| 1 | Spatial continuity incorporated multi-attribute fuzzy clustering algorithm for blood vessels segmentation显示文摘A three-dimensional representation of vasculature can be extremely important in image-guided neurosurgery, pre-surgical planning. In this paper, a spatial continuity incorporated multi-attribute fuzzy clustering algorithm (MAFCM S) is proposed to segment entire blood vessels from TOF MRA images. This clustering method takes both the intensity information and the geometrical information into account, while most of the cur- rent clustering methods only deal with the former. In this method, a new dissimilarity measure, which integrates the intensity and the geometry shape dissimilarity, is introduced. Because of the presence of the geometrical information, the new measure is able to differentiate the pixels with similar intensity values within different geometrical shape structures. | 2 | Compositional dependence of hydrogenation performance of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb high-entropy alloys for hydrogen/tritium storage显示文摘A series of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb high-entropy alloys with different Mo concentrations were developed as candidate materials for hydrogen/tritium storage in solid phase.The crystal structures and hydrogenation properties of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry techniques.All the alloys have a body-centred cubic single phase structure.The results demonstrate that the cell volume of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb hydride decreases with increasing Mo concentration,which reduces their thermal stability.The theoretical calculation proposes that the lower binding energy of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb hydride decreases the thermal stability of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys with higher Mo content.The great hydrogenation performance for all the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys is owing to their reversible single-phase transformation during the hydrogen absorption-desorption cycle,which would be bene ficial to improving the hydrogen recycling rate and preventing the disproportionation.The compositional dependence of the hydrogenation performance of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys was established and will be useful in designing novel hydrogen/tritium storage materials to satisfy the requirements of diffe rent application fields in hydrogen,solar thermal and nuclear energy. | Huahai Shen Jutao Hu Pengcheng Li Gang Huang Jianwei Zhang Jinchao Zhang Yiwu Mao Haiyan Xiao Xiaosong Zhou Xiaotao Zu Xinggui Long Shuming Peng | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,20: | 2 |

| 17 | Compounding effects of human activities and climatic changes on coexistence of oasis-desert ecosystems:Prioritizing resilient decision-making for a riskier world显示文摘Water-salt balance is critical for the stable coexistence of salt-affected and groundwater-fed oasis-desert ecosystems. Yet, a comprehensive investigation of how soil salinization and groundwater degradation threaten the coexistence of oasis-desert ecosystems is still scarce, especially under the compounding effects of human activities and climatic changes. Here, we assessed the impacts of irrigated agriculture on hydrological regimes in oasisdesert systems, investigated the spatio-temporal variations of soil salinization in irrigated cropland, and evaluated the implications of the interplays of soil salinization and groundwater degradation on the coexistence of oasis-desert ecosystems in northwestern China, based on meaningful modelling approaches and comprehensive measurements over 1995–2020. The results showed that the irrigation return flow coefficient decreased sharply from 0.21 ± 0.09 in the traditional irrigation period to 0.09 ± 0.01 in the water-saving irrigation period. The continuous drop in groundwater tables and significant degradation of groundwater quality are occurring throughout this watershed. The eco-environmental flows are reaching to their limit with watershed closures(i.e.,the drainage from the oasis region into the desert region is being weakened or even eliminated), although these progressions were largely hidden by regional precipitation and streamflow variability. The process of salt migration and accumulation across different landscapes in oasis-desert system is being reshaped, and soil salinization in water-saving agricultural irrigated lands is accelerating with a regional average annual growth rate of18%. The vegetation in this watershed is degrading, and anthropogenic disturbance accelerates this trend. Our results highlight that environmental stress adaptation strategies must account for resilience maintenance to avoid accelerating catastrophic transitions in oasis-desert ecosystems. | 18 | Breaking Mirror Circularly Polarized Luminescence of Chiral Metal-Organic Frameworks by High-Pressure Stimulation显示文摘Understanding high-pressure-stimulated circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)of enantiomers remains a challenging but significant task in fundamental research and optical applications.Here,we combined in situ high-pressure photoluminescence with circularly polarized light to study how high pressure stimulated the CPL of crystalline enantiomers.Chiral lanthanide(Ln)-tartrate(Tar)metal-organic frameworks(MOFs;Ln=Eu,Tb)were synthesized to study their CPL from atmospheric pressure to 10 GPa.Under atmospheric pressure,D-and L-Eu(Tar)showed strong andmirror CPL.CPL intensity changes,emission wavelength shifts,and signal inversions were induced by increasing pressure.Note that the D-Eu(Tar)enantiomer showed strong CPL with a maximal dissymmetric factor(g_(lum))of 0.69 under 3 GPa,which is much higher than that under atmospheric pressure and of other reported MOF-based CPL materials.More interestingly,D-and L-Ln(Tar)enantiomers display obvious asymmetric CPL signals with increasing pressure,demonstrating that high pressure can break the mirror CPL of the MOF enantiomers.Our findings provide a critical understanding on in situ high-pressure CPL of chiral materials and establish a new optical phenomenon where high pressure can break the mirror CPL of enantiomers. | Laizhi Sui Zhi-Bin Jin Guangming Niu Jutao Jiang Qiao-Hong Li Li-Mei Chang Kaijun Yuan Zhi-Gang Gu Jian Zhang Xueming Yang | 2023 | CCS Chemistry2023,5,10: | 0 |
