| 1 | Comparing the Diagnostic Criteria for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus of World Health Organization 2013 with 1999 in Chinese Population显示文摘INTRODUCTION Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was earlier defined as 'hyperglycemia first recognized during pregnancy' and has more recently been described by American Diabetes Association (ADA) (2012) as diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy that is not clearly overt diabetes.[1] The hyperglycemia and adverse pregnancy outcomes study (HAPO) demonstrated that the risk of adverse maternal,fetal,and neonatal outcomes continuously increase as a function of maternal glycemia at 24-28 weeks,even within ranges previously considered normal for pregnancy.[2] After reviewing the results of the HAPO study,many international diabetes study groups,including the International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Groups and ADA have adopted the 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) at 24-28 weeks as a screening and diagnostic test and defined new cut-off values for GDM diagnosis.The Ministry of Health of China published the criteria for GDM,that is the same as the ADA criteria on July 1,2011.World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended the 75 g OGTT with different cut-offvalues as a diagnostic test since 1999,changed its recommendation on 2013.In Hongkong and Yunnan province in China,most hospital adopted the WHO 1999 criteria,nevertheless,there is no evidence of multicenter and large sample to show that the GDM population within the same ethnic group diagnosed by the new WHO criteria matches those diagnosed by the old one and consistency between the two criteria has not been reported.Thus,we conducted this study to analyze the two criteria in Chinese pregnant women. | Weiwei Zhu Huixia Yang Yumei Wei Zilian Wang Xuelan Li Hairong Wu Nan Li Meihua Zhang Xinghui Liu Hua Zhang Yunhui Wang Jianmin Niu Yujie Gan Liruo Zhong Yunfeng Wang Anil Kapur | 2015 | Chinese Medical Journal2015,,1: | 42 |
| 2 | One-year clinical study of NeuroR egen scaffold implantation following scar resection in complete chronic spinal cord injury patients显示文摘The objective of this clinical study was to assess the safety and feasibility of the collagen scaffold, Neuro Regen scaffold, one year after scar tissue resection and implantation. Scar tissue is a physical and chemical barrier that prevents neural regeneration. However, identification of scar tissue is still a major challenge. In this study, the nerve electrophysiology method was used to distinguish scar tissue from normal neural tissue, and then different lengths of scars ranging from 0.5–4.5 cm were surgically resected in five complete chronic spinal cord injury(SCI) patients. The NeuroR egen scaffold along with autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells(BMMCs), which have been proven to promote neural regeneration and SCI recovery in animal models, were transplanted into the gap in the spinal cord following scar tissue resection. No obvious adverse effects related to scar resection or Neuro Regen scaffold transplantation were observed immediately after surgery or at the 12-month follow-up. In addition, patients showed partially autonomic nervous function improvement, and the recovery of somatosensory evoked potentials(SSEP) from the lower limbs was also detected. Traditional DV-Hop localization algorithm and corresponding improved ones still cannot provide sufficient localization accuracy in such WSNs. To ensure accurate localization, this paper proposes an improved Distancevector-Hop(DV-Hop) localization algorithm. Under such an algorithm, we determine a corrected average hopdistance of beacon nodes by employing the differences between actual and estimated distance among beacon nodes in WSNs. We propose a probability information based selective strategy for the selection of beacon nodes.Based on these selected beacon nodes, we adopt a two dimensional hyperbolic function to predict the locations of unknown nodes. | 5 | Characteristics of change in water quality along reclaimed water intake area of the Chaobai River in Beijing, China显示文摘To reveal the basic characteristics and controlling factors of water quality change in the project Wenyu to Chaobai reclaimed water diversion, the water quality in the study area was monitored for one year at seven monitoring sites. Inverse geochemical models of the statistical groups were developed using PHREEQC to elucidate the hydrochemistry characteristics of reclaimed water and the factors. The monitoring results indicated that nitrogen and phosphorus contents were significantly reduced along the river mainly caused by seasonal and location variation. The pH ranged from 7.44 to 9.81. Photosynthesis of algae and denitrification in anaerobic microenvironment ultimately led to a sudden p H increase after the Jian River and the Chaobai River confluence. Mg^(2+)and SO_4^(2-) levels dropped obviously in the summer and increased in winter seasons after intersection. Na+and Cl-are relatively stable, and marked drop in the concentration only after the two rivers meet. And there is a decrease of Ca^(2+) and HCO^(3-) and increase in CO_3^(2-) during monitoring period. As a whole, the primary ions and nutrient components, including nitrogen and phosphorus, had high levels in winter. Algae's photosynthesis and respiration were observed to have an impact on the river water quality; there was precipitation–dissolution of minerals and denitrification from upstream to downstream. | 7 | LjCYC Genes Constitute Floral Dorsoventral Asymmetry in Lotus japonicus显示文摘Previous study shows that LjCYC2,a CYC-like TCP (TB1,CYC and PCFs) gene in the model legume,Lotus japonicus,is involved in dorsal petal development,which together with the other two homologous genes,LjCYC1 and LjCYC3,belongs to an LjCYC gene cluster.In this report,we modified the transformation system in L.japonicus,and constructed different RNAi transgenes to target different LjCYC genes.The expression of three endogenous LjCYC genes was specifically suppressed by different specific RNAi transgenes,and a chimerical RNAi transgene that contains the specific sequences from LjCYC1 and LjCYC2 was found to downregulate the expression of both endogenous genes simultaneously.Effects of silencing three LjCYC genes were mainly restricted on either dorsal or lateral petals,demonstrating their dorsalizing and lateralizing activities during the development of zygomorphic flower.Furthermore,abolishing the expression of three LjCYC genes could give rise to complete loss of dorsoventral (DV) differentiation in the flower whose petals all resembled the ventral one in the wild type and displayed intact organ internal (IN) asymmetry.Our data demonstrate that during zygomorphic flower development,the DV asymmetry is constituted by the LjCYC genes,while the floral organ IN asymmetry is independently determined by other genetic factors. | Jiechen Wang Yumei Wang Da Luo | 2010 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2010,52,11: | 8 |
| 8 | Focal adhesion protein Kindlin-2 regulates bone homeostasis in mice显示文摘Our recent studies demonstrate that the focal adhesion protein Kindlin-2 is critical for chondrogenesis and early skeletal development. Here, we show that deleting Kindlin-2 from osteoblasts using the 2.3-kb mouse Col1 a1-Cre transgene minimally impacts bone mass in mice, but deleting Kindlin-2 using the 10-kb mouse Dmp1-Cre transgene, which targets osteocytes and mature osteoblasts, results in striking osteopenia in mice. Kindlin-2 loss reduces the osteoblastic population but increases the osteoclastic and adipocytic populations in the bone microenvironment. Kindlin-2 loss upregulates sclerostin in osteocytes,downregulates β-catenin in osteoblasts, and inhibits osteoblast formation and differentiation in vitro and in vivo. Upregulation ofβ-catenin in the mutant cells reverses the osteopenia induced by Kindlin-2 deficiency. Kindlin-2 loss additionally increases the expression of RANKL in osteocytes and increases osteoclast formation and bone resorption. Kindlin-2 deletion in osteocytes promotes osteoclast formation in osteocyte/bone marrow monocyte cocultures, which is significantly blocked by an anti-RANKLneutralizing antibody. As one critical component in sodium-ion battery, solid-state electrolyte should possess superior operational safety and design simplicity, yet reasonable high room-temperature ionic conductivity. This paper gives a comprehensive review on the recent progress in solid-state electrolyte materials for sodium-ion battery, including inorganic ceramic/glass-ceramic, organic polymer and ceramic-polymer composite electrolytes, and also provides a comparison of the ionic conductivity in various solid-state electrolyte materials. | 10 | Utilization of Ogura CMS germplasm with the clubroot resistance gene by fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement in Brassica oleracea L显示文摘Clubroot disease,a major plant root disease caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae,has become one of the most destructive diseases among cultivated cruciferous vegetables.However,clubroot-resistant Brassica oleracea materials are rare.A few clubroot-resistant cabbage varieties are available on the market,but all are Ogura cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)types.Therefore,in this study,to reutilize the clubroot-resistant Ogura CMS germplasm of cabbage,a new fertility-restored Ogura CMS material,16Q2-11,was used as a bridge to transfer the clubroot resistance(CR)gene from the Ogura CMS cytoplasm to the normal cytoplasm by a two-step method(a fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement method).In the first cross for fertility restoration of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbage(FRCRC),16Q2-11 was used as a restorer to cross with Ogura CMS materials containing the CR gene CRb2.Eleven Rfo-positive progenies were generated,of which four contained CRb2:F8-514,F8-620,F8-732 and F8-839.After inoculation with race 4 of P.brassicae,these four CRb2-positive individuals showed resistance.Furthermore,F8-514 and F8-839 were then used as male parents in the second cross of FRCRC to cross with cabbage inbred lines,resulting in the successful introgression of the CRb2 gene into the inbred lines.All offspring produced from this step of cross,which had a normal cytoplasm,showed a high resistance to race 4 of P.brassicae and could be utilized for the breeding of clubrootresistant cabbage varieties in the future.This is the first time that the Ogura CMS restorer has been used to restore the fertility of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbages,which could improve germplasm diversity in cabbage and provide a reference method for using CMS germplasm in Brassica crops. | Wenjing Ren Zhiyuan Li Fengqing Han Bin Zhang Xing Li Zhiyuan Fang Limei Yang Mu Zhuang Honghao Lv Yumei Liu Yong Wang Hailong Yu Yangyong Zhang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 7 |

| 13 | Remineralization of enamel caries by an amelogenin-derived peptide and fluoride in vitro显示文摘Dental caries is one of the most common oral diseases in the world.This study was tantamount to investigate the combinatory effects of an amelogenin-derived peptide(called QP5)and fluoride on the remineralization of artificial enamel caries.The peptide QP5 was synthesized and characterized,and the binding capability of the peptide on hydroxyapatite(HA)and demineralized tooth enamel surface was analysed.Then,the mineralization function of the peptide and fluoride was studied through the spontaneous mineralization testing and remineralization on enamel caries in vitro.First,the novel peptide QP5 could bind on the hydroxyapatite and demineralized tooth enamel surfaces.Second,QP5 can transitorily stabilize the formation of amorphous calcium phosphate and direct the transformation into hydroxyapatite crystals alone and in combination with fluoride.In addition,compared to blocks treated by peptide QP5 alone or fluoride,the sample blocks showed significantly higher surface microhardness,lower mineral loss and shallower lesion depth after treatment with a combination of QP5 and fluoride at high or low concentrations.The peptide QP5 could control the crystallization of hydroxyapatite,and combinatory application of peptide QP5 and fluoride had a potential synergistic effect on the remineralization of enamel caries. | Longjiang Ding Sili Han Kun Wang Sainan Zheng Wenyue Zheng Xiu Peng Yumei Niu Wei Li Linglin Zhang | 2020 | Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,3: | 6 |
| 14 | Construction and initial analysis of five Fosmid libraries of mitochondrial genomes of cotton(Gossypium)显示文摘Cotton(Gossypium)is an important crop providing textile fiber and edible oil.To gain the insights into mechanism of the cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS)inheritance,we constructed five fosmid libraries of mitochondrial genomes from mitotype of G.harknessii Brandegee.(one CMS line and its restorer),mitotype of G.hirsutum L.(one CMS line and its maintainer),and G.barbadense L.The numbers of the clones in these libraries ranged from 1152 to 2016 with an average insert size of 36.2 to 38.4 kb,equivalent to 70–119.3 mitogenomes.The libraries were screened with 28 markers derived from the conservative sequences and yielded 22,19,26,21,and 23 positive clones,respectively.These positive clones were used to construct the physical map of G.harknessii Brandegee.CMS line and G.barbadense L.mitogenomes that shared six syntenis regions.A total of 30 genes in nine clusters showed conservative and had high similarity with those in the mitochondrial genomes of cotton,Carica papaya,Cucurbita pepo and Nicotiana tabacum.Further investigation indicated that gene rrn26 had two copies in all five cotton mitogenomes,while genes atp1,rrn5 and rrn18 had two copies only in G.barbadense L.The positive clones and physical map are considered being useful resources in cotton genomics research. | LI ShuangShuang LIU GuoZheng CHEN ZhiWen WANG YuMei LI PengBo HUA JinPing | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,36: | 5 |

| 17 | Nanoporous titanium implant surface promotes osteogenesis by suppressing osteoclastogenesis via integrin β1/FAKpY397/MAPK pathway显示文摘Macrophages and osteoclasts are both derived from monocyte/macrophage lineage,which plays as the osteoclastic part of bone metabolism.Although they are regulated by bone implant surface nanoarchitecture and involved in osseointegration,the beneath mechanism has not been simultaneously analyzed in a given surface model and their communication with osteoblasts is also blurring.Here,the effect of implant surface topography on monocyte/macrophage lineage osteoclastogenesis and the subsequent effect on osteogenesis are systematically investigated.The nanoporous surface is fabricated on titanium implant by etching and anodizing to get the nanotubes structure.The early bone formation around implant is significantly accelerated by the nanoporous surface in vivo.Meanwhile,the macrophage recruitment and osteoclast formation are increased and decreased respectively.Mechanistically,the integrin mediated FAK phosphorylation and its downstream MAPK pathway(p-p38)are significantly downregulated by the nanoporous surface,which account for the inhibition of osteoclastogenesis.In addition,the nanoporous surface can alleviate the inhibition of osteoclasts on osteogenesis by changing the secretion of clastokines,and accelerate bone regeneration by macrophage cytokine profiles.In conclusion,these data indicate that physical topography of implant surface is a critical factor modulating monocyte/macrophage lineage commitment,which provides theoretical guidance and mechanism basis for promoting osseointegration by coupling the osteogenesis and osteoclastogenesis. | Yide He Zhe Li Xin Ding Boya Xu Jinjin Wang Yi Li Fanghao Chen Fanhui Meng Wen Song Yumei Zhang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,2: | 4 |

| 20 | A Novel Model of Predicting Archie's Cementation Factor from Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR) Logs in Low Permeability Reservoirs显示文摘The resistivity experimental measurements of core samples drilled from low permeability reservoirs of Ordos Basin,Northwest China,illustrate that the cementation factors are not agminate,but vary from 1.335 to 1.749.This leads to a challenge for the estimation of water and hydrocarbon saturation.Based on the analysis of Purcell equation and assumption that rock resistivity is determined by the parallel connection of numerous capillary resistances,a theoretical expression of cementation factor in terms of porosity and permeability is established.Then,cementation factor can be calculated if the parameters of porosity and permeability are determined.In the field application,porosity can be easily obtained by conventional logs.However,it is a tough challenge to estimate permeability due to the strong heterogeneity of low permeability reservoirs.Thus,the Schlumberger Doll Research(SDR)model derived from NMR logs has been proposed to estimate permeability.Based on the analysis of the theoretical expressions of cementation factor and SDR model,a novel cementation factor prediction model,which is relevant to porosity and logarithmic mean of NMR T2spectrum(T2lm),is derived.The advantage of this model is that all the input information can be acquired from NMR logs accurately.In order to confirm the credibility of the novel model,the resistivity and corresponding laboratory NMR measurements of 27 core samples are conducted.The credibility of the model is confirmed by comparing the predicted cementation factors with the core analyzed results.The absolute errors for all core samples are lower than 0.071.Once this model is extended to field application,the accuracy of water and hydrocarbon saturation estimation will be significantly improved. | Liang Wang Zhiqiang Mao Yujiang Shi Qin'e Tao Yumei Cheng Yong Song | 2014 | Journal of Earth Science2014,25,1: | 4 |
