| 1 | Allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell immunotherapy exhibits promising clinical safety and prolongs the survival of patients with late-stage lung or liver cancer显示文摘Vγ9Vδ2 T cells are promising candidates for cellular tumor immunotherapy.Due to their HLA-independent mode of action,allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T cells can be considered for clinical application.To apply allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T cells in adoptive immunotherapy,the methodology used to obtain adequate cell numbers with optimal effector function in vitro needs to be optimized,and clinical safety and efficacy also need to be proven.Therefore,we developed a novel formula to improve the expansion of peripheralγδT cells from healthy donors.Then,we used a humanized mouse model to validate the therapeutic efficacy of expandedγδT cells in vivo;furthermore,the expandedγδT cells were adoptively transferred into late-stage liver and lung cancer patients.We found that the expanded cells possessed significantly improved immune effector functions,including proliferation,differentiation,and cancer cell killing,both in vitro and in the humanized mouse model.Furthermore,a phase I clinical trial in 132 late-stage cancer patients with a total of 414 cell infusions unequivocally validated the clinical safety of allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T cells.Among these 132 patients,8 liver cancer patients and 10 lung cancer patients who received≥5 cell infusions showed greatly prolonged survival,which preliminarily verified the efficacy of allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell therapy.Our clinical studies underscore the safety and efficacy of allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell immunotherapy,which will inspire further clinical investigations and eventually benefit cancer patients. | Yan Xu Zheng Xiang Mohammed Alnaggar Léonce Kouakanou Jiawei Li Junyi He Jiashuang Yang Yi Hu Yan Chen Li Lin Jianlei Hao Jingxia Li Jibing Chen Man Li Qingling Wu Christian Peters Qinghua Zhou Jianshuang Li Yingqing Liang Xiaohua Wang Baohui Han Meili Ma Dieter Kabelitz Kecheng Xu Wenwei Tu Yangzhe Wu Zhinan Yin | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,2: | 8 |

| 3 | Clinical Pathologic Study on Effect of Qianggan Capsule (强肝胶囊) in Treating Patients of Chronic Hepatitis B with Liver Cirrhosis显示文摘Objective: To explore the clinical therapeutic effect of Qianggan Capsule (QGC) in treating chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis from the pathological aspect. Methods: Sixty three patients of chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis were randomly divided into the treated group (n=45) and the control group (n=18). Both groups were treated with general liver protective drugs, such as Glucurone and vitamins B complex for 6 months. To the treated group, QGC was used additionally. The levels of serum alanine transaminase and liver fibrosis indexes including hyaluronic acid (HA), collagen type Ⅳ (C Ⅳ) and laminin (LN) as well as the pathological examination of liver biopsy were observed before and after treatment. Results: The liver cirrhosis indexes, HA, C Ⅳ and LN, were improved significantly in the treated group after treatment, P <0.05. The liver function improvement rate in the treated group and the control group was 90.3% and 66.7% respectively, comparison of the two groups showed insignificant difference, P >0.05. Pathological examination showed that the effective rate of treatment on liver inflammatory necrosis activity grade in the treated group was 57.8% and that on liver fibrosis stage was 75.6%, which were significantly improved as compared with those before treatment ( P <0.05 and P <0.01), while in the control group, no significant improvement was found after treatment ( P >0.05). | 9 | A framework of force of information influence and application for C4KISR system显示文摘The subversive nature of information war lies not only in the information itself, but also in the circulation and application of information. It has always been a challenge to quantitatively analyze the function and effect of information flow through command, control, communications, computer, kill, intelligence,surveillance, reconnaissance (C4KISR) system. In this work, we propose a framework of force of information influence and the methods for calculating the force of information influence between C4KISR nodes of sensing, intelligence processing,decision making and fire attack. Specifically, the basic concept of force of information influence between nodes in C4KISR system is formally proposed and its mathematical definition is provided. Then, based on the information entropy theory, the model of force of information influence between C4KISR system nodes is constructed. Finally, the simulation experiments have been performed under an air defense and attack scenario. The experimental results show that, with the proposed force of information influence framework, we can effectively evaluate the contribution of information circulation through different C4KISR system nodes to the corresponding tasks. | 10 | Phase-transforming mechanical metamaterials with dynamically controllable shape-locking performance显示文摘Active mechanical metamaterials with customizable structures and deformations,active reversible deformation,dynamically controllable shape-locking performance and stretchability are highly suitable for applications in soft robotics and flexible electronics,yet it is challenging to integrate them due to their mutual conflicts.Here,we introduce a class of phase-transforming mechanical metamaterials(PMMs)that integrate the above properties.Periodically arranging basic actuating units according to the designed pattern configuration a nd positional relationship,PMMs can customize complex and diverse structures and deformations.Liquid-vapor phase transformation provides active reversible large deformation while a silicone matrix offers stretchability.The contained carbonyl iron powder endows PMMs with dynamically controllable shape-locking performance,thereby achieving magnetically assisted shape locking and energy storing in different working modes.We build a theoretical model and finite element simulation to guide the design process of PMMs,so as to develop a variety of PMMs with different functions suitable for different applications,such as a programmed PMM,reconfigurable antenna,soft lens,soft mechanical memory,biomimetic hand,biomimetic flytrap and self-contained soft gripper.PMMs are applicable to achieve various 2D deformations and 2D-to-3D deformations,and integrate multiple properties,including customizable structures and deformations,active reversible deformation,rapid reversible shape locking,adjustable energy storing and stretchability,which could open a new application avenue in soft robotics and flexible electronics. | Yiding Zhong Wei Tang Huxiu Xu Kecheng Qin Dong Yan Xujun Fan Yang Qu Zhaoyang Li Zhongdong Jiao Huayong Yang Jun Zou | 2023 | National Science Review2023,10,9: | 0 |
