| 1 | NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF FLOW THROUGH ORIFICE ENERGY-DISSIPATORS IN XIAOLANGDI FLOOD-DISCHAR-GE TUNNEL显示文摘The cavitation of orifi ces is one of the main problems of the Xiaolangdi flood discharge tunnels. Along with the decompression experiment, the flow field was calculated in this paper by using an axis-symmetrical k-ε turbulence model. The calculated pressur e distribution was compared with the measured data and in agreement with each ot her. | 3 | Predicting the grades of Astragali radix using mass spectrometrybased metabolomics and machine learning显示文摘Astragali radix(AR,the dried root of Astragalus)is a popular herbal remedy in both China and the United States.The commercially available AR is commonly classified into premium graded(PG)and ungraded(UG)ones only according to the appearance.To uncover novel sensitive and specific markers for AR grading,we took the integrated mass spectrometry-based untargeted and targeted metabolomics approaches to characterize chemical features of PG and UG samples in a discovery set(n=16 batches).A series of five differential compounds were screened out by univariate statistical analysis,including arginine,calycosin,ononin,formononetin,and astragalosideⅣ,most of which were observed to be accumulated in PG samples except for astragalosideⅣ.Then,we performed machine learning on the quantification data of five compounds and constructed a logistic regression prediction model.Finally,the external validation in an independent validation set of AR(n=20 batches)verified that the five compounds,as well as the model,had strong capability to distinguish the two grades of AR,with the prediction accuracy>90%.Our findings present a panel of meaningful candidate markers that would significantly catalyze the innovation in AR grading. | Xinyue Yu Jingxue Nai Huimin Guo Xuping Yang Xiaoying Deng Xia Yuan Yunfei Hua Yuan Tian Fengguo Xu Zunjian Zhang Yin Huang | 2021 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,5: | 2 |

| 8 | Large Active Faults and the Wharton Basin Intraplate Earthquakes in the Eastern Indian Ocean显示文摘In recent years,great earthquakes occurred within the Wharton Basin in the eastern Indian Ocean,and they have been associa-ted with active faulting on the ancient oceanic crust.Large seismogenic faults were thought to be the fault reactivation on the ancient oceanic crust,but these phenomena are still unclear and require examination.This study used high-quality multibeam bathymetry and multichannel seismic data collected over the northern Ninetyeast Ridge to investigate detailed fault geometry,structure,and activity.We recognized 12 large linear active faults by integrating bathymetry maps and multichannel seismic reflection profiles.Our results showed that these faults have high angles,and they all displaced the basement and propagated to the seafloor with distinct fault scarps.They trended NWW-SEE with a spacing of 10–40km and were parallel to each other and the nearby subfault of the 2012 great intraplate earthquake,suggesting similar stress fields.These faults are also in agreement with the orientations of magnetic isochrons,implying their formation by seafloor spreading.Furthermore,regarding the strike-slip focal mechanism of 2012 earthquakes,we proposed that these faults were created early by a normal spreading process and then evolved into a strike-slip pattern since the ancient oceanic crust ap-proached the subduction zones. | CHEN Jie GUO Laiyin YANG Xiaodong ZHANG Jinchang ZHANG Zhiwen SUN Mengyu LIN Jingxue | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,6: | 0 |
| 9 | TMT Tertiary Mirror Optical Jitter Model Metrology显示文摘To measure the jitter performance of the Tirthy Meter Telescope tertary mirror( TMT M3),the model of jitter based on the accerleration signal is established. First and foremost,the procedure TMT required to processs the jitter data is presented. Then,the jitter of the system is divided into two parts: powered jitter and unpowered jitter. The metric of the jitter is required to be in the form of displacement or angle. So the frequency integration is involved to minify the error source introduced by the tending iterm in the time domain integration.In the evaluation of the power jitter,the accelerometers are used to obtain the rigid body motion of the tertiary mirror. The random decrement technique and dominated mode theory are applied to obtain the model of unpowered jitter. A classical telescope performances a 1. 6'RMS jitter metric; for a four meter scale system,the resonance frequency is around 107 Hz,powering,with 0. 14% damping. Consequently,the tip( 183 Hz,0.6%) and tilt( 193 Hz,0.19%) are both be measured. | 13 | Evaluation of the Performance of the GSSM Under Vibration Based on Normalized Point Source Sensitivity显示文摘Giant Steerable Science Mirror( GSSM) is the tertiary mirror of the Thirty Meter Telescope( TMT).To evaluate the performance of the GSSM under the mechanical vibration,the Normalized Point Source Sensitivity( PSSn) is used to understand and characterize the optical performance degradation. First and foremost,the definition of the PSSn is shown and the calculation procedure of the PSSn at the work condition where the telescope aberration is much smaller than seeing is presented to reveal the relationship between PSSn and seeing.Then,the optical degradation due to vibration is achieved by the two methods: one is the statistics moment for the arbitrary froms of vibration and other one is spectrum method for wind load. After the theoretical presence,the simulation is processed. The multi-axis-accelerometers are used to achieve the motion of the mirror. After integrated to displacement signal,the measured signal is applied to the mathematical model of the GSSM and the optical performance degradation under certain mechanical vibration can be achieved. The PSSN flows from 0.996 to 0.994 under some dynamic vibration. And then,the wind load is applied to the mathematical model using spectrum method with the PSSN flows from 0.996 to 0.991. This paper can help the system engineers to predict the performance of the GSSM in various work condition. | 14 | Crustal Structure of the Jurassic Quiet Zone in the West Pacific Ocean:Insights from 2D Multichannel Seismic Reflection Profiles显示文摘The Jurassic oceanic crust is the oldest existing oceanic crust on earth,and although distributed sparsely,carries essential information about the earth's evolution.The area around the Pigafetta Basin in the west Pacific Ocean(also known as the Jurassic Quiet Zone,JQZ)is one of a few areas where the Jurassic oceanic crust is present.This study takes full advantage of high-resolution multichannel seismic reflection profiles in combination with bathymetry,magnetic,and gravity data from the JQZ to examine the structure,deformation,and morphology of the Jurassic oceanic crust.Our results show the following insights:1)The Moho lies at 2–3 s in two-way travel time beneath the seafloor with the segmented feature.The gaps between the Moho segments well correspond to the seamounts on the seafloor,suggesting the upward migration of magma from the mantle has interrupted the pre-existing Moho.2)The oceanic crust is predominantly deformed by crustal-scale thrust faults,normal faults cutting through the top of basement,and vertical seismic disturbance zones in association with migration of thermal fluids.The thrust faults are locally found and interpreted as the results of tectonic inversion.3)Seafloor morphology in the JQZ is characterized by fault scarps,fold scarps,seamounts,and small hills,indicating the occurrence of active faults.4)The oceanic crust in the JQZ and East Pacific Rise has many structural and geometrical variations,such as the thickness of sediments,seafloor topography,basement morphology,fault size and type. | YANG Xiaodong LIN Jingxue ZHANG Jinchang LUO Yiming ZHANG Xubo QIN Zhen HUANG Yanming | 2023 | Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,5: | 0 |
