| 1 | Frequency comparative study of coal-fired fly ash acoustic agglomeration显示文摘Particulate pollution is main kind of atmospheric pollution.The fine particles are seriously harmful to human health and environment.Acoustic agglomeration is considered as a promising pretreatment technology for fine particle agglomeration.The mechanisms of acoustic agglomeration are very complex and the agglomeration efficiency is affected by many factors.The most important and controversial factor is frequency.Comparative studies between high-frequency and low-frequency sound source to agglomerate coal- fired fly ash were carried out to investigate the influence of frequency on agglomeration efficiency.Acoustic agglomeration theoretical analysis,experimental particle size distributions (PSDs) and orthogonal design were examined.The results showed that the 20 kHz high-frequency sound source was not suitable to agglomerate coal-fired fly ash.Only within the size ranging from 0.2 to 0.25 μm the particles agglomerated to adhere together,and the agglomerated particles were smaller than 2.5 μm.The application of low-frequency (1000-1800 Hz) sound source was proved as an advisable pretreatment with the highest agglomeration efficiency of 75.3%,and all the number concentrations within the measuring range decreased.Orthogonal design L16 (4) 3 was introduced to determine the optimum frequency and optimize acoustic agglomeration condition.According to the results of orthogonal analysis,frequency was the dominant factor of coal-fired fly ash acoustic agglomeration and the optimum frequency was 1400 Hz. | Jianzhong Liu Jie Wang Guangxue Zhang Junhu Zhou Kefa Cen | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11: | 13 |

| 4 | On coherent structures in a three-dimensional transitional plane jet显示文摘Direct numerical simulation of coherent structures in the three-dimensional transitional jet with a moderate Reynolds number of 5000 was conducted. The finite volume method was used to discretize the governing equations in space and the low-storage, three-order Runge-Kutta scheme was used for time integration. The comparisons between the statistical results of the flow field and the related experimental data were performed to validate the reliability of the present numerical schemes. The emphasis was placed on the study of the spatial evolution of the three-dimensional coherent vortex structures as well as their interactions. It is found that the evolution of the spanwise vortex structures in three-dimensional space is similar to that in two-dimensional jet. The spanwise vortex structures are subject to three-dimensional instability and induce the formation of the streamwise and lateral vortex structures. Going with the breakup and mixing of the spanwise vortex structures, the streamwise and transverse vortex tubes also fall to pieces and the mixing arranged small-scale structures are formed in the flow field. | 7 | Therapeutic potential of menstrual blood stem cells in treating acute liver failure显示文摘BACKGROUND Acute liver failure(ALF)is a significant and complex hepatic insult that may rapidly progress to life-threatening conditions.Recently,menstrual blood stem cells(MenSCs)have been identified as a group of easily accessible mesenchymal stem cells with the advantages of non-invasive acquisition,low immunogenicity,a greater capacity of self-renewal and multi-lineage differentiation,making them promising candidates for stem cell-based therapy to revolutionize the treatment strategies for liver failure.AIM To investigate the therapeutic potential of MenSCs for treating ALF in pigs and to dynamically trace the biodistribution of transplanted cells.METHODS MenSCs were labeled in vitro with PKH26,a lipophilic fluorescent dye.The treatment group received immediate transplantation of PKH26-labelled MenSCs(2.5×106/kg)via the portal vein after D-galactosamine injection,and the control group underwent sham operation.The survival time,liver function,and hepatic pathological changes were compared between the two groups.Three major organs(liver,lungs and spleen)were extracted from animals and imaged directly with the In vivo Imaging System(IVIS)at the predetermined time points.The regions of interest were drawn to quantify the cell uptake in different organs.RESULTS The labelling procedure did not affect the morphology,viability or multipotential differentiation of MenSCs.Biochemical analysis showed that the levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL)and prothrombin time(PT)measured at selected time points 24 h after transplantation were significantly decreased in the treatment group(P<0.05).The survival time of ALF animals was prolonged in the treatment group compared with the control group(75.75±5.11 h vs 53.75±2.37 h,log rank,P<0.001).The liver pathological tissue in the MenSC treatment group showed obviously increased numbers of remaining hepatocytes and a comparatively slight necrotic degree and area.In addition,the IVIS imaging revealed that PKH26-positive MenSCs were clearly retained in the liver initially and then diffused through the systemic circulation.Interestingly,the signal intensity in the liver increased obviously at 36 h,which corresponded to the biochemical result that liver function deteriorated most rapidly at 24-36 h.CONCLUSION Our study demonstrates the therapeutic efficacy and homing ability of transplanted MenSCs in a large animal model of ALF and suggests that MenSC transplantation could be a promising strategy for treating ALF. | Pan-Pan Cen Lin-Xiao Fan Jie Wang Jia-Jia Chen Lan-Juan Li | 2019 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,41: | 2 |
| 8 | Circ_0049447 acts as a tumor suppressor in gastric cancer through reducing proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition显示文摘Background:Although increasing abnormal expression of circular RNAs(circRNAs)has been revealed in various cancers,there were a small number of studies about circRNAs in gastric cancer(GC).Here,we explored the expression and function of a novel circRNA,circ_0049447,in GC.Methods:A total of 80 GC tissues and non-tumorous tissues were collected from the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University.And all cells were cultured with 10%fetal bovine serum and incubated at 37°C and 5%CO2.The expression of circ_0049447 was quantified by real-time polymerase chain reaction.The biological function of circ_0049447 on proliferation,migration,invasion,and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)was evaluated by cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),colony formation assay,transwell migration and invasion assay,and Western blotting.Luciferase report assay was used to verify the direct binding between circ_0049447 and predicted microRNA(miRNA).Furthermore,a xenograft mouse model was used to validate the function of circ_0049447 in vivo.Results:We demonstrated that circ_0049447 was downregulated in GC(P<0.001).The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve reached 0.838,while sensitivity was 82.3%and specificity was 77.2%.CCK-8 and colony formation assay showed that overexpression of circ_0049447 could inhibit the proliferation(P<0.05).Transwell migration and invasion assay showed upregulated circ_0049447 could impede migration in GC cells(P<0.05).In addition,overexpression of circ_0049447 could impede GC cell EMT.Upregulation of miR-324-5p in GC specimens and direct binding between miR-324-5p with circ_0049447 proven by luciferase reporter assay indicated that circ_0049447 may inhibit GC by sponging certain miRNA.Conclusion:Circ_0049447 acts as a tumor suppressor in GC through reducing proliferation,migration,invasion,and EMT,and it is a promising biomarker for diagnosis. | Kai-Wen Tang Zhe-Xu Guo Zhong-Hua Wu Cen Zhou Jie Sun Xin Wang Yong-Xi Song Zhen-Ning Wang | 2021 | Chinese Medical Journal2021,,11: | 2 |

| 12 | mTOR regulates cocaine-induced behavioural sensitization through the SynDIG1–GluA2 interaction in the nucleus accumbens显示文摘Behavioral sensitization is a progressive increase in locomotor or stereotypic behaviours in response to drugs. It is believed to contribute to the reinforcing properties of drugs and to play an important role in relapse after cessation of drug abuse. However, the mechanism underlying this behaviour remains poorly understood. In this study, we showed that mTOR signaling was activated during the expression of behavioral sensitization to cocaine and that intraperitoneal or intra-nucleus accumbens (NAc) treatment with rapamycin, a specific mTOR inhibitor, attenuated cocaine-induced behavioural sensitization. Cocaine significantly modified brain lipid profiles in the NAc of cocaine-sensitized mice and markedly elevated the levels of phosphatidylinositol-4-monophosphates (PIPs), including PIP, PIP2, and PIP3. The behavioural effect of cocaine was attenuated by intra-NAc administration of LY294002, an AKT-specific inhibitor, suggesting that PIPs may contribute to mTOR activation in response to cocaine. An RNA-sequencing analysis of the downstream effectors of mTOR signalling revealed that cocaine significantly decreased the expression of SynDIG1, a known substrate of mTOR signalling, and decreased the surface expression of GluA2. In contrast, AAV-mediated SynDIG1 overexpression in NAc attenuated intracellular GluA2 internalization by promoting the SynDIG1–GluA2 interaction, thus maintaining GluA2 surface expression and repressing cocaine-induced behaviours. | 15 | Evaluation of specific fecal protein biochips for the diagnosis of colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM: To develop and initially test a potential fecal protein biochip for the screening of colorectal cancer(CRC). METHODS: Fecal protein from 20 colorectal cancer patients and 20 healthy controls were extracted from all of the fecal samples and screened for proteomic differences using a Biotin label-based protein array. Candidate proteins were then verified by ELISA. Finally, we will select out the significant protein and a seven-target multiplex fecal protein biochip was generated and tested for 20 fecal samples to determine the effectiveness of the biochip on identifying CRC. And the value of the protein biochip would be discussed. RESULTS: After tested by protein biochip of the fecal protein from 20 colorectal cancer patients and 20 healthy controls and levels of calprotectin, M2-pyruvatekinase, angiopoietin-2, fibroblast growth factor-23(FGF-23), proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase, thrombopoietin(TPO) and interleukin-13(IL-13) were significantly different between CRC and healthy controls. The sensitivity of all the seven proteins combined was 0.7, specificity was 0.4, and area under the receiver operating characteristics was 0.729. The most promising combinations of test proteins were FGF-23, TPO, and IL-13, reaching a sensitivity of 0.7 and a specificity of 0.7. The combination of FGF-23 and TPO scored highest with sensitivity of 0.7 and specificity of 0.8. Its mean that the combination of FGF-23 and TPO has the highest value for the diagnosis of CRC in our study. CONCLUSION: A protein biochip composed of proteins found to be elevated in the feces of colorectal cancer patients has great potential as a noninvasive diagnostic for colorectal cancer. | 19 | Serostatus disclosure and associated factors among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Liuzhou City, China显示文摘Introduction HIV serostatus disclosure has become an entry criterion for prevention of sexual partners spread, so we aimed to examine the prevalence of disclosure and associated factors among people living with HIV / AIDS( PLWHA) in Liuzhou City,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,southern China. Methods The PLWHA with marital or regular sexual relationship were eligible for our study,and a self-designed questionnaire was assigned to all the conveniently sampled participants. Determinants of disclosure were analyzed using chi-square test and binary Logistic regression. Results A total of 425 PLWHA were included in the present study. Two hundred and forty-five( 57. 6%) disclosed their HIV-positive status to their spouses / regular sexual partners,while 180( 42. 4%) did not. Among the 245 informed spouses / regular sexual partners,236( 96. 3%) had received the HIV testing and the positive rate was 50. 4%. While among the non-in-formed spouses / regular sexual partners,63( 35. 0%) had received the HIV testing and the positive rate was 3. 2%. Binary Logistic regression analysis indicated that age,area,monthly income,HIV / AIDS related knowledge and antiretroviral therapy( ART) were independently associated with HIV serostatus disclosure. Conclusions The disclosure rate was low in this study.
