2Cognitive improvement following transvenous adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in a rat model of traumatic brain injury显示文摘The effects of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell (ADMSC) transplantation for the repair of traumatic brain injury remain poorly understood. The present study observed neurological functional changes in a rat model of traumatic brain injury following ADMSC transplantation via the tail vein. Cell transplants were observed in injured cerebral cortex, and expression of brain-derived nerve growth factor was significantly increased in the injured hippocampus following transplantation. 3Lipid rafts participate in aberrant degradative autophagic-lysosomal pathway of amyloid-beta peptide in Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Amyloid-beta peptide is the main component of amyloid plaques,which are found in Alzheimer’s disease.The generation and deposition of amyloid-beta is one of the crucial factors for the onset and progression of Alzheimer’s disease.Lipid rafts are glycolipid-rich liquid domains of the plasma membrane,where certain types of protein tend to aggregate and intercalate.Lipid rafts are involved in the generation of amyloid-beta oligomers and the formation of amyloid-beta peptides.In this paper,we review the mechanism by which lipid rafts disturb the aberrant degradative autophagic-lysosomal pathway of amyloid-beta,which plays an important role in the pathological process of Alzheimer’s disease.Moreover,we describe this mechanism from the view of the Two-system Theory of fasciology and thus,suggest that lipid rafts may be a new target of Alzheimer’s disease treatment.Xin Zhou Chun Yang Yufeng Liu Peng Li Huiying Yang Jingxing Dai Rongmei Qu Lin Yuan 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,1:4
4Three abrupt climatic events since the Late Pleistocene in the North China Plain显示文摘Based on the data from 121 boreholes(9552 samples) and the distribution pattern analysis of foraminifera,ostracods,pollen,spores,wooly rhinoceros,elephants,water buffalo and beachrocks in time and space,three abrupt climate change events since the Late Pleistocene are recognized in the North China Plain.These climatic events caused three very warm periods and two severely cold periods.During the two warmest periods,the mean temperature was about 7℃ higher than at present,and during the two extreme cold periods,the mean temperature was some 6℃ lower than today.Moreover,the last warm period was in the Middle Holocene;its mean temperature was 3℃ higher than now in the region.Lin Jingxing Chen Lei Yang Mei Qu Ming 2013Journal of Palaeogeography2013,2,4:2
5Human iPS Cells Loaded with MnO2-Based Nanoprobes for Photodynamic and Simultaneous Enhanced Immunotherapy Against Cancer显示文摘How to trigger strong anti-tumor immune responses has become a focus for tumor therapy.Here,we report the human-induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSs)to deliver MnO2@Ce6 nanoprobes into tumors for simultaneous photodynamic therapy(PDT)and enhanced immunotherapy.Ce6 photosensitizer was attached on manganese dioxide(MnO2)nanoparticles,and resultant MnO2@Ce6 nanoprobes were delivered into mitomycin-treated iPSs to form iPS-MnO2@Ce6 nanoprobes.The iPS-MnO2@Ce6 actively targeted in vivo tumors,the acidic microenvironment triggered interaction between MnO2 and H2O2,released large quantities of oxygen,alleviated hypoxia in tumor.Upon PDT,singlet oxygen formed,broken iPSs released tumor-shared antigens,which evoked an intensive innate and adaptive immune response against the tumor,improving dendritic cells matured,effector T cells,and natural killer cells were activated.Meanwhile,regulatory T cells were reduced,and then the immune response induced by iPS-MnO2@Ce6 was markedly stronger than the immune reaction induced by MnO2@Ce6(P<0.05).The iPS-MnO2@Ce6 markedly inhibited tumor growth and metastasis and reduced mortality in mice models with tumor.Human iPS s loaded with MnO2-based nanoprobes are a promising strategy for simultaneous PDT and enhanced immunotherapy against tumor and own clinical translational prospect.Yanlei Liu Jingxing Yang Bin Liu Wen Cao Jingpu Zhang Yuming Yang Lijun Ma Jesus Martinez de la Fuente Jie Song Jian Ni Chunfu Zhang Daxiang Cui 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10:2

8Transplanted adipose-derived stem cells delay D-galactose-induced aging in rats显示文摘To investigate the effects of allogeneically transplanted, adipose-derived stem cells in aging rats, in the present study, we established a rat model of subacute aging using continuous subcutaneous injections of D-galactose. Two weeks after the adipose-derived stem cells transplantations, serum superoxide dismutase activity was significantly increased, malondialdehyde content was significantly reduced, hippocampal neuronal degeneration was ameliorated, the apoptotic index of hippocampal neurons was decreased, and learning and memory function was significantly improved in the aging rats. 10Breaking of Large-Scale Filament due to Magnetic Reconnection and Consequent Partial Eruption显示文摘Following our previous work,we studied the partial eruption of a large-scale horse-shoe-like filament that had beenobserved in a decaying active region on the solar disk for more than 4.5 days.The filament became active after itwas broken into two pieces,P1 and P2 seen in Hα,by magnetic reconnection between the magnetic field around itand that of a newly emerging active region nearby.P1 eventually erupted 13 hr after the breaking and escaped fromthe Sun,developing to a fast coronal mass ejection,and P2 stayed.But the mass in P1 falling down to P2 in theeruption suggests that the global magnetic fields over P1 and P2 were still connected to each other prior to theeruption.The reconnection process breaking the filament occurred outside the filament,and P1 and P2 were locatedalmost at the same altitude,so the fashion of the filament partial eruption studied here differs from that of the“double-decker model”and that of reconnection inside the filament.Analyzing the decay indices of thebackground fields above P1 and P2,n_(1)and n_(2),showed that the altitude where n_(1)exceeds the critical value of n_(c)=1.5 for the loss of equilibrium or the torus instability is lower than that where n_(2)>nc,and that n_(1)>n_(2) alwaysholds at all altitudes.Combining this fact with that the eruption occurred 13 hr after filament was broken byreconnection,we conclude that the eruption of P1 was triggered by the loss of equilibrium or the torus instability inthe configuration,and magnetic reconnection breaking the filament helped weaken the confinement of thebackground field on P1,allowing P1 to erupt.Detailed features of the eruption and the corresponding physicalscenario were also discussed.Kaifeng Kang Yang Guo Yan Li Jingxing Wang Jun Lin 2023Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,9:0
11Paravertebral fascial massage promotes brain development of neonatal rats via the insulin-like growth factor 1 pathway显示文摘Massage in traditional Chinese medicine can promote body and brain development of premature and normal newborn infants. In the present study, neonatal rats (1 day old) underwent paravertebral fascial massage (15 consecutive days), followed by subcutaneous injection of insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor antagonist, JB1 (9 consecutive days). Paravertebral fascial massage significantly increased insulin-like growth factor 1 expression and cell proliferation in the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricle and dentate gyrus of the hippocampus. However, JB1 inhibited this increase. 15Improved Properties of Cellulose/Antarctic Krill Protein Composite Fibers with a Multiple Cross‑Linking Network显示文摘In the present work,novel cellulose(C)/Antarctic krill protein(AKP)composite fbers with a multiple cross-linking network were prepared using glutaraldehyde(GA)as cross-linking agent to improve the fber's properties.The structure and properties of fbers were characterized by diferent techniques including FTIR,NMR,XRD,SAXS,SEM and electronic single yarn strength tester,etc.The results indicate that the reaction of GA with C and AKP separately forms a multiple cross-linking network.The C/AKP composite fbers with a multiple cross-linking network has stronger crystallization ability,higher orientation degree and deeper trench than C/AKP composite fbers.The breaking stress and wet strength of composite fbers reaches the maximum of 1.04 cN/dtex and 0.55 cN/dtex at GA content of 0.2 wt%.And the fatigue and tensile properties,hygroscopicity and moisture retention of C/AKP composite fbers has been improved.The development of C/AKP composite fbers with a multiple cross-linking network could be a promising candidate for biomedicine applications.Qiang Yang Jing Guo Yuanfa Liu Fucheng Guan Jingxing Song Xueyong Gong 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,2:0
