1Postcranial Anatomy of the Mesozoic Dalinghosaurus (Squamata): Evidence from a New Specimen of Western Liaoning显示文摘The postcranial skeleton of a new specimen of the long-tailed lizard Dalinghosaurus longidigitus was excavated from the Yixian Formation in Lingyuan, western Liaoning. The new specimen provides more anatomical information about this species, especially about the anterior dorsal vertebrae, shoulder girdle and forelimbs. This lizard can be included within the clade Scleroglossa by its 27 or more presacrals, moderately long pubis, and gently notched distal end of tibia. But the detailed systematic position for this taxon remains undetermined. The features of the much longer hind limbs and pes compared with forelimbs and manus, metatarsal IV longer than III, pedal phalanges robust, and penultimate phalanx not longer than other phalanges etc. suggest that this lizard was a running and ground swelling animal.JIShu'an JIQiang 2004Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2004,78,4:6
2Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a saturable absorber for a tunable Q-switched dysprosium laser around 3μm显示文摘We demonstrate for the first time to our knowledge the use of Fe3O4 nanoparticles for Q-switching a tunable midinfrared(Mid-IR)Dy^3+-doped ZBLAN fiber laser around 3μm.The Q-switcher was fabricated by depositing the prepared Fe3O4 nanoparticles solution onto an Au mirror.Its nonlinear optical response was characterized using a mode locked Ho^3+/Pr^3+-codoped ZBLAN fiber laser at 2.87μm,and showed a modulation depth of 11.9%as well as a saturation intensity of 1.44 MW/cm^2.Inserting the device into a tunable Dy^3+-doped ZBLAN fiber laser,stable Q-switched pulses within the tunable range of 2812.4-3031.6 nm were obtained.When tuning the wavelength to 2931.2 nm,a maximum Q-switching output power of 111.0 mW was achieved with a repetition rate of 123.0 kHz and a pulse width of 1.25μs.The corresponding pulse energy was 0.90μJ.This demonstration suggests that Fe3O4 nanoparticles are a promising broadband saturable absorption material for mid-infrared operation.JIAN YANG JIYI HU HONGYU LUO JIANFENG LI JISHU LIU XIAOHUI LI YONG LIU 2020Photonics Research2020,8,1:4

6Caspase-1 activation and mature interleukin-1β release are uncoupled events in monocytes显示文摘AIM:To investigate whether caspase-1 activation/intracellular processing of pro-interleukin-1β(pro-IL-1β) and extracellular release of mature IL-1β from activated monocytes are separable events.METHODS:All experiments were performed on fresh or overnight cultured human peripheral blood monocytes(PBMCs) that were isolated from healthy donors.PBMCs were activated by lipopolysaccharide(LPS) stimulation before being treated with Adenosine triphosphate(ATP,1 mmol/L),human α-defensin-5(HD-5,50 μg/mL),and/or nigericin(Nig,30 μmol/L).For each experiment,the culture supernatants were collected separately from the cells.Cell lysates and supernatants were both subject to immunoprecipitation with anti-IL1β antibodies followed by western blot analysis with anti-caspase-1 and anti-IL-1β antibodies.RESULTS:We found that pro-IL-1β was processed to mature IL-1β in LPS-activated fresh and overnight cultured human monocytes in response to ATP stimulation.In the presence of HD-5,this release of IL-1β,but not the processing of pro-IL-1β to IL-1β,was completely inhibited.Similarly,in the presence of HD-5,the release of IL-1β,but not the processing of IL-1β,was significantly inhibited from LPS-activated monocytes stimulated with Nig.Finally,we treated LPS-activated monocytes with ATP and Nig and collected the supernatants.We found that both ATP and Nig stimulation could activate and release cleaved caspase-1 from the monocytes.Interestingly,and contrary to IL-1β processing and release,caspase-1 cleavage and release was not blocked by HD-5.All images are representative of three independent experiments.CONCLUSION:These data suggest that caspase-1 activation/processing of pro-IL-1β by caspase-1 and the release of mature IL-1β from human monocytes are distinct and separable events.Amy J Galliher-Beckley Li-Qiong Lan Shelly Aono Lei Wang Jishu Shi 2013World Journal of Biological Chemistry2013,4,2:1

8Improvement on the performance of perovskite solar cells by doctor-blade coating under ambient condition with hole-transporting material optimization显示文摘Numerous fabrication methods have been developed for high-efficiency perovskite solar cells(PSCs). However, these are limited to spin-coating processes in a glove box and are yet to be commercialized. Therefore, there is a need to develop a controllable and scalable deposition technique that can be carried out under ambient conditions. Even though the doctor-blade coating technique has been widely used to prepare PSCs, it is yet to be applied to high-efficiency PSCs under ambient conditions(RH ~45%, RT ~25 °C). In this study, we conducted blade-coating fabrication of modified high-efficiency PSCs under such conditions. We controlled the substrate temperature to ensure phase transition of perovskite and added dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) to the perovskite precursor solution to delay crystallization, which can facilitate the formation of uniform perovskite films by doctor-blade coating. The as-prepared perovskite films had large crystal domains measuring up to 100 μm. Solar cells prepared from these films exhibited a current density that was enhanced from 17.22 to 19.98 m A/cm^2 and an efficiency that was increased from 10.98% to 13.83%. However, the open-circuit voltage was only 0.908 V, probably due to issues with the hole-transporting layer. Subsequently, we replaced poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate(PEDOT:PSS) with Ni O x as the hole-transporting material and then prepared higher-quality perovskite films by blade-coating under ambient conditions. 10A new Early Cretaceous lizard with well-preserved scale impressions from western Liaoning, China显示文摘A new small lizard, Liaoningolacerta brevirostra gen. et sp. nov., from the Early Cretaceous Yixian Formation of western Liaoning is described in detail. The new specimen was preserved not only by the skeleton, but also by the exceptionally clear scale impressions. This lizard can be included within the taxon Scleroglossa based on its 26 or more presacrals, cruciform interclavicle with a large anterior process, moderately elongated pubis, and slightly notched distal end of tibia. The scales vary evidently in size and shape at different parts of body: small and rhomboid ventral scales, tiny and round limb scales, and large and longitudinally rectangular caudal scales that constitute the caudal whorls. 11Fe3O4 nanoparticle-enabled mode-locking in an erbiumdoped fiber laser显示文摘In this paper,we have proposed and demonstrated the generation of passively mode-locked pulses and dissipative soliton resonance in an erbium-doped fiber laser based on Fe3O4 nanoparticles as saturable absorbers.We obtained self-starting mode-locked pulses with fundamental repetition frequency of 7.69 MHz and center wavelength of 1561 nm.The output of a pulsed laser has spectral width of 0.69 nm and pulse duration of 14 ns with rectangular pulse profile at the pump power of 190 mW.As far as we know,this is the first time that Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been developed as low-dimensional materials for passive mode-locking with rectangular pulse.Our experiments have confirmed that Fe3O4 has a wide prospect as a nonlinear photonics device for ultrafast fiber laser applications.Xiaohui LI Jiajun PENG Ruisheng LIU Jishu LIU Tianci FENG Abdul Qyyum Cunxiao GAO Mingyuan XUE Jian ZHANG 2020Frontiers of Optoelectronics2020,13,2:1
