%)were also significant source categories of ambient PM_(10).Construction and cement dust,sulfates,secondary organic carbon,and nitrates made contributions ranging between 4.1%and 4.9%.Other source categories such as steel manufacturing dust and soil dust made low contributions to ambient PM_(10).Bo HAN Xiaohui BI Yonghua XUE Jianhui WU Tan ZHU Baogui ZHANG Jianqing DING Yuanxin DU 2011Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2011,5,4:5
3Exposure measurement, risk assessment and source identification for exposure of traffic assistants to particle-bound PAHs in Tianjin, China显示文摘To investigate the levels of exposure to particulate-bound polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH) and to estimate the risk these levels pose to traffic assistants(TAs) in Tianjin(a megacity in North China), a measurement campaign(33 all-day exposure samples, 25 occupational-exposure samples and 10 indoor samples) was conducted to characterize the TAs' exposure to PAHs, assess the cancer risk and identify the potential sources of exposure. The average total exposure concentration of 14 PAHs was approximately 2871 ± 928 ng/m3(on-duty), and 1622 ± 457 ng/m3(all-day). The indoor PAHs level was 1257 ± 107 ng/m3. After 8000 Monte Carlo simulations, the cancer risk resulting from exposure to PAHs was found to be approximately 1.05 × 10-4. A multivariate analysis was applied to identify the potential sources, and the results showed that, in addition to vehicle exhaust, coal combustion and cooking fumes were also another two important contributors to personal PAH exposure. 6UAV-based spatial pattern of three-dimensional green volume and its influencing factors in Lingang New City in Shanghai,China显示文摘Three-dimensional green volume(TDGV)reflects the quality and quantity of urban green space and its provision of ecosystem services;therefore,its spatial pattern and the underlying influential factors play important roles in urban planning and management.However,little is known about the factors contributing to the spatial pattern of TDGV.In this paper,TDGV and land use intensity(LUI)extracted from high spatial resolution(0.05 m)remotely sensed data acquired by an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV),anthropogenic factors^(1))and natural factors^(2))were utilized to identify the spatial pattern of TDGV and the potential influencing factors in Lingang New City,a rapidly developed coastal town in Shanghai.The results showed that most of the TDGV was distributed in the western part of this new city and that its spatial variations were significantly axial.TDGV corresponded well with the chronologies of land formation,urban planning,and construction in the city.Generalized least squares(GLS)analysis of TDGV(grid cell size:100×100 m)and its influencing factors showed that the TDGV in this new city was significantly negatively correlated with both LUI and distance from roads and significantly positively correlated with land formation time and distance from water.Distance from buildings did not affect TDGV.Additionally,the degree of influence decreased in the following order:distance from water>land formation time>distance from roads>LUI.These results indicate that the spatial pattern of TDGV in this new town was mainly affected by natural factors(i.e.,the distance from water and land formation time)and that the artificial disturbances caused by rapid urbanization did not decrease the regional TDGV.The main factors shaping the spatial distribution of TDGV in this city were local natural factors.Our findings suggest that the improvement in local soil and water conditions should be emphasized in the construction of new cities in coastal areas to ensure the efficient provision of ecological services by urban green spaces.Sijun ZHENG Chen MENG Jianhui XUE Yongbo WU Jing LIANG Liang XIN Lang ZHANG 2021Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,3:1
7Heating-induced aggregation control for efficient sequential-cast organic solar cells显示文摘The aggregation and morphology within the photoactive layer is of considerable significance to boost the power-conversion efficiency(PCE)of organic solar cells(OSCs).Herein,heating-induced aggregation control of nonfullerene acceptor BTPeC7 during sequential casting was demonstrated.The large aggregates of BTP-eC7 can be significantly reduced by sequential casting of BTP-eC7 hot solution on the D18 fibrillar layer,and further eliminated by sequential casting of BTP-eC7 hot solution on the D18 fibrillar layer heated on hot substrate,leading to stronger faceonπ–πstacking and appropriate phase separation within the photoactive layer to promote exciton dissociation and charge transfer.The maximum PCE of D18/BTPeC7 solar cells can be enhanced from 8.1%of room temperature casting to 15.9%of hot solution,hot-substrate casting,therefore demonstrates that heating-induced aggregation and sequential-casting strategies are a promising approach in improving the performance of OSCs employing nonfullerene acceptors with limited solubility or strong crystallization ability.Donghui Li Chuanhang Guo Xue Zhang Baocai Du Pang Wang Shili Cheng Jinlong Cai Hui Wang Dan Liu Huifeng Yao Jianhui Hou Tao Wang 2022Aggregate2022,3,3:0
8Molecular dynamics simulation study onπ-πstacking of Gemini surfactants in oil/water systems显示文摘Whereas theπ-πstacking interactions at oil/water interfaces can affect interfacial structures hence the interfacial properties,the underlying microscopic mechanism remains largely unknown.We reported an all-atom molecular dynamics(MD)simulation study to demonstrate how the Gemini surfactants with pyrenyl groups affect the interracial properties,structural conformations,and the motion of molecules in the water/n-octane/surfactant ternary systems.It is found that the pyrenyl groups tend to be vertical to the interface owing to theπ-πstacking interaction.Besides,a synergistic effect between theπ-πinteraction and steric hindrance is found,which jointly affects the coalescence of liquid droplets.Therefore,the existence of aromatic groups and a moderate number of surfactants helps to form microemulsion.This work provides a molecular understanding of Gemini surfactants with aromatic groups in microemulsion preparation and applications.Jule Ma Peiwen Xiao Pingmei Wang Xue Han Jianhui Luo Ruifang Shi Xuan Wang Xianyu Song Shuangliang Zhao 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,10:0

10Non-fullerene acceptor pre-aggregates enable high efficiency pseudo-bulk heterojunction organic solar cells显示文摘Pseudo-bulk heterojunction(BHJ)fabricated by sequential casting of donor and acceptor layers has been recently demonstrated as a superior structure to prepare organic solar cells(OSCs)with enhanced efficiency compared to the conventional BHJ OSCs cast from a common solution of donors and acceptors.However,molecular diffusion and aggregation within the pseudo-BHJ layer bring great challenges to fully realize the advantage of pseudo-BHJ structure.Herein,a solution-incubated pre-aggregation strategy is employed to tune the nanoscale aggregates of non-fullerene acceptor(NFA)BTP-e C11 and N3 to substantially enhance device power-conversion efficiency(PCE).NFA pre-aggregates are incubated in solutions via aging or adding antisolvent,and then sequentially cast onto D18 fibrillar network,which then penetrate to form a pseudo-BHJ structure with appropriate domain sizes to ensure superior charge mobilities.While the conventional pseudo-BHJ OSCs obtain inferior PCEs below 17%compared with normal BHJ OSCs,NFA pre-aggregates help to achieve remarkable PCEs of 17.7%and 17.5%for D18/BTP-e C11 and D18/N3 pseudo-BHJ OSCs.This work demonstrates that the solution-incubated nanoscale pre-aggregation is an efficient approach to regulate molecular diffusion and aggregation to guarantee high performance pseudo-BHJ OSCs.Donghui Li Chuanhang Guo Xue Zhang Baocai Du Cong Yu Pang Wang Shili Cheng Liang Wang Jinlong Cai Hui Wang Dan Liu Huifeng Yao Yanming Sun Jianhui Hou Tao Wang 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,2:0
