| 1 | Statistical estimations of atmospheric duct over the South China Sea and the Tropical Eastern Indian Ocean显示文摘In 2010-2012 spring, atmospheric duct observation experiments were performed throughout three open cruises over the South China Sea and the Tropical Eastern Indian Ocean. The data used for ducting analysis were measured by high resolution balloon-borne GPS radiosondes. Through data quality control and diagnostic analysis, the probability of ducting occurrence and characteristic quantities of the three typical ducts were given. The total percentage occurrence of evaporation duct, surface-based duct and elevated duct were 75.3%, 5% and 43.7%, respectively. The mean evaporation duct height was 15.3 m. The mean values of duct height, thickness and magnitude were 84.1 m, 14.9 m and 10 M-units for surfaced-based duct, and 1003.6 m, 62.2 m and 7.9 M-units for elevated duct. | 6 | Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 7 | Outcomes of 957 preterm neonatal fundus examinations in a Guangzhou NICU through 2008 to 2011显示文摘·AIM:To take fundus examination in the preterm neonates to observe the common diseases and report the outcomes in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Guangzhou between May 2008 and May 2011. ·METHODS:Fundus examinations were performed with Retcam Ⅱ in 957 prematures. ·RESULTS:There were 957 prematures in this study, including 666 males and 291 females, 2 triple births, 152 twins and 803 singletons. During the three years, 86 infants with any stage retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) (9.0%), 123 infants with retinal hemorrhage(12.9%), 10 infants with neonatal fundual jaundice(1.0%) and 3 babies with congenital choroidal coloboma (0.3%) were found. ·CONCLUSION:Early detection and prompt treatment of ocular disorders in neonates is important to avoid lifelong visual impairment. | 10 | Spontaneous regression of retinopathy of prematurity:incidence and predictive factors显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the incidence of spontaneous regression of changes in the retina and vitreous in active stage of retinopathy of prematurity(ROP) and identify the possible relative factors during the regression.·METHODS:This was a retrospective,hospital-based study.The study consisted of 39 premature infants with mild ROP showed spontaneous regression(Group A) and17 with severe ROP who had been treated before naturally involuting(Group B) from August 2008 through May 2011.Data on gender,single or multiple pregnancy,gestational age,birth weight,weight gain from birth to the sixth week of life,use of oxygen in mechanical ventilation,total duration of oxygen inhalation,surfactant given or not,need for and times of blood transfusion,1,5,10-min Apgar score,presence of bacterial or fungal or combined infection,hyaline membrane disease(HMD),patent ductus arteriosus(PDA),duration of stay in theneonatal intensive care unit(NICU) and duration of ROP were recorded.·RESULTS:The incidence of spontaneous regression of ROP with stage 1 was 86.7%,and with stage 2,stage 3was 57.1%,5.9%,respectively.With changes in zone Ⅲregression was detected 100%,in zone Ⅱ 46.2% and in zone Ⅰ 0%.The mean duration of ROP in spontaneous regression group was 5.65±3.14 weeks,lower than that of the treated ROP group(7.34 ±4.33 weeks),but this difference was not statistically significant(P =0.201).GA,1min Apgar score,5min Apgar score,duration of NICU stay,postnatal age of initial screening and oxygen therapy longer than 10 days were significant predictive factors for the spontaneous regression of ROP(P <0.05).Retinal hemorrhage was the only independent predictive factor the spontaneous regression of ROP(OR 0.030,95%CI 0.001-0.775,P =0.035).·CONCLUSION:This study showed most stage 1 and 2ROP and changes in zone Ⅲ can spontaneously regression in the end.Retinal hemorrhage is weakly inversely associated with the spontaneous regression. | Rui-Hong Ju Jia-Qing Zhang Xiao-Yun Ke Xiao-He Lu Li-Fang Liang Wu-Jun Wang | 2013 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013,6,4: | 4 |
| 11 | Multi-scale variability of the tropical Indian Ocean circulation system revealed by recent observations显示文摘The tropical Indian Ocean circulation system includes the equatorial and near-equatorial circulations, the marginal sea circulation, and eddies. The dynamic processes of these circulation systems show significant multi-scale variability associated with the Indian Monsoon and the Indian Ocean dipole. This paper summarizes the research progress over recent years on the tropical Indian Ocean circulation system based on the large-scale hydrological observations and numerical simulations by the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology(SCSIO), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Results show that:(1) the wind-driven Kelvin and Rossby waves and eastern boundary-reflected Rossby waves regulate the formation and evolution of the Equatorial Undercurrent and the Equatorial Intermediate Current;(2) the equatorial wind-driven dynamics are the main factor controlling the inter-annual variability of the thermocline in the eastern Indian Ocean upwelling;(3) the equatorial waves transport large amounts of energy into the Bay of Bengal in forms of coastal Kelvin and reflected free Rossby waves. Several unresolved issues within the tropical Indian Ocean are discussed:(i) the potential effects of the momentum balance and the basin resonance on the variability of the equatorial circulation system, and(ii) the potential contribution of wind-driven dynamics to the life cycle of the eastern Indian Ocean upwelling. | 12 | Spatial inequality, characteristics of internal migration, and pulmonary tuberculosis in China, 2011–2017: a spatial analysis显示文摘Background: Human migration facilitate the spread of tuberculosis(TB).Migrants face an increased risk of TB infection.In this study,we aim to explore the spatial inequity of sputum smear-positive pulmonary TB(SS+PTB)in China;and the spatial heterogeneity between SS+PTB and internal migration.Methods:: Notified SS+PTB cases in 31 provinces in China's Mainland were obtained from the national web-based PTB surveillance system database.Internal migrant data were extracted from the report on China’s migrant population development.Spatial autocorrelations were explored using the global Moran’s statistic and local indicators of spatial association.The spatial variation in temporal trends was performed using Kulldorff’s scan statistic.Fixed effect and spatial autoregressive models were used to explore the spatial inequity between SS+PTB and internal migration.Results: A total of 2380233 SS+PTB cases were reported in China between 2011 and 2017,of which,1716382(72.11%)were male and 663851(27.89%)were female.Over 70%of internal migrants were from rural households and had lower income and less education.The spatial variation in temporal trend results showed that there was an 9.9%average annual decrease in the notification rate of SS+PTB from 2011 to 2017;and spatial clustering of SS+PTB cases was mainly located in western and southern China.The spatial autocorrelation results revealed spatial clustering of internal migration each year(2011–2017),and the clusters were stable within most provinces.Internal emigration,urban-to-rural migration and GDP per capita were significantly associated with SS+PTB,further,internal emigration could explain more variation in SS+PTB in the eastern region in mainland.However,internal immigration and rural-to-urban migration were not significantly associated with SS+PTB across China.Conclusions: Our study found the spatial inequity between SS+PTB and internal migration.Internal emigration,urban-to-rural migration and GDP per capita were statistically associated with SS+PTB;the negative association was identified between internal emigration,urban-to-rural migration and SS+PTB.Further,we found those migrants with lower income and less education,and most of them were from rural households.These findings can help stakeholders to implement effective PTB control strategies for areas at high risk of PTB and those with high rates of internal migration. | Wen-Chong He Ke Ju Ya-Min Gao Pei Zhang Yin-Xia Zhang Ye Jiang Wei-Bin Liao | 2020 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2020,9,6: | 4 |
| 13 | Intercomparison of GPS radiosonde soundings during the eastern tropical Indian Ocean experiment显示文摘Temperature and relative humidity profiles derived from two China-made global positioning system(GPS)radiosondes(GPS-TK and CF-06-A)during the east tropical Indian Ocean(ETIO)experiment were compared with Vaisala RS92-SGP to assess the performances of China-made radiosondes over the tropical ocean.The results show that there have relative large biases in temperature observations between the GPSTK and the RS92-SGP in the low troposphere,with a warm bias of greater than 2 K in the day and a cooling bias of 0.6 K at night.The temperature differences of the CF-06-A were small in the troposphere both in daytime and nighttime,and became large peak-to-peak fluctuations in the stratosphere.The intercomparison of the relative humidity showed that the CF-06-A had large random errors due to the limitation of sensors and the lack of correction scheme,and the GPS-TK had large systematic biases in the low troposphere which might be related to the temperature impact.GPS height measurements are clearly suitable for China-made radiosonde systems operation.At night,the CF-06-A and the GPS-TK could provide virtual potential temperature and atmospheric boundary layer height measurements of suitable quality for both weather and climate research.As a result of the intercomparison experiment,major errors in the Chinamade radiosonde systems were well indentified and subsequently rectified to ensure improving accuracy for historical and future radiosondes. | XIE Qiang HUANG Ke WANG Dongxiao YANG Lei CHEN Ju WU Zewen LI Daning LIANG Zhiyan | 2014 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,1: | 4 |

No p34cdc2, H1 kinase activity was detected in the oocytes after progesterone stimulation or OA microinjection; Western blotting analysis showed that the level of p3cdc2, and p33 in the oocytes are significantly lower than those in the oocytes derived from the hibernating toads (below 10 ℃). 25S-Met incorporation analysis showed that when the oocytes were incubated at 6℃, synthesis of about thirty defferent polypeptides was promoted or induced, including p34cdc2 and some other p13suc1-binding proteins. All these results indicated that a low temperature environment is essential for the oocytes of Bufo Bufo gargarizans to express and store some cell cycle drivers and its regulators, and to gain the maturation competence. | 17 | Predicting the present-day in situ stress distribution within the Yanchang Formation Chang 7 shale oil reservoir of Ordos Basin, central China显示文摘The Yanchang Formation Chang 7 oil-bearing layer of the Ordos Basin is important in China for producing shale oil.The present-day in situ stress state is of practical implications for the exploration and development of shale oil;however,few studies are focused on stress distributions within the Chang 7 reservoir.In this study,the present-day in situ stress distribution within the Chang 7 reservoir was predicted using the combined spring model based on well logs and measured stress data.The results indicate that stress magnitudes increase with burial depth within the Chang 7 reservoir.Overall,the horizontal maximum principal stress(SHmax),horizontal minimum principal stress(Shmin) and vertical stress(Sv) follow the relationship of Sv≥SHmax>Shmin,indicating a dominant normal faulting stress regime within the Chang 7 reservoir of Ordos Basin.Laterally,high stress values are mainly distributed in the northwestern parts of the studied region,while low stress values are found in the southeastern parts.Factors influencing stress distributions are also analyzed.Stress magnitudes within the Chang 7 reservoir show a positive linear relationship with burial depth.A larger value of Young's modulus results in higher stress magnitudes,and the differential horizontal stress becomes higher when the rock Young's modulus grows larger. | Wei Ju Xiao-Bing Niu Sheng-Bin Feng Yuan You Ke Xu Geof Wang Hao-Ran Xu | 2020 | Petroleum Science2020,17,4: | 3 |
| 18 | Antioxidative and immunological effects of Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharides on the spleen injury of diabetic rats显示文摘OBJEVTIVE:To investigate the effects of Cyclocarya paliurus(C.paliurus)polysaccharides on the spleen injury of diabetic rats.METHODS:Animals were divided into 6 groups,including normal group,model group,control group,low-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment,middle-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment and high-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment.Histological analysis of spleen was analyzed using hematoxilin and eosin.Levels of biological parameters and anti-oxidative enzymes were determined by spectrophotometry.Interleukin-7(IL-7)and IL-10 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Compared with that of model group,superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione peroxidase,glutathione reductase level increased 78.63%(P<0.05),51.76%(P<0.05),2.95 times(P<0.01)and 41.11%(P<0.05)in the high-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment,respectively.IL-7 and IL-10 increase 1.66(P<0.01)and 1.21 times(P<0.01)in the high-dose group of C.paliurus polysaccharides treatment,respectively.CONCLUSION:It is suggested that C.paliurus polysaccharides may play a protecting role for spleen injury of diabetic rats by enhancing the antioxidative ability and evaluating the immunity. | XIA Xichao LI Bin QIU Ju TIAN Gang CHEN Changdong LA Ming ZHANG Ke QI Jinxu LI Yanyan GAO Huashan SHAO Xiangyang SU Congying WANG Mengqi OUYANG Jingfeng | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,5: | 2 |
