2Optimizing food waste hydrothermal parameters to reduce Maillard reaction and increase volatile fatty acid production显示文摘The occurrence of the Maillard reaction and melanoidins formation during the hydrothermal treatment of food waste can reduce the yield of volatile fatty acids(VFA);however, few studies have investigated the adverse effects of the Maillard reaction. This study identified the impact of hydrothermal treatment parameters on hydrolysis and melanoidins formation and optimized the hydrothermal treatment conditions to enhance VFA production by minimizing the impact of the Maillard reaction. A response surface methodology was employed to optimize the hydrothermal treatment parameters and VFA production was evaluated. Results showed that temperature, reaction time, and pH were significant interacting factors with respect to hydrolysis and melanoidins formation while the C/N ratio and moisture content of food waste had little impact. The optimal conditions for hydrothermal treatment(temperature of 132 °C, reaction time of 27 min, and a pH of 5.6) enhanced VFA production by 22.1%. 3The Colony Predation Algorithm显示文摘This paper proposes a new stochastic optimizer called the Colony Predation Algorithm(CPA)based on the corporate predation of animals in nature.CPA utilizes a mathematical mapping following the strategies used by animal hunting groups,such as dispersing prey,encircling prey,supporting the most likely successful hunter,and seeking another target.Moreover,the proposed CPA introduces new features of a unique mathematical model that uses a success rate to adjust the strategy and simulate hunting animals'selective abandonment behavior.This paper also presents a new way to deal with cross-border situations,whereby the optimal position value of a cross-border situation replaces the cross-border value to improve the algorithm's exploitation ability.The proposed CPA was compared with state-of-the-art metaheuristics on a comprehensive set of benchmark functions for performance verification and on five classical engineering design problems to evaluate the algorithm's efficacy in optimizing engineering problems.The results show that the proposed algorithm exhibits competitive,superior performance in different search landscapes over the other algorithms.Moreover,the source code of the CPA will be publicly available after publication.Jiaze Tu Huiling Chen Mingjing Wang Amir H.Gandomi 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,3:1

10Density PSO-based software module clustering algorithm显示文摘Software module clustering is to divide the complex software system into many subsystems to enhance the intelligibility and maintainability of software systems. To increase convergence speed and optimize clustering solution,density PSO-based( DPSO) software module clustering algorithm is proposed. Firstly,the software system is converted into complex network diagram,and then the particle swarm optimization( PSO) algorithm is improved.The shortest path method is used to initialize the swarm,and the probability selection approach is used to update the particle positions. Furthermore,density-based modularization quality( DMQ) function is designed to evaluate the clustering quality. Five typical open source projects are selected as benchmark programs to verify the efficiency of the DPSO algorithm. Hill climbing( HC) algorithm,genetic algorithm( GA),PSO and DPSO algorithm are compared in the modularization quality( MQ) and DMQ. The experimental results show that the DPSO is more stable and more convergent than the other three traditional algorithms. 12Hunting Sodium Dendrites in NASICON-BasedSolid-State Electrolytes显示文摘NASICON-(Na superionic conductor-)based solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)are believed to be attracting candidates for solid-state sodium batteries due to their high ionic conductivity and prospectively reliable stability.However,the poor interface compatibility and the formation of Na dendrites inhibit their practical application.Herein,we directly observed the propagation of Na dendrites through NASICON-based Na3.1Zr2Si2.1P0.9O12 SSE for the first time.Moreover,a fluorinated amorphous carbon(FAC)interfacial layer on the ceramic surface was simply developed by in situ carbonization of PVDF to improve the compatibility between Na metal and SSEs.Surprisingly,Na dendrites were effectively suppressed due to the formation of NaF in the interface when molten Na metal contacts with the FAC layer.Benefiting from the optimized interface,both the Na||Na symmetric cells and Na3V2(PO4)3||Na solidstate sodium batteries deliver remarkably electrochemical stability.These results offer benign reference to the maturation of NASICON-based solid-state sodium batteries.Qiangqiang Zhang Yaxiang Lu Weichang Guo Yuanjun Shao Lilu Liu Jiaze Lu Xiaohui Rong Xiaogang Han Hong Li Liquan Chen Yong-Sheng Hu 2021Energy Material Advances2021,,1:1

14In situ separator modification via CVD-derived N-doped carbon for highly reversible Zn metal anodes显示文摘Attention toward aqueous zinc-ion battery has soared recently due to its operation safety and environmental benignity.Nonetheless,dendrite formation and side reactions occurred at the anode side greatly hinder its practical application.Herein,we adopt direct plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition strategy to in situ grow N-doped carbon(NC)over commercial glass fiber separator targeting a highly stabilized Zn anode.The strong zincophilicity of such a new separator would reduce the nucleation overpotential of Zn and enhance the Zn-ion transference number,thereby alleviating side reactions.Symmetric cells equipped with NC-modified separator harvest a stable cycling for more than 1,100 h under 1 mA·cm^(−2)/1 mAh·cm^(−2).With the assistance of NC,the depth of discharge of Zn anode reaches as high as 42.7%.When assembled into full cells,the zinc-ion battery based on NC-modified separator could maintain 79%of its initial capacity(251 mAh·g^(−1))at 5 A·g^(−1) after 1,000 cycles.Xianzhong Yang Weiping Li Jiaze Lv Guojie Sun Zixiong Shi Yiwen Su Xueyu Lian Yanyan Shao Aomiao Zhi Xuezeng Tian Xuedong Bai Zhongfan Liu Jingyu Sun 2022Nano Research2022,15,11:1
