Seafloor hydrothermal activity and polymetallic sulfide exploration on the southwest Indian ridge显示文摘Polymetallic sulfides have attracted more attentions, which are regarded as one of the potential seabed mineral resources for their high grade of precious metal elements such as Cu,Zn,Pb,Au,and Ag.Since2007,there are four China dayang cruises(CDCs)with eight legs totally, which have been carried out to investigate polymetallic sulfides on the southwest Indian ridge(SWIR),and eight hydrothermal vents have been found.In2011,the China Ocean Mineral Resources Research and Development Association(COMRA)and International Seabed Authority(ISA)signed a 15-year contract for exploration for polymetallic sulfides located on the SWIR between 46°S and 53°S.The area allocated to the COMRA is approximately 10,000 km2.In this paper,we review the recent research advances about hydrothermal activity of the SWIR by the CDCs.As for the sulfides exploration in the future, some aspects should be emphasized, such as the controlling factors of sulfide mineralization on the SWIR,prospecting methods of inactive and buried sulfide deposits, sulfides resources assessment method, and the nearbottom sulfides exploration technology systems. | Chunhui Tao Huaiming Li Xiaobing Jin Jianping Zhou Tao Wu Yonghua He Xianming Deng Chunhua Gu Guoyin Zhang Weiyong Liu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,19: | 25
Consensus among Chinese experts on standard interventional therapy for deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity(second edition)显示文摘This is an update on the first edition of the expert consensus. This document discusses the indications and contraindications of interventional treatment methods for deep venous thrombosis such as anticoagulation, catheter-directed thrombolysis, percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and stent implantation. The operational procedures, considerations, preoperative management, and prevention of complications were also updated, supplemented, and revised. Emphasis is placed on the interventional treatment of acute and subacute deep venous thrombosis to effectively reduce the incidence of post-thrombosis syndrome. | Jianping Gu Ke Xu Gaojun Teng | 2018 | Journal of Interventional Medicine2018,1,3: | 16
Manual aspiration thrombectomy for acute and subacute inferior vena cava thrombosis and lower extremity deep venous thrombosis显示文摘Deep vein thrombosis(DVT), which can lead to pulmonary embolism(PE), is a major contributor to the global disease burden and is the third most common cardiovascular pathology after coronary artery disease and stroke. Venous thromboembolic disease, which encompasses the disease entities of DVT and PE, affects up to 10 million cases every year and represents a serious and potentially life-threatening condition. Standard anticoagulation therapy alone is ineffective at promoting deep venous system thrombus removal. Many patients develop postthrombotic syndrome(PTS) despite being on adequate anticoagulation therapy. Aggressive therapy for rapid thrombus removal is important to prevent the development of PTS. Besides impeding the onset of PTS, rapid clearance of the thrombus is also required in the treatment of phlegmasia cerulea dolens, an uncommon but life-threatening complication of acute DVT that can lead to arterial insufficiency, compartment syndrome, venous gangrene, and limb amputation. Manual aspiration thrombectomy(MAT) can provide rapid and effective therapy that could be compared to the open surgical thrombectomy approach with minimal risk of morbidity, mortality, or recurrence after surgery. Though many devices have been developed to date for pharmacomechanical thrombolysis, the cost of the treatment using these devices is very expensive. MAT is simple to perform, easy to learn, inexpensive, and rapid. This review will outline and dissect several studies and case reports, sourced from the Pub Med database, on the subject of the use of MAT in treating inferior vena cava thrombosis and lower extremity DVT, including in patients with compression of the iliac vein and phlegmasia cerulea dolens. | Janesya Sutedjo Yan Li Jianping Gu | 2018 | Journal of Interventional Medicine2018,1,4: | 14
Conventional versus drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization:A better option for treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) is a minimally invasive procedure involving intra-arterial catheter-based chemotherapy to selectively administer high doses of cytotoxic drugs to the tumor bed along with ischemic necrosis induced by arterial embolization.Chemoembolization forms the essential core of management in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) who are not suitable for curative therapies such as transplantation, resection,or percutaneous ablation.TACE of hepatic cancer(s) has proven to be helpful in achieving local tumor control, and has supported the ability to prevent tumor progression, prolong patient life, and manage patient symptoms.Recent data have demonstrated that,in patients with single-nodule HCC ≤3 cm without vascular invasion, the 5-year overall survival with TACE was found to be comparable with hepatic resection and radiofrequency ablation.Used for several years,Lipiodol continues to play a vital role as a tumor-seeking and radiopaque drug delivery vector in interventional oncology.Efforts have been made to enhance the administration of chemotherapeutic agents to tumors.Compared with conventional TACE,drug-eluting bead TACE is a fairly new drug delivery embolization technique that permits fixed dosing and has the ability to provide sustained release of anticancer agents over a period of time. The present review discusses the basic procedure of TACE and its properties, and the effectiveness of conventional and drug-eluting bead chemoembolization systems currently available or presently undergoing clinical evaluation. | Murtuza Razi Gu Jianping He Xu Mohammed Jameeluddin Ahmed | 2021 | Journal of Interventional Medicine2021,4,1: | 9
The spatial pattern of farming and factors influencing it during the Peiligang culture period in the middle Yellow River valley, China显示文摘The Peiligang culture(ca.7000–5000 cal BC)is the earliest Neolithic culture in the middle Yellow River valley and represents the emergence of cereal farming in the region[1].It has long been considered representative of millet farming[2],which requires a dry field,a certain amount of rainfall, and minimal crop management, but new records reveal that mixed farming of millet and rice(Oryza sp.)took place during this period[3].Therefore,it is possible | Can Wang Houyuan Lu Wanfa Gu Naiqin Wu Jianping Zhang Xinxin Zuo Fengjiang Li Daojing Wang Yajie Dong Songzhi Wang Yanfeng Liu Yingjian Bao Yayi Hu | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,23: | 6

Mineral phase and structure changes during roasting of fine-grained carbonaceous gold ores and their effects on gold leaching efficiency显示文摘While roasting has been widely applied to reduce the negative effect of carbonaceous matters on gold extraction from fine-grained carbonaceous gold ores, the phase and structure changes of minerals during roasting and their in fluences on the leachi ng rate of gold have not been fully understood. This limits the extraction of carbonaceous gold deposits. The current work examines the oxidation process of a fine-grained carbonaceous gold ore during roasting using a range of techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), seanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS) analysis and pore structure analysis together with gold leaching tests. The results show that during the process of oxidative roasting, the carbonaceous matters (organic carbon and graphitic carbon) and pyrite were completely decomposed at 600 ℃ with the carbonaceous components burned and pyrite oxidized into hematite. At 650 ℃, while dolomite was decomposed into calcia, magnesia, calcium sulfate etc., the calcine structure became loose and porous, leading to a high gold leaching rate from the roasted product. Above 750 ℃, the porous calcite structure started to collapse along with the agglomeration, leading to the secondary encapsulation of gold particles, which contributed to the sharp drop in the gold leaching rate of the roasted product. This study suggests optimum phase and structure changes of minerals during roasting to achieve maximum gold extraction from fine-grained carbonaceous gold deposits. | Jianping Jin Yuexin Han Hui Li Yangyang Huai Yongjun Peng Xiaotian Gu Wei Yang | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,5: | 4
Toll-like receptor 7 deficiency suppresses type 1 diabetes development by modulating B-cell differentiation and function显示文摘Innate immunity mediated by Toll-like receptors(TLRs),which can recognize pathogen molecular patterns, plays a critical role in type 1 diabetes development.TLR7 is a pattern recognition receptor that senses single-stranded RNAs from viruses and host tissue cells;however, its role in type 1 diabetes development remains unclear. In our study,we discovered that Tlr7-deficient(Tlr7^(−/−))nonobese diabetic(NOD)mice,a model of human type 1 diabetes, exhibited a significantly delayed onset and reduced incidence of type 1 diabetes compared with Tlr7-sufficient(Tlr7^(+/+))NOD mice.Mechanistic investigations showed that Tlr7 deficiency significantly altered B-cell differentiation and immunoglobulin production.Moreover,Tlr7^(−/−)NOD B cells were found to suppress diabetogenic CD4^(+)T-cell responses and protect immunodeficient NOD mice from developing diabetes induced by diabetogenic T cells. In addition,we found that Tlr7 deficiency suppressed the antigen-presenting functions of B cells and inhibited cytotoxic CD8^(+)T-cell activation by downregulating the expression of both nonclassical and classical MHC class I(MHC-I)molecules on B cells. Our data suggest that TLR7 contributes to type 1 diabetes development by regulating B-cell functions and subsequent interactions with T cells. Therefore, therapeutically targeting TLR7 may prove beneficial for disease protection. | Juan Huang Jian Peng James Alexander Pearson Georgios Efthimiou Youjia Hu Ningwen Tai Yanpeng Xing Luyao Zhang Jianlei Gu Jianping Jiang Hongyu Zhao Zhiguang Zhou F.Susan Wong Li Wen | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,2: | 3
Multiple structural defects in ultrathin NiFe-LDH nanosheets synergistically and remarkably boost water oxidation reaction显示文摘Modifying electrocatalysts nanostructures and tuning their electronic properties through defects-oriented synthetic strategies are:essential to improve the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance of electrocatalysts.Current synthetic strategies about.electrocatalysts mainly target the single or double structural defects, while the researches about the synergistic effect of multiple'structural defects are rare.In this work, the ultrathin NiFe layered double hydroxide nanosheets with a holey structure, oxygen;vacancies and Ni^(3+)defects on nickel foam(NiFe-LDH-NSs/NF)are prepared by employing a simple and green H202-assisted etching 1 method. The synergistic effect ofthe above three defects leads to the exposure of.more active sites and significant improvement of:the intrinsic activity. The optimized catalyst exhibits an excellent OER performance with an extraordinarily low overpotential of 170 mV;at to mA·cm^(-2) and a small Tafel slope of 39.3 mV·dec^(-1) in 1 M KOH solution.Density functional theory calculations reveal this OER;performance arises from pseudo re-oxidized metal-stable Ni^(3+)near oxygen vacancies(O_(vac)),which suppresses 3d-e_(g) of Ni-site and!elevates d-band center towards the competitively low electron-transferbarrier.This work provides a new insight to fabricate advanced electrocatalysts for renewable energy conversion technologies. | Zhongyin Zhao Qi Shao Jiangyan Xue Bolong Huang Zheng Niu Hongwei Gu Xiaoqing Huang Jianping Lang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 3
Comparison of tumor response following conventional versus drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization in early-and very early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To compare the safety of conventional transarterial chemoembolization(cTACE)vs drug-eluting bead TACE(DEB-TACE)in very early-and early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:Data of patients with early-and very early-stage HCC treated with cTACE or DEB-TACE were evaluated retrospectively in this study.A total of 40 patients were included,20 treated with cTACE and 20 with DEB-TACE.The cTACE and DEB-TACE groups were comprised of 80%and 75%males,while there were 20%females in cTACE group and 25%in Deb-TACE group respectively. The mean age of patients in cTACE group was 57.43+5.6 years, while it was 56.4+5.5 years in DEB-TACE group. All patients had liver status of Child–Pugh Class A and a score≤7 in Child-Pugh class type B in very early-(stage 0)or early-phase(stage A)stages according to the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC)system. Results:The Child-Pugh class degradation in the cTACE group was slightly higher than that in the DEB-TACE group.Serious complications like peritumoral parenchymal ischemia were observed in 4 patients in the cTACE group and 5 in the DEB-TACE group.Localized bile duct dilation was seen in 2 patients in the cTACE group and 6 in the DEB-TACE group. No significant variation in serious complications between the two groups was established in localized bile duct dilatation.Other minor complications noted were liver failure, liver abscess, liver infarction, acute cholecystitis, biliary tree necrosis, and mortality.Further,no substantial variation in tumor response between the groups was reported immediately and 1-year post-procedural assessment.Conversion rate to other treatment modalities such as surgical resection, radiofrequency ablation(RFA),or swap between cTACE and DEB-TACE was substantially higher in the DEB-TACE group(40%)than in the cTACE group(10%)at the 1-year completion period of the study. Conclusion:In terms of tumor response, the DEB-TACE group showed a better response,to some extent,as an initial therapy for HCC in the early stages as compared to the cTACE group, and DEB-TACE also exhibited better clinical efficacy in patients with HCC. | Murtuza Razi Syed Safiullah Jianping Gu Xu He Mustafa Razi Jie Kong | 2022 | Journal of Interventional Medicine2022,5,1: | 3
Atacamite and Nantokite in Kaerqueka Copper Deposit of Qimantag Area:Evidence for Cenozoic Climate Evolution of the Qaidam Basin显示文摘Using a mineralogy method to reflect climate evolution is a new approach to research Cenozoic environmental progression of the Qaidam Basin. In this paper, we present the chemical composition and crystallographic parameter of atacamite, nantokite, and tenorite in cryptocrystalline aggregates from the Kaerqueka copper deposit of Qimantag metallogenic belt by means of electron microprobe and in-situ X-ray diffraction analyses. Atacamite and nantokite occur in an intimate intergrowth as the secondary precipitation of chalcopyrite and bornite filling in the interstitial space of andradite in the Kaerqueka copper deposit, with an average composition of Cl: 12.38 wt.%, Cu: 63.76 wt.%, O: 21.46 wt.%. X-ray microdiffraction shows that the intergrowth contains nantokite with a cubic unit cell a=5.403(2) ? and atacamite with an orthorhombic unit cell a=6.030(3), b=6.883(2), c=9.114(1) ?. XRD quantitative calculation shows that the nanometric aggregate contains 36.07 wt.% tenorite, 18.41 wt.% atacamite, and 45.52 wt.% nantokite. The presence of nantokite and atacamite requires saline solutions for their formation and hyper-arid climate conditions for their preservation. Combined with the data of salt lakes and the pollen sequence of western China, we suggest that during the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the retreat of the Paratethys, saline water was forced to the surface through a basal fracture zone. In the hyper-arid climate of the Qaidam Basin, the recharge of groundwater by direct precipitation is negligible, and groundwater is derived from inflow from the salt lakes. Thus, atacamite is preserved. In addition, spertiniite in the edge and fractures of atacamite and nantokite may represent wetter climate after the formation of atacamite and nantokite. | Liwen Yi Xiangping Gu Anhuai Lu Xiangyu Li Dexian Zhang Zhiling Wang Jianping Liu Shuai Li Zhengxiang Shu Cui Yu Hongyan Zuo Can Shen | 2017 | Journal of Earth Science2017,28,3: | 3

Major and Trace Elements of Magnetite from the Qimantag Metallogenic Belt: Insights into Evolution of Ore–forming Fluids显示文摘Magnetite, as a genetic indicator of ores, has been studied in various deposits in the world. In this paper, we present textural and compositional data of magnetite from the Qimantag metallogenic belt of the Kunlun Orogenic Belt in China, to provide a better understanding of the formation mechanism and genesis of the metallogenic belt and to shed light on analytical protocols for the in situ chemical analysis of magnetite. Magnetite samples from various occurrences, including the ore–related granitoid pluton, mineralised endoskarn and vein–type iron ores hosted in marine carbonate intruded by the pluton, were examined using scanning electron microscopy and analysed for major and trace elements using electron microprobe and laser ablation–inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry. The field and microscope observation reveals that early–stage magnetite from the Hutouya and Kendekeke deposits occurs as massive or banded assemblages, whereas late–stage magnetite is disseminated or scattered in the ores. Early–stage magnetite contains high contents of Ti, V, Ga, Al and low in Mg and Mn. In contrast, late–stage magnetite is high in Mg, Mn and low in Ti, V, Ga, Al. Most magnetite grains from the Qimantag metallogenic belt deposits except the Kendekeke deposit plot in the ' Skarn ' field in the Ca+Al+Mn vs Ti+V diagram, far from typical magmatic Fe deposits such as the Damiao and Panzhihua deposits. According to the(Mg O+Mn O)–Ti O2–Al2O3 diagram, magnetite grains from the Kaerqueka and Galingge deposits and the No.7 ore body of the Hutouya deposit show typical characteristics of skarn magnetite, whereas magnetite grains from the Kendekeke deposit and the No.2 ore body of the Hutouya deposit show continuous elemental variation from magmatic type to skarn type. This compositional contrast indicates that chemical composition of magnetite is largely controlled by the compositions of magmatic fluids and host rocks of the ores that have reacted with the fluids. Moreover, a combination of petrography and magnetite geochemistry indicates that the formation of those ore deposits in the Qimantag metallogenic belt involved a magmatic–hydrothermal process. | YI Liwen GU Xiangping LU Anhuai LIU Jianping LEI Hao WANG Zhiling CUI Yu ZUO Hongyan SHEN Can | 2015 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,4: | 2
Conversion of Catalytically Inert 2D Bismuth Oxide Nanosheets for Effective Electrochemical Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Catalysis via Oxygen Vacancy Concentration Modulation显示文摘Oxygen vacancies(Vo)in electrocatalysts are closely correlated with the hydrogen evo-lution reaction(HER)activity. The role of vacancy defects and the effect of their concentration,how-ever,yet remains unclear.Herein,Bi2O3,an unfavorable electrocata-lyst for the HER due to a less than ideal hydrogen adsorption Gibbs free energy(ΔGH*),is utilized as a perfect model to explore the func-tion of Vo on HER performance.Through a facile plasma irradia-tion strategy,Bi2O3 nanosheets with different Vo concentrations are fabricated to evaluate the influence of defects on the HER process.Unexpectedly, while the generated oxygen vacancies contribute to the enhanced HER performance, higher Vo concentrations beyond a saturation value result in a significant drop in HER activity.By tunning the Vo concentration in the Bi_(2)O_(3)nanosheets via adjusting the treatment time, the Bi2O3 catalyst with an optimized oxygen vacancy concentration and detectable charge carrier concentration of 1.52×10^(24)cm^(−3)demonstrates enhanced HER performance with an overpotential of 174.2 mV to reach 10 mA cm^(−2),a Tafel slope of 80 mV dec−1,and an exchange current density of 316 mA cm−2 in an alkaline solution, which approaches the top-tier activity among Bi-based HER electrocatalysts.Density-functional theory calculations confirm the preferred adsorption of H*onto Bi2O3 as a function of oxygen chemical potential(ΔμO)and oxygen partial potential(PO2)and reveal that high Vo concentrations result in excessive stability of adsorbed hydrogen and hence the inferior HER activity. This study reveals the oxygen vacancy concentration-HER catalytic activity relationship and provides insights into activating catalytically inert materials into highly efficient electrocatalysts. | Ziyang Wu Ting Liao Sen Wang Janith Adikaram Mudiyanselage Aaron SMicallef Wei Li Anthony PO’Mullane Jianping Yang Wei Luo Kostya Ostrikov Yuantong Gu Ziqi Sun | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,6: | 2

One-pot pyrolysis synthesis of highly active Ru/RuOx nanoclusters for water splitting显示文摘Using simple methods to obtain efficient catalysts has been a long-standing goal for researchers. In this work, the employment of a one-pot pyrolysis reaction to achieve molecular confinement, has led to the preparation of ruthenium(Ru)-based nanoclusters in a carbon matrix.A unique feature of the synthetic approach employed is that solvent and substrates were calcined together. As solvent evaporates, during calcination, the substrates form a dense solid which has the effect of limiting the aggregation of Ru centers during the carbonization process. The catalyst prepared in this simple manner showed an impressively high activity with respect to the hydrogen/oxygen evolution reaction(HER/OER).The Ru nanoclusters(Ru NCs),as the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts, require ultralow overpotentials of 5 mV and 5.1 mV at-10 mA·cm^(-2) in 1.0 M KOH,and 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4),respectively.Furthermore,the catalyst prepared by the one-pot method has higher crystallinity,a higher Ru content and an ultrafine cluster size, which contributes to its exceptional electrochemical performance.Meanwhile, the RuO_(x) nanoclusters(RuO_(x) NCs),obtained by oxidizing the aforementioned Ru NCs,exhibited good oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance with an overpotential of 266 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2).When applied to overall water splitting,Ru/RuO_(x) nanoclusters as the cathode and anode catalysts can reach 10 mA·cm^(-2) at cell voltages of only 1.49 V in 1 M KOH. | Fengyuan Zhu Jiangyan Xue Lingjian Zeng Jingrui Shang Shuanglong Lu Xueqin Cao Brendan F.Abrahams Hongwei Gu Jianping Lang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,2: | 1
