1Preliminary results of FeO mapping using Imaging Interferometer data from Chang'E-1显示文摘Information about the variability,and spatial distribution of iron abundance is important to understand lunar geological history and for future resource utilization. In this paper we present a preliminary model to produce an iron abundance map using images taken by an Imaging Interferometer on board the satellite Chang'E-1. Compared with the Clementine UVVIS images,the images from the Chang'E-1 satellite also allowed for the extraction of FeO abundance distributions on the Moon. 3Preliminary results of TiO_2 mapping using Imaging Interferometer data from Chang'E-1显示文摘The distribution of titanium abundance on the lunar surface is important knowledge for lunar geologic studies and future resource utilization.In this paper,we develop a preliminary model based on'ground truths'from Apollo and Luna sample-return sites to produce a titanium abundance map from Chang’E-1 Imaging Interferometer(IIM) images.The derived TiO2 abundances are validated with Clementine UVVIS results in several regions,including lunar highlands neighboring the Apollo 16 landing site,and high-Ti and low-Ti maria near the standard site of Mare Serenitatis(MS2) .The validation results show that TiO2 abundances modeled with Chang’E-1 IIM data are overestimated for highlands(~0.7 wt.%) and low-Ti maria(~1.5 wt.%) and underestimated for high-Ti maria(~0.8 wt.%).LING ZongCheng ZHANG Jiang LIU JianZhong ZHANG WenXi ZHANG GuangLiang LIU Bin REN Xin MU LingLi LIU JianJun LI ChunLai 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,20:10
4Neural stem cell transplantation with Nogo-66 receptor gene silencing to treat severe traumatic brain injury显示文摘Inhibition of neurite growth, which is mediated by the Nogo-66 receptor (NgR), affects nerve regeneration following neural stem cell (NSC) transplantation. The present study utilized RNA interference to silence NgR gene expression in NSCs, which were subsequently transplanted into rats with traumatic brain injury. Following transplantation of NSCs transfected with small interfering RNA, typical neural cell-like morphology was detected in injured brain tissues, and was accompanied by absence of brain tissue cavity, increased growth-associated protein 43 mRNA and protein expression, and improved neurological function compared with NSC transplantation alone. 6Epidemiology of urticaria in China:a population-based study显示文摘Background:Urticaria is a common skin disease characterized by episodes of wheals,and it has a negative effect on patients’quality of life.Large-scale population-based epidemiological studies of urticaria are scarce in China.The aim of this survey was to determine the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria in the Chinese population.Methods:This survey was conducted in 35 cities from 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities of China.Two to three communities in each city were selected in this investigation.Participants completed questionnaires and received dermatological examinations.We analyzed the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria.Results:In total,44,875 questionnaires were distributed and 41,041 valid questionnaires were collected(17,563 male and 23,478 female participants).The lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%,with 8.26%in female and 6.34%in male individuals(P<0.05).The point prevalence of urticaria was 0.75%,with 0.79%in female and 0.71%in male individuals(P<0.05).Concomitant angioedema was found in 6.16%of patients.Adults had a higher prevalence of urticaria than adolescents and children.Living in urban areas,exposure to pollutants,an anxious or depressed psychological status,a personal and family history of allergy,thyroid diseases,and Helicobacter pylori infection were associated with a higher prevalence of urticaria.Smoking was correlated with a reduced risk of urticaria.Conclusion:This study demonstrated that the lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%and the point prevalence was 0.75%in the Chinese population;women had a higher prevalence of urticaria than men.Various factors were correlated with urticaria.Jiaqing Li Dandan Mao Shuoshuo Liu Ping Liu Jing Tian Chenhong Xue Xiaojing Liu Ruiqun Qi Bingxue Bai Jianjun Nie Siqi Ye Yu Wang Yuye Li Qing Sun Juan Tao Shuping Guo Hong Fang Jianqin Wang Qiri Mu Quanzhong Liu Yan Ding Jianzhong Zhang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11:6

8Ericoid mycorrhizal fungus enhances microcutting rooting of Rhododendron fortunei and subsequent growth显示文摘Adventitious root(AR)formation is a unique feature of plant reproduction and plays a vital role in crop production as many horticultural and forestry plants are propagated through cuttings.A growing number of reports have shown that microbes,particularly mycorrhizal fungi are able to promote AR formation,but the underlying mechanisms remain largely unclear.This study established an in vitro culture system and investigated AR formation in microcuttings of Rhododendron fortunei Lindl.inoculated with Oidiodendron maius Barron Om19,an ericoid mycorrhizal fungus strain.Hormones and precursors involved in the biosynthesis of indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)in Om19 mycelium were analyzed.Om19 was able to produce a large quantity of tryptophan(Trp)and also indole-3-pyruvate(IPA)and IAA,indicating that IAA biosynthesis in Om19 could be through a Trp-dependent pathway.After inoculation of Om19,ARs were quickly formed in microcuttings.Symbiosis related genes were activated in ARs,and Om19 effectively colonized the roots.YUC3,a key gene in plant biosynthesis of IAA and genes involved in nitrogen(N)uptake and metabolism,phosphorus(P)uptake were highly upregulated.Plants absorbed significantly greater quantity of mineral nutrients,and their growth was substantially enhanced compared to the control plants without Om19 inoculation.A working model for Om19 enhanced AR formation was proposed.The rapid formation of ARs in cuttings could be due in part to the induction of IAA biosynthesized by Om19 and also attributed to Trp catalyzed biosynthesis of IAA in plants.AR formation,in turn,provided Om19 preferred sites for colonization.Our study suggested that in addition to promoting AR formation,Om19 could potentially be used as a new biofertilizer for enhancing production of ericaceous plants,such as blueberry,cranberry,and rhododendron.Xiangying Wei Jianjun Chen Chunying Zhang Hong Liu Xiuxia Zheng Jingli Mu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:2
9Lowering the Error Floor of ADMM Penalized Decoder for LDPC Codes显示文摘Decoding by alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM) is a promising linear programming decoder for low-density parity-check(LDPC) codes. In this paper, we propose a two-step scheme to lower the error floor of LDPC codes with ADMM penalized decoder.For the undetected errors that cannot be avoided at the decoder side, we modify the code structure slightly to eliminate low-weight code words. For the detected errors induced by small error-prone structures, we propose a post-processing method for the ADMM penalized decoder. 15Enhanced CD19 activity in B cells contributes to immunodeficiency in mice deficient in the ICF syndrome gene Zbtb24显示文摘Immunodeficiency,centromeric instability,and facial anomalies(ICF)syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by DNA hypomethylation and antibody deficiency.It is caused by mutations in DNMT3B,ZBTB24,CDCA7,or HELLS.While progress has been made in elucidating the roles of these genes in regulating DNA methylation,little is known about the pathogenesis of the life-threatening hypogammaglobulinemia phenotype.Here,we show that mice deficient in Zbtb24 in the hematopoietic lineage recapitulate the major clinical features of patients with ICF syndrome.Specifically,Vav-Cre-mediated ablation of Zbtb24 does not affect lymphocyte development but results in reduced plasma cells and low levels of IgM,IgG1,and IgA.Zbtb24-deficient mice are hyper and hypo-responsive to T-dependent and T-independent type 2 antigens,respectively,and marginal zone B-cell activation is impaired.Mechanistically,Zbtb24-deficient B cells show severe loss of DNA methylation in the promoter region of Il5ra(interleukin-5 receptor subunit alpha),and Il5ra derepression leads to elevated CD19 phosphorylation.Heterozygous disruption of Cd19 can revert the hypogammaglobulinemia phenotype of Zbtb24-deficient mice.Our results suggest the potential role of enhanced CD19 activity in immunodeficiency in ICF syndrome.Zhengzhou Ying Swanand Hardikar Joshua B.Plummer Tewfik Hamidi Bin Liu Yueping Chen Jianjun Shen Yunxiang Mu Kevin M.McBride Taiping Chen 2023Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,12:0

17Hepatic retinaldehyde deficiency is involved in diabetes deterioration by enhancing PCK1-and G6PC-mediated gluconeogenesis显示文摘Type 2 diabetes(T2D) is often accompanied with an induction of retinaldehyde dehydrogenase 1(RALDH1 or ALDH1A1) expression and a consequent decrease in hepatic retinaldehyde(Rald)levels. However, the role of hepatic Rald deficiency in T2D progression remains unclear. In this study, we demonstrated that reversing T2D-mediated hepatic Rald deficiency by Rald or citral treatments, or liverspecific Raldh1 silencing substantially lowered fasting glycemia levels, inhibited hepatic glucogenesis,and downregulated phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1(PCK1) and glucose-6-phosphatase(G6PC)expression in diabetic db/db mice. Fasting glycemia and Pck1/G6pc mRNA expression levels were strongly negatively correlated with hepatic Rald levels, indicating the involvement of hepatic Rald depletion in T2D deterioration. A similar result that liver-specific Raldh1 silencing improved glucose metabolism was also observed in high-fat diet-fed mice. In primary human hepatocytes and oleic acidtreated HepG2 cells, Rald or Rald + RALDH1 silencing resulted in decreased glucose production and downregulated PCK1/G6PC mRNA and protein expression. Mechanistically, Rald downregulated direct repeat 1-mediated PCK1 and G6PC expression by antagonizing retinoid X receptor a, as confirmed by luciferase reporter assays and molecular docking. 18Flexible multilayer MEMS coils and their application in energy harvesters显示文摘Electromagnetic vibration energy harvesters are promising for the power supply of wireless sensor nodes,small electronic devices,and wearable electronics.Conventional electromagnetic harvesters usually increase output by increasing the size of coils and magnets,limiting the improvement of energy conversion efficiency and power density.In this study,multilayer microelectromechanical system(MEMS)coils were prepared using flexible electronics,and their high integration performance in arbitrary space was utilized to greatly improve the utilization of the space magnetic field by the electromagnetic harvester.The core magnet of the generator was magnetically balanced to achieve levitation,which improved the sensitivity and reduced fatigue damage compared with traditional spring structures.The wound coils on the top and bottom of the magnet and the flexible coils on the sides worked together to improve the energy efficiency and output of the devices.The output performance of the device with different number distributions was simulated using mathematical models to obtain the optimal structural parameters.The results show that by introducing flexible multilayer MEMS coils on the side surface of the energy harvester,the open-circuit voltage of the energy generators increased from 7 to 10 V by more than 43%.Flexible multilayer MEMS coils can enhance energy conversion rates and possess compact dimensions,making them suitable for integration onto complex surfaces.After the vibration energy harvesting system testing,the maximum peak power of the harvester was 7.1 m W at an acceleration of1 g and a resonant frequency of 11 Hz with a resistor of 3.5 kΩinternal resistance.Moreover,a 470μF capacitor can be charged to 3.5 V within 10 s to drive a hygrothermograph to work for more than 80 s and can supply a light bulb continuously.This strategy shows the great potential of vibration-energy-driven electromagnetic generators for powering small electronics in limited spaces.ZHANG Jie HOU XiaoJuan QIAN Shuo BI XiaoXue HU DongXu LIU JianJun GENG WenPing MU JiLiang HE Jian CHOU XiuJian 2024Science China(Technological Sciences)2024,67,4:0
19Exact thresholds for low-density parity-check codes over the binary erasure channel显示文摘A simple method for determining the threshold of irregular LDPC codes over the binary erasure channel (BEC) under message-passing decoding is proposed. An exact formula for calculating the threshold of irregular LDPC codes over the BEC is proved. This generalizes the known result on the threshold of regular LDPC codes to irregular LDPC codes. Moreover, our new method can avoid the computation of the inverse of the degree distribution function for irregular LDPC codes. 20Robust Carbonated Structural Color Barcodes with Ultralow Ontology Fluorescence as Biomimic Culture Platform显示文摘Photonic crystal(PC)barcodes are a new type of spectrum-encoding microcarriers used in multiplex high-throughput bioassays,such as broad analysis of biomarkers for clinical diagnosis,gene expression,and cell culture.Unfortunately,most of these existing PC barcodes suffered from undesired features,including difficult spectrum-signal acquisition,weak mechanical strength,and high ontology fluorescence,which limited their development to real applications.To address these limitations,we report a new type of structural color-encoded PC barcodes.The barcodes are fabricated by the assembly of monodisperse polydopamine-(PDA-)coated silica(PDA@SiO_(2))nanoparticles using a droplet-based microfluidic technique and followed by pyrolysis of PDA@SiO_(2)(C@SiO_(2))barcodes.Because of the templated carbonization of adhesive PDA,the prepared C@SiO_(2)PC beads were endowed with simultaneous easy-to-identify structural color,high mechanical strength,and ultralow ontology fluorescence.We demonstrated that the structural colored C@SiO_(2)barcodes not only maintained a high structural stability and good biocompatibility during the coculturing with fibroblasts and tumor cells capture but also achieved an enhanced fluorescentreading signal-to-noise ratio in the fluorescence-reading detection.These features make the C@SiO_(2)PC barcodes versatile for expansive application in fluorescence-reading-based multibioassays.Panmiao Liu Zhongde Mu Muhuo Ji Xiaojiang Liu Hanwen Gu Yi Peng Jianjun Yang Zhuoying Xie Fuyin Zheng 2021Research2021,,1:0
